It was my first time here and my wife’s birthday; we ordered hot antipasto and Caesar salad for appetizer s and my wife had Salmon for main course ( loved the Dijon sauce) I had the Chicken Sorrentino ( prosciutto and eggplant) with a delicious Marsala sauce so so tasty!! The vegetables served with the entrees very good escarole & green beans w carrots The wait staff very friendly and give excellent service and the owner comes and greets his customers and asks you if everything is good!! That’s nice to see; very nice man . I highly recommend Ninos and will come back soon!!!

I am very impressed with Nino’s. This is what the dining experience was and thankfully here still is. My party of two was warmly greeted by the hostess. Our waiter, and all the waitstaff, were polite and attentive. In fact, the waiter felt like a friend as the meal ended. Water glasses were never empty and flatware change between appetizer course and main course was the extra touch so appreciated. And as expected, the food was amazing. An “Italian” egg roll sounds odd but was wonderful. Main courses of pasta were equally delightful. Homemade pasta papardelle and superb beef ragu sauce was my choice and it was a generous portion. I’m pretty excited I had to bring half of it home to enjoy it a second time. What a fabulous experience which I highly recommend. I’m from Long Island and I will endure the brake lights of the Belt Parkway to return in the future.

Our party of ten elder celebrants of birthdays and 30th wedding anniversary were well accommodated in the main dining room. None of the starting appetizers sampled - Calamari Fritti, antipasto caldo and Vongole Oreganata - stood out particularly. Generally prefer accompanying bread loaves toasted. Our party passed on any zuppa or insalate. Plating and tableware were replaced for the entrees and desert. Competent servers were unobtrusive. The opted for pastas, farfalle, rigatoni and penne were perfectly Al dente. From a simple chicken parmigiana, a Pesce Franchese, Pollo Sorrentino, Pollo Ripoieno, sliced sausage over broccoli rabe, meat ravioli, an eclectic sampling were heartily consumed. On a return visit I'd like to try the lamb shanks from the special menu. However, from the specials two of us chose the "Sunday Sauce," "gravy" with a featured trio of meatball, sausage and beef braciole the latter of which I first cut with a knife that passed through like warm butter. Then a fork edge was enough to separate bite size morsels with ease. I'd want to have had a doggy bag but I cleared my plate leaving only a little farfalle behind. Tiramisu, cheesecake, a lemon sorbet and a mango sorbet we're among the deserts chosen. An all together satisfying 2½ hour Sunday evening conclusion.

My husband and I came from Brooklyn, NY and we ate at Nino's in Staten Island for the first time on Friday. The food was excellent, the service was great and so was the atmosphere. The waiters were very courteous and took good care of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We are planning to go back soon with our family.

We catered food for my birthday this past Sunday. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The baked ziti was perfect, and even though we ordered a half tray, they gave it to us in a long flat tray that made it so much easier to heat up and serve. The chicken francese was delicious, the sauce was perfect and it easy to cut with just a fork. When I went there to pick up the order, everyone couldn’t have been nicer, from the manager, to the person who helped me bring the trays to the car, to the valet, who spun my car around for me in the parking lot so I could just jump in when I came back out with the food. There’s no doubt that we will use them again when we need to cater! Keep up the good work!

One of my favorites on Staten Island. I love their Sunday sauce and chocolate souffle. However, it goes fast. You have to get there early enough before it runs out. However, they'll take care of you with a delicious option. Lou the waiter is the best we love his service and attention.

Have dined here on multiple occasions. It's a reliable neighborhood restaurant for comfort Italian food. The extensive menu is supplemented by a wide variety of specials. The food is well prepared and presented tastefully. The service is friendly and attentive. Pricing is reasonable. It is somewhat noisy but tolerable. A post dinner complimentary digestif is a nice finishing touch.

