I stopped by for Recess (Happy Hour)and It was a vibe . The Bartenders and staff were really friendly. My drink(Hall Pass) was good and cute-sie... I will definitely go back.
Came for happy hour with bestie. Had smash sliders and wonderful cocktails - extremely well made and yummy! Layne was our server and kept things rolling, took great care of us and made our night very enjoyable. Will definitely be back sooner than later! :)
I like the new couch area outside! We came in for Happy Hour and had some lovely cocktails and snacks. Our server Layne was super attentive and funny! Will definitely be back to hang out again. Thanks Layne!
I have been coming as a customer to Public School Restaurant for at least five years and really love this restaurant. The food is always superb and stellar. Javier has been my waiter several times and he has always kind, compassionate and patient. He held it down at the bar tonight along with Alex who has always been friendly, kind, and a great server. Thank you both for always making me feel welcomed and supported when I dine in here! Warmly, Marguerite
Best Impossible Burger ever — so juicy and flavorful! I added American cheese, and it was perfect. My parents had the fish and salmon plates and loved them, said they were absolutely delicious. We also tried the cauliflower wings — very tasty! Service was okay; I didn’t exactly feel the warmest welcome when we walked in. The waiter with glasses made me feel a bit dumb when I asked menu questions, but hey that’s ok, you can’t have it all. The outdoor seating area looks really fun with lots of TVs, and they’ve got great happy hour specials too.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Public School 310 – A Gastropub with Flavor and Fun Public School 310 is such a fun spot with a creative schoolhouse theme and an easygoing vibe. We ordered the burger, chicken wings, and salad, and everything hit the mark. • The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right — definitely one of the standouts. • The chicken wings had great flavor and just the right amount of crispiness, perfect for sharing. • The salad was fresh and bright, balancing out the richness of the other dishes nicely. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the staff was attentive and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy comfort food with a creative twist and feel right at home. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when in the area!
I didn’t get his name but there is a person who is the manager but also sometimes sees the tables he is this super lovely men really nice men. I really appreciated him. He is the absolute best. The waiters are similarly super nice and welcoming. I loved their onion rings as well.
This a review is focused on Public School 310's Impossible Burger. I don't eat Impossible products all the time, but I think this Burger easily stands out because it has character. The choice of ingredients results in a well-thought out veggie burger. The arugula and peppered mushrooms are complimented by the tomato jam, which leans on the sweeter side. It doesn't overpower the other flavors. The parmesan crisp is a great touch and adds a new texture layer: crunchy. The brioche is fresh and delicious. I've also ordered multiple appetizers and sides. Their tots are really great, I recommend those. As I mentioned, I've visited throughout the years to order this meal and always had a good customer service experience. The atmosphere is great, and the decor gives a cozy / creative vibe.
My daughter and I met here for dinner and we had the absolute best time ever we decided to order the same thing the medallions with truffle mushrooms it was fabulous we also had side salads and an order of sweet fries and butter Chardonnay that was exquisite what a great restaurant to find
We ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, chorizo mac and cheese, and the barbacoa chili cheese tater tots. I personally enjoyed the truffle fries and mac and cheese, but they were all really good! I think they’re on the happy hour menu too so you can get a small discount. The tater tots serving size was much bigger and quite filling than the other two dishes. Service was fast and very friendly, the drinks selection was great, and the vibes were laidback and chill!
The food tastes good, but the portions are small and expensive. See the impossible burger with fries in my pictures. I put the fork on the burger for scale. Smaller than a burger serving when you buy impossible burgers in the store. For $19 + tax and tip I expect to be full on a burger and fries, not wondering why it's only a little bigger than a slider. It did taste good, though. I skipped the Parmesan crisp. My hubby and son got the naked wings, also very small appetizer, and Ahi avocado tacos. The tacos were like little sushi things, liked cute It was difficult to get the waiter's attention, and took a very long time to order. They have long tables for groups to share out front.
