If you are looking for great food, look no further! Staff was super attentive and friendly. Worth saving up your money to splurge on great food!
I have been to Casa Pantera several times and this restaurant never disappoints. Every dish I have ordered is cooked to perferfection and flavorful. Great drinks as well. Nice casual atmosphere.
If you are in El Paso then you definitely need to stop by. We went early (5pm) on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded. Our server, Albert, was excellent. The food was wonderful and the cocktails were fantastic. Highly recommend this place. Best meal I’ve had in a while. The only thing I didn’t love was the techno music. But that may just be me
Went for my 60th birthday. The service was above and beyond! Never has a waiter asked if there were any food allergies they needed to know about. Very polite and attentive staff. The food was outstanding we will be back and thank you again Roger for helping me change my reservation
Wow! I have nothing bad to say about this place! Our server Ileana was great! Very knowledgeable and was on point with her recommendations. All the food tonight was great. I have had duck and mole before but nothing compared to what I tasted tonight. Even the corn tamal was great despite it not having filling. Will definitely come back.
Chef Santiago definitely has talent with creating the menu. This is the only place I go to for oysters. And they are very fresh and super delicious! The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I frequent here mostly for the phenomenal oysters but all the other menu items are exquisite. Definitely a place to go to for any occasion or just to simply treat yourself.
From the food to the aviance, 5 stars still isnt enough. Top level cuisine with a vibe to match. From steaks to seafood rare to El Paso, the culinary magic will satisfy the toughest of critics. Perfect for a date night with that special someone or even a night out with friends. Come hungry and leave amazed. The Chef knew exactly what EP needed!
Place was fire and staff was on point...very attentive. I got the rib and damn. Still thinking about it. That bone marrow tho... tried a few mixed drinks all top notch. Alright yes place it pretty pricey for some stuff but you are getting quality and taste. Yes its a little dark and the place next door cracks...if you need light to read a menu and sensitive to a awesome vibe. Just dont go. If your not scared to try something different? try it out you won't be disappointed but yes it is fine dinning prices. Live a little life's to short. Or dont idc just had to leave this review cause the place stuck with me. Can't wait to try it again.
Was an amazing experience Ileana was a great host. She explained the menu great and made some awesome food recommendations the muscles and chorizo appetizer was fantastic. Ordered the suadero on mashed potatoes amazing definitely coming back the wife and myself enjoyed the whole experience.
My boyfriend and I have been coming here every year for our anniversary. We recently celebrated our 3rd anniversary and our waiter, Anthony, reminded us why we love celebrating here. He was very attentive and brought everything promptly. The food was great although it was pricey, it was worth it especially because the service was exceptional. Anthony was a great waiter, he went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.
SO GOOD. This place is so unsuspecting but it exceeded my expectations! We got the ribeye, filet mignon w caramelized shallot butter, and truffle whipped potatoes which were all phenomenal. I got a frozen cucumber mint margarita which was SO refreshing and delicious. Definitely recommend if you’re craving a steak!
Excellent! Make sure you make it to Casa Pantera when you are in El Paso. We ordered blue point oysters and I was worried how fresh it would be but they were very fresh!. Also ordered filet with white truffle cheese and veracruzana and I MUST say that my filet was AMAZING with that mesquite wood and i tried veracruzana and oh my, the salmon and shrimp were FANTASTIC! And oh, i forgot to mention that we ordered Justin isosceles was VERY good for all you Red wine enthusiast! Finished dinner with coconut gelato and EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Compliments to the Chef!
🎉 Birthday celebrations at Casa Pantera a night to remember! This incredible Oaxacan steakhouse in El Paso set the stage with its warm, vibrant atmosphere and amazing flavors. The ceviche was so fresh and bursting with flavor, and the Besitos Pantera cocktail brought just the right amount of spicy heat 🍹🔥 (still dreaming about that habanero kick!). My medium-rare ribeye was a showstopper, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious 🥩✨. To top it all off, dessert was a rich chocolate masterpiece made with mole sauce every bite was pure indulgence 🍫. Amazing food, vibes, and even better company made it an unforgettable night 💃💖. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to celebrate in style!
First time here and certainly not the last for sure in my opinion of the best restaurants in El Paso and Far West Texas. Service is amazing thank you Chris our server and the food definitely follows super delicious and great presentation. Beverage program amazing I do not drink only they had a Pineapple mock tail that was very tasty.
What an incredible night! Let’s start with the ambiance—absolutely spectacular. The setting was cozy, and we sat toward the back patio, right in front of the kitchen. The Santa Maria grill was in full action, filling the air with the rich aroma of grilled beef—a refreshing change from the familiar scent of BBQ I’m surrounded by every day. We went all in on the meal, starting with a bone-in filet mignon, a perfectly cooked ribeye, and some beautifully grilled octopus. Every bite was exceptional. The mixed drinks were on point, perfectly complementing the meal. Overall, the food, the atmosphere, and the experience were nothing short of amazing. It was an honor meeting Santiago, "Chef" and owner, who also happens to be one of our customers. I was impressed to see him in the field, fully immersed in his craft. You could feel the love and passion he puts into his food—just like we do at Rollin' Smoke BBQ. We don’t go out much and had no idea about this HOT spot until our couple’s date night last night. I’m so glad we stepped out and discovered this absolute GEM. Already looking forward to my next visit! Super highly recommend!
Phenomenal dining experience! Service, ambiance, and taste were all on point. The bone marrow is absolutely life changing; a must order for sure. Follow that with Hawaiian ceviche, rounded out with the tamal (fresh ground masa) and the appetizers blew us away. Ordered the classic ribeye which came out perfectly smoked and cooked. Gorgeous red center. Finished the night with the chocolate mole and caramel gelato which was the perfect ending to an exceptional dinner! Could not be more impressed, and will return often.
