The food is very good especially the steak fajitas. The hatch is great this season. The service is good from the bartenders and servers. Julia aka Big Poppa has always been very attentive and responsive.

Quiet atmosphere; very easy to have a meeting inside as staff was conscientious to what was going on & made sure to provide space. Very friendly staff, too.

We love this Tex me. Place. Service is usually on the better side. Food is what we like and expect. Tortillas are homemade and delicious.

Food was great, server was attentive, only downside was that it was pretty warm inside so I was sweating by the time we left and it wasn't because of the salsa. Overall would definitely go again, probably when it's a bit cooler outside. A/C just wasn't keeping up.

The food is always solid quality, the staff is always friendly. it's a really nice place to hop in but at dinner time on the weekend sometimes it can be a bit of a wait. they have a great patio outside seating area, especially for families with small kids since there is a splash pad just beyond the gate. Nice to sit back have a margarita watch the kids get soaked.

We stopped by here for an early dinner over the weekend and were very pleased. Our server was great, and on it the whole time we were there. The food was good and the drinks were delicious. The kids' menu is great, and they get plenty of food. We will definitely be back.

Wow—just wow! My husband and I recently moved from Frisco, where we were big fans of Blue Goose. We just tried the Blue Goose here in Flower Mound, and it absolutely blew us away! The food was incredible, and David, our server, was fantastic. We’ve always loved the Frisco location, but I have to say—the Highland Village spot is every bit as good, if not better. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A fav for sure! The service was excellent, we were sat immediately, and our food came out fast and hot. We all ordered the lunch portion but got a lot of food, I loved it! I ordered the chicken enchiladas and yum!! So good. Also, if you’re a hot salsa fan… their hot salsa is killer. Super spicy with a smokey flavor.

Food and service was amazing! I would definitely come again! Our server, Veo, was phenomenal. He was very quick with our food and was super nice. The food was also great, we had the pound of chicken fajitas and it was enough to feed 4 people. The atmosphere was nice, it wasn’t too loud but also not too quiet. It was just loud enough to hear the people at your table and not have to yell over to them. Overall, I really enjoyed eating here and would definitely come again.

Blue Goose in the shops of Highland Village has great food, drinks and service are great! There is an awesome turfed in play area for kids that you can see from the patio if you sit outside.

I've been a few times, never disappointed! Food is always hot and delicious. My only wish is there was more of the typical tex-mex items on the menu. But that's just my opinion based on my tastes. There is plenty to choose from! The chips are thin, as they should be, and some of the best I've ever experienced. The salsa is very good and not too spicy so the littles should be able to enjoy it also. They have daily specials that should be considered when visiting. My favorite day to visit is Thursday when they have $3.00 queso and margaritas. Tortillas are no charge. Since I'm keeping them busy, I always tip my server extra well since I'm not ordering a full meal. I can't believe I forgot photos so watch for updates. 🙄😊

Came in at peak hour on a Friday night. Sat within 10 min with attentive waiter having our drinks at the table in just a few min. Appetizer of goose eggs.....you must try off the charts fantastic. Combo fajitas, what I really liked was they had plenty of bell peppers and some onions. Not just a blob of onions. Serving size were generous had to bring the rest home.

Great Mexican food restaurant. This is one of several locations. They have great chips & salsa & almost anything on the menu is excellent. They are pretty famous for there margaritas as well. We had a large party today & the waitress did a great job of ensuring that we were taken care of in a timely manner as well as very efficiently.

They ran out of goose eggs but Kyle took care of us. The Diablo is the best thing to order. Fresh made tortillas. Creamy queso. Chunky guacamole.

I have not been here in a long time. That will change. I had the best stuffed, grilled, blackened shrimp and sides. It was actually better than Pappadeuxs Seafood bacon wrapped shrimp. Fantastic food, great service, wonderful hibiscus margaritas & good salsa! Can’t go wrong! Only issue is finding a decent place to park. The pick two or three are my favorites. The pork tamales have a great flavor & well worth adding to your plate. I like mine with queso, though you will need to request it on the side. The dirty Bob is also good for a large appetite. My husband also requested queso in place of the ranchero sauce.

