Excellent Thai food! Extensive menu. Lots of easy parking. Warning.. Spicy means spicy so don't be a hero lol get the medium spice level unless you are used to Thai hot.

Best Thai food I’ve had in Los Angeles. The Northern and Southern specialties are unique and delicious. I love the fresh spice condiments, too.

Been here several times. WARNING ⚠️ I eat super spicy, but if you ask for super spicy, it can kill you. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Tons of parking including handicap ♿️ Everything is very authentically Thai, nothing Thaish or fusion. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Try their purple rice, Delicious 😋

This restaurant definitely speaks upscale. Its dining area is exquisite, staff are friendly and welcoming. And its food? Oh man, dont get me started, its certainly worth every penny. It's also very easy to spot from a moving vehicle, parking space at the back, which is always convenient. When it comes to Thai Cuisine, Lum Ka Naad definitely got the playbook in their court. This place also boast a average pricing for their very tasty meals. The lighting in the dining area definitely helps adds a warm cozy feeling to the already beautiful setting of this restaurant. I would definitely rate this 5 stars for food quality and restaurant feel and design also gets a 5 star rating. And another 5 star to the wonderful team that works there. Five star everything, this place certainly deserves it. This is my second time visiting and I Definitely recommending this to a friend or colleague whether they are into Thai Cuisineor not into Thai Cuisine, this place got the magic to make them enjoy their time there while having their belly filled with delicious meal. And I definitely will revisit for another round of pure good finger licking Thai cuisine experience.

Drove by and saw the sign "southern and northern Thai food," I made a u turn and tried. It was worth the turn. They have a large menu and the employees are well knowledgeable of the dishes, even showing photos of what it looks like. Be direct and ask questions, so an appropriate choice is made. I had the drunken noodles with chicken (my go too and totally yummy there), fresh rolls (good), and banana leaf wrap chicken breast (northern dish). Great portions of food, tasty and would revisit. Very attentive staff. Clean facilities, free parking. Prices are about 12-18.99, but worth it.

Great ambiance, plenty of parking, outstanding service, tasty and spicy food, great lighting, comfortable booth seating! We had the Tom Kha soup, the Panang curry with shrimp, glass noodles, and Jasmine tea, all perfectly cooked! Johnny is an outstanding server, very pleasant and courteous. Highly recommend!!!

Very interesting and diverse and exotic menu. Definitely has more traditional Thai dishes, such as frog legs along with your typical standard usual fare seen here. The food was pretty good And I do appreciate the variety in the menu. Overall a solid Thai restaurant experience.per typically Thai food, it Is also very spicy.

Best Thai food I have ever had. They use spice as a flavor and do so very well. The menu is the most diverse and exquisite I have seen. Best diverse selections as well as American staples. Great accommodating service and unparalleled authenticity. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

First time having dinner here and it was pretty tasty definitely coming back again. Service was fast and welcoming. Food fresh and delicious. We ordered spicy shrimp soup and combination fried rice.

Good food is one thing. Consistently good is another, and Lum Ka Naad is consistent. The restaurant promises a palate full of flavor and employees who are all smiles. LKN is among the top eateries on Ventura Blvd, not just the best among Thai spots: LKN is a top contender among the entire Boulevard’s chain of food.

Wonderful authenticity. I was a little intimidated by the large menu, but thankfully every dish we ordered well exceeded my expectations. The standout dish was the beef noodle soup, I highly recommend it whether it is ordered spicy or mild. It's a rich and balanced taste that I've not found in other Thai restaurants. The other famous dishes, pad see ew and pineapple fried rice, were also distinctly tasteful. There were also a good selection of northern and southern Thai dishes I did not have the occasion to try, but I suspect they would not disappoint. Regarding value, I felt that each dish was enough for a single person. The price is about right for the portion, while the quality is very good. The service was attentive and quite courteous. Meanwhile the decor of the restaurant itself created a comfortable atmosphere. I would encourage anyone looking for a good night to come here.

This is one of the best thai restaurants that we have been to. We got the pad see ew, the beef noodle soup the crispy tofu and the chicken skewers. Everything was delicious and filling. The soup was tasty with a slightly sweet flavor. The chicken skewers were almost like candy with the honey dipping sauce. The pad see ew was good but it is very hard to mess this dish up.

