Ok so IHOP is always full if customers ,beautiful service why can't they Fix AC unit. It's Humid, Hot and employees are doing their best. Cooking and sweating. Cmon owner/manager get with it and check AC. Make it better for employees They Rock you have a great team!!

This is the 2nd time me and my family have been. Each time they were busy which tells you that people must really enjoy their food. Me and my husband ordered the fisherman's platter which was big enough that we shared it. Was a little disappointed that the batter on the fish was a tad over cooked (dark brown) but the inside was still moist and flaky. Either was it was delicious and we will be returning again.

The food was okay however, the server Sam was the sweetest and cutest. She made my 67 year old self feel like the prettiest and best woman alive 🥺. I will keep going to see her again! She was a darling doll❤️

My waiter was Alisha and she was phenomenal. Very friendly held great conversation and made our experience the best. I believe she works the evening shift so if you wanna awesome waiter, that’s the time I’d go. Our food was always hot and fresh with no long wait time.

This review is for Sharon because somebody needs to recognize this hard working woman! So for starters i am a deliver driver, but i always order take out all the time and everytime i show up its always this really nice woman named Sharon who always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face, she is always very quick to attend me and goes out of her way to make sure i got everything i need, whether its for me or for a delivery, i know for certain i can always count on her for the fastest and most friendly service at IHOP and to be completely honest possibly even the best customer service in this town. My IHOP experience in del Rio was very bittersweet there was a rude lady in the graveyard shift that was at the front supposed to be giving us a table and having someone serve us basically was so rude so unprofessional I don't know her name she has glasses curly frizzy hair hotel size girl or lady literally tells me and my four friends who were women and had worked a long night and couldn't wait to eat at IHOP but yeah it was greeted with we are not serving really because it's going to be a long wait 45 minutes minimum we are swamped basically saying there was no seats for us yet it was basically empty except to tables that had one crowd and another table of young teens and there was two other servers of men and obviously Cooks we said we could wait and she was so adamant on saying it was going to be a long way and then as we turned around a young nice gentleman that worked their name Daniel settle down waited on us and we were served within 20 minutes and less when she realized this she huffed and puffed around us obviously mad that we were seated and being taken care of I'd understand if they were understaffed and they had a lot to serve but they didn't this is IHOP is 24/7 this is at 4 in the morning I don't understand if she was tired had a long day but she literally was nice to the other table like nothing serving smilingnot only me but every single one in my party not just assumed but knew she obviously didn't like us being there I don't know if it was because I was gay or because she didn't like the girls that I was with but Daniel who served us and should be paid more be a manager I don't know of any sorts but definitely praised because it was immaculate service we were all happy took the big say goodbye and told him thank you for making our night cuz we really didn't want to go to Whataburger not that we wouldn't have mind that either so for that that is why I gave three stars for service n the atmosphere that this woman caused five stars 10 Stars if we had 10 stars to Daniel and the cooks we definitely will come back and we would definitely love to be served by anybody else but especially Daniel if he's there or are they able to please do something about that woman I'm sure you know who she is thank you and I'm only doing this more because to see my my girls my friends my aunt be very irritated and feel belittled is what brought this review out of me

Coming in from out of town and just wanting something to eat without the Hassel of fast food, I must admit it wasn't the best experience. The waitress was great. The food, however, wasn't what I expected. As soon as I walked in, I was attended by a pretty blonde girl with a great smile. Very friendly place. Food was on time, but looked as if it was rushed. It was around 9:30 on a Sunday at night with maybe 3 more tables. There was no reason for the food to look tossed and rushed. Food needs work, the waitress was friendly and great.

Place seemed clean, service was okay once I was seated. Had to wait for some reason, but the food came out quick. First set of pancakes were less than remarkable. 2nd 2 were much better. Eggs, and sausage were cooked perfectly. Overall a good experience.

