Love this restaurant so much! My family and I love going here! The carne asada fries are my favorite! Under new management and the new owners are so sweet and caring towards their customers. Would definitely recommend!

When I called in an order for tamales and a charcuterie board for Thanksgiving, the call was quick, easy and the staff was sweet. When I picked up my order everyone was warm and welcoming. The tamales were moist and flavorful, perfect ratio of masa and filling, 10/10 would recommend👍🏽

Quite good. I've tried several items on the menu and have yet to not like one of them! The employees are always very helpful and polite and definitely make you feel welcome. It's a small hidden gem in a shopping complex that is easy to miss but then you would the one missing out . If you know the hassle of making tamales then knowing this place always has them ready to serve you everyday then you appreciate the extra work it takes to be able to offer that . If your in a rush call them and they will have your order ready to go ASAP

Stopped for a quick bite for lunch, got the red chicken enchiladas. The sauce had good flavor, a good amount of sauce, cheese, and chicken. The horchata was very good too.

My husband ordered us some burritos today, this is the first time we have tried this restaurant as my husbands father works with the owner and recommended us here. I had a steak burrito with added avocado, chile rejeno, cheese & sour cream. Out of this world it was so so good, my husband also really enjoyed his burrito (unsure what he had) but i wanted to give my feedback as i noticed there havent been many reviews since the restaurant under went new ownership and i honestly think so far the food is really worth it! Also the prices are very good, this is probably going to be the “go to” place for me, im hopeful future experiences will be just as delicious as this one!

We ordered tamales on New Years Eve afternoon for our dinner. We had pork, cheese with chili, and chicken. All of us enjoyed them very much. They were perfectly prepared, generously filled, and better than Gussies! We will be ordering food here again. Looking forward to the barbacoa.

I ordered tamales as well as menudo, was worried because there was a line but I still got my food in a timely manner and I was able to enjoy it with family as well. They did seem understaffed but they handled it very well.

Ordered the Flautas family pack. The flautas were good, had a good amount of meat and was packed with a good amount sides and salsa. The lemonade was good and fresh. Will be trying more off their menu, they didn’t disappoint.

My mom lives very close to here & whenever the family comes over we usually order & pick-up several dozen tamales, burgers, gorditas and/or Mexican plates. So far we have never had a bad experience with them. Their attentive, quick, and excel at customer service. I would recommend them highly to anyone who wants excellent sabroso tamales.

Good food. However, do not order a dozen or more burritos in advance. For some reason they either forget or make mistakes. Now getting burritos on a walk in basis is great. Some of the staff comes off brusque. Go with it. Good burritos. Good price.

The Tortas were delicious. The fries were good, thick but needed a bit more salt. The Barbacoa was ok but needed a bit more seasoning. The service is pretty straightforward and the staff was courteous. You'll have to buy the soda cans individually and grab them yourself. They will bring your order to the table but you wont be waited on hand and foot. Was quaint and nice. The prices are decent but a little heavy on the wallet if your trying to save yourself money. I spent about $22 on two Tortas, a burrito, 2 orders of fries and 2 soda cans to give you an example.

Place is pretty good been eating here since I was a kid. Love the food never disappointed with the tamales. The price on the other hand it’s a little up there but good non the less.

This was my favorite place, but new ownership now. The gorditas are excellent loved it. But the Tamales are not the same I got green Chile/cheese and it was all green Chile no cheese and has a way different flavor. Didn't care for it at all.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was in high school and the food has always been spectacular until yesterday that is. I am wondering if the place has a new cook or is under new management. I ordered three single tacos that are now 2.99 a piece, yes I said a piece. I ordered alambre tacos thinking they would be like they normally are, full of meat and cheese and what I actually received were 4 small street tacos. The meat was burnt and there was hardly any cheese. I feel a bit ripped off by purchasing the tacos. I also ordered my go to meal here which is the Gordita plate. The Gordita’s were good but they tasted different from what they normally taste like. I would probably buy the gorditas again. I was going to try the sabrofries but I’m glad I didn’t since the taco meat was not very good. I would still go here though because maybe it was just a bad night.

Fresh food but hardly any meat in the menu items. Ordered gorditas and I thought the picadillo was a light bean spread. The gorditas was mostly lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Good but no meat.

Food was a little less than average. We ordered sirloin tacos and caldo de rez. The caldo de rez should be renamed caldo de vegetables aka vegetable soup as there was only a small piece of meat and large amounts of vegetables. The rice was undercooked and the sirloin tacos were average. The service was great, so the rating is not a reflection on the service rather the food.

