Some of the best fried shrimp! They do advertise the size of the shrimp incorrectly. I don't complain and still go back and order them because they are freshly battered shrimp (not the nasty frozen pre battered shrimp) and that fried rice!!! I believe this place is over looked. The food is really good, me and my family have never been disappointed.

The place is really nice. Our server was really nice and had excellent memory, we were a group of 7 but paying in separate bills, she managed to bring everyones food to the right person who ordered it and everyone's bill was correct. The food is amazing. Very flavorful, and to top it off the micheladas are excellent. If it weren't because we stay pretty far from this restaurant, it would become my Go To seafood place.

Dickinson Seafood Restaurant hit all the seafood cravings my best friend and I had. We live 4 1/2 hours away and coming down to the coast, you just have to have some fresh seafood, just gotta. We struggled coming to this restaurant, because on the menu it also has Chinese food and didn't think this was a true seafood restaurant; however, we would of missed out if we decided to go elsewhere. The food was absolutely fresh and fried to order. The shrimp was succulent, the cat fish was pull apart tender, the stuffed crab fantastic, boudin balls freaking awesome, the fried crab strings delicious, EVERYTHING was fresh fresh fresh and cooked the way it should be. Most of all, 'T' , our waitress was super informative, freaking awesome personality, knows everything about the food, had great advice on what we should of ordered. She recommended everything, which we were skeptical of, but I kid you not there is a reason she recommends everything, because everything is fantastic. T thank you for great customer service, keep up the good work ma'am!

Very laid back and the waiter was very helpful and friendly! The food was great! We had the fried alligator (with suggested honey mustard) delicious! Boudin Balls, crawfish tails, fried fish, fried shrimp and the fried rice! No complaints here! Definitely going to be a regular spot! The price was great for the amount of food!

Probably one of the most underrated places I've ever been too. Yeah, it's a little on the "needs to be upgraded" side but overall you aren't going to beat their prices, very courteous staff (they took my order through fb messenger). Also, their fish and shrimp is amazing, their filet of fish is the whole freakin filet, not just the piece of either the top or bottom of it like most of the places in the area.

I hadn't been in a while but my friend recommended it and everything was excellent! First visit I had the fried shrimp and catfish the second time I tried the grilled salmon with a steamed vegetables and dirty rice. Excellent!! The waitress Emily was super sweet, kind, excellent service and always keep checking back to see if I needed a refill on the tea, or if I needed anything else. Perfect! Excellent prices especially the great lunch specials!

We were a little hesitant when first Seeing the restaurant as it’s in an old Burger King and a little run down, but clean. However, the quality, quantity, and cost of the food was amazing. Kids meals were $3.00-$4.00 and portions were huge, boiled shrimp were amazing, crab cakes & fried soft shell crab delicious, and everything cost us less than $50.00.

Good fried shrimp, spicy gumbo, and salmon. Would definitely eat here again.

This is a restaurant that bought an old shut down fast food restaurant (Burger King or McDonald’s). One of those family owned restaurants where you know the food is gonna hit. It has a lot of charms about it. There were 3 of us and we got 2 combos (fish and shrimp combo) and it was enough to fill all of us up. The taste was great and the fried rice was really good too. The server was very polite and she brought out all the sauces and things we needed.

Don’t judge it by the outside. The food here is amazing!!! I had grilled fish and shrimp and he had fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. Everything was sooo good! We’ve also catered from them before and it was so easy to do so. They were perfectly on time, all the food was still hot, and everyone enjoyed it. We had fried fish, fried shrimp, grilled fish, grilled shrimp, fries, and cole slaw. Best part is not only the food but the prices!

Good food at decent prices. The Mahi Mahi was delicious, the hush puppies were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, steamed veggies were cook to just the right texture, and the coleslaw was not overly sweet.

The restaurant looks nice. Took about 45 minutes to seat on a Sunday night. They were short handed that day. Took awhile for the food to arrive but tasted great otherwise. If you're having to wait, grab drinks at the bar and hang out on there patio and watch the view.

