whenever I come here the owner remembers me and is very kind. this has been my favorite place since I was little. sometimes the food isn't the best, but its obvious they try, and care, and that is what matters. because most of the time, 9 times out of 10, the food IS great. I love them.

This is our second time ordering DoorDash from Lin's. Everything we've received has been so good! Always arrives hot and fresh. If you like a bit of spice, try the szechuan anything! You'll never regret it. Please consider adding delivery service from the restaurant!

This is your average Chinese buffet and actually tops en en in corning and ties or comes pretty close to he other ones you have to drive to over in Sayre. If you're in horseheads you really can't beat the value! Polite and gracious staff. Kids said they had the best chicken nuggets they ever tasted. The pineapple cake was a highlight for me :)

Love love love this place! I usually get the same server and they take care of us well. The only thing I would change is maybe more syrup for the soft drinks. The fruit punch is basically light red water and soda is over carbonated. Besides that, everything else is perfect

It was way more than I ever expected and I loved every bit of it the food the price and the people.

Almost every time I have come here over the past 25 years, the food has been amazing, the staff very kind and keep your plates picked up, and drinks refilled. I had a complaint today, along with maybe 4 other times in all these years. I have never voiced the complaint, until today. Several things were cold. After I nicely said something to the gentleman at the register, he offered to make me a separate dish of whatever I wanted. I thanked him, and kindly refused, stating I just wanted them to know, so they didn't have a lot of complaints. I went back to my table, still feeling bad I had said anything, since they had always been so good. About 15 minutes later, he came to our table and said he had spoken to his boss, and handed us a gift certificate for 2 free meals. They are very nice, food is almost always on point. Just wanted to say I appreciate the care given. It doesn't happen like that most of the time. Thank you for caring about your customers!! ❤️

I was absolutely delighted with my visit to Lin Buffet! The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all so incredibly delicious that I want to come back again and again. The selection of dishes is impressive, and everyone can find something they'll love. But what made our visit truly unforgettable was the service. The staff are true professionals. They're always smiling, ready to help, and do everything to make your time at the restaurant as comfortable as possible. You rarely find this level of service. I highly recommend it!

Three of us went here for Sunday night dinner. Around $50. Big buffet, a lot of options. Plenty of seats and parking. The service was great. My daughter was struggling with chopsticks so the server made her one to use. The food was good. Shrimp, noodles and rice. Tasty!

Weekday Dinner Cost: $17 Recommended: Green Beans, Hibachi grill (you can request egg). You pay upfront and then get seated immediately. The grill chef here does an awesome job, he cooked everything perfectly. I love garlic green beans and they also make the green beans very tasty. 5/5 good value Chinese buffet with fresh tasty food.

I always love the food here. You pay before you are seated, which takes the worry out of if you have enough, and you can add the tip right there at the register. You can get a lot or a little and the wait staff are attentive without being intruding. The atmosphere is lovely with cultural pictures all around, and it is always fun to see the statues in the lobby.

The people here are very warm and inviting. They always have good food amd we have never been disappointed with the selection. My favorites are always the sweet and sour chicken and General tso. The have a great salad bar and also a dessert bar. Check out the soldiers in the lobby. Very cool. We went at 8 pm tonight and they were still bringing out freshly cooked food.

9.19 for lunch per person and 11.55 includes all drinks unlike Country Buffet. I love this place its not perfect but service is great, and very clean. OCB we almost got sat at a dirty table and had a Vet friend with us. They cleaned ot 20 to thirty minutes later. Lin they ask to take dishes when ever you are done with them.

I absolutely love Lin Buffet, but there's a few drawbacks, as you'll likely see from other reviews, so let's get into this. Their take out is SUBSTANTIALLY and CONSISTENTLY better quality than their dine in, they have good options, the portions are huge, and the food is great. However their dine in, it's almost a gamble as to whether or not you'll have good food, and there have been times where there's been a pushy waiter or waitress. When you get in there at the right time, most food is fresh, well prepared, and it can be an amazing experience. However the "right time" isn't some magic hour frame that I can tell you, I've had my best luck around rush hours (think in and around when most other people would be out and they would be busiest). When it's good, it's great, when it's bad, it can be quite horrible. I still go in from time to time attempting to hit those magic hours, but for the most part I stick to the take out, as personally I find it to be one of the best options around here for this type of food for both quality and safety as food poisoning is a common issue with a fair number of restaurants in this area.