Came in for a midday lunch and had the entire space to myself. I perused the extensive menu for longer than I normally would, and considered just about every option. I was impressed by the lunch special prices, each 13 dollars. The fried rice and cashew chicken won me over. The waiter was warm and attentive, chatting idly with me about the news as we waited for my food. It felt homey and relaxed, like the few people I saw working there barely thought of it as work, as if making me food was a happy incident of my stopping by. And it came out quickly, and it came out hot and carefully plated and it was delicious. Complex in flavor, sweet but not cloying, spicy but not painful, light but filling. A perfect, 5 star lunch.

Fancy Thai restaurant in every sense of the word. Location in Encino AND along Ventura Blvd. Spacious dining area. Subdued lighting. Classy hardwood interior, Uniformed servers. Serious about its cuisine that it distinguishes between Northern and Southern Thai dishes. The best feature of this restaurant? It's price. This place deserves no less than 5 stars.

Great place to have lunch. They have very affordable lunch specials that come with a bowl of Tom yum soup. It cost only 8.95 and it was so delicious. The amount of food and the price can't be beat. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if the lot is full but you can always find some street parking in and around the area. Overall great food, great service, and great prices.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Lum Ka Naad due to moving out of the Valley, but man did I miss this place. It’s one of the best Thai restaurants in the valley in my opinion. They have a HUGE menu, consisting of traditional Thai dishes, as well as “Asian Favorites” such as Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Shrimp. I ordered two of their most popular dishes, the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Of the two, the Pad See Ew was the clear winner. The noodles soaked in the delicious sauce and the broccoli had a nice garlic flavor. I finished this meal in record time it was so good! The Pad Thai was also very tasty. I’ve had Pad Thai’s in the past that are drenched in sauce and covered with peanuts, but this one had good consistency, and the crushed peanuts came on the side. The restaurant itself has a nice interior and is great for a party of 4 or more. I cannot wait to come back here and try more dishes! Definitely try this place if you are in the Valley and craving Thai.

The meal I didn't know I was missing! We ordered the golden basket which came out quickly but was probably the weakest link of the meal. For the main course we had the drunken noodle, green curry and combination fried rice. I was very impressed with the green curry! Everything was extremely fresh and flavourful! Definitely needed this meal.

I started going to this restaurant after it was recommended by some family friends. Little did I know this would quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. Alex, his wife and extended family really know how to run a restaurant. If there is something you want that isn’t on the menu, they will custom make your order. Want vegetarian or vegan options? Plenty of options. Food allergies? No problem. Alex and his family will treat you like family. When the lockdown was in effect, Alex had his delivery staff extend the delivery locations so his regulars could have food. They always included several extra dishes free of charge. Thank you, Alex and family for having a restaurant for every occasion- from celebrations, fo having a memorial dinner for a family member or just an afternoon meal or large snack. Tell them Cat sent you.

Service and food were good. I had the Beef Noodle Soup while while mild still was a tad spicy for my taste. The restroom was clean. My only minor complaint was that I could clearly hear the constant dinging of the online order system which I found intrusive. Other than that, the experience was fine.

I FINALLY made it to the Thai place that I've heard nothing but raves about. We were there fairly early on a Friday night and had ordered by 6.15 The food came fast and was very good. We had the calamari, egg rolls, pad see ew and I had to get panang curry. They only lose one star as they were close, but not quite, my favorite Thai food in the area. We will go back.

Very authentic with a nice variety of traditional dishes. The pad thai is good but a little bit bland. The flavor is not very distinctive but its fair. Service is fast and easy. Recommend parking in the back. Its a bit of a maze. The food is good not amazing but its a good option if your in a hurry.

Nice Thai restaurant. A bit pricey as compared to other restaurants in So Cal but I guess since its in Encino the cost of doing business is a little higher. The food was excellent. The Thai ice tea was passable though. The lunch specials and regular dishes are averagely priced. The lunch is $10.95 although I am not sure if it includes a drink.

Consistent, flavourful, excellent service. Very reaonably priced. Fsvorites include Pad Thai, Garlic Eggplant, Curries, especially Green Curry. The menu features many variations of noodles, meats, as well as a good selection of seafood. The result ..... many satisfying choices. Try it...you won't be disappointed.

I was excited to find a Thai spot really close to my new house, but was incredibly disappointed to pay over 20 dollars (with tip) for a small amount of pad Thai. 1/3 of the to go container was filled with sprouts. Felt like a total rip off compared to places like High On Thai who serve full to-go boxes (that are also bigger) for 14 dollars.