This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is very good. I had fried shrimp that was fresh and tasty, but I didn’t care for the fried rice I had with it. Next time I will have a baked potato or fries. My husband had grilled snapper and he didn’t find one bone in it. The piece he got was huge and it was enough for two meals. He said it was so good it didn’t need tartar sauce or anything else added to it. Prices are very reasonable and the servings are a good size. Service was very good with two waitresses to serve our group of 28. We plan a return in the near future.

exterior looks great from afar but once you drive up, you notice this is not your ordinary seafood place. Upon entering, i looks like they've just started their business from the tables & chairs, to the counter....something is just out of place. Then, you order and your food comes out in a timely fashion with a great smile by the wait staff. And, you're digging into your food because of the great smell. The interior is not much to look at but whomever is cooking in the back knows exactly what you want and how to deliver!!

They have good food. Prices are reasonable. There gumbo has a big F They need to learn not to put okra in it. As long it has it I will always give them the letter grade of an F. So they better learn real fast to fix it without it.

Found this place through a search, as we were not familiar with the area restaurants. If you are not from this area --- do not let the looks influence your decision of whether or not to stop here. Looks like a diner, inside and out. Pretty casual. The service was EXCELLENT! These folks were right on top of everything from the time we walked in. It was early for dinner ( around 4:30) but there were a good number of tables full already! We ordered steak and shrimp. The salad was refreshing and the blue cheese dressing very good. Shrimp were grilled just right, very tasty! The steaks were huge. Cooked medium rare, as we ordered and tasted great. Took food home! Highly recommend Dickinson Seafood Restaurant!

Looks are deceiving. This restaurant is located in an old fastfood restaurant and looks a bit iffy. Inside though, it is clean and the waitstaff was polite. They have a very good variety of food. I had grilled red snapper and shrimp, which was really good. The fried alligator and calamari was fresh and crispy (not greasy at all). I will be back the next time I'm down here!

The experience was great. Gary is the best server we've had in a long time. He was so polite and thoughtful. Food was delicious and priced right. Atmosphere was nice. Whenever I'm back in that area, I will drop by.

This is the most amazing food. I got the lunch special which includes 6 large fried shrimp, fries, and salad. I added a bowl of seafood gumbo (I added sausage), and substituted hush puppies instead of fries. The shrimp were perfectly crunchy, juicy, and golden. The gumbo comes with rice and crackers. All of this for less than $18. I will be back frequently.

The service was friendly and helpful, and the menu had plenty of seafood options. The decor was a bit dated, but the food was fresh, crispy, and served piping hot. Prices were very reasonable. Their fried calamari was excellent! I'd rate them 5 stars if it were not for the very small oysters. I ordered 6 and my guess is that I received 8 because they were so small (18 would be more comparable). Nonetheless, everything was cooked well, well seasoned and absolutely delicious. The place seems tired. It can use a bit of an update in its decor. As for the food, it was decent. Nothing about this place makes it stand out from other similar restaurants.

Place was kinda busy, had a birthday party gathering in front side. Food was good. Had to catch waitress for stuff. Didn't stay at table long enough to ask what we needed.

Great little place for a quick inexpensive seafood dinner. We had the combo number 3 fish, shimp and scallops. All of three had an excellent flavor. The side of slaw was one of the best tasting I have had, other than my mother's. My only constructive feedback would be to keep an eye on the floors and make sure they mopped more frequently.

I'm giving this place a ⭐⭐⭐ because the food was good. The service was TERRIBLE, I won't come back. We ordered an appetizer and it never came out. I had to ask about it and she said it was just taking too long. I cancelled it. The crawfish doesn't come with corn or potatoes it's sperate so we waited around 30min for them to come out. We were 2/3 of the way done. The waiter didn't apologize for the delays nor did we get refills. Horrible! I just wanted to leave, I got a beer and that all I got, one!

It was "okay" food. All fish was previously frozen, not fresh as well as the french fries. The Boudan Balls were dipped in a batter and deep fried, definitely not rolled in bread crumbs like everywhere else -- they were not that great at all. It's an okay place to get quick, fast-food style seafood. But, if you're expecting fresh seafood -- go elsewhere.