The food was served hot. However, the overall experience was lacking. The tables are left uncleaned after customers leave and we received dirty utensils. Our server, Joshua, was very attentive and made sure our order was correct.

The poor table lady seemed like she was doing the work of everyone because she was running up and down and forgetting things. Not her fault, probably they were under staffed or people missing work on that freezing day we went. Management should have foretold.

Despite the wait. We were sitted around fifteen minutes or could've been less. The waitress was very nice and cordial. She had the biggest smile, even though it was hiding under her face mask. It was quite busy. But, we were eating our breakfast in less than twenty minutes. Thanks to the guy 😉 who was helping out the waitress. Most definitely I will return 👍👍👍👍

The best iced tea/lemonade in town hands down. Skillets offer a pink lemonade unsweet tea mix that just doesn't quite do it. To be honest most restaurants in this does not even offer sweet tea.

Had an early dinner at IHOP on Christmas Day after seeing a movie and was pleasantly surprised. The dining room was very clean and we were seated right away. Alfredo G was our server. He was polite and attentive. It took a little longer than usual for our food to arrive, but it was hot and our orders were correct. I had the shrimp and fries and husband had the chocolate pancakes. We were so grateful they were open on Christmas Day since it appeared everything else in Del Rio was closed. I didn’t give 5 stars because I would like to see some healthier vegetarian/vegan options on the menu.

We were seated promptly, due to not very many people dining in at the time. Waitress was very nice and took our order promptly, but waited 40 minutes to get a simple breakfast ! Strongly disappointed! Won't be going back any time soon .

No one will greet you at the door. Every time I have been there I have had to track someone down just to get a seat and that's after waiting about 10 minutes each time. Nobody bothers to check the front. I'm not the only one in my party that's had this issue. Multiple other people in my group throughout the week of our stay has had this issue. Yes, the food is good as to be expected from IHOP but the service is lousy at best.

Food was good but service was super slow. It was a little after 9pm when we went in and didn't get our food until closer to 10. The waitress forgot a couple of things and had to correct our receipt several times but she was nice over all.

Food was good & our server was nice, however this location has gone downhill. Everything needs to be cleaned, there were straw wrappers and other trash on the floor & cobwebs noticeable. I worked at that location for a summer under the original owners and it was managed completely differently, even when it was busy cleaning was a priority.

I like the large variety of food from breakfast to dinner options, prices aren't terrible either Edit: take out order 6/11 completely screwed up the order and wasn't ready when told it would be ready. Ordered a side salad with chicken sandwich and got...what looked like a chicken salad, forgot my lemonade.. very disappointed

They were pretty short on staff had to wait at least 10 min before we were acknowledged then waited quiet a lot for food after was sated. Then waited at least 15- 20 to pay. I asked the server what was going on and she said lots of call ins I think on this cases is best to let customers know before hand.

Waited over an hour to be seated after being told 30 minutes max. Seemed to be concerned more on getting the 'to go' orders ready and sent out rather than the customers waiting. Once seated the waitress did great and food okay but definitely more staff (especially chefs) needed. A lot of custom lost because of waiting too long.

Owner and manager need to take accountability or retrain your staff on how to serve and bring out food on time and not cold,it starts from the top,i should know I've been a GM on a restaurant for so long.

Super long wait when the restaurant is completely empty. Filthy tables and floor throughout the restaurant. There is always just 1 server and 1 cook working when regardless of the time of day so it takes forever to get food/service. It's not always the server's fault for being the only one working, thats mostly on the manager who should be blamed for this. There have been times as well where there are multiple servers there and they are all goofing off and hanging out at empty tables on their phones while you sit there for 20 minutes waiting for menus to even order

Poor customer service Our waitress never came to check on us to see if we need refills. We had to keep going up and asking if we needed anything. So disappointed!!! I ordered a chicken fried steak they overcooked it. It was hard couldn’t even eat it.

