Had an amazing experience at Andiamo Riverfront. The food was absolutely delicious and the riverfront ambiance was beautiful — upscale yet comfortable. A special shoutout to Talesha, who was truly outstanding. She was attentive, warm, and made sure every detail was perfect. Service like hers makes the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
my experience was amazing my waiter (Mike) was amazing the food was amazing the views was amazing. Long story short I called to check my reservation and spoke with Crystal who corrected my reservation and assured me I would be seated for Valentine’s day since I booked a month prior. My wife and I entire experience was amazing from the drinks social status best drink and the Robert Langdon was great. We had another round of the social status and that was all she wrote. Appetizers was the pepperoni and calamari. My wife had salmon and I had a filet and both were amazing! For dessert we had the strawberry cheesecake and that was also amazing of course, I even had the pleasure to meet the owner Mike and he’s a great guy. 10 stars , thanks for making my wife and I first married valentine’s day special!
Jenn was absolutely fantastic! Very personable & sincere. She helped my daughter taste a few wines to pair well with her food. She brought a different drink for my son when he didn’t like his cherry coke. She brought a caesar salad in place of the house salad that my little girl ordered when she received it & was disappointed. She decorated a birthday plater with fudge & a desert for my birthday girl. She truly made us feel like family. I hope when you come you get Jenn as your server! The absolute best!
Despite us going on a very busy day(Valentines Eve) our server Mya went above and beyond to still provide as prompt service as she could. Mya was very attentive to our requests and is very personable. We would love to have her again in the future. In addition the food was delicious. All in all a good experience.
Reservations was easy to get! From the host ess that greeted me at the entrance to my server Hussien K was amazing! Hussien suggestions were good and though I didn't see what I wanted on the menu he knew immediately what I was talking about. I got the seafood Alfredo pasta it comes with lobster shrimp and scallops! Sooo gooood! The next time I come back in town I will definitely come back. My view from my seat was pretty and the atmosphere was calming just what I needed after a long day at work!
David was patient and gave great detail on the menu. The manager was very nice and compassionate. Loved the pink napkins and the house salad with the house dressing David suggested was so good!
We had a wonderful experience at Andiamo. The food was delicious, and the service was even better. Kayla was great; she gave excellent food suggestions and was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. Her recommendations made the meal even more enjoyable. They also offer halal options, which we truly appreciated. We will definitely be back!
Let's start by saying our server Sarah was an absolute delight made the evening so easy! We had the surf and turf and calamari starter and Cesar salads. Dirty Martinis for drinks! It would be hard to find one thing wrong with this entire dinner even if you were a professional! Second time we have been here 5 stars both times!
Loved this place! They have got great ambience and the food is delicious. We tried Chef Aldo’s Roman Style Rice Balls, Lamb Chops & Fettuccine Alfredo, and everything was worth trying. The service was extremely great too.