Everything was delicious. Certain things could've been refreshed, but that happens with a buffet! Other than that, the service is always amazing there as long as you leave a tip at the desk when you pay for your meal.

The front host was very welcoming and friendly. Sat us right away after paying. The waitress came over very quickly and asked for our drink order and brought them out quickly. Allot of room and clean dining/food area. All the different foods I tried were good. My only suggestion would be a better ice cream bar area and more flavor needed in the steamed and fried foods. I would highly recommend coming. Around 14 dollars a person for all you can eat and drink is not bad especially with all of tge options offered. I'm very happy they offered lemonade for my son!!

Today's visit was extra good.. hot egg rolls. Juicy chicken on a stick..and great Italian sausage..everything else average overall a good experience. Kids love the ice cream. Adults enjoyed the fresh fruit

We have been going to Lin Buffet for years. It's your classic Chinese buffet. Large dinning areas and plenty of choices of entrées to choose from. The staff is courteous and friendly.

$14 for a lunch buffet is really good, which includes drinks as well. They also have wok. Some unruly customers won't wear gloves while taking food. Surprisingly butter potato was great. Dry sushi though. Carry out buffet is $7/lb

My husband and step son insist we visit anytime we're in town. The food is fair and well-managed. Constantly being switched out or stirred. However, the bathroom has been a safety hazard for years. The floor is always wet. I'm pregnant and was very scared of slipping. I turned the water on to wash my hands and water sprayed everywhere from the underneath pipe. They know there is an issue bc they have a wet floor sign and a fan but refuse to fix it.

It was definitely greasy and lukewarm but it still tastes like Chinese. The table me and my family were sitting at was very drafty. I don't know maybe it was a bad day but for this visit I'm giving three stars

Staff was wonderful and food was okay-good depending on what you got but I've gone there lots and lots of times but this was the first time since covid-19 hit that I've been there and I understand times are hard but their variety has dwindled and the food was... dry. They have definitely had better days. The reason for it may be that we went at a slow time so stuff had probably sat for a while but it doesn't dismiss their lack of choices. I go for the Chinese part of the buffet but half of what they have out is pure American. Not the experience I remember.

I travel and have been to many Lin Buffets and this one was just average. The food was not bad but was overall bland with not much flavor. I'm still happy that we came and got a full belly.

The wife and I went for lunch on Saturday 4/26/25. The buffet was full as usual. The downside. Wonton soup was lukewarm. The black pepper chicken was also lukewarm. The tables around us were saying the same thing. Other items and other diners were saying the same thing One couple did talk to the gentleman at the register about the temperature of the food. He just said no it's hot.No, it's Luke Warm. Probably be a while before we return. We loved making the hour and 20 minutes drive. Just to eat here.

It's a very quiet place, smaller then what I'm used to. Most of the food was fried, in noodles, or rice. I can't eat that stuff so it makes it difficult for me. I did get some crab meat, and baby clams tho.

Very pedestrian Chinese buffet experience. The amount of choices was adequate but notably less than many bigger cities’ buffets. I sampled almost everything, and there wasn’t a single dish that I tried that was tasteless or bad. Virtually everyone was edible, but mediocre tasting. My favorite dish was the chicken and broccoli combo, which features huge pieces of stir-fried chicken with broccoli pieces mixed with a semi-sweet auburn-colored sauce. I liked the soft drinks and coffee/tea were included in the price of the meal ($15.49 weeknight) in unlimited quantities. It would be nice to see the staff smile once or twice, however.

Basic buffet food usually cold with absolutely zero effort put into their "sushi". Waitressing is below average you're better off getting your own refills. Going for lunch here isn't worth almost 9$, but they have more room temperate food to choose from for dinner.

We went there back I'm the summer, my husband 2 kids and father in law. As we were getting ready to get up to leave the waitress kept pushing the little tray towards us to leave a tip and even said "Tip. You leave a tip " we were not quite at that point yet to leave a tip. That honestly made me very bitter. So we did not leave a tip. We have not been there since, until we went back this evening. The same thing happened again and she not only did it to just me but also my husband, father in law and sister in-law. Very persistent in getting a tip. Once again we did not leave a tip due to being pushy. And we will not be going back. The food is amazing. We enjoy the food. And we would not mind leaving a tip, but when it is expected and is made out that you "need it" you will not get one. A tip is earned, not required.