Really great service and food in Staten Island! Very attentive and courteous. Our waiters and the boss came to ask for our needs and if things were good all the time. This was my first time being offered to re-cook the veal when it's a bit raw. I like their proactive approach! The boss even gave us free coffee and dessert! It's our first time there and will go back.

Amazing service and amazing food. The environment is very formal and modern. I highly recommend any of their seafood dishes. They come out hot and fresh, rather than the dishes served at other restaurants, which are often cold and leftover-like. I've been here many times and will be coming back in the near future. There's no doubt that this is one of the best, if not THE best formal Italian restaurant on Staten Island.

We had a large family holiday party, 25 persons, and everyone enjoyed the great food, very attentive service, and pleasant ambiance and comfortable party room here. Valet parking was tip-top and quick plus there is plenty of on-street parking around the corner. We'll definitely be booking for next year's party here again.

Really had an excellent dining experience. The service was on point, the restaurant was immaculate, and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back. Really liked that they have a good choice of specials, for appetizers as well as entrees. A "specials" menu to review would have been helpful because of the number of choices. One other suggestion - heat the plates for the entrees. And I mean nice and hot. There's nothing like the last bite being as hot as the first.

Food was great! Wait staff was very attentive. Waiter was at our table quickly to place our order, and the food is always fresh. There wasn't a long wait time and the atmosphere was also very quaint. I had the steak and was cooked as asked. My fiance had the Salmon and everything was delicious! A little wine and a lemon drop to go was our drinks. We finished our meal with a slice of cheese cake!. The hostess greeted me and my husband swiftly seated us. I was there with my spouse and coworkers for the annual Dyker Christmas party. I like how the party room has its own entrance and the open bar located within the party room. It all started with my favorite Espresso Martini. The salad Insalata di Rucola with lemon vinaigrette is fantastic. The main dish The Oreganata filet de sole was cooked to perfection, and it was a lovely way to cap the night with sweet sweets. Overall, excellent meal and courteous service. The owner, as well as the waiter, came over to make sure everything was in order. That's what I call service. We will return, thank you Ninos. I moved to New Jersey 15 years ago and one of the things I missed the most was the Calamari Fradiavlo. Today I ordered some takeout for my and my in laws wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely fantastic!!! The hostess and waiter were extremely nice and gave us a dessert for free. It’s nice to see that 15 years later the food is still excellent and very reasonably priced. Well done!!!

They're being thorough and careful with COVID procedures. Took my temperature before seating me. Manager inspected the restroom himself multiple times when I was there even though the dining room was sparse for lunch. Service was pleasant, prompt, and attentive without being pushy. Came here for the chicken parm and was not disappointed. Spaghetti cooked perfectly and tossed in the pan with sauce you can tell. Cutlet was tender and outside was crispy. Good cheese ratio and sauce was really good. I'll be back.

An unexpected surprise. We were going to another restaurant but it was closed on Mondays. We happened on this place. OMG, IT'S GREAT. We got a full dinner menu for a fixed lunch price for $13.95!!! The food is top notch! The service was impecable! The atmosphere was 1st class! You must come here.

Enjoyed Easter dinnner at Nino's. I had the Frutti di Mare. Excellent mix of seafood with shrimps, octopus, squid and scungilli. Rabbit cacciatore was delicious and I wish I had the recipe. I had the best Tortoni ever for dessert. Service was excellent.

There are many good things I can say about this restaurant but the service and food was excellent. I really enjoyed the traditional Italian American atmosphere of the restaurant and service which starts the moment you walk in. I loved the Calamari Agrodolce off the specials and later on the Chicken Scarpariello for my main course. Our waiter for the night was Hagi, he was very well spoken and attentive. To end the night, the tiramisu made in house was wonderful!