My server was Lena, the best waitress I've probably ever seen in my 60+ years. I'm visually impaired and i go to this restaurant all the time. There is a new GM and he is completely rude. The hostess didn't ask if i wanted a table or booth and just put me in a booth. Josey is very helpful and is always accommodating to me. She should be the GM. These 2 servers, chase and beto, they go above and beyond to help their customers. I've always had a great experience here, but with the new GM the quality has gone way down.

Host do need a little work we stood at entrance with 2 host just staring at us we had to say "hello 👋 yes table for two patio please"as if we were the hosts. looking cute won't do the job for them 🙄 it wasnt even busy it was 4 o clock , they need customer service training, anyways we op-ed for patio seating our waiter was nice and attentive, good food and drinks

Food is always great. (I particularly like the chicken enchiladas and the veggie fajitas) and we’re glad to see them back open after renovating. That said in the main dining area they removed these sort of booth surrounds and now it’s one big room with concrete floors and a metal ceiling and the decibel reading on a full Saturday night was averaging in the low seventies with frequent spikes in the 80s. For someone with some hearing issues it was pretty much impossible to carry a conversation or be confident the server heard my order. My suggestion is to sit out side of there is room if the weather is nice.

The food and service were great at this location. The adult drinks/alcohol, are on the weak side here though. Bourbon and coke was more coke and a splash of bourbon. I’ve never had an experience that I can remember here that was anything but good, nor an issue with the food, again, just the drinks. Whether it’s been dine in, or take out, it’s always been good. The only downside to this location is the volume of all the patrons and large hall like eating area that makes it very difficult to hear your party across the table from you. If you’re looking for a nice, cozy, quiet meal, this is not the place you’ll want to go. I go knowing or expecting this so I just take my loud friends to make up for it.

Can’t beat $3 queso and margaritas on Thursdays! Chicken enchiladas are decent —not the best around, but good. Nice patio area, although the kids running around last time I was here made it very noisy. Still a solid Tex-Mex joint!

Located in the Shops at Highland Village in Highland Village, TX, Blue Goose delivers decent Mexican fare at reasonable prices. Large bar area + indoor/outdoor patio dining available. All the expected dishes accounted for here along with some novel ones - the "Goose Eggs" appetizer was a nice and slightly spicy surprise - breaded jalapenos stuffed with a zesty mix of chicken and cheese. We had tacos and enchiladas, and both were entirely serviceable. Staff was friendly and food delivered fairly fast. A worthy choice if you're craving South of the border tastes!

I'm not really a TexMex fan...but the texas fam wanted it so our group of 12 went here after arriving and landing in DFW. Very loud and exciting atmosphere...with a different/smaller group this would have been ok but was hard to talk with our larger group. Excellent service from our waiter. Kept our chips and drink refilled promptly. We ordered a bunch of things and shared. Salsa was ok but not very flavorful and no heat. Asked for more spicy salsa and got one that when mixed with the other was good. Queso was ok... Fajitas bland...wish they had more seasoning and LIMES. Corn tortillas were good. Pork and steak was cooked well and ok but slightly lacked in the fajita flavor profile. Chicken was dry and severely lacked flavor. Fajitas veggies were good but could have got more grill time Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp! Did not like the black beans. Rice, Refried beans and Charro beans were great. Tamales were ok. I love eating at Blue Goose. Food is always good...my bill came to $13.00 I gave the waiter a $20.00 and the waiter wanted to know if I wanted change...that would have been a $7.00 tip....I am elderly and I usually tip well ...but not over 50%.....he brought back change.. A five and 2 one dollar bills, and I'm sure he intended for me to leave the $5.00 tip....what I left was 15%....he would have gotten more if he had not tried to manipulate how much tip to give. I probably won't be back!