Honestly I enjoy eating there, foods always out, they keep it clean and pretty well spaced. My issue is that two times I went there and the waitress both times asked for a tip😂 so I wrote a note saying don't ask for tip. Still left one. Second time I didn't. Now I come back and sit in the back just to have the staff hovering and staring at me. Then an employee comes one table over with spoons and starts jiggling them around smh mind you I have sat in the back before and didn't experience the weirdness that happened tonight.

Lunch was over $27 for 2 people. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean, but the food was not fresh. The quality of the food was way down from other times I have eaten there.

We got there around 5:30 on a Monday, thinking the food would be more hit and fresh at supper time... nope. Selection was good but most of what we tried had obviously been sitting for a while. Tried the Mongolian grill and the beef was tough as leather and the food was bland(The cook put WAY too much water on the food to steam it, thus diluting the soy sauce and sesame sauce he had sparingly added). Can't really name anything that met our expectation and was worth the $10/person we paid. Should've done takeout.

3 of us went to dinner at 6pm, it cost us $41, and everything was dried up, greasy and tasted terrible. Staff was very nice and accommodating that's why I gave them any stars. I really wouldn't feed it to anybody. I am praying they were just having a really really bad day. After today I do not reccomend.

Been here a few times and officially done. The food is always bad, cold, slimy, place is dirty. Waitress hovers and demands tips. I always tip but they will stand close to your table, rush you and try to not let you leave unless you tip them. It's very rude and unprofessional. Left tip on tbe receipt once and the Waitress demanded a cash tip when we were leaving. Another time left a tip and she demanded more and followed us to the door. Do not recommend

Food was fabulous, as usual. The server that we had was our "regular" server. She has never not received a decent tip from us and has never made us feel as though she were "rushing" us until our most recent visit. Restaurant was pretty empty. Nobody waiting for a table and plenty of empty seats. She kept staring at us as though she were in a hurry to get us out the door. Brought the little check tray with the fortune cookies on it while we were up getting food. She then kept coming back to the table and telling us to "put tip on tray" in a demanding way. I seriously considered writing a "tip" on a piece of paper telling her that demanding a tip and rushing patrons of the restaurant will, more often than not, guarantee NO tip and losing patrons. I still put the same amount of tip that I usually do, which was half of the bill, and left. We, unfortunately, will not be returning there for a while, if at all.

The food wasn't that great. I'm from Long Island and I came here not that long after moving here and my boyfriend took me here. We paid before we sat down which I thought was kinda odd but that's fine. We left the waitress her tip on our bill before we sat down. And when we were done she put down a tray with fortune cookies and asked us for a tip. We said we left her one on our bill. She wasn't too happy about this and kept staring at my boyfriend at kept tapping the tray and kept saying "put my tip here". We got kinda nervous and just laughed it off but then we left quick after that. My boyfriend likes this place but I don't! I'll never willingly go here unless someone else is paying and the only thing I'll get is the frozen yogurt.

Been coming here for long time with groups as an driver, today prob be last time, as they charge the driver for my meal and comp the tour guide. Usually driver and tour guide get to eat for free especially when you bring an large group. Very disappointing for sure. The owner sure forgets who brings him business!!!

The server kept asking for us to leave a tip the minute we sat down. He would walk past us and ask for a “good tip.” The food was alright and the overall atmosphere of the place felt off.

I have gone here so many times and loved it here, but after yesterday, I won't be returning there. We went as a party of 4 and everything was fine great service and food as we were getting ready to leave the server that had taken our plates from the table stop us and demand a tip which we informed him multiple times we had left it on the card. It got to the point that he wanted us to go back up front and make sure we did in deed leave one. I got so upset with the guy we just walked out. As we walked out, he followed us out the door like we crimeals. I refuse to go back after that.... it's not good customer service. I have never been asked for a tip before, and we always leave one. Don't plan on returning. Food is always the same and not very good. Kids love it, but only because they can get all you can eat Jello and fries. Very nice staff there, I wish they would put more effort into their food. You can get good Chinese at a number of places nowadays. Hope they change.

Been here twice from different tour groups, didn't realize it until I got inside. It's was really bad 👎 no taste and had found a bug in the fried rice. Would not recommend it to anyone. Better off going next door to subway. We were charged 25 US per person.