I had gotten someone to pick up green chicken tamales (big pregnancy craving) and some were great but than theres 4-6 that taste SO sour, smells like cheese and even the inside smells like stinky cheese. I truly couldnt finish the rest untouched.. definitely wasnt worth it 💔

I called for prices on tamales at 5:15pm. They told me the price but said they are closed???? So why answer the phone and why does your hours of operation say your open till 6pm? Wish I could give it 0 stars since they didn't do anything for me. Oh well, I know I can get treated better at Hilda's Tamales.

Awful chilaquiles verdes. Way too much pepper and menudo is old or overcooked. Order was for pickup and they wanted me to go back for a remake of food. Thanks but no thanks. They should just give me credit for this awful food!

Small portions, tasted like leftovers from days ago , over charged and i still tipped for food that didn’t taste good at all , had more tortilla that meat , rice was cold , had a friend get sick from this place but i still continued to go and eat here thinking it wasn’t the food that got him sick , but today i woke up throwing up and sick to my gut Don’t eat here !!!!! no matter how convenient it is.

A while ago when I ordered burritos they were good full meat but recently a few weeks ago I got two barbacoa burritos it was over 8 dollars and hardly any meat and not worth it for the money

The food is good but the service the owners provide is so poor always with a bad attitude making faces and treating people like they give food away for free,kept going there expecting a better attitude from the owners but as always horrible service, I had it, the lady who seems to be the owners wife gave me the worst service ever when buying masa, had a question about it and she immediately started to argue when all I ask was " is this regular masa or is it mixed with the prepared masa? She laughted at me even when I showed her the masa had some cilantro leaves on it and told me if I wanted it or not ,in my personal opinion I'm never going back there

I went to this place expecting great tamales. But all I received were multiple RAW tamales. These were being fed to my family and children. I felt so guilty, for putting my family at risk from getting sick from eating these raw tamales. This franchise has no respect for their customers for not checking their products being safe to be consumed before sending them out. Unless they knew but know that no conveniences come from it and just care for money. It's DISGUSTING and the AUDACITY to sell this and STILL charge a "transaction fee" for this horrible service. I wish I knew the risks walking into this franchise. Click on the photos to see the raw tamales with the dough being so raw I could easily get it and form a ball or any shape with it. How can someone miss MULTIPLE tamales being this raw?! There's no excuse for putting peoples health at risk from ingesting raw products. NONE. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD. Be warned.

Worst menudo , tasted weird did not eat tasted old . horchata was watered down, and caldo for 9$ was the Smallest bad tasting , like it was old not fresh caldo we ever had, not worth the money , don't waste your money

I was so looking forward to eating some delicious tamales. I am sorry to say, the tamale masa tasted strange, did not have a good taste. I tried one tamale from each bag. The meat in red chile tasted okay, but was dry,...needed more red chile. I am hoping this is taken in a good way, please taste the masa, see if you can make these tamales taste better, again. I'd like to someday go back and taste some good red chile tamales. They used to taste so good. I was just in today after 4 p.m. ...while I was waiting for the dozen tamales, ...a man went in and asked for a refund for some pre-paid tamales

I asked if the tamales were Rajas and cheese she said yes! They ended up being big huge tamales made with canned vinegar jalapeños with the carrots. They needed salt and flavor/lard. Red tamales had a slight sweat flavor needed salt and manteca (lard). The chille in the red pork tasted weird they also left alot of bay leaves (hojas de laurel) in the meat it needed salt and flavor/manteca. So emberassing because I had family over from out of town and wasted money on 2 dozen tamales and went and got menudo for them somewhere else instead of tamales. I wasn't going to feed my family something I wouldn't eat. What a waste of money and time. Tamales take alot of time to make also. So what a waste of employee time making such bad tamales. Not ever coming back. 3-26-2022 visited.

Picadillo burritos had more beans than meat. The beans were rancid. Had to toss them. Used to be agreat place. Never eating there again! The lady next door said they have a lot of roaches.

Then they have a sign in there that the restroom is not for drivers only for customers. For the people outside that goes and eat there be careful because there's some roaches there and the food it's not at all good. If you want very good tamales go to la Moderna bakery on hondo pass and they're tamales are super good. They have real good menudo and burritos too. I will 100% recommend la Moderna bakery. Very good bread too. You won't regret it!