It's one of those places that I go to agaon and again. The food isn't bad, it just isn't much better than good either. In the mood for a giant plate of fried stuff? Go for it. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be blown away either. If this place was on the water and didn't look like a run down Denny's, it would probably do a lot better.

Food is good, service is SLOW. First time waited over 15 minutes in drive thru with 1 car ahead of me. Chalked it up to the lady ahead of me being handed 3 bags-even tho' I saw only 2 other cars in parking lot.Today, waited 22 minutes, no car ahead of me and only 4 cars total in parking lot. Was getting ready to pull around and go in to get my money back when she handed me my food. I understand it has to be fried, but almost 25 minutes, nope, not again.

Hubby and I went for dinner. For apps, I got the fried alligator and boudin balls. The alligator was this tiny bite size bits and pretty chewy, but very flavourful. They came with a not so great ranch on the side. The boudin balls were good size and nicely fried and also came with ranch. I got the hot boiled shrimp and crab legs. The seasoning was great. But there was a lot of 'juices' on the plate, making it very messy. They don't have bibs or wet wipes either. Hubby got a burger to go. I ordered a coffee that, while it was fresh, still tasted like garbage. The service was excellent. She was very pleasant and friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is pretty cheap and dirty looking tbh. You can tell they clean. It just needs an upgrade. Plenty of parking.

Good is good, strange policies. I ordered a lunch special and requested to substitute onion rings for French fries. I wad told it's $1.99 extra. French fries are $2.50, onion rings are $2.99. 50 cents difference but they want $1.99 to switch. I intended to pay extra, but not that much. Not coming back.

As someone visiting from out of town the snow crab on the menu was $17.99 with a baked potato. When I ordered they had no baked potatoes, and increased the price of the crabs to $19.99. Then when I got spicy it literally was so unoriginal seasoning, it tasted like crawfish and the snow crabs ended up being way over cooked.

For one it was hot here and its summer, you should be able to enjoy you food in a comfortable environment. Second the burgers had a frozen taste to it and pink in the middle. I dont mind a little rare but it was because it was not cooked all the way. It was a cozy place and plenty of room for big families or a little get together. The shrimp was awsome and the chicken. Maybe it was just a rough day because it was hot.

Today was my first time to try this restaurant. I ordered shrimp etoufee and fried jumbo shrimp. The wait in the drive through was substantial as the car in front of me had several issues. The etoufee was rather bland and the shrimp were few. The fried shrimp were very fried and pretty flat. I was so disappointed. I hate to give negative reviews but I'm also honest. I won't be a customer here again. That was 20.00 worth of blah.

We got a variety of items, however none of them tasted very good. The price was reasonable but there was not much flavor in the fried scallops, nor in the shrimp etouffee. The catfish was heavily crusted and thin. The fish was better in the past when some friends brought some over.

The service was wonderful, the food not so much. The sides seemed all frozen or out of a box for the mashed potatoes. The grilled salmon was overdone and greasy, but had great seasoning which made it okay. The fried food looked good, and the rest of my family enjoyed everything but the oysters. Great selection of gluten free foods.

I ordered online via Uber Eats, the food is very mediocre (rice not fresh and too salty), but the worst part is the fish was super rotten smelling. I guess you get what you pay for, the food is relatively cheap.

We stopped here on our way back North from Galveston. The restaurant is not very clean, a cockroach greeted me upon entering the dirty restroom. There are still Christmas decorations hanging up in July. As for the food, I don’t love seafood, so I ordered the club. Let’s just say there was one very small slice of turkey and a whole lot of lettuce and tomato. I could not even taste the turkey. Lesson learned, stick to the seafood options. My kids ordered the fish and chips. The fish pieces are huge and they really enjoyed their food. For the price, you get a decent amount fish. If the establishment was cleaner and other non-seafood items tasted better, I would have given it another star. So, I guess if you ask my kids, the fish and chips are a good menu choice.

Ordered 3 stuffed crabs & fried rice Crabs had no seafood in the stuffing, stuffing was gooey mess. Fried rice had no flavor either. Total waste of money... threw them away! Salad was lettuce with about 6 pieces shredded carrot.

