They have almost everything that you dream of, I couldn’t resist and I bought tons of yummy food from my country, thank you Chaparral!

Wow, pretty good experience. They have lots of latinoamerican products, I had the privilege to be able buy some things and have a taste of the snacks that are eaten in other countries. Definitely will be back when I am in town. Had a blast looking a brands that are unknown to me.

I am able to find all my peruvian products here and its sooo cool. I love how all the items are just labeled with a little flag to show where the product is from. I definitely like this place and go here all the time. They have products from all different latin countries and I can refill on all my basic needs. What I thought was super cool is the fact that they have all my beer selections! I loved that!!!

It's easy to get lost in this store if you're not bilingual for espanol, but they've always been friendly to me and their produce selection is impressive.

Well organized store very close to downtown. However the shop is not too big and hence the selection for fresh groceries is slightly limited.

This store has been around for many years and I have heard amazing reviews from my Salvadoran and Nicaraguan friends. We were told they sold Dominican items as well. We went and they had TWO items from the DR. We asked and were told, "Dominicans cook with this." We know that, we are Dominican. I am looking for Dominican beer, Malta, Sazon, etc They had a great selection for other Latin American countries but unfortunately not for the DR.

It says the store is a mexican market but it is not it's a Columbia market that must have changed ownership disappointed

To be honest prices are higher than other latin markets, just go there cause my family is from colombia and I'm from Mexico. Lower the prices. ;)

In search of a grocery store in San Jose that has high end meat and produce and Chaparral was recommended to me by a friend. The reviews looked good to so I decided to try it. Absolutely TERRIBLE! The produce was old, over handled and wilted. After seeing the produce, I did not want to even look at the meat. I would not recommend this place and I sure will not be back.

It used to be a good shopping experience. Not anymore, staff is rude, always staring at me weird. Talking under their breath. Not a friendly place like before. I won't be shopping there anymore.