I have no idea why they decided to only have 1 to go spot instead of 3…they need at least two herder there’s never any other close parking and they never have the spot available due to people basically parking in the to go spot to sit at the bar. Please add to go parking back.

I recently visited Blue Goose and have to say, the food and staff were wonderful. They’ve done some nice renovations, and the place looks modern and inviting. However, the noise level inside is honestly overwhelming. It was already loud before, but with the recent changes, it's even worse—I could barely hear myself think. If you’re sensitive to noise, be prepared to sit outside or bring earplugs. It’s a shame because the food and service are fantastic, but the noise really took away from the experience.

The service was great....our host became our waitress and didn't miss a beat. She was there on the drink refills and got our food out quick. The restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable though and everyone just wanted to leave. The food was decent but nothing stood out as special to that restaurant.

When we were seated, there was one other table and they had just been sat before us. It was mid afternoon, so we figured we wouldn't have a problem with waiting on food. Boy, were we wrong! Six other tables were sat after us, and four of those tables received their food before we did. There were only two of us, and we didn't order anything difficult to make. When we did receive our food, it was soggy and lukewarm as if it had been sitting for a while. Very disappointing. But what was even more disappointing was the waitress being totally oblivious to what was going on.

The food and service were wonderful. But the entire restaurant is an echo chamber. It was so loud my dining companions and I had to yell at each other to be heard across our small table. And it just kept getting louder. After 20 minutes, we couldn't stand the noise any more and got to-go boxes. We finished our meal outside on the benches where we could hear each other.

Dinner with friends. Small, Tex-Mex. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Game night so it was loud. Disappointing drink menu. Salsa was so-so. Queso was just okay. Typical dinner options. Tortilla soup was good. Toluca salad was large - very fresh. Good place to watch the game and have a beer or margarita- not the right place if looking to chat with friends. May give this another try when it’s not game night.

Above average Tex-Mex in somewhat posh shopping center. Reasonable prices. Get a flavored margarita as the regular house margaritas are not good. Very good service at lunch.

They have remodeled since the last time I was there. More airy/light atmosphere but the open concept is much noisier. Top shelf Queso is always good, and the dinner salad I ordered was big in the bowl (lots of lettuce), but I expected to get at least 6 to 8 Oz of chicken as it is an entree salad. Only got about 2-3 tablespoons. That needs to improve. Less of the other toppings and more chicken.

It has been a hot minute since I visited Blue Goose at the shops. They had done a large remodel and took out some walls. While it is bright and tastefully decorated there is absolutely no sound barriers in place. You had to shout to carry on a conversation with your table. Very loud and that is why the low rating on atmosphere. Chips and salsa were great. I tried a new food item.. street tacos. I had asked if they were spicy and the server said no. Unfortunately, they were very spicy and I was unable to finish them.

Great place. Always full. Our writer was awesome. Just the food was subpar. There's hits and misses. It has nothing to do with this particular location, I think it may be franchise food. There's also the fact that you have a small menu.....but on a good note, the margaritas are delicious.

Service is great and the tacos are good however the beans and rice taste like water now and they remodeled the inside into a fluorescent sterile nightmare… not sure if they sold the company or not but will probably take my business elsewhere.. sad

Best thing about our meal was the tortilla chips. Salsa was too tomatoey (not a real word) and had no spice/heat. Most of the servings were too salty which is a common complaint. Watch out - straws are handled by dirty hands so please avoid. Server was good though for the most part on a surprisingly busy Tuesday. We might try again.

Good location and a lovely ambiance. The best blue goose cantina for us is in grapevine, here the food was fresh and awesome. The salsa including their salsa Verde were flavorful. We ordered their tax al pastor , which was tasty as well as more than enough. The combo fajitas were nicely done, and the quantity was generous. Love this place except that the service at the grapevine location surpasses this by manifold. The warmth , the proactiveness and engagement is much better there. A 'may visit again' place.