Our first visit to Andiamo was made amazing by Mike H. He was attentive, explained everything amazingly, and did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome. Nestled within the glass-lined expanse of the Renaissance Center’s Wintergarden, the restaurant commands a rare perspective. Detroit’s city lights shimmer across the river, with Windsor just a breath away. It is a setting that feels cinematic, the sort of view one leans into between courses, glass in hand. The meal began with Gamberetti di Andiamo, a composition of colossal shrimp, tender yet assertively seared, bathed in a lemon-tomato broth fragrant with white wine, garlic, and softened leeks. The toasted sourdough, given more than a passing thought, offered a rustic foil to the bright, aromatic sauce. A dish that plays to both northern restraint and southern exuberance in equal measure. Bread service, often overlooked elsewhere, here became something of a ceremony. Warm breads and crispy sticks accompanied by a vibrant olive oil infusion punched up with garlic, cracked pepper, and herbs just bruised enough to release their oils. It set a generous tone, one that carried forward throughout the meal. The house salad was a quiet triumph of simplicity. Crisp field greens, ribbons of carrot, cool garbanzo beans, cucumber, and tomato, all pulled together by a creamy garlic dressing that whispered rather than shouted. Pasta e Fagioli arrived humble in presentation but deeply rooted in flavor. White beans, sausage, and greens melding into a rustic, soul-warming broth. It is the sort of dish that could just as easily have come from a grandmother’s kitchen in Emilia-Romagna as from a polished kitchen in downtown Detroit. The centerpiece, a ten-ounce filet cooked precisely to medium, was as well-executed as any steakhouse might promise. Elevated here by its companions, tender scallops, a meaty portobello cap, fingerling potatoes roasted just to the edge of crisp, and asparagus kissed by heat until its bitterness mellowed into something sweet and green. Dessert was a restrained finish. A tart raspberry sorbet, bright and palate-cleansing, followed by a cappuccino of admirable structure. Dense crema, deeply roasted notes, and no trace of bitterness. The detail that sealed it was almost whispered into the experience. A delicate stick of rock candy offered as a stirrer. It was not just charming. It was considered. The sort of flourish that speaks not to trend, but to tradition and intention. Service, too, deserves its due. Mike H, my server, struck that delicate balance between discretion and attentiveness. His recommendations were unforced and well-considered, and his timing impeccable. Never rushed, never distant. Andiamo Riverfront is no stranger to high expectations, bearing the name and pedigree of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. But it is not merely riding on legacy. This is a restaurant that still believes in the ceremony of dining, an ethos built not just on what is on the plate, but how it is offered. Came here for Valentine’s Day, Frankee was our server and she was excellent. The food was outstanding and it made the holiday feel very special. 10/10 would come here again.
Spent my birthday here and was absolutely phenomenal! Service was great with food fresh and hot, along with fast service. 10/10 would recommend! Ask for Jenn as your server, she goes above and beyond!
We had a group of 12 of us that went in for dinner before a show at the Fox Theatre. It was fairly easy to get reservations of that size which was lovely. Andiamo’s is located inside the Renaissance center.The restaurant is beautifully decorated with the view of Canada across the river. It gives off elegant, high-end restaurant vibes. Frankee and Ahmed were our servers. They did a wonderful job with recommendations. I went in with one flavor in mind and ended up picking one of the specials instead, based on Frankee’s recommendation. Instead of Bolognese lasagna, I got a delicious lobster tail, scallops, shrimp with a side of the best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was cooked perfectly with delicious flavors and tenderness as you expect with seafood. I’ve been to a couple other locations and in my opinion, this one was the best so far. Every single person at our table was raving about their food and how nice the place was. Highly recommending this for groups, date, nights, and anything in between.

Andiamo did not disappoint! I celebrated my birthday here and everything from the ambiance to the flavors was on point. I sat outside on the patio overlooking the Detroit River and…whew. Beautiful views, great weather, and even better food. I can’t remember the exact names of the dishes, but just know that every plate hit! That pasta with the fresh crab and tomatoes? Chef's kiss. The other dish had sausage in a pesto sauce that was straight up good. And don’t even get me started on the birthday dessert. Simple, classy, and delicious! Service was kind and attentive, the food came out hot and flavorful, and the whole experience just felt special. Detroit has gems, and this is one of them. Thank you for making my 35th birthday special.

