Another hidden no frills hidden gem. Doughnuts are way better than anything from Krispy Kreme and their original blend coffee is delicious - rich and SMOOTH. Self service on the coffee so don't go on there if you're looking to be spoiled and treated like the entitled brat that you are...
Love this Donut shop. I always have a great experience. First, I'm always greeted by an amazing staff. Second, the donuts are delicious. Because of the service, this is my #1 donut shop. Keep up the great work.
If you are coming to this place expecting Soy milk and Almond Milk, you must be dreaming, Starbucks is just up the road. If you want no nonsense Coffee and donuts. This is the place. The donuts and Coffee are Fresh and they are open 24 hours with Free wifi. Great place to study, never too packed.
If your going to have a donut go here it’s worth using your cheat day bucks, or just if you want a really great donut. They make them fresh and not greasy. You can also buy lotto scratchers good luck!
I have lived all across the U.S. - including San Francisco and New York - and these are the best donuts I've had. They are soft and fresh. Our favorites are blueberry and the butter bar.
Quick and easy. Smells good too. They accept credit cards for anything over $10. Anything under is $1 charge which is still better than having to go get cash out.
My favorite donut shop. When I come home to visit family, I have to come get a dozen. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Great donuts.
Fast friendly service. The coffee and pastries are always good. It is also one of the places that I've found that carry cronuts in Daly City. An awesome local spot.
Love the double-chocolate rounds here! Some doughnut shops skimp on the cocoa, where they taste more like yellow cake, but this shop makes 'em rich and chocolatey!
Love their FRESH, FRESH,FRESH donuts. GREAT variety. They always have a good supply, fresh coffee, refrigerated bottled milk. It is clean and easy to get to.
Hey, a donut shop open 24 hours with a huge selection and clean inside and outside space. The guy at the counter was friendly. Coffee and hot chocolate. Apparently they have sandwiches too although I did not get one when I stopped by at 2 AM late on a Friday night. No indoor seating or restroom available late at night. There was space outside to sit in the fresh air. Got an assortment of three different donuts, and also two chocolate croissants and a hot chocolate. Try the one with nuts before I left. Very tasty!
My brother from another mother knows that I love donuts and haven’t had a good one in a while now, so he took me to Royals and he was on the money when he said they are the best donuts! Their selection covered all the old school basics and we were there in the afternoon, not early in the morning when you find the best selection. My choices include a maple bar, a jelly donut, a glazed donut, a maple old fashioned, a glazed old fashioned, and more! My whole family agreed they were delicious! The next time I am trying a cinnamon roll and an Apple fritter as well!
Love donuts. Love donuts places that are open 24hrs. Got a dozen donut holes and an almond croissant. Both were good. I would definitely get donuts here again if I’m in the area.
Cool spot. Delicious donuts. Friendly staff
Wow! Was not expecting them to be so good. Had their chocolate glazed old fashioned raised donuts. They are large yeasty pillows of goodness. Only infraction is not enough of the chocolate glaze in proportion but I'll survive!

Little pricey but there open late night 4 you ,eclair maple was out of this world
Love this mom& pop donut shop It you’re looking for just the pastries and coffee- this is the simplest in & out shop You can also get lottery and scratchers- everyone is so nice!
The donuts are pretty good here. Also says it open 24 hrs on the front window.I got the chocolate old fashion and the French twist, i see quite a selection of donuts looks really yummy behind glass counter area. Coffee smells amazing here. Price is average for a local donut shop in the area. This shop is a local retailer so you can purchase lotto tickets and scratchers they have 2 vending machines so that's a good thing to know. I would recommend this place and definitely be back again.
Went for a midnight coffee run and met the nicest guy who happens to be the owner of this family owned restaurant. He made us try donuts and got to know us too. Coffee's not that bad. The donuts tasted deliciously homemade. I'll probably stop by another time, maybe sometime in the day to see what else they serve.
It's a very old donut shop, definitely needs some TLC. Now about the donuts and other pastries, definitely one of the top 5 donut places in the bay area.
Great donuts and at the convenience of 24 hours. The few times here the donuts taste fresh and are well made. You can customize and fill donuts as well, if you like filing. Good variety as well at any time of day. Been there during late nights, mid day and morning and the stock does change much.
best donut shop around, especially if you buy one right after they make it (yum! so warm and good in me!) one of the few 24 hour chill spots in the area too. staff is low key and cool, how I prefer it to be edit: in response to previous reviews, there is clear signage that you will be towed if you are not a patron at the shop, it specifies the restaurant next door. in response to another review, there is a bathroom that is open until 10pm, you have to ask for a key
Wonderful place, very kind staff, great fresh doughnuts! Went by at 1am and they were so kind and the doughnuts were just made!