May2024: 3⭐: I visited this restaurant today during the early afternoon. The outside parking areas were decent and there were handicap parking spots available in front of the restaurant. My spouse selected the location as a result of throwing a dart at a board to select the location. We settled on the location after looking it up online to determine what type of restaurant it was and the type of food served. We entered the restaurant front door and we were immediately greeted by the front desk hostess. We were seated outside in the plaza area. The server came over and took our drink orders. She returned soon after with chips and salsa. We gave her the order we selected. The food selections arrived quickly and were still hot when delivered to the table. The chicken enchiladas were pretty good, but the black beans were not good. The beef entree was lacking in taste. The entree contained a lot of onions, too many on top and inside for my taste. The entree contained mostly refried beans inside with about two ounces of low quality fatty beef pieces. I think this selection, Steak Dirty Bob is a failure.

It is so loud now after the refresh of the interior, we had to yell for the waiter to hear us. Couldn't carry on a conversation. It was our go to in Highland Village, no longer. My husband called the atmosphere punishing. We were inside and still were waving flies away constantly.

Had late lunch 1/7/2025. Jose was server. Good service. Very attentive. Ordered lunch nachos. Cold as a rock. Dried up cheese like it was made a week ago. No taste. Wife ordered lunch special with chicken enchilada and a tamale. She should not have eaten it. Went shopping and she got sick in the store. Stomach cramps and diarrhea. PICTURE THAT! This is the second time she has been sick after eating here.

I ordered online. The beef fajitas were extremely thick portions of underdone steak. They were not edible and certainly not cut into strips. They did not include any tortillas. This isn’t the first time the steak fajitas were gross and things were forgotten.

Tex-Mex is hands down my favorite food, and I visit restaurants around the area regularly. I have been to blue goose a couple of times for a margarita and chips and salsa which are both great, but haven’t had much of their food beyond that until today. Today my wife picked up a combo fajitas to go which was about $25. It came with 4 small strips of chicken and 4 strips of steak. All together the meat weighed out to maybe 4-6 ounces which is crazy for how much it costs, maybe it was because it was a to go order, idk. The real issue was that the steak was so chewy it was like eating steak flavored gum. Not only could I not bite through it, I couldn’t even chew it enough to break it up and swallow it. All of the steak ended up in my napkin after chewing it and giving up. The chicken was good and everything else tasted good, but the portion size for that price was incredibly small and the steak was the worst I have ever had. Please do better with the fajitas.

Visited this place with some friends yesterday. We ordered some drinks and our waitress made a mistake and brought something initially we didn’t order. She apologized and shared that she would get the correct frozen mango margaritas. She asked if we would like to keep the very small non-frozen drinks while we waited and we said sure. We never asked to keep them. A few minutes later, the manager brought out the correct drinks, and as she sat them down on the table, snapped up the drinks we didn’t order. No apologies, no nothing. We asked her if we could keep those like our waitress had indicated and her immediate and sharp response was “Do you want to pay for them?” So rather than making a situation a pleasant memory, she single handedly decided to make us never return as well as share with everyone we know about this experience. There’s no question she then marched into the nearest sink and dumped the drinks. We weren’t upset at all with our waitress, in fact, she did a great job. I felt bad for her because I had a suspicion she got chewed out for trying to make up for the mistake. This “manager” should not be managing anyone much less a restaurant that’s rarely ever busy and needs customers.

Had a good first experience at blue goose 3 weeks. But this time was different. I had gone to dinner with my husband and we were sat with Madelyn and the first interaction was great but due to money complications at the time we were not able to tip as much as we would have like fast forward to next time we came into blue goose we were sat with Madelyn again and she didn’t even acknowledge us first of all, secondly she was extremely rude to us the entire time. Before we left I had a Star of David necklace on my neck and based off of political events she started calling me extremely provocative slang words about me being Jewish. I will never eat here again and am considering suing blue goose for the religious remarks made by Madelyn. This is completely inexcusable behavior.

