The hotel is conveniently located. We rented two rooms. Both were large with a beautiful view. It rained in the evening, but the room was warm and cozy. Huge thanks to the hosts and staff.

Visited for holiday and had a very good stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a fire going when we arrived which provided a very homey feel. The food was awesome after a long day of traveling. A+ rating from our family.

A wonderful, wonderful hotel with a great location. Bourgeois style, clean rooms, polite staff. The restaurant and bar are a great place to socialize in a cozy atmosphere... a wonderful wine selection. The restaurant offers a varied menu to suit every taste. We loved this hotel, and golf lovers will appreciate the landscape and the golf course.

Amazing location, great service and hospitality. Would prefer to stay here every-time I’m in Ennis or Shannon. Would recommend to try out golf and pool while staying, best way to reset your mind and get back on track.

Lovely hotel, nice to be greeted personally by the owner Sean as he was passing reception. Room service took 3 calls to reception to order, which was a bit of an ordeal, but apart from that a very pleasant stay!

We stayed in March, with two toddlers. This was one of the most accommodating hotels we’ve stayed at. I’m a travel agent and will heartily recommend to my clients. We booked thru their site, one of their room and dining packages. Wow, I wasn’t expecting to receive such high quality meals! The included meals was a hot Irish breakfast buffet and a splendid variety of options for dinner. Great table service for coffee and tea. Dinner was delivered to our room at no extra cost, which was so helpful with the kids. Nice cold AC in the rooms, and great water pressure and temperature in the shower. We chose Hotel Woodstock as a respite during our 15 day tour of Ireland and we’re so glad we did. Harriet was especially helpful and friendly, making conversation with the kids. She had a little gift for them too. I hope we’ll be back some day!

A Beautiful Hotel to say in. It is a family run business. And at check in time the owner Sean Lally was in the reception greeting the guests. He is feel so welcome and at home. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent offer for a family of 4 So for a family of four, the "All In" Family Break, 2 night B&B with two dinners was ideal for us. The room features a large double bed, a single bed and a camper style bed. The room was quiet and we could sleep. As it was a warm night we left the windows open, but there was no outside noise - even though there was a wedding on one of the nights. There's a leisure centre available - we happily used the pool. The food was excellent - you HAVE to try their beef - it was like nothing I'd tasted before (unfortunately, it was my wife's selection, I had just a taste). They pride themselves on serving excellent beef - slow cooked for 16 hours I was told (and the chef's make his own gravy). The other food was great too. We booked the 2 course option. For the first night we went with starters and mains, the following night we opted for mains and desserts. I'd recommend the latter option truthfully, as the desserts are lovely. The self service breakfast was delicious and would set you up for the day. The staff are always courteous, friendly, helpful and nice people (one poor girl had to deal with a very rude man at breakfast and was so professional and nice throughout). The hotel is located within a reasonable driving distance to the Aillwee caves (40 mins) and the cliffs of Moher (also 40 mins) - where you can take in the beautiful Burren landscape and not forgetting Father Ted's house of course (30 mins). Yes ... we would return. I'll have the beef the next time.

I have visited this Place yesterday with my friends and it was really awesome location and environment. Swimming pool and Sona is awesome experience

We spent a night there during our road trip. The kids enjoyed the pool, and I appreciated the free car charging. The food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was absolutely fine. While some investment could improve the place, what you get for the money (approximately 130 EUR per night for 4 people during the holiday season) was unbeatable compared to other places we stayed at during the same week. We would stay there again.

What a beautiful and relaxing place with very kind staff. Great facilities, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. Restaurant with tasty food served for dinner and delicious breakfast. Stressless experience. Would come back again. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night while visiting Ennis and County Clare on a larger trip across the country. The room was very spacious and had a great view of the adjacent golf course. The continental breakfast was also amazing! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return when visiting Ennis.

Only stayed one night for a last-minute trip but very impressed. The reception was lovely and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great location too if you want a quieter setting than being in town and there is plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Ennis.

This really was a great family venue. The service was absolutely outstanding. We had really excellent meals in the restaurant (I really recommend the Chowder, the seabass but my absolute favorite was the Scallop and Monkfish!) set (as the name suggests, with woodland and golf course view) I can't recommend enough.

Stayed here on holiday and had an awesome experience. When we arrived early from the airport, they welcomed us and even let us check in early as they had a cancellation from the previous night. The full Irish breakfast was a wonderful start to our trip. We enjoyed spending time at the hotel pub and even had our favorite Guinness so far there. There’s a shuttle that takes you into Ennis for only a euro, making the location very convenient.

