If you’re in the mood for classic steakhouse excellence in Denver, Denver Chop House delivers in spades. From start to finish, the experience feels timeless, refined, and thoroughly satisfying. The ambiance is warm and elegant — rich wood tones, leather seating, soft lighting — it evokes a sense of tradition done right. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or a night out, it feels elevated without feeling stuffy. The menu leans into what they do best: prime cuts of beef, expertly cooked and beautifully presented. Every steak (from filet to ribeye) arrives juicy, seasoned well, and cooked precisely to your preference. Alongside the steaks, sides and accompaniments hold their own — think creamy mashed potatoes, crisp vegetables, and indulgent sauces that enhance without overpowering. The appetizers (like oysters, shrimp cocktail, or carpaccio) set a high bar. Don’t skip dessert — the classics (cheesecake, crème brûlée, chocolate cake) are executed with confidence. Service here is attentive and professional. Your server is knowledgeable about cuts, cooking levels, and wine pairings, and makes the experience flow smoothly from drink to appetizer to entrée. Wine and cocktail options are strong — a well-curated list that complements the meat-forward menu. All in all, Denver Chop House offers an outstanding steakhouse experience in the heart of the city. If you love great beef, classic sides, and a polished yet comfortable atmosphere, this is a go-to spot I’ll happily recommend.

The Chop House in Denver was fantastic on a Saturday night! My steak was one of the best I have had in a very long time, and and cooked to perfection. The same was true for my wife's salmon dish. Charlie took care of us from start to finish, and is an incredible server. Our experience was absolutely exemplary.

The jalapeño corn bread you get is amazing. I had the lamb chops and they were phenomenal. Cooked perfect to medium! Our Server Marinko was very friendly and welcoming.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Always Exceptional! This was our 12th visit to Denver Chophouse & Brewery, and once again, it did not disappoint! My daughter and I make it a tradition to stop here every time we’re in downtown Denver—it’s our must-visit restaurant, no matter what. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a father-daughter dinner, and the service is always top-notch. This time, our server Amanda went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made our evening even more special. And the food… incredible as always. Perfectly cooked steaks, flavorful sides, and craft brews that never miss. You can tell this place puts care into every plate and every guest experience. Denver Chophouse continues to be a place where we make great memories. If you’re in town and looking for a consistently amazing meal with exceptional service, this is the place to go.

I have such amazing things to say about my experience here! Conner was amazing, he had a great personality, was knowledgeable on the menu and made our dinner experience so fun! Everyone’s food was amazing. The bar drinks were so good. I would eat here again and recommend here and Conner to anyone!

Stopped in on a Thursday for an early dinner at the bar. Great experience overall. Bartender was not too busy so service was great. Food was excellent - pictured is the side salad with green goddess dressing, skillet corn bread, ribeye, and mashed potatoes. Ordered medium steak and it was done correctly. Might have been nice if slightly thicker because some spots were more done than I'd prefer, but nothing to complain about. And the Ginger old-fashioned cocktail was a creative and delicious rendition on the classic. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Denver!

Just stopped by for a quick drink and check it out for future visits and was not disappointed. Really nice classic pub ambiance with a long bar and views of their brewery vats. Service was excellent and I wish I could have stayed longer but unfortunately no time on this visit. The cream ale was delicious but next time I’ll try a better mix .

Not from Denver and found this place while checking out Coors Field. With ni reservation they got us in immediately. Connor was absolutely amazing, gave great recommendations and had such a great personality and pleasant conversations. Such a cute place, atmosphere is great. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!

We had Connor as a server and the food and service were absolutely spectacular. I cannot speak highly enough on how welcomed we felt and great the service was and then the food just absolutely set us over the top. Wonderful recommendations and absolutely spectacular menu for drinks and food. 11/10 will be back every time im in denver.

