I loved this place!!! It had very good authentic Mexican food. I had the 49er carne asada burrito, excellent⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ they're chips and salsa are also freshly made and very good. I definitely recommend this place to anyone..

Great food, great service. Food came quick, staff were very friendly, for $20 I got to try three different menu items + rice and beans, they were all great. You can fill up with $15 though! Decent value.

I love everything about this place! Nice people, nice service, nice carnitas and Carne Asado tacos, nice red and green sauce, and especially good chile rellenos. Went back weekly since my first review, and ate in today; August 3rd. It continues to be a pleasant experience. The lady there was so kind to my companion and caught up with me as I was about to leave without my "to-go" order! Another visit today, and another great experience. They are so wonderful with my young companion. I love that the Chili relleno does not appear to be battered and fried, and the spice level of the poblano chili is just perfect! Great food, great people, great service , great experience.

Never been nefore, but reviews have it highly rated, as they should! Very friendly staff, that clearly know how to serve and make glorious food. The only thing more fantastic than the layers of my Macho Burrito, was the layers of satisfaction! Kids got quesadillas with meat, and they RAVED about the red salsa that came with chips. They called the horchata "heaven drink" The restrooms seemed decent considering its a really really old building. Not that fake clean where it's like bleach on top of bathroom smell. Bathrooms only for patrons. I live in Vacaville and will certainly be driving back any chance I get. Wonderful experience, and you can tell they have a steady stream of repeat customers, no surprise 😀

Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint. Found this gem while visiting my kid at UC Davis and I was so glad I did. Ordered a burrito with carnitas and it was excellent. The carnitas were not greasy or fatty and the beans were super tasty. The Mexican rice was perfectly cooked with a nice tomato flavor to it. Just like mom used to make. Super friendly service and the establishment was clean and welcoming. A must try.

I've been coming here for 16 years and have never had a bad meal. The owners are amazing and so is the food.

Ordered a super burrito with double meat, it was amazing. Packed with chicken, it was so juicy the juice melted a hole in the bag lol. They were also very happy to serve me and had a good attitude. Would come again!

Taqueria is everything UC Davis isn’t: bold, satisfying, and actually worth your time. While Davis pretends to be a top-tier school, it’s really just a low-tier campus with inflated hype and students who think riding bikes counts as a personality. Meanwhile, Taqueria serves real food with real flavor — no pretense, no fluff. If you want value, spice, and something that doesn’t waste your time (unlike a UC Davis degree), this is the spot.

Food pretty good. Ordered super, and side of rice n beans. No utensils were provided. I wish they'd offer hot sauce. They were to deep in conversation to give me a second to even ask for hot sauce.

Ordered 3 tacos (2 pastor, 1 carne asada). The tacos were huge and delicious. The chips and salsa were $2-3. That alone is outrageous when Taqueria Guadalajara offers free chips and salsa. The chips were the epitome of mid; I'm sure these are purchased from target or Safeway. The salsa was nice, though.

Walked from the UCD Campus to try the supposedly best Mexican food in Davis, but I'll never know because they were closed 😩 Everything said they should be open: Google Maps, the signs they had posted on the glass, and the 'away' sign said they should have been back at 12:30 (I came on Saturday at 1:25 PM and stayed till 2, assuming they were on lunch). I guess I'll never know if it's the best because it's not a walk I'm going to do again anytime soon 🚶‍♀️🌮
