The food was very good; I ordered shrimp aguachile, marlin machaca tacos, and sea bass ceviche tostadas, and they were delicious. If you're from Mexico City, you probably won't like the shrimp cocktail since they prepare it differently.

We just by happen chance stumbled upon this lovely gem of a place. Mostly fish, no chicken and some meat dishes. All the food that was presented to us was excellent. The meat was not tough, the shrimp were fresh and tasty. They located an English menu for us ( the prices are outdated). A very large amount of food for a very reasonable price. Very entertaining to watch the hummingbirds. The waiter was excellent.

This is local dish called Callos de lobina with chilli, I was recommended this by a local in previous town Creel. They catch the Bass locally in the river, it was delicious. This is uncooked fish 😉 Lovely setting inside the building but easy to miss as it’s inside hotel, staff all friendly & one of the waiters spoke English which was great help.

El lugar es bastante agradable, sólo que el servicio deja mucho que desear ya que los platillos tardan demasiado en llegar. Éramos la única mesa, se mantiene el acomodo de sana distancia, toma de temperatura y se proporciona gel antibacterial, bien ahí.

La comida estaba rica y a precio razonable, pero el servicio me decepcionó, entiendo cuando hay mucho comensal, pero éramos los únicos y se tardaron unos treinta minutos en servir.

Buen lugar, probamos la machaca de marlin y marlin a la caguama. Nos gustó más el primero. De tomar pedimos las uvolas que resultaron muy refrescantes. Lo que probamos rico a secas, nada espectacular ni fuera de serie. Sí volvería para probar otros platillos.

Service was good but the food was not what I expected. I've lived 9 years in Mexico and know the difference between a shrimp ceviche and a shrimp cocktail. Well, I definitely got a cocktail and it wasn't shrimp. Most of it was fish anyway and it was served in a glass with lots of tomato sauce. When I inquired I was told shrimp cocktail is with cooked shrimps and ceviche is with raw shrimp, which is true, but it doesn't explain the tomato juice (that I really don't like ...). If you're going to make changes to a well known recipe, please inform your customers beforehand so you don't get a bad review. Would not come again. My friends on the other hand were happy with what they ordered: fried fish fillet and shrimp. So the quality is not at stake here, it's just nice to get what you order.

Like most towns that only see tourists for one night, in this case, either at the start or end of El Chepe, repeat business is not on anyone’s mind. Nobody is coming back anyway. I found the same in Pelanque. I ordered a typical camarones in chipotle sauce. Order accepted with a smile. When the waiter arrived he explained that the dish I was getting was a “different sauce but very good” 🤣 It was good but it was more like a Chinese sauce, nothing like what I ordered. I speak very good Spanish so nothing was lost in translation. If I was a school teacher the report card would read “ must try harder”.

The place is quiet and has tables both inside and outside. My food was salty, but I was very hungry. It took 40 minutes for my dish to arrive, and even after an hour, my companions still hadn't received theirs. The service is incredibly slow; they should improve it because I saw many people frustrated since you lose track of time waiting. They don't have a system for serving; some tables that arrived later were served first. The waiter wasted a lot of time. I think someone else took our order (not the waiter), which is why there was so much trouble. Perhaps hiring more staff wouldn't hurt. My drink came in a plastic bag, and they refused to give us the bill without the food. We had to wait until it was served, which was very quickly after the waiter found out. We were definitely left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Poor service from management. They have insufficient staff and are very disorganized. I visited the place and it took over an hour to get my food served; it wasn't in the order people arrived, and the drinks came wrapped in plastic. The food was a bit salty. And when it came time to pay, the cashier was disorganized.