Donuts at Royal Donut Bakery is good as I believe they make fresh ones every day. Except one day we were there, my daughter ordered 5 pcs of different kinds but we ended up having 4 only when we got home. For one thing they never provide receipt after paying for it, so no way to verify how much they charge you. And I hate that idea of not having you a copy of the receipt.
Donuts are fresh and soft, with old-fashioned ones nicely crispy outside and soft inside. There is a good selection of flavors, and the service is friendly. Prices are reasonable, especially on half-dozen and full-dozen boxes, but those prices are for regular donuts only. The cronuts are a fun treat, but pricier at $3.50 each.
The donuts here are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the original glazed or chocolate if you want a true donut experience. My favorite are the old fashioned donuts no matter what. The only downside is have to say is that they don't really have a price for the donuts listed unless I'm blind. The sign is tiny so I'm not sure. By the dozen if think I was getting a steal for just the originals but then I ended up paying almost $20. Not sure if the worker was messing with me or not.
Basic reliable box of office donuts. A bit more expensive than I would expect for this type of place. They aren't reinvesting the profits in store upkeep of the building or property. Use 4 wheel drive in the parking lot. Easy access from Mission on the edge of Daly City & Colma.
This donut place has been around for while..they also have some food, but i usually go for an expresso with some donuts that are always fresh.. It's opened 24hrs on Any day. Both the Lady n the Gentleman are very nice and good service! Oh yeah they also have a parking lot..
The donuts are good and they offer other items like cronuts, croissants, bear claws, etc. The service is great and you can buy Lotto tickets here as well. They even posted a sign that this shop had two lucky winners that won pretty big pots.
The place itself, could use some updates and cleaning. It is really sketchy looking. The redeeming factor were the donuts themselves. They were obviously very fresh, crispy and larger than the average krispy kreme donuts. I was impressed upon asking about their custard/creme filled selection and was told they could make ANY of them creme filled. I ordered a maple bar with custard and he cut the Doughnut and spooned fresh creme into the center. The prices were unexpectedly low for the quality and freshness.
Donut place that I walk by. Stopped by at different times of the day, and the donuts are always fresh. The place is open 24 hours a day, and they have their own parking lot; super handy since they are on a busy street.
I never had an issue at this donut shop either for their donuts or service but today was disappointing where I didn't have to buy donuts or coffee but the lotto ticket and I always stand near those tables at the door and I will be called next in line, they got 3 to 4 people buying coffee and donuts upfront, there was one couple ahead of me and another guy getting coffee and donuts, I see the "WAIT/LINE HERE" sticker on the floor so I moved to that area and the guy that was behind me got served first when I was next. Not going to make this a big deal especially early in the morning but you need a clear signage "LINE STARTS HERE"? it gets too confusing for you to keep track who's in line next when there are customers getting coffee and donuts and customers buying lotto tickets only?. Thanks

Very convenient that this place has it's own parking. We came at 6 pm and got informed they don't have our desired variety. Otherwise, those doughnuts that we've bought were tasty
A little old and needs a refresh. Donuts were decent/ok but not spectacular .
my favorite doughnut spot in the bay. but really frustrating to come in at 10:30 and have there be no doughnuts left. then get told that i gotta come back in the morning. it’s open 24 hours but they only thing you’re guaranteed to get 24 hours is coffee, cold beverages, or stale bagels. not doughnuts...
Pickings were slim, donuts a bit old, and pricey.
Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 2/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: Pretty standard fare. The extended review... Food: Old fashioned glazed - 3/5 - Pretty standard fare in comparison to most. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 2/5 - Definitely a little dilapidated on the inside but it's similar to most donut shops I've been to. Portion to Price: 3/5 - Standard pricing.
It's an acceptable donut shop. Donuts and pastries are classic and good. I haven't tried the sandwiches. There refrigerated case can be a little neglected. The last time I was there, it had a collection of least favorite drinks and sodas. No iced teas. Only fruit punch flavor for Snapple.

