A great dining experience in beautiful surroundings. The outdoor dining space is charming. Food is consistently excellent and the service is warm and attentive. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch or dinner.

Live in NYC and travel to the Golden Pheasant should speak volumes about how much I enjoy my dining experience there. I have been celebrating my birthday here for 8 years now and the ambiance, service and food are the definition of perfection. Golden Pheasant offers inside and outside dining. If you prefer the outside your choice is at back on the patio next to the trail or the top front porch with the Delaware River. As for the service Maria and Gabriel provide a most satisfactory experience. Definitely put a visit on your summer schedule.

We had the best time here. The building is beautiful, warm and friendly. Our room was perfect, it overlooks a tow-path in the back and the stone wall was awesome. The tile work in the bathroom was a nice touch. We loved staying in a place where we had dinner. No need to drive home late, and after a few drinks if wanted. We loved the food and the staff. They were very welcoming and personable and made us feel really special being there. We also appreciated that they were very professional and not like so many other places where you get the minimum, quality all around is what we had and we felt valued. We loved it so much we had dinner there again on our second night. The windows in the dining room made it feel very homey and elegant too. The view over the Delaware with the full moon shining on the water made it romantic. I can’t say enough about the food. Perfectly cooked both nights and my salad! OMG! I could eat it every day. As for my guest, the octopus was the best he’s had in a very long time. We loved it here so much, we already booked another weekend. I’m so happy to have found such an all around fabulous place to go and get away from everyday life close enough to home to go anytime and far enough to be really away. Thanks to ALL of the staff for a great mini vacation.

I can't say enough about the Golden Pheasant Inn. From Maria the manager to all the wait staff. We had booked a dinner reservation and over night stay. The day of our reservation my husband has a medical issue which was gone to affect out reservations day and time. My husband called to cancel our reservation just hours before we were expected to dine. Thinking we would still be charged for our room. I can't say enough about how nice Maria was and totally understanding. We had never been there before so we were so excited to be dinning and stay at the Inn. Maria kindly let me cancel and reschedule without an added fee. Everything was awesome from the atmosphere, the food, all servers and our room. Especially Maria. We will definitely be back.

We have been dining here for brunch for years. The view of the river and canal in the vaulted ceiling-fireplace room is great, the historic dining room quaint, the tables in garden beautiful (when cool outside), and the bar area is small but cozy and bright. The service is excellent. Cocktails are well crafted. Dinner has nice options and rotated seasonally. The only issue (as with the sister restaurant the Black Bass Inn down the road) is that both the brunch and beer menus have had only minor changes over multiple years. For a 1st time visitor; not a problem. But for local repeat patrons, some variety would be much appreciated!

Our favorite restaurant in Bucks County is the quintessential fine dining experience - The historic building with its superb location and beautiful historic interior together with stellar service and a delectable menu combine beautifully for an incomparable evening - This was our second New Year's Eve at the Golden Pheasant and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment - Our table by the fireplace and our amazing server, Grace, enhanced our experience - We look forward to New Year's Eve 2026, with several visits in between!

We have stayed twice at the Golden Pheasant Inn, and had a wonderful experience both times. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and lovely. The included breakfasts in the sunroom were all delicious, and Cheryl took great care of us with warm and attentive service. Maria was gracious and helpful as well. While not walking distance to any towns, the Inn is a great home base for exploring the surrounding area, and free parking is easily available. Its location between the river and the canal path makes for beautiful views and a relaxing, peaceful stay. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent too, with attractive and comfortable seating areas both inside and outside.

Our group stopped in while on a motorcycle ride, and this place is amazing! The building is beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially the barmaid! The food and service were outstanding! Hands down the best burger I've ever had! I will definitely be back!

You hold your breath when you rave about a restaurant and suddenly your friends want to meet there for a Saturday night dinner. Uh oh! Did I speak too highly or will they wonder what I was thinking? Must tell you this place did me proud. My friends want to become regulars here even if it means driving 50 miles. I couldn't have been happier or more proud. The place is romantic. It's stunningly old and a throwback 300 or more years to the stone inns of Colonial days. The menu is awesome, the food exceeds that and service is absolutely lovely. I LOVE walking in the door and I'm always reluctant to leave. Tonight I sat at the bar and was warmed by the company. This is home. It's quiet enough to talk, share intimate conversation or do as I often do, sit with crossword and sudokus while lingering for a couple hours Interrupted occasionally with an interesting story. Nice people here, too. I hated to leave tonight. Walked in the door and just had to tell you what a lovely and exquisitely fine evening I had. Was there again last week. I cannot get over the imagination and work ethic the front and back of the house provide. Who thinks of a chilled honeydew soup? OMG, I should have taken a quart or two home. I could live on it. And the awesome salad? Again, I don't know where the imagination comes from to create such a wonder. It's not just the blueberries, nuts, cheese, greens, citrus, but a world of incredible mouthful of cold, crunch making you sad that each bite leaves that much less on your plate to enjoy. They had a special priced menu insert for locals but now on Thursday, and maybe Friday, instead offer everyone 1/2-price bottles of wine. Who more cares for its guests than a fine upscale restaurant offering half-price bottles? This place is a rare find. I don't know how the chef does it, but what he creates is awesome and affordable. Hope my raves don't lock me out. What a great find.

I took my wife to our favorite restaurant for dinner on Valentine's day. The Golden Pheasant is easily one of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Everything was impeccable, from the service to the atmosphere and, of course, the food. Surrounded by the snow, it was warm and cozy sitting by the huge fire that was constantly tended by one of the staff. It just couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience. If you want to have dinner where they treat you like a valued guest, give the Golden Pheasant a try. You won't be disappointed.

Went to the Golden Pheasant for dinner this evening. They had a great drink menu with many options. And their food was outstanding. Great apps, great mains and one of the better Creme Brûlée’s we ever had a restaurant. We were very pleased with the food and our server, Annie, was fantastic making us feel right at home. Can’t wait to go back to the Golden Pheasant for another great evening.

We’ve lived in Bucks County for many years and finally made it to the Golden Pheasant for brunch today. Everything about our experience was outstanding - the food, the service, the view, the ambiance, etc. Highly recommend. Pro tip - tables 12 and 13 are next to the fireplace which they’re going to start up shortly!

On many occasions our experience in food quality and service was excellent. So how can a restuarant go from excellent food preparation in a short time to poorly prepared? Service was great, something changed in the kitchen. Our experience on Aug 9th was very disappointing.

This is not worth the stay or to dine. In the dining area, we noticed at breakfast, dirty tablecloths. In our room bugs were crawling out of the ceiling. In the bathroom some lights didn't work, no exhaust fan and the door did not fully shut. In the shower was a wooden bench that was COATED in BLACK MOLD. When we informed the front desk all they could do was apologize... no solutions. The food is overpriced. The servers were lovely and the only reason for this place not being zero stars.