Went for afternoon tea with my family here. The hotel itself is spotless, really nice looking, with amazing staff. We were met by the reception staff when we came in. They were kind, warm, and very accomodating. Staff serving us were extremely polite and professional. While this is is a 4 star hotel, it has a 5 star standard. Could not recommend more.

My 4 friends and I stayed in the hotel the weekend of the 11th April. We cannot praise it highly enough. It was "outstanding".!!!!. From when I booked with Harriet the Receptionist ,she was lovely to speak to, and so helpful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the rest of the staff, bar staff, waitresses housekeepers, receptionists and the staff at the.pool, were so mannerly, polite helpful and greeted us with a smile. The bedrooms (we had 2 rooms) were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. We all slept very well. The food for breakfast was really nice hot and tasty and a lovely selection of everything. The dinner was delicious and had a large choice on the menu. Top notch food. If I had to score the hotel out of 10 I'd give it 11. Well done to everyone working in the woodstock you are amazing. We will definitely be back. 👏👏👏 Thank you. From Olive Flynn one very happy customer 😀 ❤️

Great place to stay in County Clare. Loved the pub, the food, and the staff. Great to have a steam room / hot tub to enjoy after a long day of touring. Nice touch that Sean the owner comes around at breakfast to meet his guests and give recommendations on places to visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Woodstock in Ennis! Prior to our trip, we emailed the hotel to request an early check-in, as we were flying overnight from New York and hoped to rest a bit upon arrival. The staff was incredibly accommodating—they were expecting us when we arrived in the early afternoon and had two rooms ready, which was very much appreciated after a long flight. Throughout our stay, the service remained top-notch. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The bar was warm and inviting—a perfect spot to relax at the end of the day. Breakfast was also fantastic—plenty of delicious options, all for a very reasonable price. Overall, everything about our experience at Hotel Woodstock was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again the next time we’re in Ennis!

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. The room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the fireplace in the lobby. It is about a 10 min drive to the center of Ennis but easy to do with a rental car. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel would highly recommend.. lovely staff and the open fire in the lobby with the smell of burning turf is like no other, just great! have stayed here a few times.. it’s just a pity that people have to live here, like I see in most hotels. It’s Not the hotels fault it’s a failure of society and governments..

A brilliant night at the Snooker Extravaganza - highlight for me was meeting owners Sean Lally and wife Elaine viral video sensations and for my longtime snooker fan husband meeting his idols Ken Doherty Jimmy White & John Virgo there. Brownie points for me for booking! Loved the hotel, staff, atmosphere, room, dinner and breakfast! Especially handy having the EV charger onsite after driving from Dublin. A great base for a Wild Atlantic Way trip. We'll be back!

I stayed in Woodstock from Monday to Wednesday and really enjoyed my stay, staff were so helpful, room was huge and bed very comfy, really enjoyed the leisure centre gym had good equipment and pool/ sauna was great! I want to say a big thank you to Stephanie and Sinead on the front desk who was very helpful as I had forgotten my watch and rang me when I was travelling back home to let me know and organised posting the watch to me, was a great help as I live over 2 and half hours away, Thank you very much and will definitely be staying again ! :)

We were here with our son for a golf competition. The Hotel was nice and what you would expect. The room was ok but the beds were really comfortable. We had issues ordering room service and had to go to the bar to order food. Unusual you can’t get sandwiches after 5 but only hot food. The food was ok would not order the burger again but that was my choice. Breakfast was lovely and great choices unfortunately the cubed potatoes were heavily spiced with chili and could not finish the meal. At this stage I would have scored a 2 or 3 star but I met a very nice Duty Manager and took on the complaint about the breakfast I just did not want any other guests having the same issue. She was very professional and empathetic. When I checked out I met a lovely lady at the reception. Because of the service I would rate this hotel 4 stars.

Great hotel, very family friendly. Carpet was a little dated, but the room was clean and so were the amenities. Parking can be difficult during the day. I asked for a 2+1 room.

I stayed for four nights this week while on a work trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the room was very tidy, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The location is a bit outside the town, giving it a secluded feel, almost like being in the middle of a jungle, with a golf course nearby adding to the charm. Breakfast was nice, though it could have been better, and dinner was decent but a bit pricey. A good choice for those who appreciate a quiet and scenic setting, though some aspects could be improved.