We had an amazing experience at Casa Pantera. Our waiter Anthony did an outstanding job of explaining every question we had, he was super friendly and welcoming, he gave us great recommendations on drinks and food, and he was on top of everything. It was My husband and I's first time celebrating our anniversary and we will come back, we felt very welcomed, and the staff kept coming to our table to check on us. The food and drinks were amazing, especially the octopus and we even received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend
Wonderful place to eat, relax and have a drink!! Their cocktails have the most unique ingredients and taste phenomenal. The atmosphere and surroundings make you feel like you've been transported somewhere lush and tropical. Great Music!! Food is AMAZING!! Try it out as soon as you can and don't forget to make reservations - it WILL be completely worth it!!
Place is super cute, love the vibe, but immediately not a fan of the inside overcrowded seating. I give credit for doing so much with such a small space, but our "intimate" dinner included the people sitting extremely close to us on both sides. You can hear EVERYTHING. Service was OK, my filet mignon was not tender at all, and the fish had lots of bones. It was fine, but people next to us counted 27 bones. 🤣 Like I said, too close. Anniversary touches were nice, mashed potatoes came highly recommended and were underwhelming. Too hyped up, I guess. The star of our meal, TRUFFLE FRIES. The end.
Evenings is the best time to go during our hot season since the majority of the restaurant is out doors. The appetizers are delicious. Never have had bone marrow with pulled-pork on top. Truffle mash potatoes are packed with flavor. You can never go wrong with French fries. Servers memorize the menu and knew the ingredients in the food. Very impressive. Constantly filled our drinks. Great service. We gave 4 out of 5 with the food because of the main meal, the tomahawk steak. The steak had great flavor but was really really tough. We had it cooked medium rare and sent back to cook it longer hoping it would help but it did not. With 1 appetizer, 2 sides, 1 main meal we payed close to $300 including the tip.
This place is not as great as all the 5 star ratings say. Its a pretty place, we had reservations so we didnt have to wait but people you do have to pay if you want to reserve a table, we waited for our food for a long time, food is not so great, pictures and videos are always great but once you're there is something different . For being something new and the bill being super high, we where expecting a lot more. Even my young adults voted West Texas Chop House better. I posted a picture of our 5 guest dinner so you can get an idea of what yout paying.
Stopped by on a Sunday evening for dinner with my parents. No reservation but were seated quickly. Overall we were disappointed. For the price, service was not up to par and very slow. Drinks are fire! The dishes were all hit or miss. The octopus was amazing. Skip the ceviche. I had the bone in ribeye and was so disappointed after hearing all the hype. I felt it was undercooked (ordered medium) but didn’t mind. Presentation was good but it was so chewy and frankly bland, I expected more of that wood flavor. I would have been so much happier with the ribeye from WTC. Mashed potatoes were very liquidy and seemed like they were bathed in butter (in a bad way). Asparagus was good. Shrimp tacos are served cold and are very labor intensive (full shell still on with head). Cool vibe/atmosphere but probably won’t be dining here again anytime soon, wasn’t worth the hype.
Pros - ambiance is nice / the food was good / staff is attentive and friendly Cons - way over priced / small portions / small table/ over crowded and seating is inches away from the people next to you. We heard their conversations and they heard ours. Made reservations for inside and we were seated outside at a high top table at the bar. The solution to keep warm was by a patio heater. My wife was put off by that at the start. Waited 30 minutes for an inside table. Food is very over priced. I had the duck which consisted of 8 small pieces and a mole sauce for $40. $15 for green beans and $30 for mashed potatoes. My wife had never been there before, it was my second time and will be the last.
Long awaited visit to Casa Pantera which is highly raved about. 2 couples and we tried as an appetizer the octopus and bone marrow both good, good flavor. Our main dishes were quite a wait but I think that’s just how it works from looking at a table of two who came in after us and when we left they were still waiting for their food, in other words don’t be in a rush. My main dish: short rib plate 10/10 in flavor and tenderness great recommendation by out server, price $40, the cilantro “salad” is just a side of cilantro and some radishes not really a salad but whatever works. Husband: 22oz ribeye, great flavor but at $66ish(?) it comes with no sides. He ordered black beans $13 for a little side bowl, tasty but $13? Mmm no. My sister in law had the chicken and that was delicious, my brother in law had some waygu and he wasn’t impressed and ended up eating her chicken. We ordered a frozen margarita, a regular one and two palomas - my margarita was extremely tart and citrusy my favorite was the paloma from what we ordered. At the end of the night our tab (just 2 of us) was $195 before gratuity. We were sat outdoors and that was not the place especially with all the flies, you and the flies are both eating. It’s summer and it’s inevitable but it took away from the enjoyment. Definitely don’t recommend outdoor seating in the summer. Verdict: it’s good and serves a vibe but for me it was a one and done.
Went there yesterday, I am usually never the one to complain about food, Or even leave a review! I am I a big steak/ribeye guy. Me and my girlfriend got the bone in ribeye and service was excellent staff is kind and nice. The food though is disappointing, I dont mind spending money on food specially when its great. The food was flavorless the steak was cooked to my liking but doesn’t taste speciially for the price of it youll get a better steak west texas great american or even texas road house horrible steak ordered the mash potatoes with truffle horrible tasted like petroleum. I know what a good truffle side taste like and this was definitely not it. Would not recommend, expensive and food is not worth it!
