Fab little pub. Food, service, cleanliness (especially the loos) - don’t disappoint. Under new management = front of house ‘Chrissy’ is professional, genuinely welcoming. Been a patron for circa 7 years, now the Tavern is the ‘best ever’.

A fantastic pub with great quality tasty fresh food from chef Alan, including a Sunday roast. Good atmosphere & place to meet new people. We'll be back next time we're in Denia. Thanks Chrissy and Alan for your hospitality 👍

We booked for Sunday lunch, even though I have no interest in sport, my wife and I loved this place, better than expected, in fact, we enjoyed it so much we called in for a drink a couple of days later with friends and rebooked again for next Sunday. Chrissy the owner is a wealth of local knowledge as well as being very friendly. Turn left at the Indian Star restaurant on the walk into Denia from Les Rotes and it's a short walk up there. It's worth it 😎

Excellent Pub, Restaurant. When in Denia I visit twice or 3 times a week, frankly usually because "they have something on". The football, a Quiz night or such-like function. The afternoons tend to be quiet, and the evenings can be bizzy but good fun and friendly, always someone to chat to. Will be back next in December and for the new year and hopefully will not be bottom again in the quiz! Chrissy, the guv'ner, is extremely welcoming. GO N VISIT....

Lovely fish and proper chips mushy peas and tarta sauce. Very friendly staff. Two additional portions taken away for friends and they also loved it.

Absolutely worth a visit. Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, great proprietors very friendly. I have just eaton cod with mussels and hubby has eaton homemade cheeseburger which I had to try, absolutely gorgeous. Great find. Thanks guys x

I come a lot of times. And love to food you can taste that it is made with love.. english breakfast or lots of other things. And the pie i love it.. i defnetly recomend this place..

I’m the worst in the world for avoiding the British abroad (The English) but dropped on this place for a few beers and some grub! Home cooked, top notch 10 out of 10. Absolutely filled a gap in our day!

Thursday 12th July 2023 Just outside denia Railwat Station is this great bar It has a proper English feeling to it and the owners are great friendly people Got a well aired interior to it, and the Guiness was well priced and gorgeously tasteful in the mouth

This is an English run bar/restaurant. Really good food.at an affordable price. Chef Alan and his partner Chrissy will be pleased to welcome new clients. This place is easy to fjnd as it is next door to the Denia railway station.

Really nice, friendly pub with very good food and very cold beer served in chilled glasses. Excellent fresh cod fish & chips. Delicious chicken & beef burgers. The Sunday leg of lamb dinner with all the fixings was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend.

Denia's secret little gem. Just off the main street about 4 minutes walk, near the train station is The Railway Tavern. It's not very obvious where this bar is as it is hidden under a residential block on a street full of parked cars. But this is the place where you will find traditional English food like Fish and chips, steak pie, gammon and egg, Sunday roast, as well as tapas, sandwiches, homemade burger and wraps. I have been craving for traditional fish and chips for a while. In the past, I had to drive all the way to Javea or Moraira for them, but now, it's going to be a thing of the past. The bar is not big but there are both indoor and outdoor seating area. We ordered 3 fish and chips (€8.80 each), sparking water, beer and a non-alcoholic beer. The food didn't take long to arrived. The fish and chips come with a slice of lemon, mashy peas, tartar sauce, and a slice of bread and butter. The fish was delicious!!! The batter was crispy and not oily, and it tasted exactly how it should be. The fish was juicy and meaty. The chips are homemade chips, which means fresh potato and not frozen. There is room for improvement with the chips though. They were a little over-fried, also I think they've used the wrong type of potato (i.e. potato for boiling instead of potato for frying), hence they were not crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like they should be. Nevertheless, they were nice. The mashy peas were also good, and the tartar sauce goes perfectly with the fish. The lady who served us (presuming she's the owner) was really friendly and made us feel welcome. In conclusion, the food was great, the price is good, and the service was great. I am definitely looking forward to come here many more times in the future for fish and chips, as well as trying out other dishes. Highly recommended!!!

Just been for the Sunday dinner and it was honestly the most tender roast beef I've ever had, absolutely superb. Good portion size, real gravy and perfect veg. Can't recommend enough, a real gem and well worth a visit. Also great service with a smile! If you're going on a Sunday (the only food on Sunday is the roast) I would book a table as it is popular with ex pats and locals. Already booked a table for my next visit.

Just stopped over in Denia for one night and wanted to watch England play so ended up in The Railway Tavern after a quick search on Google. By chance it was quiz night although we missed the start. The pub was very busy, great atmosphere amongst the mainly expat punters who were all there for the quiz not the football. The landlady brought chips and onion rings out for everyone which was a nice touch. We hadn't intended to stay the whole night but we did. Great little pub if you want to be part of the local Brit community or are passing through like us. Food nice, lovely people, excellent quiz, sport on TV. Might have to retire here.

Spectacular fish n chips! Never had better!

We were looking for somewhere showing the six nations rugby and the pub looked promising. Simple surroundings but very impressed, a great atmosphere. Free snacks handed out. The landlady is amazing, super efficient serving dozens of customers without pause, no waiting, clearing glasses and all with a huge smile. Very reasonable prices too.

Nice to escape the Tapas and sunshine to cool down in a friendly British style pub (no, really!), watch some sport and have a chat.

I got to the door and a sign said “We’ll be back on Friday “. I hate it when businesses can’t be bothered to update their opening hours. I’ve enjoyed the pub in the past but it’s unlikely I’ll visit again.