So this is a place my family and I go quite often. But after the very last time I probably will not come anymore. There was a younger woman who is only a hostess/buss girl. I was there with my sister and brother with their 2 kids. We chose a booth. We went to leave and apparently what we had left for a tip wasnt enough for only getting us 1 set of drinks and cleaning 1 set off our table... this buss girl trapped me off in a booth with my nephew and said she wanted more tip. She literally mde it so i could not move out of the booth with my 6 year old nephew trapped inside. She insisted i take the money out of my wallet and leave it for her(literally pointed and circled her finger where my change was and said "i take this") She stood over me gawlking into my wallet. I had to leave her change because whatever money my brother had left apparently wasnt enough. It was hard because they took me out for dinner and usually a couple of dollars is sufficient especially considering she did not serve us anything but one set of drinks. We left her money and she harassed me to give her everything in my wallet. I will NEVER be trapped in a situation like that with my nephews or any other child involved again! & to also add I WILL NOT be harassed into having a person peer into my wallet from above me and try to intimidate us again. How uncomfortable!!!! My brother ended up opening his wallet and took out his last dollar after already giving her her tip. So she got her tip, all of my change, and even my brothers last dollar after we paid with card!!!!!!! Never ever again. Its not fair to do that to customers! At that point that girl didnt deserve a dime from us. Unprofessional. Hopefully one day she'll be caught making people nervous and uncomfortable. It was embarrassing.

Be prepared to have food that tastes like it's been in a refrigerator for weeks, spoiled food, cinnamon In the egg rolls & cinnamon in fried chicken wings, rotten soft shrimp mixed in with fresh cold shrimp, spoiled sour tasting coconut shrimp. Sushi rolls we're not fresh and tasted like old refrigerator and crab meat in them was grey color, cakes and cookies tasted like old refrigerator. Unfortunately we won't eat there again. We crossed are fingers we wouldn't get sick after continuing to eat the food. So disappointing to spend all the money to eat out and its not good food. Also a woman employee left the bathroom without washing her hands. 🤢 A long walk down a hall to the back of the building is the bathroom, its kinda creepy. Definitely don't let children go to the bathrooms alone as you can't see them from the dinning area. Take your cell phone with you bc hey it's creepy and dirty.

My Fiancé and I were there a week ago and it was like -3 outside and when we got inside and took our coats off we had to put them back on cause it was very cool inside. Then when we got our food it was even cold and tough to eat cause it was even cold. Wes said something to the hostess and all she did was laughed and said yeah kinda cool in here.

I always make sure to tip. Today it completely slipped my mind and then was harassed into leaving a tip. I wish I was a more confrontational person because im that situation if you are harassing someone for a tip you don’t deserve a tip.

These waiters aren't even waiters. They do the same thing as a busser does. We go get our own food food . So what makes you think you deserve to harass someone for a tip ? Keep in mind we always tip sometimes cash sometimes on card. But if you ask me for a tip you absolutely will not get one. It makes you look thirsty & broke. It's not a good look for a restaurant to have people representing your business harassing your customers who pay essentially pay your bills all for a tip. The service is good and the servers are nice but the food is terrible. The sushi is blunt and disgusting and the chicken & desserts are dry, the only good thing was the Mac and cheese. The bathrooms were kinda clean but it was clear some people stomachs were hurting cuz that bathroom SMELLED like diarrhea. Anyway when we got back to the hotel our stomach hurt. Plus there’s a small food choice so you really don’t have much of a choice. Btw you have to pay before you eat so for three people we paid $53. (Not worth it overall 2/10)

They now automatically take an 18% tip for doing little to nothing when a large family comes in. If they took the orders and brought the food to the table like other restaurants then I would understand. Self service buffets have no right to demand let alone automatically force a tip!

First time going there and food was ok for a buffet. Server brought us drinks and silverware. We used the restroom and got another order to take out and never went back to our table. As paying for the takeout looked for a tip jar then our server (who knew very little English) was staring at me and pointed to our table and said tip. I was shocked and gave her a 5. I've been here more than a few times and I've never had any issues but after this last time I will not be returning. My boyfriend and I were on a double date with my cousin and his girlfriend, one of my friends. We had the same waitress my boyfriend and I had that previous week. No issues. When the 4 of us were there last night, the waitress would not stop staring at us, she was watching our every move and for no reason at all. Her eyes never left our table. Not once. It was uncomfortable, unpressional, uncalled for and just straight up rude. Right there we weren't very pleased. And then just as we were getting ready to leave she comes over and asks for a tip, now normally I would give a tip had we not been stared down during our entire dinner. She walked away and we got up. Our boyfriends had already been at the door waiting for us. My friend and I were just getting out of the booth when she came over again. We still had not left a tip. When she noticed the empty tray, she started tap the tray repeatedly. She then started to crowd my friend in. She would not let her out of the booth. She started demanding a tip from her because we didn't leave one. She kept her in the booth for a good 3 minutes at least, demanding a tip. I slowly started to walk away, waiting to see if she'd let my friend out. She did not let my friend out until she started seeing my boyfriend start back up the isle because he noticed that we weren't right behind them like they thought. For that reason. I will not be returning here. That was the worse customer service experience I have ever had.