My Son got sick from school with a bad Virus I was heartbroken. To cancel the party was the only way and the Manager was so understanding and helpful. Today I celebrated one of my best friend’s birthdays at Nino’s over lunch. We started with their goat cheese & walnut salad and grilled portobello with gorgonzola. I love this place, i always thought this place was one of the best. I have king Covid so almost everything smelled and tasted rotten for a few years now. I ended up getting fettuccini Alfredo to see if i would have some luck, since lately I’ve been able to try more things thankfully. It was pretty good thank God. When I’ve had it here before going through long Covid, it was delicious of course. I also got baked ziti and minestrone soup to try. Then there were dishes that others from the family got. It was all exceptional, like always. The staff were great there. I had a créeme brûlée for dessert such was also good, surprisingly, because i haven’t been able to eat anything sweet for a long time, i love this place and am so happy that I’m finally able to eat normal things again little by little, this place is highly recommended by me

My fiance took me here and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The appetizer was yummy it was a mozzarella square I forgot the name of it but it was outstanding. The mushroom risotto was to die for it was so good. My fiance ordered that dish and I couldn't help it but eat from his plate. The service overall was excellent. The waiter was fantastic. Attended an 80th Birthday party on a Sunday afternoon with about 30 people. Nino's was very accommodating. Valet parking is available and there is also neighborhood street parking. Restaurant is a little dated inside, but clean, the service was good, and the food was very tasty.

Party was very nice and there was an abundance of food. My only complaint was the baked clams each of us were served. I ate one and immediately wanted to not swallow it. I kept quiet and didn’t eat the rest. The texture and taste was off. When my friends and I left they each told me the clams were horrible. We jokingly said we will see if they were bad if we all end up at the ER. Thank God that wasn’t the case.

The food is fantastic, as I ordered the Angus Steak that was juicy and cooked perfectly! My fiance had the Salmon & was grilled to perfection. The staff is very attentive and the wine is very good! I would have given 5 stars, but our appetizer was disappointing as we were given 3 large pieces and we were shorted one piece & the portions were quite smaller but we still paid full price.

Went there twice. The food was pretty good each time. Pricing is fair for its portions. Nice wine selection. Service attentive and professional. The only thing is that as someone who grew up in Brooklyn who grew up with good Italian food, it's hard to say this is outstanding compared to so many other Italian restaurants in the city. My family and I came here for dinner just this evening. We made dinner reservations for 5, but when we got there they had us down for 4. We eventually get seated in the outdoor part of the restaurant which was rather nice, however the menus took forever to come. When our entrees came they served everyone else but me, which is restaurant etiquette 101 where you serve everyone at the same time. They had me wait an extra 10 mins for my plate. Overall the food was just OK, I've had much better Italian food in several other places.

This was our first time eating dinner at Nino's... The minute we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us they had a party coming into the dining area and we would have to move our seating..we were hungry and decided to attempt this seating arrangement..We had to move our seats due to a loud party in the next room...that was the 1st move....We finally started eating our dinner and were told it was time to move into the dining room to finish our meal...3rd move..the waiter picked up our half eaten food with there bare hands and no gloves.. This was the 3rd time we were moved because they had booked a party!!!!! I found this to be unacceptable as a paying customer...I went there to relax and have a quiet n8ce dinner....but instead my husband and I played musical chairs!! Lost our waiter and no one checked on us..The owner offered us a free cup of coffee and thought this was going to make everything better!@I guess paying customers don't matter to them. They also moved other people..not a good experience and won't be returning for dinner anytime soon..Food was mediocre..Buyer beware!

I ordered the calamari, hoping for a delicious start to my meal, but it was a huge disappointment. The batter was too thin and soggy, lacking the crispiness you’d expect. Worse, the calamari itself had a noticeable, off-putting stench that I couldn’t ignore. Honestly, I’ve had better calamari at Olive Garden, which is saying a lot for an Italian restaurant. For the price and reputation, I expected much fresher, better-prepared seafood.