This is Quite a Gem in the Travels that I have found. It was a fine Thursday evening with jazz music in the background. It was quaint with all the nice furniture that shown excellence even in the wait staff Very professional top notch and very attentive like I was in a really nice steakhouse. I did sit at the bar and Julia (I think that’s what I remember) was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of and the Italian food was so delicious as I had the pepper chicken with angel hair pasta in a nice creme sauce. It came with soup. I had dessert to end my meal off with a mocha cheesecake to die for!
Our server was Talesha, and she provided us with amazing service. The food was great and we had an amazing view. Would eat there again.
Mike P was a great server. He was friendly and paid attention to detail and recommended the best drinks and food. It was my husband and I’s anniversary and he gave us space and only came over when it looked like we needed something. Also, the owner Mike Nowinski was friendly and took the time to visit each table, you can tell he loves what he’s doing. We’ll definitely be back!
Our meal was one of the best meals we have ever eaten out. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Frankie, was so friendly and we spent a little time chatting about Detroit and cooking. She is very personable and added to our enjoyment of the meal. Whenever we are back in Detroit, we will be coming to Andiamos!
Mike P was a great server! Thoughtful and patient. Went above and beyond what was expected. Split two dishes so we both could have some of each others meal. Lastly I asked for a candle for our anniversary and he came out with a large plate saying happy anniversary 🥹
Excellent place to have wonderful authentic cooking. The food, the atmosphere, and the service was wonderful! And honestly? The price of things were not too bad either. Take note the bill includes gratuity, which I don’t know if that’s always a smart idea. I tipped well above that but some people get offended and they don’t tip anything on top of that and I thought her gratuity was a little low. Sorry, every now and then you have to call out big corporate because they have ways of forcing things on people, and then getting burned by their own flame. That is not the fault of the staff who works there. Mya was a wonderful waitress! Very professional, her persona truly fits the ambience of the facility. She knew the menu, she knew the food items, she knew the drink items, and she presented herself very professional. She’s a wonderful spokes woman for Andiamos. And she didn’t just do it with words, she did it with service. A few other servers, I didn’t get their name, but they were very professional, they looked well, they were very polite, and they took to the needs of the customer. I didn’t get the name of the young lady that we talked to for about 10 minutes. She may have been in management, but again very professional, very nice to talk to, she told us a little bit about the surrounding areas to bring to light some things we didn’t know or other attractions in the area. If I make it back there before they demo that part of the building, I will make sure I spend my dollar there. And for those reading yes they are moving to a new location in downtown. I’m not sure where but Andiamos will be part of Detroit.🙂🙂🙂

I’ve been coming to Andiamo’s since I was a little girl, and it’s always held a special place in my heart. I was so sad when the Dearborn location closed, since I grew up in that area, but the Riverfront location has always been something special — and it still is today. We recently celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday here, and everything was incredible — the atmosphere, the band, the food, and the staff. Every big family celebration ends up at Andiamo’s, and I truly hope they continue their amazing legacy for years to come! Our waiter Jonah was top notch!

The ambiance, food, and service was superb. The pasta was fresh. The soup was served in a cute pot that resembled the soup pots I use at home. The waterfront view was beautiful. Our host, Jordan, helped us make great food and beverage selections. The owner, Mike, even stopped by our table and sincerely checked in on our experience.

What can I say about Brandon? He was attentive from the second I sat down, offering excellent wine recommendations and more. Even though it was Sweetest Day and the restaurant was completely full, I never had to wait for a thing. I watched in awe as he worked his section with incredible accuracy and a constant smile. It was clear he was doing an amazing job, as every customer around me was smiling, too. Brandon is the definition of white-glove service. He has set the bar high! I am absolutely coming back, and I will only sit in Brandon’s section. 🤌🏾
Very much enjoyed the appetizers and seafood, filet was slightly overcooked, but seasoned well. We had an issue with our reservation, but the staff was very accommodating. Drinks were kind of slow, but it was a holiday event. Certainly would return for a special event.
Had some amazing food with a great jazz band in the background to enjoy it. To top it off, our waitress Sallie was very attentive to our needs and informative about the menu. 5 stars!
Our casual walk on the riverfront turned into dinner at Andiamo! I haven't been here in close to a decade but the food and service from Jalen did not disappoint us at all. We will definitely be back!
Very enjoyable experience. Great service and delicious food. Everyone is very pleasant starting from the front desk. Scallops are so well cook and flavorful. Erica, our server, is very attentive and thoughtful, I had a wonderful time and definitely will be back.

