Food was absolutely amazing!! The Zengo Margarita was delicious as well. Definitely coming back soon :)
Five stars... Just know we didn't pay. Zengo was delicious, friendly, comfortable and unique. We ordered lots of small plates and sushi and they did not disappoint.
Brunch at Zengo was great, our waitress, Kat, was great. Even though they were busy she made sure not to rush us and gave us wonderful service. Great food and staff!
Awesome happy hour prices and delicious cocktails. Also has a really nice ambiance. It's a classy but inexpensive date spot or nice happy hour out with the gals.
This is great for mixing it up. Not a restaurant where everything on the menu is amazing. Try the colby beef that you cook on the hot rock. it's SO good. The atmosphere is great for date night.
Service was excellent. Waiter gave us tips on the better items on the menu and he was right on. We had a fabulous dinner! Highly recommend xo edamame
Awesome sushi! Could use another light or two at the sushi bar! Chef Robert and Jason make great sushi and are very knowledgeable on the menu and complimentary ingredients!
I am not a sushi fan, today feeling adventurous dare to try something beyond my dreams just because it look so good from the shusi bar! Turns out I am fan! Bravo Zengo way to surprise me
The food is wonderful. If you go during brunch the prices are really affordable. I love the mojitos here too.
Great place! I loved the tapas - could have just sat there and ate those all night long. I little bit pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.
Great food, though a little expensive for the proportion sizes. Best for groups to order a handful of small plates and share all the different flavors.
Really interesting food - very unusual flavors, always brilliantly prepared. And the best mojitos I've ever had. :)
OMG what a find. Went here on a whim and was very happy. The latin Asian fusion menu was totally out of this world yummy. Not to miss
Great happy hour specials on food and cocktails, wine, and sake. (We love the vegetarian and spicy tuna rolls). Attentive server and manager. We were seated without a wait on a Saturday night, which was refreshing after walking away from long waits at other places. Quiet and spacious enough for a private conversation.
This place is fantastic! The have a great fusion menu of Asian and Latin and it just works. Their brunch is fantastic with a huge selection of small plates and bottomless mimosas. If you want to eat here make sure you make a booking as it is very busy all the time. They are on Open Table.
I moved from Denver five months ago so when I came back to visit for my birthday I really wanted to get my favorite salmon belly roll at Zengo for brunch. When my boyfriend and I there we found out they had made changes to the menu and it no longer was being served for brunch. I asked my server and he went above and beyond to get me my favorite. He and the chef made my birthday brunch special! Strongly recommend!
Best brunch in Denver by far. I am obsessed with their creative menu items and even more so the mimosas!! Endless small plates and amazing service. This restaurant is the best date spot or the perfect place for brunch with the girls!! Love this spot. Will be back!! Get the short rib Benedict or maybe the curry! (Or maybe one of all of it)
One of the best brunch restaurants in Denver. It's Latin-Asian fusion small plates works just like peanut butter and jelly. For $39 it includes unlimited small plates & free flowing brunch cocktails, including a Build-Your-Own-Bloody-Mary-Bar. Make a reservation if you want a table in the patio. Servers are friendly and a la carte prices are reasonable.
I live walking distance from the restaurant so I'm probably a little biased, but this place is great. The menu is a unique fusion, the happy hour is a good deal, and the waitstaff is very nice. Try their brunch some time!
Well everything here was pretty incredible. Topped off delicious mimosas. Endless small plates of magic. I agree with others, maybe the best brunch in the city. Flexible friendly awesome waiters and waitresses. Keep. It. Up.
Usually a great experience with unique flavorful sharable latin-asian fusion foods. Also a great drink selection. Had one bad service experience, but because the manager rectified it so well, we will definitely be back again.
Amazing place. The staff was educated about the menu and excellent service. Cool decor. We had a 930 reservation, got seated closer to 9 in a window side half booth. We shared the mahi mahi ceveche and the test kitchen lamb, both great, the lamb shank was fall of the bone tender(like, literally ran a fork down the bone) and delicious. Everything was wonderful, it was a perfect night out.