This restaurant hires dishonest employees. I accidentally left my wallet on our table on January 29th. When I called the next day to ask if it was turned into the office, I got the runaround. Then my phone started blowing with fraud alerts. Someone there stole my wallet. Also, their crawfish is greasy. I don’t recommend this place.

Ordered a grilled shrimp "chef" salad. Not good. Not at all. Who puts huge slices of hamburger pickles on a salad? If you're looking for something like this, go to Santa Fe Seafood. They actually care what their serving their customers. I was very disappointed. This salad was sloppily put together and doesn't taste good at all. And I got dipping ranch as dressing. DIPPING RANCH and huge HAMBURGER PICKLES! I thought this place was going to be the same as Santa Fe Seafood but I was so so wrong. Won't be back.

I'm all for finding a mom and pops place to eat because they can be the best places sometimes but this one was terrible. The waitress was very nice and tried to make us feel welcomed. First of all the place was dead no one.was in there which should have been our first clue. But as the reviews say we didn't judge a book by its cover. We ordered a cheese burger and a fish plate. The soda was near flat, the burger yes it was big but it had a funny taste to it. Lettuce tomato and onion was on the side. The fish was ok didn't have much seasoning. The atmosphere was very dull and quiet. Table was leaning. I almost sent my food back and left but at this point I was so disappointed that i just said forget it and called it a day

My husband and I ate here last night for the first and it was terrible. We both had a three piece fish dinner with a fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was overcooked and was very rubbery and we weren't given plates. Our fish filets were extremely dry and tasteless.The fish was coated in a corn meal batter, (also tasteless) that was really thick. The plate came with French fries which were very dark and over done. Later, I had really bad stomach issues. Bad experience. We won't try again.

We went to the restaurant to order 4 lbs of craw-fish (to go) not spicy. They told us it will be 20 minutes. So after we paid our order we told them we are coming back. So we came back and got our order. It would have been a nice experience except for 2 issues. First, the old lady at the counter did not tell us that if you order 5 lbs we get 1 lb free. We ask the old lady in the beginning (in a friendly chat) how many pounds should we order for six people (she answered "it depends" which was like, duh we know it depends... this would have been the best time for her to tell us about the 5+1 deal. But no... she was very quite about 5+1 deal. We ordered 4 pounds, paid, and left to do other stuff . When we came back to pick up our order that's when we saw their sign about the 5+1 deal. But you have to look at the sign long enough to figure out that they have a 5+1 deal. It wasn't written in bold and for sure was meant for unsuspecting customers like us to miss it. Not a good experience. That really upset me because we could have ordered 5 and get 1 pound free and each of us could have eaten 1 pound each. It was too late to ask for the 5+1 deal because we are very hungry and have to bring the food to Galveston which was a 30 minute drive. Second, we we got to eat the Craw-fish it was very spicy and we explicitly ordered not spicy and specially the corn was really spicy. I'm not impressed with their service at all. In my book, they get an F.

Young lady that waited on us was very nice. That’s the only reason this place got a single star. Save your money and drive 10 more minutes for a better meal.

I think one star is generous. I normally don't write bad reviews, but the food was honestly terrible. We didn't even finish it. Chicken fried steak had a weird texture, fish and shrimp were soaked in oil, baked potato hard, boudin balls and hush puppies tasted like flour, gumbo was terrible and everything was bland with no flavor. Should have just went to Mcdonalds for dinner and saved $45.

The fish smelled horrible, they changed the plate for fried fish and when we got home it had blood on it and also smelled bad. It seems that they only have rotten fish. Please smell your dishes, they may be rotten. The worst fish we eat could make us sick Apart from the fact that the floor was sticky, the food was overcooked, we were heading to another seafood restaurant, but we thought we would stop by the closer one since we were returning from Galveston.

The first time we went here the food was great, especially the chicken gumbo, and grilled salmon. The second time I took my mom raving to her about how delicious this place was, an boy did I look like a fool. She loves fried fish extra crispy so she got that, her and I tried a little piece and it was super gummy an distasteful, didn't even eat it. The colder it got the gummier, and chewier it got. I had the chicken gumbo and it tasted like fish soup, very disappointing for me. Will not be darkening their door ever again, I'll just go to Baytown seafood to get better fish, an gumbo.
