Ayothaya Tropical Smoothie Cafe receives high praise for its smoothies, especially the Detox Island Green and Avocolada. Customers consistently highlight the friendly and efficient service, with Natalia and Fran specifically mentioned. Negative reviews focus on inconsistent food quality, rude staff, and issues with orders.
Tip: The Avocolada smoothie is excellent without added cane sugar for a healthier option. Be aware that some customers have reported inconsistent experiences with staff and food quality.
my go-to smoothie spot in the Dr. Phillips area. there’s only one size and it’s super filling. there’s a variety of fruity and sweet smoothies. my favorites are the Sunrise Sunset (strawberry, pineapple, mango, OJ), Bahama Mama (strawberry, pineapple, white chocolate, coconut), and the Peanut Butter Cup (peanut butter, banana, chocolate). everything is made to order, super fresh, and so good! the staff is also super friendly and the service is quick. there’s a restroom inside along with some seating.
I had an excellent experience here at this location, the staff was so friendly to my kids and they were all helpful in picking out what flavor they wanted. They made it very quickly and everything tastes amazing! It decorated to match their “theme” as well and it just brings the whole place together and looks really good.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is one of my favorite smoothie franchises. The smoothies really have the real fruits and ingredients it advertises and they utilize Turbinado instead of sugar to sweeten them, and it's awesome because Turbinado is Paleo approved. They also have Splenda if you don't want the calories, stay off Splenda, it is not good for you. This review is about the location at The Fountains on Bay Hill, but they are a franchise and do a great job at keeping consistency. Additionally, they have Vegan and Vegetarian options.
I try different Tropical Smoothie, but this one is the best location ever…! the detox Island Green smoothie! Also, Natalia is the best so sweet always welcoming 😊💕
Just came to pick up my food and the hospitality was beyond expectations. Food was so fresh and smoothie so chilled. Thank you , be back sooner than later !

Fran was so nice and friendly. Smoothie was delicious !!
I came this summer to Orlando from Rome ( Italy) where I live, and my sister Rosmarie took me to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I love this place !! The Green smoothie with ginger is excellent. It's good and nutritious. I recommend Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Besides, the attention is close and efficient.
Avocolada smoothie is excellent. I like it without the added cane sugar / it’s healthier and it still tastes great. Tried the breakfast wrap with egg, spinach, feta and pesto and it was terrific.
Felt bad for the person working there. The service was slow but it was good since the employee was all by herself.
Great coffee and location and find Daniel who has a wealth of product knowledge. He even helped me refine my own coffee making at home.

Please don’t ever disrespect sweet potatoes like this!! This is one of my fav foods and serving them burnt and made in a microwave is completely disrespectful!! This shouldn’t be served to anyone looking and tasting the way they did. The smoothie on the other hand was pretty good 👍
The food at this location was good, my wife enjoyed her smoothie and her flatbread, I was very disappointed that I was charged 25 cents for some jerk sauce, follow me on Instagram where I do full restaurant reviews docccwayne_reviews

Smoothies are great but staff not so much. I was served by the most stuck up teenage girl named Valerie V. It was my first time ever trying this place and i didnt know there was only one size, so when i asked for a large she scoffed and said they were all one size and gave me the rudest look and acted like i was completely incompetent. Definitely will not be coming back to this location, but the smoothies are very good

Very disappointing! I always look for a Tropical Smoothie Cafe everywhere I go because of this bowl. This was very upsetting! When I got home and opened it, it barely had strawberries or blueberries! It was full of honey and Shia seeds only!!! 😫 Usually, when I buy this bowl, it is full of strawberries and blueberries, to the point that it covers the granola part and shia seeds are spread all over the fruits, just like the pictures they have at their promos. This looks nothing like that picture! The bowl is full of granola only!
Today I had a totally unpleasant and disgusting experience. I found this in my yogurt a piece of nail
**Vegetarians and Vegans be warned** I had never had an issue with ordering their meat substitute in previous years, all of a sudden, when ordering at two separate locations, I received chicken and bacon in my meals instead of the meat substitute. I haven't eaten meat in 11 years, so even a bite is enough to make me sick. I was sent a $10 gift car- which was not accepted at this location despite the letter indicating it can be used at any TSC location- for my feedback regarding the first time it happened, but now that it's happened a second time, I don't think I can eat there with peace of mind anymore. I don't think it's just to have open my sandwich and scavenge through it to make sure it's the meat substitute I paid extra for, or actual meat.
Went last week and the employee completely ignored me. Contacted corporate and they offered a $10 gift card. Went in today and the gift card they sent is inactive. Poor business and Deceptive Business Practices. They should be shut down.
If I could give no stars right now I would. I normally go to this location all the time, however today I found a hair in my Caesar wrap and I immediately called and got no answer, I have called 18 times!!!!!!! And no one is picking up the phone. It sounds like it is connected to the Fax machine or something. I even called another location which the picked up the phone right way and told me they do not have a different number but the one that I have been calling for the past 40 minutes. Someone needs to contact me ASAP!! Before I wasn’t upset about the hair, I was just wanting to call to inform them, you know maybe they need to change their hair net or even put one on. Stuff happens. But for me not being able to get in touch with someone at this location I am beyond livid.
I ordered veg humus and I got chicken. I called themt to fix as I understand that mistakes do happen I am surprised when they asked me to post à complaint on google rather than fixing issue.

⭐ 0/5 Absolutely horrible experience at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe on West Sand Lake Rd in Orlando. The woman training employees was incredibly rude and condescending — not just to the staff but to customers as well. If she’s a manager, she needs serious training on how to treat people. Instead of offering help or patience, she was dismissive and had a terrible attitude the entire time. It’s disappointing to see someone like that setting the example for new employees. Definitely won’t be coming back to this location.
I’m leaving this review knowing that management or corporate won’t do anything about it, but there it goes… first of all it’s my 3rd time coming and all 3 was same bad, the staff working here looks dirty and not happy to be working in this store, their attitude and lack of kindness to treat the client is unbelievable. They ignore u and it’s the client who must look for them and call their attention in order to get serve. This last time I went (last &final bc I won’t be lazy & instead do my smoothie @ home 💃) I ordered Sunrise Sunset and instead of orange juice OJ she used WATER, she didn’t care I was looking and asked why she wasn’t adding OJ instead of water… SHE JUST DISMISSED ME, she ignored me like “I don’t care” kind of thing..& I was like “this is the last time”; fruits are WATERED DOWN.. it’s so disappointing that u can’t find good employees, i got that, but maybe corporates on owners could pay a little better? & it would be worth to keep a business open instead or closing it down and claim bankruptcy? I also think they get upset bc we don’t tip, but I bet if you as an employee treat/ knowledge your client with more respect, kindness and proper attention eventually some will tip and or keep loyal to your business making it a nice place to always comeback. From the moment u get in to the moment u get out is like 🤷♀️..
Do NOT come here if you are on a lunch break. I placed an online order at 12:05pm. It was supposed to be ready at 12:15pm. I received my bowl after 12:30pm. The whole purpose of making an online order is for it to be ready upon arrival. I asked the cashier about it and was told “they are making it now”. She was very dismissive. The excuse was that they had a “big order” before me. I am upset by the lack of communication and poor efficiency at this location. I will not be back. The ONLY positive experience I had was with the young black girl making the smoothies. She was apologetic and very kind. The other employee allowed my bowl to sit on the counter for several minutes after it was ready.
I am local, Every time I come here. They are out of plant based chicken. I am vegetarian, and that's what I usually order. This location is not following the franchise recipes for sure.