I have to give this spot credit for the classic Americana vibes. Coffee is quite good, however there is no almond milk or soy milk available. The donuts certainly qualify as donuts and are very fresh and cheap, however as someone who really respects a good donut, these are extremely unsatisfying balls of flour and sugar and the icing has no kick or flavor. If I want to give myself diabetes I at least want to enjoy the process, at a minimum. No bathroom available even for paying customers. The customer service is otherwise good.
I'm giving three stars for few reasons. 1) On my visit at about 6am the selection of donuts was pretty limited..not a chocolate or maple bar or just donut..no cinnamonrolls..so I went with old fashioned. 2) Donuts were not made that day. Im fat and eat donuts..I can taste the difference. 3) Last and most important. $1 charge to use yer card if not over $10..who buys $10 in donuts..what business pays a $1 to card company..there litterally making money just to use a card..stupid I've reviewed many a donut shop..this ones near the bottom overall
I’ve been coming here to grab donuts for work when I can. This certainly isn’t my first option as the donuts are not fresh and not cheap. Whenever I ask to get a few donuts from the back that are clearly visible from the counter I am told that the donuts on display are fresh as well. This is a lie, The donuts are on display sit there for hours until they get sold you can tell by the color, texture of the donut. Overall I think this place can do better in service, quality, and prices.

To bad yelp doesn't have an option for zero stars Royal donuts huh? Ha this place is a joke, no customer service. The donuts are old stale and poorly made! The guy behind the counter gives off smart remarks and attitude. He stays madd and miserable that he has to be there. The parking lot sucks it's gravel and bumpy. I won't return here the best mom and pop donut shop is located on bayshore go to happy donuts! There nice, sweet, and show desperate desire to serve you. I wouldn't recommend Royal donuts even if it was the last place to get donuts and your job or life depended on it.
Very unfriendly and rude customer service. We felt so uncomfortable choosing what donuts we wanted because the man was irritated and not talking. At the cash register, the lady was just as rude. We were the only ones in the shop, so it wasn’t like they were busy. We bought a dozen donuts for $30, way overpriced. The worst part about it all, is the 9 donuts were undercooked! There was gooey doe in almost every donut. Don’t waste your money here!
No more dine in. Bought some donuts yesterday and noticed when I got home one was missing. After many attempts to call they finally answered but when I tried to explain what happened they hung up on me. Been going here for over 3 decades but that’s it, it’s Krispy Kreme from now on.
Came here for fresh donuts like all the reviews say and instead I received a rock with a hole. Couldn't even chew it so decided to throw it away. Thankfully, of all places, there was a hibachi food truck next door that was 10000X better.
I’ll say very pricy for no reason Friendly cashier / looks cheap and dirty inside/ prices are crazy didn’t have a choice early morning I was saying it’s fine but once trying their donuts no good no good

A truly awful place to call a donut shop. They overcharge. You can’t sit down in the shop to even enjoy the donut. All the chairs are stacked to make the customer feel they have to just buy and leave. Awful atmosphere. Never coming back here again.
Workers/owner were incredibly unkind and aggressive. Our newborn was crying, so we briefly pulled into their empty lot to check on the baby. My husband stepped over to the taco truck next door to quickly grab food while I stayed in the car tending to our children. Within one minute of parking (no exaggeration), a woman who works there aggressively approached us and told us we were on private property. Our car was running and I never left the vehicle. I explained that we would be leaving in a few minutes and that if the lot began to fill up, we would leave immediately. She then began taking photos of our license plate and threatened to have us towed. (This seems to be something they do often based off of other reviews) Moments later, a man who I assume is the owner came speeding into the lot and aggressively charged toward us, also threatening to tow us and saying he would call the police, while taking additional photos of our car. This was an absurd level of hostility toward a family simply sitting in their car briefly to tend to their children. It’s especially disappointing because we had actually planned to come back and get donuts. The place looks very cute! In total, we were there for maybe 10 minutes. It’s hard to understand how anyone could react with such extreme aggression over something so minor. Truly miserable behavior