I have given this place three chances and eaten there three distinctly different times of the year. I have eaten with multiple groups of people. We all felt rushed and pushed out as fast as we sat down. On this latest trip we showed up at 7:30 and closing is at 9 pm. Within 25 minutes we were given our cookies on the check tray to leave. I was barely done with my first plate of food. And speaking of that the food was completely dried out and overly sugary or salty. Overall the food was all completely old and you could see the lines where the soup had been on the heat all day long and had evaporated down at least a gallon. For three people eating at $45 plus tax, I don't expect them to start shutting down the bar at 8:30pm. Overall it was a terrible trip this most recent time which is even worse than the other two times I went previously and got sick on their food. Just skip this place and spend fifty bucks on a KFC bucket meal or $50 on Chinese takeout food and you'll have fresh food and plenty of it.

I was embarresed, i have not spent time with my son in 8 yrs took him here for lunch what a mistake. Everything was cold, why? Why is the food seem old like its left over that has been refrigerated? I did complain and got 2 free lunches even though i should had got my money back, i was not even there 20 min. I am scared to go back to this place. It was also amazing to watch other people woofing down on cold food, What is wrong with people. I feel traumatized from my experience at this place.

Foods fine, prices are a bit much. Adding to a later review. It's winter, we stopped in to warm up and eat. Those cheep suckeres have the thermostat set to 55 degrees. It's so cold in there people are all wearing coats. I couldn't wait to leave.

I'll admit, I was impressed by the amount of people that were in the Buffet and I could actually see STEAM coming off the food which was exciting for me (My local buffets barely have the food warm sometimes and sometimes they just don't even really have the warmers on at all). My major RED FLAG was while I was trying to eat (the crab rangoons were unbearably salty with a weird fishy aftertaste along with the spring noodles having this taste of aged egg and as of the noodles had been sitting in a container for a while, the only saving grace for me was the Sesame Balls and even then the dough was much thicker and gooey-er than any other I've had) I could see the Guy from the register go to the Hibachi (pretty sure it was a Hibachi) get some food for himself (mind you no one is running it which was another big bummer for me because I love Hibachis) and this man SNEEZES so loudly INTO HIS HAND/PALM, proceeds to pick up the plate of food with the same hand and hands it to another guy to take into the kitchen to cook for him. I have 4 Nurses in my family and I was already feeling ill as it was trying to eat some of the food there and I just wasn't sure if maybe I was overthinking it over the tastes and maybe I was just nervous and that was making me nauseous..... Nope.... Sure enough shortly after we left I ended up puking 4x and I'm not sure what/which of their food could have turned parts of my vomit looking like INK but now I'm still ill and nauseous from the food the next day. If you're fine with having food served in the same manner as the Elephants serving ice cream in Zootopia this is the place for you If you have any health issues that affects your immune system then stay as far away from here as possible. I don't want a business to go out but this is just not ok in the Restaurant business......

We drove over 40 minutes to eat here last night as we love this place and we normally love the service. Last night was going good like normal and the food was good. But when we went to leave the waitress told us we needed to leave a tip not suggest she’s straight up told us we needed to leave one. We already left one when we paid at the door because like I said we love this place and we normally love the service. WE ALWASY LEAVE ONE. My boyfriend let her know we already left one at the counter and she checked with the person at the counter as she followed us as we were trying to leave since you pay when you first enter. You are not allowed to ask or demand a tip!!! We already decided that we will be going back because we do love this place but we will be checking to see if that waitress is there and if she is we are walking out. Don’t worry they still got the tip that was still charged to my account as I just wanted to get out of there since there were three other families besides mine and I didn’t want to make a scene like she was over a tip that we already gave.
