We finally went to Juan Valdez and I loved it!!! This coffee shop has seating area inside and outside. The do not have open free WiFi, you need to ask for the password. Or you can just get in the Doral city place free WiFi. Service was awesome. The lady taking our order helped us choose the right coffees. We sat inside and we had a coffee latte, strong, and with almond milk. The taste was on point and Sever exactly how I asked and liked: HOT. Thank you and until next time!
I love any Juan Valdez Cafe location. I would have appreciated a couple of recommendations from the barista once he noticed my indecisiveness but the food and drink options are great. The bakery is similar to starbucks although it has a latin twist, and the coffee is delicious and the caramel is made with arequipe (which is a giant plus for me!) :).
Purchased the Coladita... Which I understand was the same as Colada. Drank that with some water as its double espresso. Anyway they serve colombian coffe at a small coffee shop similar to Starbucks. They have smoothies, iced coffee and tea. They also sell Some bread products and some bottled drinks. Its basically starbucks on a smaller scale and sells Colombian Coffee. The location is also very good CityPlace in Doral
Great coffee (I had the ice shaken espresso) with friendly service and nice atmosphere. The desserts aren’t too sweet either. Not too many tables n chairs. But cozy spot that doesn’t feel like a cafe chain (more personal).
Excellent coffee and great friendly service.
It was my first time at this Juan Valdez location and I’m not exaggerating when I say- this place just became a part of my family’s Sunday ritual. The place is decorated well and is very inviting, as well as the ladies working and greeting everybody with a smile. The coffee to Colombian food, you leave this place extremely happy that you had an authentic taste of Colombia. God Bless , all the best!
The music was a little bit loud. The coffee is real good
It is good to see and have original Colombian coffee legend here in US. I enjoyed their Tinto coffee along with carrot cake. Store was clean, neat and comfy. Parking was easy and free in parking area in the back. I wish to see a Juan Valdez location in Atlanta too.
From entering this place I used to come to every day but it’s been years as I travel for work. The service and food have not failed. Upon walking in everyone was so friendly. The manager Horacio was very efficient in making sure I was taken care of. Maria took my order with a beautiful smile and Dianelis made my coffee. I ordered the beef puff pastry and let me tell you, it’s one of my new favorites. The fluff and flakiness was too perfection along with the taste of the beef. I also ordered my regular coffee a hot oat milk latte with sugar free vanilla with cinnamon on top. It is so good and not too sweet. You can tell they love working here and what they do.
April 2025: We visited again while in town for a cruise and visited this shop several times in the two days before our cruise. We just love this place and you can't beat the location. Even when they were busy, our drinks came out quickly. January 2025: We stayed at a nearby hotel several days prior to and following a cruise and as soon as we booked that hotel, I knew that I wanted to walk over to this coffee shop. Free coffee was available at the hotel, yet I wanted a latte each morning from this place. I recommend looking through the various coffee options online before visiting as many were new to me. The first couple lattes were made with the default "volcan-strong" espresso and I couldn't taste the pistachio flavor over the espresso shots. Once I looked at the various customization options for a latte through the website though, I settled on the "huila-balance" espresso and I could taste the flavor then. I think the huila is more in line with the lattes I drink back home and I never felt over-caffeinated drinking the volcan lattes I just couldn't taste the flavor with that espresso. I visited this location on both weekday and weekend mornings and the wait was never more than 5 minutes to order. Although I preferred to drink my latte while walking the neighborhood, the variety of seating options both inside and outside are very welcoming. I visited this location so much that earned a reward, so I hope that I can still use it when I am back in town this spring. In the meantime, I am loving the vanilla cinnamon freeze dried instant coffee at home. I made sure to purchase some before I flew back to the Midwest, but it looks like it is also available on Amazon. I visited 5 times in 5 days for the NYE cruise, so I look forward to coming again when we are in town for another cruise this spring.
Who does not want to stop by and see old Juan! Nice little cafe with usual assortment of pastry items. Obviously being in Miami a few more Spanish local items in the mix. The staff were efficient and nice. The place was clean and the cappuccino I had was delicious. If this review was helpful please give me a like!
Had to try this Cafe for a quick caffeine fix while staying in Doral. Loved the hot taro drink and the iced mocha latte wasn't bad either. Taro is usually my favorite bubble tea flavor and didn't expect it to taste so good as a hot drink.
Great coffeeshop with strong delicious coffee and carrot cake in Doral. Highly recommend if you are in the area. They also sell the coffee beans at the shop too. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of great artworks in the cafe and very beautiful vibe.
Authentic Colombian coffee shop. Lots of various coffees and pastries to choose from. Ample seating and good seating outside also.
Great service, really good variety of colombian pastries as well as pound cakes, cookies, and coffee. Also nice environment to work and meet with friends. Inside an open concept mall great to have a stroll
This place is a great addition to City Place Doral and a better alternative to Starbucks in terms of price and service! Love the empanadas and buñelos and the combo mix and match is much like at Colombian bakeries.
Juan Valdez is always a safe bet if you want to enjoy great coffee and some small things to eat. I enjoyed the cafe Nevado with a bandebuono, something where you can't do anything wrong.

