Very nice overall experience. Super recommended. Courteous staff, lovely place (see evening view), welcoming atmosphere, good food with well-defined strong flavours, generous portions, very honest price. The 4 of us had 2 first courses, 4 second courses, 3 desserts, 2 liters of water, half a red wine, 4 decas. All for €104.99. Well done.

This historic refuge has been open since 1930 and is where both my grandfather and my parents used to go. Now I go too. It's been three generations of us going to this refuge. Generous portions, fair prices, and delicious food. Highly recommended.

A beautiful lunch. The view of the valley and the lakes below is spectacular. The large terrace allows us to stay open even in the COVID era and offers a magnificent panorama. The prices are absolutely average, but the quality is very high. Excellent wild boar, good polenta taragna, and excellent fresh pasta. The desserts are also good, although not as good as the first and second courses. The house red wine is recommended. The three of us, with a platter each, two first courses, and two second courses, couldn't finish everything... and we're quite tasty. So don't be scared off by the prices; the portions are super generous.

Ci sono stati dei miei amici che puntualmente tornano perché mangiamo molto bene a prezzi contenuti e poi il paesaggio boschivo è fantastico. Peccato che di domenica sera il locale è chiuso e purtroppo non è stato messo. Mi sono goduta un po’ di fresco ma ci ritorno perché in tanti mi dicono che ne vale la pena👍

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori cordiali, posto pulito e accogliente. Assaggiato primi e secondi: molto buoni.

Posto tranquillo e bel panorama, proprietari molto cordiali ed abbiamo mangiato bene. I piatti sono abbondanti!

It's a nice refuge but nothing special. I had pasta that looked like buckwheat orecchiette but was tough and topped with tasteless cheese. The wild boar main course, however, was excellent. I wouldn't go back!

An excellent refuge for a bite to eat after a circular hike on the Bolettone. If you're not a hiker, don't worry: the refuge is at the base, so it's just a five-minute walk from the parking lot. The staff are incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is mountain-like, and the food is delicious. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the pork shank with polenta, tender and flavorful. Don't underestimate the appetizers and first courses: share, but try everything. A wide selection of desserts and reasonable prices: you won't regret stopping here. The only limitation is probably the opening hours, but if you respect them and stick to them, it's truly perfect!

We decided to take a hike together, starting from Alpe del Viceré and climbing towards Palanzone. The first hut we come across on the road, a few hundred meters away, is the Rifugio Cacciatori. A quiet, charming atmosphere with tables inside and outside. The staff who served us drinks were truly kind and welcoming. The menu was truly inviting, so we'll definitely be back for lunch another time.

The sauces are good, but the pasta is overcooked. The appetizers and meat are good. The place is casual. The staff is polite. It's a shame about the pasta.

Rude, impolite service. I sit down after a 2.5-hour walk, famished. I order some cured meats, average, and a plate of fettuccine with mushrooms; the dish is bland, with mushrooms that tasted like they were boiled. I express my disappointment, even though I ate the whole thing because I was so hungry, and am told that "others don't complain." This response, worthy only of the ignorant, doesn't even deserve a response, let alone a review. There are plenty of refuges; go elsewhere.

Arriving for lunch on the hottest day of this torrid summer, we asked for a table for three: There were many free tables outside, but the owner pointed to the only table on the edge, the only one most exposed to the sun. A little worried, given the heat, we asked if, as time went by, the table would be completely exposed to the sun. And with all the rudeness, arrogance and rudeness possible, she replied, in an annoyed tone, ... what do I know ... I can't make the sun turn as you want, etc. The free tables, in the shade, remained free even afterwards, because there was only ONE reservation! With us was also our little dog, a sweet Cavalier King, who remained under the table without saying a word, so obviously she didn't even deign to think about bringing water (but we had some) A horrifying behavior, I wonder how some people comment positively on this management ... mystery ... they must be their friends! Mediocre food, pasta with ragù super overcooked, tagliatelle with mushrooms (where were they?) tasteless, scallops .. chicken! Learn to behave civilly! In short, never ever again!!!

Proprietaria fredda e insofferente. La cortesia e’ un’altra cosa. Cibo senza infamia né lode. Prezzo alto. Non siamo per niente soddisfatti.

È un controsenso che una bettola in mezzo alla natura del bosco non accetti cani, evidentemente gli animali gli piacciono solo nel piatto. Per me possono anche demolirlo.

The only truly good thing is the walnut cake. The tagliatelle with mushrooms are embarrassing, the duck breast is good but overcooked, the wild boar is tough, and the roulades are so-so. The service is okay. They're friendly.
