Every restaurant has their own style of cuisine and variations within that cuisine. I take many things into consideration before giving a review. Customer Service, cleanliness, flavor, quality, quantity, visual appeal, cost and the list goes on. I placed my order online and the process was so fast and easy. When I arrived it was obvious I was not the only person who thought Chinese was a good idea. They were busy but immediately acknowledged my presence. I waiting maybe 30-45 seconds, received my food and was out the door. Empire Wok has clean fried foods, not greasy, no taste of other fried foods, crunchy and flavorful. The fried rice is fresh and cooked perfectly! Chicken was great quality and tasted delicious. Overall, I am happy with the meal I got and the price. I feel the quantity and pricing are on par with other restaurants.
The orange chicken is delicious the crab ragoons and rice were good didnt like the egg roll as much but over all great Chinese food would order again

Chinese takeaway on Christmas Day and it was a lifesaver. They were really busy, but the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Huge thanks to the staff for working so hard on a busy day — definitely recommend and will be ordering again!
Really glad to have Empire Wok so close to home here in Delmar. I'm in Glenmont but it's only 5 minutes away. The food is delicious and the service was very friendly to me and my girl. We ordered BBQ spare ribs with pork fried rice and chicken wings with pork fried rice (no veggies). Both were fresh, tasty, and hit the spot. I used to order Chinese food a lot in the Bronx, so it’s great to finally have a place nearby that’s just as good. Definitely recommend!
Best in area. I get exactly what I expect every time. They run a tight shop. Thank you and keep it up.
Our favorite local Chinese place! My favorite part is honestly that they have online ordering. And my family orders like 10 things each time and have never had a miss. The orders are always accurate. Food is good, prices average. Definitely will keep returning.
Love my delivery, it's quick and hot. This is my favorite take out delivery. I usually order the sesame chicken combo, and it's decently crispy, also love the general favored apps like fried wontons, dumplings, and crab rangoons. I've had several different dishes and all are as expected, I have never ever been disappointed!
Best Chinese food in the area! Prices are super reasonable, service is always reliable and they offer delivery! We usually get the general tso chicken and boneless spare ribs. Both have been consistently really yummy.

Food is not overpriced, the quality of food is pretty good. You can’t really go wrong with Chinese food, it’s kind of like pizza, you can’t go wrong with that either. Great vegetarian options and super yummy veggie Mei Fun. Customer service is also good, no complaints so far.
Love this place! Vegetarian menu is to die for... There are so many options and everything I've tasted is delicious! Clean place and food is ready quick too. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we aren't able to order the food we like online which is extremely inconvenient. Otherwise excellent!
This place is a legendary staple for local vegans, and I’ll get takeout from here at least twice a month. I’ve pretty thoroughly explored their expansive vegetarian menu over the years and I don’t think I’ve ever disliked anything. My favorite appetizers and entrees change every year, but my current go-to as of writing this is the chicken, beef, and pork in garlic sauce. The pork-fried rice is also ridiculously good. Their General Tso’s with the May Wah chicken is sometimes a much-needed break from the tofu that all other Chinese places limit us to. That all being said, a recurring issue with Empire Wok is the inconsistent answers when it comes to distinguishing the vegan from the vegetarian items. I’ve asked a dozen or so times over the last decade and it is almost always different. Same goes for most others I’ve talked to about it. This isn’t just frustrating for puritanical ethical vegans like me, but potentially dangerous for those with allergies. A while back, I had the one owner go through the meatless menu and cross out anything that contained egg—this included the lo mein and egg rolls, of course (these are basically never vegan, anywhere), but also the sweet and sour chicken that I spent years eating after this same man told me it was vegan. Past a certain point, and having asked the same question in multiple different ways, it can’t be blamed on a language barrier or a misinformed employee. The food is just too good, though, and you can’t find anything like it anywhere else in the 518, so I keep going and just stick to what I know.
Very polite and professional service at this location. The food is always very good. Fast and friendly service every time I have been here. There are good choices on the menu for you to pick from as well.

Crab rangoons are not the best Ive had, mostly cream cheese and very little else to them. over all I find the food to be just ok. I have never been inside so cant rate the atmosphere but they are quick to get your order ready. Never waited more than 20 minutes to get our pick up order.

This used to be my go to spot but the quality has gone way down. The rice has no flavor and is mushy, anytime I order wings and ask for extra crunchy I find them wet and just barely fried. Wish they did better. Miss eating their flavorful food.
Ordered twice in the last month and got the lunch special. Each time in the sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken there were at least two pieces of chicken that were over cooked and crispy to the point they were inedible. The rice and egg roll was fine but the quality of the chicken is lacking. Staff needs to pick out the burnt and overcooked pieces and not include them in meals. Not sure if I’ll be back.

how could you call these crab rangoons? There’s no filling in it what so ever! This is unbelievable! I’m basically just eating a chip! I don’t recommend getting the dumplings either! Very dough like! You wanna know why? Oh yea cause there’s no filling! Stop holding back on your customer for being cheap!

Its not chicken its just all breading and tiny peices of dark meat for 14 bucks for a meal give me at least some actual chicken please thank you
This would have been our second experience, as our first time was great. I walked in to place an order and one of the cooks sneezed directly on the food he was cooking and then proceeded to smile and throw more food in the wok without washing his hands, at the very least. Absolutely the grossest thing I have seen in any food place.
This used to be one of my favorite places to order Chinese food. I ordered the vegan chicken for my nephew, but it that wasn't vegan. We got that straighten out so I let that go. They were very nice about it. My next order a couple months later, of egg foo young, one chicken one pork was right out greasy w/ no meat in neither order and the worst egg rolls I've ever seen. They were nice and gave me my money back. In that same order I brought chicken wings that were excellent . So I went back with a friend for the wings and Crab Rangoon. Sorry I did that.. no crab in the Rangoons , chicken looked old and wasn't very good. My guess is th cooks must have changed. I'm so disappointed because the food is now a (1 ⭐)take out. I'll have to go back to cooking my own Chinese food. My last conversation with them, they asked me why am I complaining about the food. Wouldn't you if you're spending thirty to forty five dollars an order for food that looks and taste awful. Unhappy 😭 Customer friends and family won't be going there anymore.
We ordered broccoli with garlic sauce and the Buddha delight. The broccoli had little seasoning. The most prominent taste was the seared flavor likely from the wok. Buddha delight was disappointing. The tofu wasn’t seared or fried and had no flavor. The egg rolls were small and overcooked. Expensive and dissatisfying food.