For a place that was superb in past visits, it has certainly gone down the drain. Went in for a coconut soup (easy kill). The soup was so sour I had to stop eating it half way. They completely over did it withe lemon, lemon grass and the citric acid. The steamed rice was so over cooked that once I got a little deeper than half an inch it was more of a solid piece of paste. This was most certainly TRASH FOOD! Then to top off the ordeal I was sent on my way without utensils, napkins and sauces that most places include without asking! I know that inflation is starting to infiltrate our lives, but, seriously, how much can a plastic spoon, napkin and two soy sauce packets impact a business. I would gladly pay for utilitarian items that I NEED TO EAT THEIR VERY EXPENSIVE FOOD! Will not be visiting Lum Ka Naad again. Blachh! 😝🤮 The SUPER SOUR TASTE is still in my mouth!

The restaurant is nice and spacious. The tables aren't crowded together like at other restaurants. I ordered the pad Thai and satay chicken lunch special. It came with chicken soup and an egg roll. The food is salty and the taste isn't the best.

We have been here twice before and had good food, this time was not the same. Tom kah soup was terrible tasting. The seafood curry should have crab legs but there were none and one small scallop, should be called fish soup. There were small nats flying everywhere. The service was ok

Food was terrible, we couldn't eat anything, wasn't fresh at all. Use to be good resturant. There was only 2 tables of customers. Never will go back. Just wine was good.

I have eaten here for years. Just went again and it has completely changed. The ingredients were totally different, unrecognisable. The green curry tasted like chicken soup. No discernible coconut, wasn't green, couldn't taste any lemon grass, no sweetness. It didn't taste like green curry at all. Never eating there again.

The server was nice… but the food was so horrible and cost way to much. I ordered soy chicken spicy eggplant sautee and side of rice was extra. Soy chicken and eggplant and carrots all tasted 5 days old. Was not worth $25 ! It literally tasted 5 days old and loooked it and portions were super tiny. I normally dont make reviews but this was just so horrible and upsetting

Came here since my friend highly recommended the place. It was lunch hour so I pointed to and said I'd like to order the fried chicken Pad Thai. I've been told in the past that you can tell the quality of a location by this staple dish. When the order came, I got chicken sauteed instead. I corrected the waitress (a middle aged Thai lady), telling her I ordered the fried chicken, not the sauteed one on a stick. She gives me this look and says "you order number 21, fried chicken is number 22." I told her no, I never said any number (what is this, McDonald's?), I said fried chicken. She rolls her eyes at me and takes the dish away. When she brings back the new dish, the chicken was okay, nothing special, but the noodles were all dry and stuck together. It was literally the worst noodles I've ever had, and made me feel like these were some day olds that were sitting out that were given to me (makes me wonder if the first plate would've tasted decent before I decided to correct the order). It was so bad that I couldn't eat more than two bites, so I left the rest of the noodles and decided to get the hell out of there. I decided to pay in cash as there was no way in hell I was giving a tip after that, and the lady slammed the change on the table after taking my bills. I never write a review about a place since I normally have average experiences, but this is the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant so I had to warn others. The food was so bad I even got the runs 30 minutes later and had to hastily get to a bathroom at a nearby Ralphs. My friend told me this was his favorite Thai place to dine at, but I'll never give my business to that location again after the attitude and food I experienced.

E

This Thai restaurant has to be the worst one I've ever been to. The beef was horrible and they charge me over $20 for a bowl of beef. I should have gone to the Chick-fil-A right around the corner.

Such a bad experience with Encino location, I made an order at 6:20pm, waiting time, -20 minutes ( i have a massage from the restaurant) When I arrived, they told me that they can't find my order and I have to wait additional 20 minutes + additional $93 ( they said that the company received the money but the restaurant not). Today is my birthday, I have a guests in my house at 7pm, Im still here, waiting for the order.

C

I ordered appetizers and entree hoping the appetizer would come first and it all came at once. The Thai iced coffee was way too bitter and the food was definitely lacking in every way. They were closing in 1 hour when I came in and not one single server I came to me and asked me how I was doing or to refill my soda so my opinion service sucks and the food was not too far behind it and for the price it wasn't worth it at all.

With the catchy outdoor lights and better reviews for Thai food on Ventura Blvd, I was really looking forward to trying this Thai spot. So I finally went for lunch with a friend, and... was pretty disappointed, unfortunately. I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my life and have a pretty good understanding of what makes popular Thai dishes good vs GREAT vs okay vs meh... Maybe it was just the lunch time cook that day, but never have I had such a bad pad see ew that I didn't really want to eat it. It made my face go... "wth??" Lol... But my favorite, yellow curry, should make up for it, yeah? Wrong. No flavor at all... and no potatoes! First time ever wishing there was salt on the table at a Thai restaurant. Anyway... I really wanted to like this spot, but unfortunately I won't be going back.