Been coming here for a few of the years now I feel the food has changed. Last night was the last time I'll be coming. I came out with my uncle because he likes this restaurant. We ordered baked clams. They were overdone burnt bread crumbs, fried galamad asked for crispy instead, we got very thin pieces that were hard and dried out. I ordered chicken sorrentino. It used to be in a brown sauce close to a marsala flavor. Now it's some sour lemony brown sauce with rubbery prosciutto which I usually ask them not to put on and I forgot yesterday. My uncle had a side dish of pasta with garlic and oil. They had to be about 45 pieces of garlic and swimming in oil. He liked it. I thought it was ridiculous. I didn't want to complain because my uncle was taking us out and I didn't want him to get embarrassed but I'm not coming back. The service was okay. Our waiter didn't really check on us. He was very busy with regulars. I do miss Jeff. He was the best waiter we ever had. Since he's been gone I feel everything has changed even the food.

came for a pharmaceutical event, was "greeted" by an extremely rude bus boy manager who declared himself the owner of the place, demanded me to hand him my car keys; since I had a lot of sports gear and valuables in the vehicle I explained that I prefer to park the car myself (there was plenty of room in the parking lot) and was told that it was not the option, this male then blocked my way so i could not even exit the parking lot and park in the street (there was plenty of room there as well), letting other cars block me from exiting, told me that he would allow me to park eventually, adding, "She thinks she is driving a maserati," when i was entering the building with 2 other companions, this male opened the door to us and added, "Do not come to this restaurant." We turned around and left. I suggest to others not even to venture, especially this is a disgusting location, just look across the street if you happen to be in the area Good luck with running your business

We were first seated in their side “party” room, next to a long table with a rowdy group of folks celebrating something. Nothing wrong with celebrations, and if you are out on a Saturday night, you should expect more people and probably a higher decibel level. But not being able to hear one another at all is not acceptable on any night. So we asked to be reseated. No problem with.this aside from the 25 minute wait for another table. The food was on the lousy side of mediocre. The breading on the chicken Sorrentino had fallen off, and the prosciutto, eggplant and mozzarella were haphazardly strewn on top of the chicken, making the whole entree look like a trifle cake. The “sauce” was commercial Demi-glacé mix with a touch of marinara. I could have done without it. The sides were lukewarm and had that stale, reheated taste. The service was friendly, but I had to play airport ground traffic guide, waving my hands in the air before our waitperson noticed. At the end of the meal, she was nowhere to be found and I had to find a manager to ask for the check. This would have been a great moment for a thief of service to just get up and leave, but I always pay, even if the food and service were sub par, as they were at Nino’s. Not on my list of places to return to.

I ordered from this restaurant to satisfy a risotto craving. What I received was completely uncooked, crispy rice. It was completely inedible, I had to throw it away. I called to let them know and the person on the phone was nice but I never received a credit. I’ll stick to Danoi

The hostess just passed by without an acknowledgment, and we waited for her return for about five minutes. We finally seated ourselves. The waiter came after a long period of time, and he seemed either annoyed or overwhelmed even though the restaurant was almost empty. When other diners arrived, the waiter was much more attentive. I think they were regulars. The owner is a nice person, but we get the same results concerning service. He may have problems hiring staff. We continue to go because my cousin knows the owner. We never go unless it is her pick. The food is good, but not so good to overcome the horrible service.

Ordered a half tray of fried calamari for Christmas Eve. First off The tray was not completely filled. The calamari had a fishy smell and was quite oily and rubbery. And they didn’t even send any Lemon with it. Some fell on the floor and even my dog sniffed it and walked away, and he usually eats anything we drop ! My company tonight was very disappointed, never going back there again.

***False advertisement and dishonest business!!!*** The New Zealand lamb chops dish is for a whole rack of lamb as described on their menu. It shows a rack of lamb could cut into 8 pieces in their FB page video, but I only received 5 pieces which is almost 40% less. Google any pictures of rack of lamb and most of them would show around 8 ribs. Also, they are not cut from a rack, but just pan seared. Very disappointed on this local restaurant with the price that I am paying. Left a message on their page but no response. Terrible experience with ordering from this restaurant and probably never again.
