Went on a Thursday they had some DJs on the set and the vibe was nice. Just had a steak slider it was good.

Go there for the 8-ounce sirloin. (Mine was spot-on medium rare.) It is a beautiful looking cut of meat, and just as flavorful as it looks. Was it chewy? Not too tender, not too tough... a good satisfying mouthful of chew. I think I really like their thin seasoned fries, too. Good meal at a really decent price... hard to find any more, but I think I've found it. Had to beg for silverware. The waitress was friendly, if vacant. Still, I liked the relaxed atmosphere. The place was nearly empty, though... so easy to relax.

This place is AMAZING. The music playlist was all my favs - Cure, Radiohead, New Order, Joy Division, Duran Duran, Echo & the Bunnymen, just an epic selection. And the food & drinks were superb, don't leave without having the mango marg & the Butcher's steak rare with truffle fries. This was our best meal & experience in Dallas! Much thanks to Adriana & Kirk for their unbelievable hospitality, giving us the highlight of our trip to TX!

Cheapsteaks is exactly what they say they are. Delicious steaks for cheap. Prices are great and the atmosphere with live music is a lot of fun. My friend and I had a great time here. The sirloin was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Fries were crispy and tasty. Don't miss this Dallas hotspot.

Cheapsteaks was a great addition to Deep Ellum. Moderately priced good food with live music. It reminds me of a place that would thrive pre pandemic. If I'm in the area I'll swing back in.

My brother and I decided to stop in here for some food after a play. He got a chopped steak sandwich, and I got a butcher steak and some drinks. The steak had amazing flavor and was tender enough that I barely had to chew it. The drinks were strong, which is how I like them, and the music was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here.

Pleased with the meal. Would have been a disappointment to order a steak at a place named steak and have it be cooked incorrectly. My favorite dish honestly was the Brussel sprouts, found myself chasing that elusive citrus bite again and again. Special shout out to Kristen, amazing service. Sparking personality and knowledge of the menu provided us with an amazing experience.

We were looking for a little fun and entertainment in the city, Friday night and a friend suggested this place for us. When I tell you the drinks, food, music and service went above my expectations. Although small the restaurant feels bigger than it is because of the band. Best Jazz band in town! I cant wait to go back!

But let me tell you something: the true star of Cheapskate isn’t on the drink menu—**it’s Sunny**. Oh. My. God. SUNNY. This bartender isn’t just pouring drinks—**they’re out here crafting experiences**, channeling some kind of mixology sorcery with a side of charisma that could light up the whole block. Sunny is equal parts therapist, hype-person, and cocktail wizard. They remembered my drink *after one visit* and had me laughing like we were old friends by the time I finished it. Seriously, if you go to Cheapskate and don’t sit at the bar with Sunny, **did you even go?** 10/10—grab a drink, tip well, and prepare to become a lifelong fan of Sunny. ---

It's unique approach to the art of grilling steaks and providing hospitality; has regular residents and influencers buzzing about the food and the atmosphere. Music is always great! I always ask for soda water. Most places charge for soda water but this place doesn't. So I appreciate that. The music here seems to be predominantly Latino. Crowd is great and friendly.

Had a great time at a concert here recently! Nice space and a lot of fun. The staff was very friendly and drinks were great.

The food here was amazing. I had the steak with a side of Mac n cheese and it was absolutely stunning. The steak was juicy and succulent while the Mac n cheese was adequately cheesy. A 10/10 meal that I WILL be trying again. Topped off with a great live band playing onstage.

They are tossed in an amazing sauce. They have a nice secluded patio in the back and offer a full bar. They also have an indoor and outdoor stage. This is a great place for a steak fix without breaking the bank! I will be visiting again!

Our service was not good and extremely slow and the crowd was nonexistent when I dined in. My steak was extremely tuff and I asked for medium well not well done. Our drinks were so strong and improperly mixed we couldn’t even enjoy them.

The place was empty when we were there and wondered why. The food was extremely average. My steaks be better at home. Plus they don't have a variety. I'm not sure on how they have a spot in deep Ellum.