Zengo was the best brunch of my life. Waiter CJ was awesome. Food was fantastic. Get waffles, empenadas, plantains and beet salad. Really it's all you can eat so try it all but fantastic and almost makes me wish I lived in Denver and could go again.
We had a fabulous first time at Zengo last night. We started with 4 selections from the premium tequila list, loved the Angry Zengo Sushi and TK Crabcakes, so fresh and not your typical breaded crabcakes. Then dinner was the Tagolog Skirt Steak and the Short Ribs. Everything was wonderful and the staff from the friendly hostess to the great and informative bartenders to the marvelous and hilarious waiter, Greg. We loved the inventive and well executed menu, so refreshingly unique. well done Zengo!
Parking is along the streets. The place is wide and open for gatherings. It's a great place for small plates of food and drinks. We had the mojito, spicy lobster roll, chipotle glazed black cod and U.S Prime Tenderloin. Everything was definitely delicious. Plan on ordering plenty of small plates if you want to be full :)
Very good food and unique blend of latin and asian foods. Can be kinda pricey, a lot of that is for the location and cool ambiance inside. The chipotle miso soup is delicious and one of my favorite soups ever. Great place for a date.
This is a really, really good restaurant but I had to take away a star because it seems like you always drop a ton of money when you go here. I don't know if it's because of the small plates, the drinks or overall prices. In the end I'll still go back but I'll prepare my wallet.
A good Denver staple. Love the fusion menu and food always has a beautiful presentation. Quality and consistent service, colorful ambiance.
The food was spectacular and the service was great, but the portions were way too small to justify the asking price. I would still return, but not if I was hungry.
Great food and great service! But one tip - the XO edamame saying "v" next to it, implying it's vegetarian... but it has meat AND shellfish in it! Be warned!
Great place for social gatherings or reunion with family. Takes a while to get full but the bottomless brunch is pretty tasty.
I would say one of the Top Restaurants in Denver Metro Area. Parking is very limited, I highly suggest planning on using the Valet Services.
Very flavorful food . Knowledgeable staff and they know the menu recommend the volcano sushi and a great dinning experience
Bottomless brunch is a decent value if you eat and drink a lot. Small plates mean you can try things and order more of what you like without additional cost. However, it's very hard to make special requests--food comes out as it's ready, and it must be somewhat chaotic for the waiters.
Always interesting and delicious food. The crab meat guac is enough for at least four. Though excellent I wouldn't recommend for fewer than four people at a table. Service is hit or miss but staff is generally friendly. Go here just for interesting fare.
Had the bottomless food brunch for $25pp. Arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday. Service was slow, but food was good and we loved getting to try almost everything on the menu, since the plates are small.
Zengo feels like a NYC restaurant set in Denver. the fusion of asian and spanish cuisine is very unique and delicious. The short ribs and Tuna Taco's were great. The pricing is very expensive so don't expect to spend less than $60-80 for 2 people.
its an OKAY place. the prices are a bit too high for the quality but I guess you are paying for the location. Ordered a bottle of red, they didn't have it in stock so they got me the same brand in white. For a place that they call fancy, stuff like that shouldn't happen.
Spent 180$ between two people, and only ordered 1 drink each, we still didn't leave full. Not looking for a $5 hotdog but after 180$ you should be not hungry leaving a restaurant, no?
NOTE: Closed and reopened as Wayward. I don't love the menu as there is nothing simple on it - but the place is pretty. From Zenga: Food is very tasty but we've come a few times and the service is not great. Both times our server was not notified that we were seated. The bottom of red wine bottle was poured into the glass. The check took too long to be dealt with. It's the combination of things that has us not want to keep coming back despite living in the neighborhood.