Great coffee shop! The cortado was amazing!

Great overall, I like it better than coffee on the rest of the block. The whipped cream is fantastic. The pastries in general are very good

Very cozy atmosphere. And great tasting coffee. The water fountain outside makes for a really relaxing place to hang out and sip your coffee. The service staff could have been a little friendlier and spoke better English.

The service is excellent & I prefer Juan Valdez to any other coffee. However the affogato needs revamping. Went to Georgia of all places and their perfect affogato with ice cream perfect temperature, drizzle chocolate syrup & sprinkled cinnamon was the best affogato I've had.
The good: -It was open Christmas Day!✨🎄 -Variety of options -Clean and organized The not so good: -consistency with the drinks made. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes bad -music is too loud for my liking. It’s impossible to read or work with the music being so loud. Overall, a good spot for a quick cup of coffee but it’s not comfortable enough to stay here to work or study.

I’ve been going there since it first opened, food is always great and so is the ambiance.. depends on the time of day sometimes it gets very hectic. But the service isn’t always the best. I feel like there should be atleast one bilingual person. It could definitely make ordering a lot easier

My experience at Juan Valdez, Doral City Place was a mixed bag. While we enjoyed the coffee and found the sandwiches satisfactory, we felt disappointed about the misleading description of the Panini. Authentic Panini typically features Italian bread like ciabatta or focaccia, so using regular loaf bread can be a letdown for those expecting a traditional experience. Transparency in menu descriptions is important, as it aligns customer expectations with what is actually served. Hopefully, they can take this feedback into account and improve their offerings!
The place was good just be sure to arrive more than one hour before they close Because the true Colombian coffee, they making special machines that they start cleaning up an hour before they close. So you can't really taste the true colombian coffee you just have to buy the.Regular coffee they have. i hope they read this because this could have been negative one star because I went there expecting to try the good stuff

The atmosphere of the place would be better if the place was clean and the staff were nice. We have never been here before and decided to give this place a try. We walked in and were never greeted, or even offered a recommendation of the best drink. The guy that took our order wasn’t pleasant at all, he just asked what we wanted and didn’t even bother in asking anything that would’ve helped with our order. Nothing. The other girls working there came out and didn’t even say hi, nothing. Just a bunch of young kids making this place look bad. On top of that the coffee was HORRIBLE, making Starbucks taste better. While I understand this isn’t a restaruant I know that if you are a small business greeting people when they come in or leave makes a big difference when providing customer service. Definitely will not recommend or come back. The worst part: I actually tipped and didn’t even get a good service.
Good latte but could hardly enjoy it due to its terrible service! We were a group of seniors pushed out of the cafe as they were in a hurry to close. Wonder why they took the order to begin with! One of the servers even placed a chair upside down on our table moving my friend’s coffee while he was pouring sugar on to it. Unbelievable!!! Their coffee and food was over shadowed by a deplorable service. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Bad experience with extremely rude barista when I mentioned the coffee's flavor didn't taste as advertised. She should have acknowledged the customer's complaint instead
The quality and service of the various Juan Valdez Cafes in Miami has been varying. However, the one in Doral City Place which used to be our favorite, had maintained their quality, service and attention to detail until my last visit on April 5, 2025 where they served us a stale, damaged or overcooked marble loaf cake which they offered to replace once. The replacement was as bad so my wife kindly requested a refund which they refused. This is our last visit to Juan Valdez City Place Doral as you just lost me as a valued loyal customer. I hope you understand that one happy customer can bring you a few more customers but one disgruntled customer can negatively influence your business. I also hope Camila Escobar CEO of your brand reads this review and make you understand the importance of maintaining product quality and being customer centric!
HORRIBLE THE SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER ABOUT LYING TO THE PEOPLE AND EVERY TIME WE GO THERE , THEY SAY WE HAVE ONE STAR AND THEY LIED BECAUSE I AM THERE , THET SAY I STILL HAVE ONE STAR , ALSO THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TIME IN MY FOOD INSIDE I FOUND HAIR AND ALOT LITTLE THING IN THE FOOD DISCUSTING THE FOOD
Worst place to order coffee from. We ordered 2 drinks, 1 hot and 1 cold. Both didn’t arrive full at all. Hot spilled all over the driver once he picked it up and the other on the way here. Driver had to put it in another bag to even bring it to us. We called for a refund, guess what? No one answers their phones phones.
I order a hot chocolate. It’s horrible, it doesn’t even taste like chocolate. It’s like water with a hint of some thing like chocolate. I don’t even know what is. Don’t come for that

Ordered pumpkin spice latte, the barista was extremely rude when I brought it up to her to tell her that the pumpkin spice flavor was missing. Her response was rude and not understanding and contrary to professional customer caring
They are new and need to work on process . People behind my order were getting their order first because they are not organizing orders in order of arrival. They do not have enough staff for first week and the busiest traffic week of ten year Black Friday.
