Unforgettable experience! First vegetarian restaurant of my life, and it was magical! Beautiful place, with a completely open kitchen. Private parking available. Very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. The dishes, starting with the bread, were all exquisite! My favorites were the tagliatelle with cocoa and the tomini en crosta. The almond cake was delicious! I can't wait to go back already!!!

Hortus is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant located in Cusano Milanino. It's spacious and welcoming inside (though outdoor seating is available), and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant's values, especially social inclusion and meticulous attention to the ingredients used, add a significant value (this is evident in the menu and the materials used throughout the restaurant). The food is exquisite and authentic, and the service, I repeat, is excellent. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

A truly satisfying experience! Simple but very charming place, private parking available (call ahead). Attentive and attentive welcome. The wait staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, the service is quick and precise. The dishes are impeccably prepared, with respect for the ingredients. The gyoza and goat's blue cheese risotto are delicious. Very high quality and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it! WELL DONE!!!!

Dinner to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The place is very charming and intimate, with a very relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at ease. We opted for the tasting menu, which features seasonal ingredients (coincidence or not, Vivaldi's Four Seasons was playing in the background). From the first course to the last, it was a fantastic experience, transporting us on a grand tour of flavors. The service deserves special praise for its attentive service and friendliness. I highly recommend this restaurant, even for those who aren't vegetarian but want to explore a world of flavors beyond the usual restaurant offerings. We'll definitely be back.

I had dinner with my friends. The dishes were excellent, with impeccable attention to the ingredients and original presentation. I recommend the broad beans and chicory by the glass. The service was attentive, attentive, but never excessive. The wine list was also excellent (we chose an excellent Falanghina sparkling wine, served at just the right temperature). I will definitely be back.

I would describe Hortus as serving excellent food that happens not to contain meat or fish, rather than thinking of it as a vegetarian restaurant. I was in Milan for work and needed somewhere to eat with colleagues, one of whom is a vegetarian - none of us was disappointed, nor did we leave the place hungry. The service was first rate, too. I would be very happy to return any time.

Ristorante molto bello, atmosfera ben curata e anche il servizio è molto attento al dettaglio. Cibo molto buono, qualità prezzo ottima. Molte opzioni anche senza glutine. Ottima posizione e ha anche un posteggio disponibile su richiesta (che non ho provato). Bello che sia un posto inclusivo per persone con disabilità nello staff. Il personale senza disabilità dovrebbe applicarsi un po' di più.

Nonostante non sia un'amante del vegetariano devo dire che Hortus è davvero un ottimo locale, dai colori e dai profumi unici. Il prezzo del coperto a prima vista sembra un po' altino, ma comprende, oltre ad un ottimo servizio, acqua e pane a volontà. Il menù presenta due menù degustazione uno "small" e l'altro "large", per soddisfare anche gli stomaci più capienti, oltre hai primi, secondi e dessert alla carta. Carta dei vini e delle birre artigianali totalmente italiani. Ottima flessibilità degli ingredienti dei piatti, ho apprezzato molto che al posto del cavolfiore nei tramezzini di legumi mi sia stato portato della purea di patate. L'unico piatto che mi ha deluso della degustazione è stato l'assaggio di formaggi misti. Mi aspettavo magari dei pezzi di formaggio più piccoli ma qualche tipologia in più. Servizio impeccabile! Locale molto elegante e moderno con cucina a vista. Conto che rispetta la qualità!

A truly beautiful and well-kept place, very quiet. The staff were kind and courteous. Unfortunately, the portions didn't even begin to reflect the price we paid for the menu. It's a real shame because everything was delicious, but we left still hungry.

The piace and people are simply AMAZING we had a beautiful surprise not mentioned in the website.. the food is great we really appreciated everything . The only weak point is the price to be honest is too high a slice of lasagna is 16 euros.. great experience overall .

I returned to Hortus after several years, and unfortunately, I wasn't 100% convinced. We made reservations a few days in advance for 12 people. Knowing there were so many of us, we were surprised to find that they would incredibly accommodate us and seat us in the "special" underground room. Unfortunately, despite the "private" seating, we quickly became discouraged due to the biting cold, which forced us to dine in coats. Another point to address is the slowness in preparing the dishes. I appreciate that many things are made in-house, but still, we waited an hour for the first course (which, in most cases, was a first course). For example, mine was tagliatelle al cacao with ragù—once you cook the tagliatelle and heat the sauce… how long will it take? Obviously, I'm speaking as someone who knows absolutely nothing about running a restaurant kitchen, so I could be wrong, but yes, the wait was quite long. Another sore point, although I take into account the fact that it's a gourmet restaurant that makes many of the basic preparations in-house, is the very high price. A tagliatelle starter is fine at €14 (though it didn't fill me up), but a cheese tasting at €13 with two small wedges isn't so much. Furthermore, although I really appreciate the vegan and other vegetarian options, I never leave feeling 100% convinced by the taste (e.g., my tagliatelle with cocoa didn't taste like cocoa, etc.)—perhaps this is also one of the reasons I haven't been back in a while. In any case, the restaurant is lovely for its atmosphere; the fact that they make their own pasta and bread, etc., is even nicer. They're very inclusive with the waiters, so it's a good place. Perhaps the size of the dishes could be improved to achieve a good value. For colder weather, just sit in the main dining room.