This place is essence of a modern fusion restaurant. As I was waiting on a table for a large birthday party, everyone working their was very tentative and friendly. The design and look gave you every impression of a modern chic style restaurant targeted to the young professional. The food was good, but the small portions didn't justify the price. Not that I am looking for value here, but If i'm gonna pay $30 plus for an entrée I would prefer to be full. What I did like very much is the thinly sliced beef cooked over a hot stone, that is a very creative idea that can really intrigue someone. But again, for 4oz of beef we are talking $40 plus dollars. I highly recommend this place for a date or definitely a drink (mojitos are awesome here). But, if your looking for a neighborhood restaurant to go to all the time, this might not be the place ... Unless you are comfortable the price.
Cool atmosphere but typical food choices and super overpriced drinks. Opted to go for a martini (because how do you go wrong with straight vodka) but I got a glass of olive juice with a splash of vodka with a $15 price tag. Probably won't be heading back here anytime soon.
Came here for brunch for 2 and the hosting and initial service was good. "Bottomless" food orders for our table came to one person first, with plates arriving to the other 30 minutes later after multiple inquiries. Salmon rice cakes had no salmon. Not what I would expect after paying $42 on brunch.
Very small portions for the price. Food was good, however, our server (Dani, I think) was awful. Ordered 2 appetizers. Received one with our meals and the other one was no where to be found. When we asked our waitress about it, she acted like we were bothering her. No apology, nothing. We had to ask for more water. She was awful and will be the reason we don't return. Oh by the way, she brought our second app when she brought our bill. Acted like she did us a favor. Awful.
Food was delicious but if you have an allergy they wont take it seriously. Our waiter asked if anyone was allergic to anything and I said nuts. He brought out some dish with nuts and didn't even tell me they were in it. The staff thought that they were being magnanimous by showing me that they have an epi-pen and are trained in how to use it, but it really can't get to that point. They catered to the vegan's every whim but for a person with a dangerous allergy they weren't really careful enough.
Zengo was much before they rebranded and had much better value. The ambiance is great now, but the sushi is the smallest I've ever seen. Definitely overpriced for what you get.
Most importantly, why was there multiple pieces of wood in the xo edamame? Waitress was horrible (I feel bad for saying this but...) she didn't seem like she liked being a waitress at all. My water was empty more than half of the time in their. It doesn't help that they have kid sized cups. XO edamame was good but I felt sick from all the salt in it and not sure how much wood we ended up ingesting. We found around 10 pieces. The pork dumpling ($8) came with 4 tiny round dumplings. The salmon poke was almost inedible due to the fact that it was incredibly sour and citrusy and burned my mouth with every bite. I am in no way sensitive to food. We ordered soups an appitizer but it didn't come. After our main dishes were served a spoon was brought. After we finished our main dishes we figured the soup wasn't coming so we asked for it to be canceled and was given a rude look from the waitress and a snoody ok. We won't return.
Went to Zengo restaurant last week in Denver and left my wallet on the table. When I went back the following day to collect it approximately 300 dollars in cash had been taken. Not what I expect from fine dining establishment such as this one. I contacted the manager (Kenny) who promised to get back to me (still hasnt called) so I will go out of my way to outline my disappointment in the lack of follow through I received after getting ripped off. I will not be going back!!
Overpriced, overrated and definitely for the twenty-something hipster crowd who are oblivious to GOOD service! Waited an hour at brunch to get served and they just seemed not to care! I called BS and my party stood up and left for higher ground! Gentrification at it's finest...(sarcasm).
I can't speak for the food, but horrible first impression. While we made the mistake of not trying for a reservation ahead of time, we were unable to get seated nor were we able offered to wait, even though it was a party of two. Hostess was pretty snotty about it and basically rushed us away. Parking is hard to find for those who need ADA access (which I was at the time) and added to the frustration of finding a new place to dine. I would have rather tried waiting, but clearly not an option for this establishment which is over-hyped and customer service under-valued.