A Fantastic Dining Experience at Chop House and Brewery If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience that balances quality food with great in-house brews, Chop House and Brewery is a must-visit. I started with the Seared Sashimi Tuna, which was grilled to perfection—tender, flavorful, and complemented by a fantastic salad that added the right amount of freshness to the dish. For the main course, I had the 12 oz Prime Rib, ordered medium-rare, and it was cooked exactly as it should be—juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavor. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were an excellent side, creamy and perfectly seasoned, adding an indulgent touch to the meal. To top it off, the brewery had three house beers that I thoroughly enjoyed, each offering a distinct and well-crafted profile that paired beautifully with the food. Overall, Chop House and Brewery delivers on all fronts—flavor, execution, and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place has such a nice classy feel but also down to earth. Love the ambiance and the selection of different entrees and apps. Everything I ordered was great. I want to give a shout out to Reggie B. His attention to detail, customer service and kindness was greatly appreciated. Having someone like they at an establishment is a reason to come back which I will!

Slow roasted prime rib was delicious! Meat was so tender and juicy, price is on the higher end but I think it's worth it. Service was awesome, staff were very friendly and attentive. Our server, Jacob, offered my friend a piece of cake for his birthday, no charge! Overall, the night was great!

Great place, great Jazz/music, excellent server and hosts, chef made our steak juicy and cooked just like we ordered it, our Salmon was well cooked as well with great presentation and the taste was different than everywhere else we have tried it, the two salads were very unique ,great taste and the portion was better than we have had on other great places like this. Cornbread was delicious.Definitely recommended. Keep it up Denver ChopHouse. When we come back to Colorado we will stop by again and again.

Walking into this restaurant was almost like a glimpse back in time, with a touch of old-fashioned photos and style. The lights are dimmed, and music is at a perfect volume. There's a wide variety of food and drinks to select from! Ordered a delicious calamari appetizer before I had a burger, and my boyfriend had steak. The employees are very kind and made sure we were being taken care of!

My family and I had an exceptional experience at this Chophouse & Brewery! The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to choose where we wanted to dine and even letting us stay later than expected. Their professionalism made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our visit. And the food was just wow, it was absolutely incredible. Every bite was perfect. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone and CAN NOT WAIT to return!

Had a pleasurable experience here randomly walked in off the street and we were welcomed with a smile. Had great banter with all the staff there. Some really lovely craft beers and excellent food there. If I’m ever back in Denver this will be top of my list.

We had early dinner reservations, which were recommended; the place gets busy. The look and feel of the building itself was unique. The service was extraordinary. Our server was friendly and funny, the highlight of our experience. We started with a few appetizers, which were ok, and cocktails. The barrel-aged Manhattan and Negroni were delicious. The entrees were terrific but on the expensive end. It was an overall pretty good experience.

D

Wow, wow, wow! This was an excellent choice! The Braised Short Rib, Ribeye and Charted Carrots, drinks and appetizer (Caprese and Risotto Tots were so delicious. Unbelievable. Our server, Chris, was great. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Very pleasant to have. My wife and I are visiting from out of town. We will definitely be back!

The very first thing that is great about ChopHouse is that there is a parking garage right across the street. While we did not make a reservation, my husband and I were seated right away. Most items on the menu were quite pricey, but the quality of the food was worth it! I ordered the prime rib sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts. The bread was a perfectly toasted baguette which was slathered in a perfectly balanced horseradish sauce, in which I could feel the heat of the horseradish light up my nose, but it was not overpowering. Instead, the sauce was complemented by a pile of moist prime rib. I loved the sandwich overall. The brussel sprouts were average. They were sauteed with pancetta, but I thought they could have used more fat. My partner ordered a burger, which was juicy and cooked to perfection. While I didn't try the burger myself, he raved about it. In addition to the food, the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the ambiance is a bit dark andthe decorations are, in some ways, gaudy.

Steak was well cooked. Reasonable price. Service was nice, they gave us a dessert for our anniversary. Great experience overall.

I wish I could remember our servers name but took my dad here for his birthday. They were so nice and really made it extra special, especially since he was so excited to come. Workers there are great, food and drinks were amazing and I think about that steak often! Def coming back!

One of our favorite restaurants to frequent before the Rockies games. Staff is friendly and professional. We enjoyed the jumbo lump crab cake for a starter. Delicious and comparable to the ones we eat in New Orleans. I had the Chicken Chop salad. Yummy. Enough for two! The Chophouse burger is juicy and perfectly cooked! Lastly, the tenderloin tips in the mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes were to die for!!! So good and highly recommend!!

