The food is great. They have a korean BBQ grill, sushi, and everything you want at the Chinese food buffet side. I've never seen anywhere else where you can get a whole steak grilled at the K-BBQ section. The place is very nice inside. The wait staff is very attentive, and the cooks are fun. This is the kind of place you come for the food, but it's the staff that keeps you coming back.
The food at this restaurant in Sacramento was and is very good, well cooked, a vast variety of dishes, that would make your mouth water. Very good flavor in whatever you decide to try. The place was so crowded that you will actually find it ridiculous, but it's worth the wait.
Probably the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the variety is impressive and you honestly cannot beat the price. I hope they stay in business for a long time as the economy can use these types of restaurants. I recommend the Mongolian bbq section, soups and jello!
I’ve been to many Asian inspired buffets but this is definitely top tier. Things I liked: 1) very very clean, like shiny clean walls and floors and countertops etc 2) excellent bbq for noodles and all 3) waiters are great (speak amazing mandarin too!) 4) not loud or out of context , well kept and cordial establishment 5) very organized Will return, especially since it’s 15$!
When looking for a place to get great buffet meals at a good price this place is worth checking out. Plenty of seating an if coming with a huge crowd of people there is seating to accommodate them too. Sorry no alcohol served here but have many othet drinks upon your seating an unlimited refills and of course of different types of items of foods types to decide if pick meats and noodles yoir style to be cook your way by staff on hand and to your preference. Give this place change. Friendly customer service. Im sure there will be something to eat even for those picky people to eat.
Food is great atmosphere and also the worker only inside and not the cashier in the front. They are so ungrateful, didn't even say single hi to their costumer. And worse the young women didn't even asked us how many of us or we ready she just walk inside and ignore us same with the young guy with her. That's how we experience right today
Have a nice meal here with my family. There was something for everyone. My daughter really liked the coconut shrimp and I liked the ribs. There's a ton of variety. We will definitely be going back.
If we want to eat seafoods we will visit yum buffet. It has lots of selection, affordable and warm freshly cooked food. Staff are okay just feel rushed last visit. my wife is slow eater and she is on her first plate when the waitress gave the bill. 25-30 mins (maybe their protocol) and there is a lot of vacant seats. We are small asian people and consume less and we eat slow. We went out full satisfied 45-50mins approx. gave the waitresses a tip and she she looks happy.
I was impressed by the variety of food that was available here, from popular Asian dishes to sushi and a Mongolian grill. I went for the seafood but found that to be slightly disappointing, the crab was a bit dry and some of the shrimp was overcooked until it was a paste, but the cleaner and mussels were great. The dessert bar leaves a bit to be desired, so you don't come here for that, and although it's a buffet they charge a dollar for ice cream. But overall for the price this was a great meal and there is no way you can try everything, so I'll be back to have what I missed, maybe a few times. The service was friendly and great.
Haven't been here since pre-CVD so about five years ago! Prices have gone up but not significantly which was surprising. I think it was $12.99 or so when I last ate here. Now it's $14.99 Mon to Sat for lunch which is pretty good considering that at any other sit down restaurant, 1 dish would set you back $15 or more. There were 8 of us total with 4 being (very obviously over 65 y.o.) seniors and 2 adults and 1 kid over 12 and 1 under 12 and they missed 2 of the seniors. When my in laws pointed that out, they said if you don't ask, they don't apply the senior discount, so that's why they only included my in laws bc we asked them if they still do the senior discount while we were waiting for my parents to arrive. So they only counted my in-laws. Anyways, the lady ended up giving $3 cash back to my Mil for the 10% discounts for my parents, it's really not much just $1.49 a senior. The food was pretty good and plentiful, lots of variety. I had a lot of sushi rolls and nigiri. My kids liked the Mongolian grill the best, but they also enjoyed the sushi and dessert sections. The hot Chinese food section was pretty decent. You can see my fil was in buffet heaven as he's usually very restricted in his diet, he loaded up his plate like there's no tomorrow. We all did pretty good and enjoyed the food. I thought the variety was really quite extensive. The flan was better than home made ones I've had so that was notable, also the kiwi and pineapples were both good and I don't often have those fruits so I had some for the VitC 😆. Overall, it was good and it was nice that even on a Saturday being on the weekend after Thanksgiving for lunchtime, it was still the same as weekday lunch rate. Dinner is more, but we'd not come after dark here anyways as it's not the safest area and it's best not to eat that much in the evening.
We had a party over 20 ppl for dinner reserved ahead. We got a shared room with other families. There was plenty of food to choose. The mongolian bbq station was very busy but I got my delicious plate. I do need to point out the mongolian bbq station they do scrap off the excess after they cook but its not thoroughly clean so u can still taste the previous persons dish. The waitress was great and came back often to clear the plates and refill drinks. I gave 3 stars bc there was no AC in the room we were seated. They did have one but it kept going on and off and when it was on the cool air it gave off had a bad smell. The seats are very tight-Meaning the tables are not spaced enough so if u try to get up ur seat will hit into the person sitting next & behind u. The women restroom was not clean at all. The toilet seat had #2 smudge on seat and the outside. One of the 4 bathroom stall door didnt lock. The sink to wash hands had old mold build up. If you just looking for a place to feed a big group n leave, this would do.
Mediocre at best. Price is okay. Food is okay. Nothing special. Most of the food taste the same because of the sauces used. It's like Asian food catered to Americans, didn't go well. Nice to try but most likely will not go back.