Public school is cool place. The bf and I sat at the bar. The waiter the was super friendly...I wish I would have gotten his name to give him a proper shout out. Please excuse the picture of my half drunken Irish coffee and half eaten buffalo cauliflower. By the time I realized I needed to take a picture.... well we had already enjoyed a few bites and sips. I like that the cauliflower where large pieces and they had good texture. But I will say they were a bit on the bready side. They had a nice buffalo taste and came with a side of blue cheese dressing and marinara sauce which personally I thought was weird. I've never had any buffalo flavor food with marinara sauce. I just feel like those are two competing flavors and not complimentary to each other. We also got the pb & j burger. Sounds weird but its actually delicious. For me I could have used more pb.... I love pb and the fact that they use chunky pb is awesome. The meat tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly... medium. The bacon lardons (thick cut bacon chucks) added a nice saltiness to the sweet pb&j. I would totally order this again. We got fries as the companion but you can decide to get a peanut coleslaw or red quinoa. The fries came with a side of sriracha ketchup, which is not for me. I like my ketchup to just taste like ketchup. As for the drinks, I personally am not a big drinker.... i'm still learning. But the Irish coffee was good. Although I thought it could have been sweeter. My bf got the coffee stout, which he said he like... again not for. But I'm not a beer drinker. He also got the guavalajara. Which had a lovely presentation and delicious flavor. My bf said he could drink those all day. You could taste the basil. Very nice. This place was very nice and I love the look of the menu and napkins.... super cute.
Still a solid 3 stars. Not amazing, but it’s “meh”. It’s a meal. I ordered the Torta de Carnitas with a side of Mac & Cheese and the fried pickles. The pickles were so salty. I’m not sure if it’s the brand of pickles they are using or if the batter itself is heavily salted, but I could only get through 6 pieces before I had to give them up. The Torta de Carnitas is literally just a sandwich, and not a great one. It’s on a multigrain (or whole wheat) ciabatta, with more lettuce than anything else. There was minimal carnitas in it and minimal sauce. Overall, the sandwich was incredibly dry. The pickled onions added a strange ‘zing’ which didn’t work out, so I pulled them all out of the sandwich. Sad that it wasn’t worth it.
The water cups were disgusting dirty. They didn’t look clean and even had green chunks on the glass. I ordered the tropical berry lemonade and it was missing the blueberry and mint. The food was good and when we asked for peppers for our pizza we got a pepper shaker lol. Overall, food was good everything else sucked. (There was even something we ordered off the menu and was told by our server that they add things on the menu that aren’t available yet to make it difficult on them.)
I rarely leave feedback like this, but what I witnessed during my last visit was uncomfortable and unacceptable. The manager with short brown hair (I overheard her name is Christina) spoke to her staff in a very disrespectful and demeaning manner. Her tone and body language made it clear she was irritated and disengaged, and it was unpleasant to witness as a customer. Seeing a manager speak down to employees creates an uncomfortable environment and makes you question the atmosphere of the business and whether it’s a place you want to support.
Call me a member of The Beatles because I was a-Paul-ed by the service my friends and I received tonight. While we were about to be seated one of the hosts, blonde woman with tattoos was communicating with the other about our party and I heard her whisper “put them in the back”. We were then seated and then we ordered truffle fries for the table. After they brought them out we were planning on eating there but not once did a waiter come to our table or ask if we were doing good. We ate the fries and then waited a bit longer to see if maybe we’d be helped but then I had to waive down a waitress to even look at our table to bring us the check. Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant.
The service here is not up to standards at all. I’m not one to usually post a bad review but stay away from Public School 310. The food came out cold multiple times the chicken was not fully cooked. The entire energy at the restaurant was off there was no synchronization between the waiters and the kitchen staff. Our order had to be sent back multiple times. The food looks great it is photo-worthy and very presentable that is just about the only really good thing about this establishment. I am really disappointed that my experience at this restaurant did not go as planned and a bad combination of bad staff and a bad experience with the food was just not acceptable by any means.