The last couple times I’ve tried to eat at an IHOP in several different cities I’ve had to wait extremely long times to get food. Not all were busy either, one had 4 tables. Now here in del Rio no exception. We’ve been sitting here an hour and the waitress just told us 20 more minutes for our food. I’m starting to think it’s just IHOP. Very dissapointed. I know it’s not the waitresses fault, but come on. This is just ridiculous. We ordered basic food, and didn’t change anything, so it’s not as if we had hard orders and there is only two of us. I feel bad for the waitstaff as I know this isn’t their fault and I won’t deduct from their tip, but I know other patrons will as the waiters always get the blame.

Server was sweaty, talked on top of our food and drinks I could see her saliva getting on our stuff, she forgot colors for my son, drinks were late and it took more than 45 min for our food + 30 min waiting for a table, restaurant was very dirty and restrooms were the nastiest ever I was about to throw up in there ! Food tasted bad too... not a place to go, the whole restaurant had an ugly smell ... server didn't offer refills! .... NOT GOOD

This place is a joke. Poor management=poor performance. 3 times they've run out fountain drinks,2 times our order has been brought to us incorrectly missing items. Curbside is a mess wait times longer than 20 minutes for an order placed ahead of time. Dont waste your time and money here.

First time we go out to eat since the pandemic started and it was a horrible service at ihop! The food was cold, pancakes were hard like a rock, the server came to the table twice and that was to give us napkins and the syrup but took him too long. He never refilled our drinks, and besides that he burned my mother with hot coffee which was the only thing that was hot because food was cold like I said before. We asked for hot sauce 3 times and last time we asked for it he gave us a face. He brought the bread toast when we were done eating and that was because we did not eat the food. I’ll never come to ihop! 😡😡

No music was playing in the restaurant. The silence made it very awkward so I asked for my meal to go. I was asked to order without getting a menu and had to charge a drink to my meal after the math because I wasn't given one. Paid in cash and didn't even get my coin change back. Very bad customer service. Will not return again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Food took an hour and a half to come out and to top it off still took another 30 mins to give me a meal they forgot to make! Ended up taking it to go. Hashbrowns not fully cooked and full of butter. Also got a French toast stick kids meal and they only gave us 3 slices of bananas and 3 pieces of strawberries full of sauce not even fresh strawberries like the picture! To top it off during that time our waitress never went to check on us not even once! Oh and the restrooms smell like sewer! Really bad experience!

The worst!! 2nd try in a month and both times the wait is at least 30 minutes. Lobby is full. Restaurant is empty. Today I stood with several others at the host stand to get on the list and was ignored while the servers walked around slowly Zane congregated in a corner near the server station. Finally a young woman brought a large to go order out and stopped to ask if I wanted to get on the list? I told her I had 1 persona and gave her my name? She asked if I wanted to wait, pouting at the list, with about 8 parties on it. Keep in mind the restaurant is empty. She said the wait was 30 minutes. She did not know how long the people sitting there had been waiting. This is the same answer I got the last one I went there, by the way. So, I asked why the tables are all empty and the servers are strong in the corner and we were ignored waiting to be put on the list. She said the kitchen is busy making to go orders and they can seat people after this. I said, so.. you are serving customers who are not here in favor of customers who are here waiting? That is terrible customer service. Is there a manager here? She said yes. I decided at that point it just was not worth it, as this is the way this IHOP operates in Del Rio, TX. It is unfortunate that there are not many places to eat here and you are forced to endure terrible service. I will not be back here again.

Me and my family came for a satisfying experience ang gad quite the opposite. Te drinks were watered down, some lady bumped into a guy cleaning a table resulting in a giant spill on the floor, and some lady with a bun and glasses took more than an hour and half to bring our food. It wasn't even packed! Overall a terrible expirence.