One of our favorite steak houses in Denver. Great atmosphere and good food. Lunch time is the best for quick seating.

Denver Chophouse is amazing. My wife and I came here because it was close to the Rally Hotel which is where we were staying on Tuesday, September 20th Christian was our waiter and he was amazing. We had a 6:30 reservation which I was able to secure last minute and was kind of surprised considering there was a Rockies game at 6:30. We arrived early, and they were able to get us seated before 6:30. The food was amazing, and came out really fast. We ordered, Spinach Artichoke dip which we really liked, it was different cause no chips came with it. It was like Pita, celery, bread, and other things(We loved it just cause it’s different than the norm). I got the Prime Rib, and my wife got the chopped salad. The other thing that was awesome is the corn bread which comes in a skillet. Overall the experience was great and we cannot wait to be back.

Wow, they know steak! And beer. And cocktails, and dessert... So they know a lot of things! All delicious. Friendly staff, great environment! Booked a table of 10 for a work dinner, really great experience. I recommend the chefs choice! It will be different when you go... See what I did there?

First Class service, food, and drinks!!! A historic building with some traditional craft brewed beer. A lot of Denver history right here in this place. The service was excellent 5 Star indeed!! Nice relaxing atmosphere and right next to Coors Field!! Along with their own beer they a variety of other drinks. A great wine selection also!!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Came in on a Monday before the Rockies game. We were seated and waited on immediately. Our server, Eli, was a highly professional, yet fairly forthcoming server and was able to speak to the quality of the steaks, beers, and the whole list of wine. The food itself was 10/10. It's absolutely worth what you're paying for. The prime rib with the mashed potatoes was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We paired it beautifully with a glass of Rodney Strong Cab. I'll absolutely be coming back sometime!

Beautiful restaurant. Valet parking. The atmosphere was awesome!! The servers were super friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional, with really good flavors. From the mashed potatoes to the asparagus to the chicken. Tried 3 different drinks, and all were delicious...

We’ve been here a couple of times and very much enjoy it! I love the dark and cozy atmosphere- perfect for a nice group dinner or date night- but we also came with our baby once and staff were wonderful and so accommodating. I really love the food- great steaks and the complimentary cornbread is DELICIOUS!

Stopped in here to get a prime rib sandwich. The restaurant is really nice looking - The outside has that old school style that's really cool. The sandwich was amazing. The fries were really good, I was disappointed at first cuz it said it was seasoned fries and when I looked at them they look like normal fries but they somehow invisibly seasoned to them and they were really tasty. The sandwich was so good, the prime rib was delicious the bread was good, I'm honestly considering getting it again the next day. But the biggest thing is the staff was so nice. The front of house/possibly manager? guy was friendly, helpful, efficient without being rushed...we got take out and he still made quite the impression.

Great customer service. The steak was delicious but the prime rib was little dry but overall the food was good. The crème brûlée was delicious. Overall the place was good would recommend to only come here to special occasions as it is pricey for the quality of steak you are getting

Food was great, once we got it. The wait was long without alot of guests present. Out of 6 people at our table, 4 orders were incorrect. Once I got my rib eye it was cooked perfect and delicious. Will definitely come back

We decided to have lunch there at 1pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was relatively empty, so we were seated promptly. Pros: Our server (Peydon) was extremely helpful and offered suggestions that made our dishes tastier. I ordered the Filet Mignon w/ Gorgonzola preparation, which was cooked and tasted as expected. My wife had the bone-in ribeye, which was also cooked to perfection. We loved the design and ambience / coziness of the restaurant, which offered a window into the past. Cons: The side Caesar salad was a disappointment; as it was simply a small head of romaine lettuce on a small plate with ceasar dressing and cheese flakes sprinkled on top. The kids pepperoni pizza was surprisingly awful, so our server deducted it from our cheque. In the first 15-20mins, there was a smell of sewage, but soon the bad smell disappeared once the ventilation system kicked into high gear. Overall a good experience and tasty steaks.

