I have always got good food here. But I got the toast toastadas this visit & they came out cold so I HAD to send em back, Mexican food is good cold! So they QUICKLY bought out my 2nd plate! Not my plate rewarded but a whole new plate. It was cold too! Ok I'll take a to go box, I've got a microwave at home.

The food was good. Had the beef fajitas…very tender and flavorful. My hubby had the Chile rellenos. Very good as well. The waiter was very attentive and kept checking up on us. The only thing was the price for the sopalpillas. $7.00 dollars for 4 when other places give them for free. And was charged .50 for a doggie bag to go. Never seen that before. The food is already priced accordingly. Maybe the sopalpillas should be $3 or $4…….not $7. And don’t charge for leftover food to go. Nobody else does. Just saying. But other than that, a very good eating experience. 👍

I’ve been to the Carlos and Mickeys location by Ft Bliss a couple times so I kind of knew what to expect going in. I’m surprised the decor doesn’t really match the other location, which I thought was nice. It kind of gave an authentic Mexican restaurant experience. However, this location definitely feels more corporate. It’s still nice though, I just missed all the fun decor. My husband and I sat in the bar area which was somewhat busy at the time. I will say we both felt bad for the poor bartender that was running around making drinks, taking orders from customers at the bar while also handling customers seated at the high top tables. I definitely think he was overworked and needed help because the service was quite slow due to him handling so many areas. We ordered the bandido fries as appetizer. Be forewarned, it is actually huge potato wedges rather than actual fries. We were surprised by what we were served but it didn’t taste bad. The description just made it sound like loaded fries. For drinks I got the mango margarita and my husband ordered a beer on tap. The regular size margarita is good size for one person but I did see a HUGE size they offer that looks like it’s meant for a group. The flavor was very light but still there. I’d definitely try other flavors next time, they have alot of fruity options! For our main course, my husband ordered the shrimp fajitas and I got the Mexico City combination. My combination consisted of a taco, enchilada, tamale and chile relleno - with beans and rice on the side. Everything tasted good, I will say the tamale was a tad bit dry. The Chile relleno was huge and filled with soooo much cheese. A big plus for anyone that favors this dish. Overall the quality of food matches the other Carlos and Mickeys location. I get that this isn’t super authentic Mexican food but it does the job. Other than the service lacking, I’d say it was a good experience. Hopefully they can learn to have an actual server help with the bar area so guests aren’t waiting a long time for service.

I got tacos al pastor and they were just okay. I was expecting the pineapple to be diced on top but was served a canned pineapple slice? The presentation was not good and the scallions on top were inconvenient and ugly. I would’ve preferred diced onions. The beans were well seasoned and flavorful and were probably the best part of this meal. My friend ordered steak fajitas and was still hungry after. They also have aguas frescas-which aren’t on the menu?- Jamaica and Horchata. The service was also a little slow, we waited for a while to get our food. But, the music was good and the decorations felt very home-y.

I think this counts as authentic TexMex cuisine. The other three in my party loved it...I thought it was good, not great. Flavors of the taco and enchilada on my platter were generally bland while the red and green chile sauces were SO spicy as to detract from what base flavors could be detected in the dish. Now...the atmosphere is great (with great live music on a Friday nite) and the service was outstanding. This could just be a taste preference thing on my part...so please don't stay away from C&M's because of this review. It's definitely worth a try.

Came for breakfast their coffee is disgusting told waiter coffee tasted weird he said they add cinnamon asked him if I could have a coffee without it he said no more likely he didn’t want to make a fresh pot waiter came once to our table and didn’t see him again till we asked for the bill saw most of the employees being on their phones more than attending customers.. to management stop putting cinnamon to yr coffee it’s pretty disgusting and I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks so either..

Living on nostalgia. Sort of a local legend and very popular especially seeing the ratings. Went in for dinner with an out of town family member and greeted with a 1 hour wait. Chose 2 seats at the bar that opened up 30 mins. The bar staff was okay but they were out of the following: Coke, Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, bottled Modelo and sliced limes... 🤷‍♂️ Broke down and got a Margarita (very good but weak) orderered chicken flautas but they only had meat on the ends 🤣 Damn inflation! Please see pictures. Place was packed and people were enjoying the drinks. But I personally think I'll go elsewhere next time. Family members combo plate was good but he also felt the portions were small and light on the protein. I also would pass on the gross men's room. Good luck, maybe an off night for us. 💔

Ordered a fried ice cream and I got a ball of ice cream partially covered in rice krispy cereal. The worst, it is not the first time I order this desert here, the first time it was a warm fried ice cream. I Called the establishment and asked about it & they said that’s how it’s always made, trying to gaslight me. Not true at all! Do not order fried ice, you will get scammed! Totally disappointed.

Took my daughter and spouse to eat at this restaurant after an evening out celebrating Dia De Los Muertos. I can't think of the last time I had bad experience at a restaurant until my recent visit here. Extremely rude and non-existent service. I will NEVER bring my family here again and will stick to the other location near the airport as the service, food, and overall experience is always amazing. I highly recommend not eating at this location either.