Food was OK.We saw the waitress a total of 3 times. Once when she took the drink order, brought the drinks back and took the food order then when she dropped the food off. I had to go out to the service doors looking for someone because there was no butter on my toast. There were no employees in The kitchen and no employees out where they do the dishes. I had shouted a couple times trying to get someone’s attention then knocked on the door. The manager was right behind me the whole time but i didn’t realize it until she turned towards me (didn’t even get up) and said kind of briskly “can i help you?”...I’m confused as to why she didn’t ask me what I needed when i had shouted a couple times before that. There was the one waitress working and 7 tables seated and more people waiting in the Lobby. Waited 15-20 min after we were done eating for the check which we didn’t even get. Never got any refills or another visit after the food was dropped off. It’s not the waitresses fault but it’s still not OK. Got up out of the booth and walked over to the register so we could get our bill and leave. The manager was at the computer at that point and i expressed my concerns to her and she didn’t even acknowledge that I had spoke and just told me my total. She’s clearly not experienced in customer service. Had she not been sitting in a booth the whole time she probably could have helped the waitress.

Arrived 10 mins early to grab a to go order watch a family come in an get seated.. the waiter asked how can i help and I said to go order i was dead to him “ok”. 10 mins go by before another waiter asks and say’s oh I see you here… thats it not we are running behind. 30 mins later see the family leaving when i originally arrived and still had not received my order. Terrible service left call manager to ask for refund. His words are I cannot you ordered online…. Sorry

Negative 5 stars! Waited to be seated over 15 minutes! People walked in after me and left. A male employee, who was not allowed to take me to a table. Told me, "It's going to be awhile." I replied, "ok, are you not allowed to take me to a table?" He said, "you can sit down." He meant, to sit down at the entrance waiting area. Me: I prefer to stand. Employee: Do you want to speak to a supervisor? Me: I don't. Why are you bringing up your supervisor. All of a sudden the employee starts acting like a bee is in his face. He spins around swatting at something only he sees. Walks away from me, and ends up laying himself on the floor. WoW not even five minutes later he got to go home. I'm still waiting. 3 women were also waiting, saw everything and walked out after watching that. I followed them out after waiting 30min. I will not be returning!

I don't have high expectations for anything or anyone in Del Rio, but service here is just pitiful. To just be flat out ignored for 15 minutes is absurd. Almost empty dining area and multiple people waiting to be seated in the lobby. There were 4 people just sitting and gossiping in the back. Tried to grab their attention and ask for help, but was just ignored. 1 guy was taking care of the few tables he had, but wouldn't acknowledge us either. Again, I don't expect spectacular service at an IHOP, especially in Del Rio, from servers who are likely underpaid, but still.. They could have at least seated us or told us we could sit wherever.

Went in we really were looking to having a great breakfast since very few customers will I was wrong bad service waited 40 before we decided to leave asked second server to check for us her look and comments were wrong its all supposed to be a team working together not I will check with your server and not check with him or our order didn't get her name but heavy set woman people just need to have better attitudes.

Went to ihop around 5am this morning. Had tried calling in an order to go but nobody answered. Got there and two employees vehicles were parked outside so I walked in because it’s open 24 hours. Nobody in sight. I waited for a few minutes, made some noise, finally announced myself. Walked to the kitchen and couldn’t find a single person. So I left. As I was pulling out, one female employee was just standing at a car. How do you not know a customer pulled up in a lonely parking lot at 5 am? On another note, I do get great service during the day.

Worse experience ever !! We asked to move tables since the area we were at was very cold and when we were moved we didn’t get a waiter . Everyone looked like they didn’t know what they were doing and the staff looked unbothered or walking around wasting time not helping. Some staff in the kitchen was dancing even with waiters , laughing and just talking and taking . I had to ask 3 different waiters for creamer or for a food update . 30 minutes later we asked for a manage THEN they were barely putting our food ready. Very upsetting that we lost all that time and did not eat and the staff was not attentive. We ended up leaving and all we got was a “I’m sorry “

I had previously refused to go to another IHOP after bad experiences near Houston. We thought Del Rio would be different since everything else is better in Del Rio. After waiting a time to be seated Hugo finally acknowledged us in a surprising manner( probably surprised someone would show up). Waited for 40 minutes for simple orders ( who fries biscuits for gravy?) Then my son had to wait for all his meal to be delivered. Shouldn't a pancake house be ready to serve pancakes and not delayed? I guess it is all IHOP that are bad and just not by location. It's a reputation.