Made reservations and went with a group of 7. Everyone got their order correct except me. But they were good about correcting it. They don't have a large menu, but what they have is delicious. Steaks are tender & juicy. French Onion Soup was delicious and everyone really liked the mashed potatoes. All their desserts contain alcohol, which isn't for me. There's an electrical box in the green-painted ceiling that has no cover, bare wires exposed.

T
Taylor

Food was great. Had the short rib, calamari, and caesar salad. Easy to eat. The bartenders were friendly to get drinks in everyone's hand while we waited on reservation. Enjoyed the atmosphere I guess, but the booths and tables are quite small. Only suitable for 4 people. There are hooks for coats on the end of the table, so thats a nice touch! Overall, if the waiter had not been literally rushing and ignoring us, it may have been a better experience. They are definitely busy as heck before games

K
Katie Koile

I will give credit where credit is due. Our server was great. He gave us lots of recommendations & was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, cool building. The French onion soup & jalapeño cornbread were tasty, but the steaks left much to be desired which is disappointing for a steakhouse. We ordered the NY strip & the filet mignon, both medium rare. They came out medium well and dry. The shaved Brussels were dry as well. As a chophouse, the standard for steaks should be higher, especially at those prices. I won’t be back, but I’m glad I gave it a try!

D
DUNVALLA BEASTEM

Great atmosphere and service, I gave three stars because there wasn’t much diversity on the menu. I had the citrus salmon and I added the roasted almonds. I looked online and saw the menu price was 48 dollars for the salmon but the price was 52 dollars when I was there so prepare for that. The menu post I initially saw at 48 dollars was 11 month ago. The pineapple juice I ordered was from a can and I wished they had fresh fruit juice options. I don’t drink liquor and there wasn’t any mocktails on the menu. Introducing a veggie burger option or any vegetarian options would be great … I definitely didn’t like the paper cover on the table. This could be a great place if the menu offered more options for people like me.

A
Amor Brown

The cornbread tasted good, not your typical cornbread, it tasted more like dessert. The crab cake was very ordinary and overpriced. The tips and mushroom with mashed potatoes were good but you can only eat so much of it because of how strong the flavor is. The pork chop with sweet chutney sauce was a bad combination. The sauce was too sweet and savory at the same time. The food came to the table cold, especially the gravy/sauce part of it. The pork meat itself was bland but had a tasty sear on the outside. The b-52 dessert was overwhelmingly sweet. The bread pudding was delicious but seemed like it's the same recipe as their cornbread. Their seating is very uncomfortable, wow I had never sat at a restaurant and feel that way.

T
Tiffany R

The atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful restaurant with a warm, historic feel. The service was good, but our server was not very friendly - which is not a deal breaker - just in the spirit of a detailed rescue, she came off as aloof. The food was good, but the prices are crazy. $14.00 for an order of fries for the kids and we had two kids with us - so, $28.00 for two orders of fries and they were not huge or anything special. Just fries. The artichoke dip was good, the burger was good, the French Onion Soup was amazing.

S
Shelina Millan

We went here for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was amazing. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were divine and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, my steak was undercooked when it first came out, and when it was returned, it came back highly overcooked and on the dry side. Overall, a mixed experience, but the service and sides really stood out.

C
Cherll Paxton

Ambience? Great! Food? Not so great. Lamb chops lacked flavor. Steak was ordered medium but came out well done. Took them about 20 minutes to replace the steak but by then the rest of the table had finished eating. $62 for those plates.. not worth it. The burger might have saved this review from getting a 1 star rating.

C
Ciara Coates

Came here with my family on our last day in Denver. We decided to have a nice steak dinner. Husband & I both got prime rib. Our kiddo got a steak off the kids menu. Meat was cooked fair, prime rib tasted cheap. Au Jus almost tasted like gravy & was salty. Maybe back home we have it too good & our expectations are higher. Definitely not a recommendation if you’re looking for a great steak in the area, maybe just passing through. Prices are fair. Food came out very quickly but it seemed as if our waiter wasn’t as attentive to us.

