We don't eat a lot of fast food, but Del Taco is usually a notch above other places and often ranks highly among fast food chains. This location was unfortunately a disaster. We ordered on the app, which should have been pretty straightforward, but at the window, they kept asking us to clarify the order, which was weird. Then when we got the order, the quantities of our items were all wrong. We had too many of them and too few of others. Also, the food was incredibly salty and just didn't have that fresh taste we expect from Del Taco. Since the overall quantity of food was the same as what we ordered, we didn't feel like having to go back and have them remake it, but it was just all around very disappointing and has ruined our cravings for Del Taco for a while.

I just drove into town from Arizona (6 hours) and stopped to eat a late lunch. I asked to use the restroom, and who I believe was the manager, refused to allow me to use it before I placed my order. I have dined here probably 100 times, and she has waited on me most of those times. She was nasty and argumentative. I have a home here in Dana Point and frequent the store very often. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I will never go into this establishment again with a person like this employed there.

I went there trying to get lunch but before I order my food I was really needed to use the bathroom so I went up ahead to the bathroom then found it looked and it needs a key came back asking for a key the staff was very rude and asking me to buy order something before I use the bathroom so I said I will I just need to use the bathroom for I couldn’t hold it anymore but they said no sorry. I left the place with out buying anything. Very unprofessional and it’s illegal for any business to prevent people for using the restroom in California.

Are the people that work here okay???? Del taco corp needs to visit this place and put some pep in every one of these employees steps. I am an avid Del taco orderer And this is the worst Del taco I’ve ever experienced. It can take half an hour to receive a few tacos and I am absolutely over it. Unfortunately, this is the only Del taco near me and I absolutely want to rip my hair out every time I order here.

If I could give a zero I would. My husband went to get lunch, tacos broken, food cold, shorted us an order of COLD fries. When my husband went back they were talking about him in Spanish or which he responded that he heard everything they were saying to him in perfect Spanish. Rude behavior gross food, I called and will continue to call until they answer. So far they let it ring forever and then hang up the phone to end the call. I WILL be speaking to the owner or corporate!!!!! Get rid of Del Taco in Dana Point and bring Jack in the box back. They clearly do not care at all how they treat LOCALS! I wish I could post photos of the food! Disgusting! Maybe someone should call the health department!

We were ordering on the app because the line was long. And then I needed to use the restroom and they wouldnt let me go because they thought i wasnt a customer. Even after I told em I was ordering on the app the cashier looked at me and did loud mmmmmmmmmm then asked the manager. I felt very uncomfortable since the line was long. And everyone turned to look at me. After we got our order i was waiting to order a last minute drink and the cashier was very rude, since the other employee told her shes been waiting to order. She looked at me confused since i already had my other order. I told her i need to order and she said fine come over here. Im wondering why is she being so loud just cus she didnt want to open the bathroom for me?

So sad! 🥺 I only pretty much go to Del Taco for fries now...They really are the Best if any fast food restaurant to me...BUT...Last visit I was jipped and the Macho fries was barely filled...so...since I decided to give them another chance, I LITERALLY TOLD THE GIRL PLEASE FILL THE FRIES UP...BUT DID SHE?....SEE PICTURE.....NOPE😒 And they are friggen $4 dollars now...price went up and amount went down...f that yo. Geezers. We Yave to REQUIRE QUALITY PEOPLE! THE ESTABLISHMENTS ARE TAKING WAY TOO MUCH ADVANTAGE...ps...I also asked for 4 red sauce and 8 ketchup...I got 6 red sauce and 5 ketchup...🤐

Horrible experience. I ordered the #1 combo and the 2 tacos are pathetic. The picture shows how poor the quantity of meat and cheese it had. This service is inexcusable.