Was here from more than an hour and had to call the manager to get my food I do understand is a holiday and maybe a new server. But literally 1:30 minutes for food is nonsense. I do not recommend this place.

It wouldn’t hurt to write the order down on the pad so you won’t forget what was actually ordered. And maybe take a cooking class to learn how to make an omelette not just scrambled eggs with grilled crab piled on top of it.

Bathrooms were smelly and not clean. Saw alot of staff in the kitchen area on their phones, and talking and not engaging with customers nor their tables. We waited a while before we even got our drinks. Bad customer service and food was not great.

Very disappointed. We had to wait for our food for over an hour. We were very nice, patient and polite through the process yet when we asked how much longer for our food they never came back. We decided to leave and pay for our drinks. When we asked for the check they said we still had to wait to get the ticket fixed from the manager who was also the only one cooking. We ended up tipping our waitress still because it wasn’t her fault and paid $12 for just our drinks. Ended up there for a total of an hour and 30 mins.

Worst IHOP experience we’ve had. Stopped here because IHOP never fails, but we were wrong. Took forever to get the food for our party of 4. Our son had to eat alone because his pancakes (it’s all he ordered came out last). The fryer was not working so we were limited to what we could order. The fountain drinks were out and only had Pepsi and sprite available because the Dr. pepper was flat. Servers need to have better hygiene habits; our server kept wiping his eye boogers off while tending to us. Overall first and last time we’ll visit this location.

Today went to IHOP server was good. The restaurant can’t handle lots of people. Took too long to get food, so food is cold. This was the first time I went in months. Not sure if going back. My wife didn’t even eat her meal, she was very disappointed.

At first seems like everything was going good although the restaurant had a bad smell like the never clean around , which as we are there we figured that was exactly the case, but anyway the waitress started doing her job just fine, then she forgot my wife had ask for just water with her coffee( no problem o well) then well although it took a bit for the food to arrived, from that time to the time food was served, 28 minutes later the waitress never came by to check on us , she finally showed up to bring the food, after that well I finish my coffee I wave at the waitress several times and ignored me completely as she was just talking to another lady customer , I even wave at her to see if I could have some syrup for my pancakes because there was none on the table, and she completely ignored us even until the end in which we finally just come up to pay and leave she see me and didn’t even care, truly horrible service, I really hate to say this as I love IHOP but that waitress made that restaurant look bad overall,, lastly I hope the really clean that dining area it’s super dirty.

Waited half an hour to get a table even though there was a lot of empty ones. Then when they finally sat us the AC wasn't working at that part of the restaurant. The waitress took another 15 to 20 minutes to get our drinks started. The service wasn't very good and the restrooms were terrible! They needed a lot of attention!! I never eat there anymore!! The only good thing was the food. I'll give them that but everything else no good!

Ordered a short stack to go. Went to pick it up 15 minutes later. Waited 30 minutes and no one acknowledged me. Finally a young man came asked if I needed help. Still no order received. Second person acknowledged me....still no order. I called to speak with a manager, I was left on hold for over 20 min with no contact with a supervisor or manager

Waiter was nice but kitchen staff messed up my food, and took 40 minutes to make a BLT. We we're the only customers in there, and it still took forever for my order. The rest of my family got food but we don't eat until everyone has their food, so after 25 minutes of waiting for the BLT all of our food was cold, even my "freshly made food". Worst experience I've had at IHOP and that's saying something cause I've never had a good one recently.