N
Nicholas Madison

This place has gone so downhill. I decided to try their lowest cut of steak, the top sirloin, and it was inedible. Took like 10+ bites to swallow. Also was cooked straight rare when I asked for medium rare. Lobster tail was so overdone too, and the asparagus was disgusting. This place used to be decent, but I’m never coming back after this. How do they sell a $45 steak that is filled with grizzly fat and is impossible to chew through? I’d have been fine with the rare steak, but it was impossible to eat. Avoid this place

J
Jennifer Rush

Had dinner at Chop House last Friday and was honestly pretty disappointed. We hadn’t been in a while with so many new steakhouse options around, but Chop House used to be one of our favorites, so we were excited to go back for that classic steakhouse feel. The bright spot of the night was the staff — everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice and had some personality, which many seem to lack these days, so is always appreciated. It was also surprisingly quiet for 8pm, but the Nuggets were playing and it was Joker’s first night back, so we didn’t read too much into it. From there, though, the experience went downhill. The calamari appetizer was good, but not anything memorable. I ordered one of their house specialty martinis and the first one came out pretty quickly, but when we ordered a refill when the appetizers arrived, it took way too long. We sat without drinks for about 20 minutes, and it only showed up once our server realized it had been missed — basically when I was almost finished with my salad and right before our entrées hit the table. By the time my filet arrived, the martini didn’t even fit the meal anymore — I’d planned to switch to a glass of red wine with the steak. The filet itself was the bigger issue: ordered medium rare, it came out closer to medium-well, slightly cold, and the texture was oddly dry. I didn’t really want to complain, but our server was right — for a $60+ steak, it should be cooked correctly. He insisted I ask for a replacement, but it took a long time to come out (hubby was done with his meal by the time it arrived), and even then while now cooked to the right temp, it still felt dry. I ate some and brought the rest home – my pup surely enjoyed it at least! My husband ordered the king crab at market price, fully expecting it to be expensive — but it was $110 for just two legs, and they were pretty small. To add to it, we were served the wrong side originally, had to wait on the replacement, and the jalapeño cornbread (usually one of my favorite parts, adorable in the little cast iron pan lol) was partially burnt around the edges. The middle was fine, but still a bummer. Nothing like I remember from previous visits. Our server seemed like he was trying, but he also had a large table (around 10-12 adults, with kids) nearby that clearly pulled most of his attention, so drink refills and timing just weren’t happening. This was supposed to be a celebratory night out, and we really didn’t feel taken care of. We’re not the type to nitpick dining experiences, and even my husband (who can be overly gracious sometimes lol) left unhappy. He even insisted I leave this online review which, again, is not typically his style. Maybe it was just an off night, but overall, this visit felt overpriced and underwhelming, not up to the standard I remember :(

Don’t recommend. I paid 20 bucks for no fries, just that amount of chicken. Didn’t realize they were gold encrusted or something I guess. Then 25 bucks for a plate of fries and 4 small pieces of fish for the fish n chips. Don’t expect perfection or the farm, just don’t expect to get chicken tenders and no fries. It’s laughable. The waitress also didn’t check on us except once. **There was a gentleman busing tables, refilling water, moping, wiping down tables and more to then just be handed dirty dishes while our waitress didn’t do much with a rather slow establishment. That middle aged man working on 6/17 at about 10:30pm. Deserves a raise.

We were long time customers until today. In fact, our wedding reception was held here in 2011. We’ve come back many times over the years to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, etc. with our family. A week ago, I booked a reservation for 10 people for my husband’s 50th birthday. I just got a call one week before the event telling us our reservation was cancelled because a company booked out the restaurant. When we responded that this seemed short notice, they responded with “a week is plenty of notice”. We will never go back (no need for you pittance offer of a $50 gift card, we easily would have spent $1k). We will find another restaurant to host his special dinner. You only turn 50 once but we will be sure to spread the word. Be very careful if you’re planning any special event there - you could be cancelled with short notice and treated horribly by staff.

M
Michael Hersman

You could literally buy a cheap air fryer, ribeye and seasoning from Walmart and make a better steak that costs you less. Also had the Risotto Tots, and realized this place just doesn’t like seasoning their food so that’s on me. Service wasn’t awful, they just had a hard time keeping up with my 1 refill, which is understandable because we were one of 4 tables in the whole restaurant. He was polite though.