Quality mostly good. Almost all the hot prepared foods were on the salty side, and with some kind of sauce. Good: shrimp & veg, green beans, Teriyaki chicken (was labeled as fried shrimp), fried calamari, mushrooms from beef w/black bean sauce (but not the beef- was tough and chewy), and rice noodles. Ok: baked fish, chili chicken. Shu Mai. Grilled chicken. Pass: pork chop- good favor but lots of fat& gristle; Didn't try: hibachi, Fried foods (incl those with a sauce), peel your own shrimp, salad bar, soups, desserts or sushi. Very busy even on a Th after 1pm, and very warm. Bathroom disgusting. Handicap stall in men's room, urine all over the floor. Service was excellent. They picked up used plates quickly. The traffic in this area is terrible. Was difficult getting there and out. Overall ok, but I prefer my place over at the Tracy mall.
Very busy, floor staff is friendly and helpful. Sushi staff not so much. The hot foods were refilled continuously, the Mongolian BBQ was well stocked. Would be great if they had water chestnuts. The sesame seed balls with red bean inside were really good. The Sui main dumplings were dense and had a lot of sesame seed oil. It was like they had been sitting there for a long while. The fruit was abundant, but not very sweet or ripe. They did have a lot of seafood items which is great for those that like seafood. The eel and shrimp sushi roll was good when a fresh batch came out. The ginger & wasabi was really good. The ice cream cups were good as well. Nice and creamy ice cream cups.
We went to celebrate youngen 13th birthday here and we were pretty deep so they put us in the side room, we had a good time the food was cool. The waitress thought we were going to run out, so that wasn't cool. We were over charged on 2 of our tickets she couldn't really get things right with us because she was so scared we were going to dine and dash. No!!! boo boo, that's not us. When we all paid she just kept thanking us. She was so weird.
A new experience. The price is good and food tastes good. In the beginning I had a good feeling for the first impression but it changed gradually. The reasons I didn’t like after 5 minutes 1. Hibachi guy burnt my food and didn’t even apologize. It was like eating charcoal. Our other dish was burnt too. There was another guys food on the plates that was smoking as well! This all happened after 20 minutes waiting. 2. The sushi bar had a good variety but the guy behind the counter was like I’m insulting them or something. For two times I asked where are the cooked sushi and he very vaguely waved his hand. When I looked in those areas I could visibly see the sushi was raw. SUSHI TASTED BAD! 3. I’m a seafood person and I love the smell but others with me were getting annoyed by strong smell of seafood. It would have been better for them to have a better ventilation so ppl can sit and relax enjoying their food. 4. Number of selections are less than any other similar places I’ve ever visited. On the good side, as I said, I love seafood and I really enjoyed their variety of items. All tasted delicious and if you love seafood too this is a good place. It’s more toward Chinese style rather than western or Americanized. It was a super busy restaurant which is a good sign that the food is fresh and nothing is left over.
First time being back to this buffet for a nephew birthday. Place is nice and has plenty of room. Foods was great and has sushis choices. It has a Mongolian beef area for you to cook with your options choices. Although I find line little long since all foods against the wall so you kind of have to be in the moving line to get the foods. Compare to NO. 1 buffet, this place has much less for the same price. Service was great and friendly.
We visited for the first time on a Saturday. The place was PACKED and we waited about 25 mins. Way to many people waiting and although the inside is pretty big, it was packed inside too. We went to the sushi bar and I grabbed one of the prongs and noticed my daughter needed help so I stepped a few steps over to help and one of the workers got me in trouble for taking the prong with me. I mentioned that I was helping and I was also not done grabbing sushi and he told me to put the prong down. That was very upsetting. I have to say that everything that I tasted was very good and I would go back but maybe not on a weekend! The restaurant got way to full and when you wanted to go back for one thing the people wouldn't let you get through to grab the food....they expected you to form at the very end of the line (VERY long line) to grab one item...maybe the way they position their food isn't very smart. We paid over $90 for 2 adults and 2 children.
I would have given a 5 stars but due to customer service. The food was awesome and pretty clean place. Only thing I didn't like was she didn't understand what ask of her. My friend complained at end when we found out the drinks was not included in the buffet price. If wasn't included, we would had order water. The manager step in told us the "they will take it off but the waitress will have pay for our drinks out her pocket". That's where I didn't like. Do not tell us about what you will do later, that's not our problem. If your waitress has to pay for her mistake, it should be between you and her. 😡That's was very unprofessional of the manager. I have noticed that Asian restaurants do not like to take responsibility of a mistakes was done but will have the employee pay for the mistakes. This has been done in front before. I found it to be rude and unprofessional. I highly dislike it. 😠 Do I recommend this place? Yes, the food great but make sure that person who is serving you understand what you asking. Would I go back maybe not, the way the manager handle things. The manager didn't even apologize for inconvenience. 🧐 It's like they don't care if they loss customers. Oh, by the way, this was our FIRST time trying this place and this what we got. 🤨
Went here on a Tuesday nearly 5pm dinner time. Since dinner starts after 3:30 pm you would expect everything here is fresh but the food looks over cooked or it's been sitting there all day. It was my mistake! I should of went to fuji buffet since we were in elk grove. But I had to try somewhere new since to give it a try and prices here was cheaper than fuji.
Food is over rated. Who ever is posting 4 to five star reviews is not being transparent. I highly advise you to check the quality of raw fish being used here, its farmed, not wild and provides no real nutritional value but rather higher health risk. The sea food such as salmon, tuna, and other fish used in sushi rolls is of poor qualify. Deep fried crab and shrimp is over cooked ans very difficult to consume. The price of food is reasonable but considering the quality of food its definitely not for me. I have a passion for food, this restaurant will fill you up, if you have medical issues with your stomach, I recommend you try elsewhere.