I'll start with the staff. Nothing short of accommodating and pleasurable every time. I have food allergies and the restaurant staff assisted with this every time. Lots to choose from in the breakfast buffet. The bar staff was top notch and a really good time, especially when the locals came in. Unfortunately, the nights activities didn't really mix well with the birds living in the roof overhang outside our window. Terrible.....

Nice enough place. The Bistro and Bar are marvelous. The lobby has a wood burning fireplace that is a bit overwhelming. Rooms are basic, very difficult bathtubs—-quite narrow, should maybe upgrade to showers. Overall it is a nice enough place to stay.

Lovely homely hotel. Staff lovely and food was very good. I filled in a survey saying only thing I could complain about were the pillows. Following day I got e mail from hotel thanking me and saying pillows had been changed. Now that's what I call service

We spent one night in the hotel. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was really special. Good quality and cooked well. Large selection too. Dinner in the bar was v nice too. I used the swimming pool etc. It was r lovely and everything worked. Which is not always the case in hotels. The only problem we had was getting access to electric car chargers. They are Free to use but are used by staff and even a neighbour!!! The girl on reception was really helpful and got it sorted for us. But I think access to these needs to be looked at. Overall this hotel offers great value for money and was a really nice experience. A real warm friendly run hotel

Stayed here for two nights during the Ring of Clare. The rooms are quite dated—having a shower curtain over a bath felt very old-fashioned. It’s been years since I’ve seen one, and they’re never easy to keep clean. The room was also very warm, and the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Food at the restaurant was okay on both nights, but nothing special. I had the burger one evening, and it tasted like it came from a packet rather than being freshly made. The turkey dinner was nicer. On the positive side, the leisure centre was good, with a sauna and steam room that were well maintained.

We have stayed here on a few occasions but won't be staying here again. On the most recent occasion ... three nights ... we were driving an EV and were delighted to see two EV charger at the front of the house. One was in use and unfortunately, the other was out of commission ... no panic ... the next evening would be fine. Same set-up the next evening. Things were more urgent the third evening ... we needed a charge ... but there was a car hooked up when we got back at 5:30. When I checked before going to bed, the same car was still there FULLY CHAGER at 10:30 and again in the morning when we went to breakfast. When I commented to Reception, I was told, "We don't manage it, it's up to guests". My second issue with the hotel is that, while there is a fine restaurant, it is often closed in the evening and food is only available in the bar which can be busy, crowded and noisy with football on the television and children running about.

Checked in last minute after finding a discounted rate directly on the hotel’s website. Based on the 4-star rating, reviews, and photos, it looked like a steal. My boyfriend booked the room, and as we drove into the parking lot and saw the decorated exterior, I was genuinely excited to see the inside, especially after coming from an alleged “5-star hotel” in Dublin that felt closer to a 3.5 at best. Upon entering the lobby, we noticed pastries set up in the center, likely for an event, and the space smelled strongly of incense throughout. Check-in itself was quick and smooth. Everything seemed promising… until we reached our room. That 4-star first impression immediately dropped to a 2.5-star reality. We were hit with a musty smell and had to open the windows to air the room out. The bathroom looked noticeably over-loved: stains in the shower, chipped paint, and three shower caps—but no other toiletries, which felt odd. At least there were plenty of towels. I used the toilet, which appeared clean, but when I tried to flush, it didn’t work. I waited to see if the tank would refill—nothing. We went downstairs to inform the front desk. The staff member, older lady with glasses, took our room number and said she’d send someone up. That was over half an hour ago. I’m literally writing this as we wait. We were planning to head out for dinner, but now we’re stuck waiting for someone to check the toilet. A pretty disappointing experience, especially considering it’s only been about an hour since arrival. Will update once there’s actually something to update. ——— update ——— My bf and I ended up going out to dinner. No one arrived to help with the toilet. Received a message on google from the owner alleging they never received a complaint from anyone that evening. So I guess the gray-haired lady just pretended to assist us by saying “let me take your room number down”. Additionally, took a shower this AM and noticed a bunch of yellow/orange stains on a few towels. I saw one towel stained so checked all the others. It seemed like it was hardened/crusted?? This is definitely one of those hotels that look nice at first glance, as long as you don’t stay.

Stayed here this weekend. Nice hotel. Good staff. Good food. Good location. Big issue made over my bill regarding a small discount offered by hotel previously. Phoned by hotel owner whilst staying in hotel asking for e mail proving I was being given a discount! Poor , poor , poor.

Just thinking of our best and worst hotel stays of 2025. This without a shadow of a doubt is our WORST of 2025 and ever at any hotel in Irelandor Abroad. It is filthy both public areas and rooms/ensuites. Avoid