We have been going to Blue Goose for almost 20 years. No complaints till now. Food very average my wife's food was cold, they no longer offer chicken nachos, or brisket quesedillas. Not much to choose from. Dining room was practically empty. What the hell has happened? It it will be a long time before or never before we come back. Another empty table on a busy Saturday night!!

I used to love going here, haven’t been here in months and it’s gone downhill. I had at least 5 flies visit me and had a gnat dying in my cheese. The food was very underwhelming and no one I came with enjoyed it. Service had a horrible attitude.

They just cancelled my order for no reason at all… the restaurant doesn’t even close for another hour and a half! NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY CANCEL MY ORDER. This is the third time they cancel my order in less than 2 months. It is always the Highland Village one. No problems whatsoever when l order through Uber Eats from the Lewisville one!

I don’t normally write reviews, but my experience at this location was so disturbing I feel compelled to share it. I visited during their $3 margarita special and asked the server if I could have a sugar-free margarita instead. She assured me it was fine and made no mention of an upcharge. When the bill came, I was shocked to see I was charged full price. I calmly explained the misunderstanding to the manager, assuming this would be a simple fix. Instead, I was met with shocking disrespect. The manager was immediately defensive, condescending, and downright hostile. To my disbelief, he called the police—yes, the police—on me, “just in case” I refused to pay, even though I never once said I wouldn’t. I was nothing but polite during the entire interaction. I left feeling humiliated, angry, and honestly a bit shaken. All of this over a $3 drink discrepancy that stemmed from their own server's miscommunication. This is not how any customer should be treated. The manager’s behavior was appalling and completely out of line. Higher management must be made aware of how poorly this location is being run. It’s unacceptable. I will never step foot in this place again, and I strongly urge others to reconsider before supporting a business that treats its customers this way.

The food was great and the service staff were friendly and attentive. I honestly believe they deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, the entire experience was ruined by the management, specifically the manager David. His attitude was unprofessional, dismissive, and downright rude. He treated both staff and customers poorly, creating a really uncomfortable atmosphere. It’s a shame, because the kitchen and waitstaff are doing an excellent job, but as long as David is in charge, I won’t be coming back. Management makes all the difference, and in this case, it’s a dealbreaker.

I have been many Mexican restaurants across different states but probably this is the worst mexican food that I ever had ordered chicken fajitas selected refried beans but received charro beans and chicken is not cooked and there is no flavour added forget tortillas looked like we got week old tortillas and forget about hatch shrimp tacos I looked at menu clearly it says shrimp but I believe got some fish tacos I would never visit this place in my lifetime we planned on dine in initially glad we did not we might have wasted 2 hours of time with my 2 infant babies

Seriously over priced for really disappointing food. I wouldn’t mind the price if the food was decent but that’s not the case here. Quesadillas barely have cheese in them and they for some reason don’t have a cheese only option for their online menus. This was how much cheese was on my quesadilla after I took out whatever they filled it with.

Snuffers is delicious. The bacon fries are great. Too bad I missed happy hour waiting 25 min for a waiter I never saw at Blue Goose

Been multiple times. Food is OK. Drinks are small. Service is always slow. Parking is very scarce. Bad location. Go to other tex mex restaurants unless you enjoy disappointment.

We placed 2 to-go orders for pick up that were due out at the same time but waited over 40 minutes for the second order while the first one got cold and then we were told the “manager is too busy to talk to you”. If this doesn’t sound like an experience you want, then don’t order here.

Food was cold. Tortillas were not fresh and tasted like store bought tortillas on my brisket tacos. Chips arrived with meal. Service was not great. Wondering if they went under new ownership. Huge decline in quality and service from the way it used to be 5 years ago. Restaurant was empty at busy dinner time. That should have been our first clue.

We sat on the patio. Flies flies flies! They were everywhere. All in our food and drinks. How about installing some outdoors fans? Drinks were small and watered down. Couldn't really enjoy much since we were bothered by the insects. Won't be going back to this location.