Came here for an anniversary and was an all-around great experience. Our server Hussein did a great job and always made sure we were accomadated for anything we may have wanted or needed. The atmosphere wasn't to loud so conversation was easy. I had the chef special steak and my girlfriend had the gnocchi. Both were some of the best food we've had. Will be returning.
The atmosphere is dated, but it’s the Ren Cen! We had window seats overlooking the frozen waterfront which I’m sure would be beautiful on warmer days. Dinner was not rushed, service was excellent, and even the owner, Mike Nowinski, came by to check on us. Our Caesar salads were excellent along with my steak which was cooked to perfection. We had a pleasant evening with great food.
I went for my birthday for the first time and I must say it was amazing!! The view is amazing. The service and attentiveness of the staff was exceptional. Talesha was my waitress and she’s the best. She made me feel comfortable and helped me to navigate the menu letting me know what’s good and what isn’t. Frankee, the manager introduced herself to the table and was very pleasant. I’d recommend coming here anytime!
Branden is amazing! He had a super cool tie and dress shirt for Valentine’s Day and I loved it. He also provide some top tier service and was super helpful with the menu. 10/10 recommend Branden’s section if you hit this spot.
Oh my goodness, what a magnificent restaurant. The food is spectacular! And the service is equally as wonderful. Our server was Katie. She was very quick to approach us soon after we were seated, very attentive and extremely accommodating to our sort of special order. If you go, ask for Katie. The first thing she’ll ask is if you have any special requests, allergies or if you prefer a particular water. The manager, Rafique, is also wonderful. He’ll come by to say hello and make sure everyone is happy. My boyfriend had the Ribeye, I had the chicken. Both were excellent! This is a great choice in restaurants whether you live in Detroit or are just passing through.

I visited this Andiamo location for Valentine’s Day and had a pleasant experience overall. The setup in the lobby of the GM, overlooking the Detroit Riverwalk, was absolutely beautiful especially at sunset. The ambiance alone made the evening feel special. The service was smooth and well organized. Our server, Hussein, was attentive and professional. We did need to ask for a detailed explanation of the Valentine’s Day specials, but once we did, he was helpful in walking us through the options.One thing that caught us off guard was that there was a separate Valentine’s Day menu, which wasn’t clearly mentioned on the website beforehand. It would have been helpful to know that in advance.
Had an excellent experience at Andiamo in Detroit. The service truly stood out. Dave was incredibly patient, attentive, and consistently on top of everything throughout the meal. He made sure we were comfortable, checked in at just the right times, and handled everything with professionalism and a great attitude. It’s rare to get service this good. Dave absolutely made the night better. Highly recommend!
Definitely I’m very disappointed with this place. It was a friend birthday. He wanted to go to a nice restaurant and he was super excited about this one. Our server was passive aggressive and that was very annoying. That was not a good start. I’m a server myself and we all have bad days so we just tried to stay positive and give her a chance. We order some appetizers and they were delicious. The Birthday guy ordered a filet mignon medium and it was WAY overcooked. Server didn’t come to check after dropping the food to make sure everything was ok. After some time she came to the table and I told her that his filet was overlooked. He didn’t wanna to say anything but he was very disappointed and I wanted to let her know because a 50+ steak overcooked like that on a fine dining was unacceptable. And what she did after let us speechless! While Im talking to her about it she removed the plate from him without asking to put it “under the light” to show him it can look different under the light. Than she said “ you right, it looks overcooked” and return the plate to him. I had never seen someone doing that, especially take the plate from him without warning! She could have said something like: “Sometimes, it can look different under the light. Would you allow me to show you?” something like that. I don't know. She look irritated and walked away… came back saying she spoke with the manager and they can give us free desserts … we told her that we didn't want anything for free, we just wanted to let them know that it was unacceptable for a “fine dining” place. Manager came to the table… asked what happened. He said that sometimes you have to make it to the center of the steak to see the pink…Definitely not in a medium temp filet mignon!! We couldn't believe it! The server was very insistent with the desserts and we ended up taking them and the manager took 50% off from the filet price. The rest of the food was good. We paid and didn't see the server anymore. Another server gave us the validation for the parking. She was very nice. Overall I don't know if I would be back. We left there very disappointed and just sad because most of the food was good but the service was not that good at all.
My boyfriend and I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day (we booked for the day before) and were really looking forward to trying this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the start. First, the restaurant was very difficult to find, which was already frustrating. When we finally arrived, despite having a reservation, we weren’t seated inside the restaurant. They had tables (looked like a foldable table with a sheet on it) right outside the restaurant door. Meanwhile, other guests who didn’t appear to have reservations were taken in into the restaurant. That was confusing and honestly upsetting. When we brought the issue to the staff’s attention, there was no real effort to accommodate us or resolve the situation. We didn’t feel valued as customers at all. To make matters worse, even the parking garage next door didn’t return my correct change, which just added to an already frustrating evening. It’s sad because the food looked like it would have been really good, and we were genuinely excited to try it. However, based on this experience, we won’t be returning.
