We order take-out pizza here almost every Friday night. The Pizza is the best “NY” style pizza you can get in the area. Anyone who says differently has never been to New York. I can’t speak to any of their other menu items. The pizza across the street is not comparable. The family that runs the place are nice enough, really just order and cordial greetings when ordering and paying. The atmosphere inside is definitely lackluster. I personally wouldn’t dine in. While i have seen 1 or 2 guests eating in, it doesn’t really look like they want people to sit down. It’s almost like they had dine-in pre-covid and left the dinning room as is and don’t object to people sitting but also don’t do anything to make it comfortable. From what’s visible of the kitchen areas, the food prep and service areas look clean and cared for. It’s really just the interior structure - walls, floors and ceilings haven’t been maintained. To a newcomer walking in you might think they are going out of business any day now. But I have been ordering pizza for a few years now and never fails on consistent quality and taste.

Best pizza around. If you're looking for an authentic cheese pizza look no further. Other pizza joints will take thin crust too far, or burn the crust. Blackhawk hits the mark every time. Worth the drive.

I have been frequenting this place for more than 25 years. It's the best! I especially enjoy the pizza and the spinach and ricotta calzone. The pizza has a very thin, crisp crust, fresh-tasting tomato sauce, and great-quality cheese- all in the right proportions. It's the best East Coast pizza on the West Coast!

Their deep dish is super tasty and I actually get cravings for it. I don't know if I've ever sctually had their regular crust, but the sicilian is yummy and kinda more like cheest bread and toppings than pizza.

Pizza was great... would've been 5 stars but they were out of tap beer which was reasonably priced. The bottled beer they stocked were all imports. All employees I encountered were great to deal with

Basic pizza with runny sauce. You can decide between Neopolitan or Sicilian. I chose Sicilian and he said they don't have it. How do they not have it? Maybe its frozen dough. Either way they should have everything on the menu especially if its a pizza choice. Not impressed.

Ordered 6× 16 inches pizza, I ordered it 1 hour ahead!then after 1 hour I arrived, guest what,? It's not even started, or should I say I have to wait another hour for the order to be make! What a bunch of unprofessional crew!

This person need to have good mood it’s really rude, the old guy it’s super rude horrible experience in this place, I will never ever come back to this place for pizza, it's horrible, you need to know this place don’t have dine in, also the pace small really bad need to be clean more….

I went to Blackhawk Pizzeria and politely asked if they could make a thick crust pizza instead of their usual thin crust. The older employee answered in a very rude tone, saying, “No, our pizza is thin crust only.” Then, instead of just responding, he pushed his hand toward me in a dismissive gesture, as if telling me to leave. I felt insulted and disrespected. It’s hard to believe a business can operate for so long while treating customers this way.

Probably the worst pizza I ever ate and I am not picky. I usually do not leave reviews but I had to for this one. They are not selling pizza just super thick bread with some cheese on top.

Worst Pizza in Danville, Horrendous customer service, cheap ingredients and over priced. I am surprised this garbage pizza joint has managed to stay open all these years. I guess the people of Danville have no palette for authentic Italian Pizza.

Entered the restaurant at 8pm and ordered a pizza. After ordering was told no dine in only takeout even though restaurant closes only at 9pm. Had I known wouldn’t have places the order. So had to take out and eat outside the nearby Starbucks. Also the two employees weren’t very friendly either. Pizza was average. Only reason we went here was the pizzeria across the street was crowded. Now we know why.

If I could give you 0 stars for your rude employee I would. I ordered a pizza, it was our dinner for the kids, and you not only sent the wrong pizza but also had no remorse about the problem, provided no apology and HANG UP on my husband because you were closing soon. Whoever owns this place should pay attention to the people they hire. If this was the owner, I guess you’ll see the rewards on your action later on reduced loyalty and bad worth of mouth. This was an unacceptable experience. We all make mistakes, but the least a civil person could do is apologize and offer alternatives.

First and last experience here. Came in to grab a quick couple pieces of pizza for my daughters before going to the movies and was told single pieces are only available at lunch. No apology, no suggestions just a quick walk away as he picked up the phone and conducted businesses as if wasn't there. Very impersonal unfriendly and surprising given the location. In the meantime one of employees that looked like could be one of the owners was scolding my daughters for "playing" with the cheese container on the table. needless to say I won't be coming back.

Called ahead of time to see if they were open. Someone picked up and said they were. Went only to find out they were closed. Doors locked and no hours posted. Seriously?
