Petter Pan Diner was a much more than pleasant surprise. First off that they were open for inside dining was great. Next, the interior was immaculate the decor warm & welcoming & the staff very friendly & top of their game in serving. Now the food? Oh man the food! Both my wife & I had burger deluxe platters. I got mine with sauteed onions added to the burger...YUM. Everything was cooked to perfection, the burger just right aaaand juicy. The sweet potato fries, the onion rings crispy on the outside & delicious on the inside! Even the Cole Slaw & pickle were super fresh & delicious. My wife ordered a slice of Lemon Meringue & I ordered the Chocolate Cream pie. We both were over the moon how fantastic these.two desserts were! When we left we were both thoroughly full & very happy! This diner really delivered two completely wonderful, lip smacking good meals. Go visit them!

Had a very pleasant experience. Great dinner food. Had the turkey club panini and the veggie burger. I'd recommend both. The turkey club panini was a fresh take on turkey club. The tomato was still a bit cold which was odd, I thought it would be warm, but I had no issue with that. Good flavor.

The waitresses are very friendly. The food is fantastic there portions are oversized I had a grill chicken wrap with chopped tomatoes and chopped lettuce she gave me a dill dressing that was so delicious plus I had onion rings pickle & coleslaw. My mom had a burger and onion rings and a pickle and coleslaw I only can eat half of my grill chicken wrap. My mother only ate half a burger I definitely recommend this place definitely get your money's worth mother order piece of cheesecake after dinner the slice was so huge sorry I forgot to take a picture of that next time it's my favorite Diner.

The best diner! Clean, efficient, friendly. Has everything you'd expect and more from a diner. Corned beef hash at breakfast was perfect and not greasy at all. Food well prepared and presented. Our server, sorry, I didn't get her name, but she was excellent. The manager was friendly and professional, and dressed in a crisp tailored shirt. There were two birthdays and they were prepared with a recorded song that everyone sang to. I would definitely recommend this place.

My most favorite diner. Always a friendly greeting. Friendly servers. Betty good food and they have no problem accommodating dietary needs. And in my opinion, the best Tzatziki sauce I've ever had. They even sell it to me (to go) in coffee cups. How cool is that?

By far the best diner on Long Island! The food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I remember this place dating way back into my childhood. It amazes me how expensive diner food has gotten over the years and this place is no different. This place is not cheap eats but it is competitively priced with other diners on the island so it's not a negative hit against them but rather against the diner genre as a whole. However, the food you get (both quality and quantity) is worth the money. Honestly, it doesn't matter what you order, it's all delicious! I recommended this place without reservation!

My friend and I went there for lunch. This was my first time there and I liked the food and the staff. We were in a hurry and when we told the waiter he was kind enough to rush the order. The food came out fast, even though the restaurant was pretty occupied. We had no waiting time for the table and the waiter was polite and nice. The menu has a nice selection of everything: soup, salad sandwiches, wraps etc. The food was fresh and tasty. My friend lives close to the restaurant and highly recommends the place and so do I.

I very much enjoyed my meal. I had the pork souvlaki with sweet potato fries with a nice Greek salad. If you have not tried this dish I highly recommend it! The staff was wonderful and owners are always present and greet you with a smile!

This place is a great diner and I've been going there since I was a little kid. Unfortunately, they had a devastating fire in early July 2024 and they will be closed for several months to rebuild. :(

Great food and plenty of it. Our waitress was excellent and anticipated all our needs. The Chicken Oreganato was delish. I had chicken noodle soup with plenty of fresh chicken. Also baked sliced potatoes and broccoli. Then dessert! We had a bread basket, chick pea salad and beet salad. All for $25.

The people were very nice and friendly. Had the breakfast and was Delicious. Real eggs,the home fries were so good. Everything was wonderful. Great prices. My new go to diner.

We met friends here for dinner.. they eat there often....and recommended the burger special...so we each had a different burger.. I had the patty melt with sweet potato fries.. I loved that you have a choice of 4 different fries. .. regular, curly, sweet potato, or steak fries. .. my husband got his favorite - the seasoned curly fries with the cowboy burger...our friends had the baked clams appetizer,which they said was delicious. . It was all yummy... the waitress was great, friendly, attentive... actually all the staff seemed friendly, and had smiles on their faces. . We'll be going there again. ..

Roxie was our waitress with personality, engaging, and very helpful with my final entree decision. We didn't have to wait long for our entrees to arrive at our table. Roxie recommended the checkerboard cake for dessert, and we shared! It was delicious. When we come back to eat at the Peter Pan Diner, we're going to ask to sit in Roxie's section. We gave her 10's!

I was born and raised in Bay Shore and whenever I visit, this Diner is one I try to visit the most. Food is great..service has been top notch...prices are reasonable. And my first night at the Inn, i ordered delivery and was not disappointed.

First time at this diner. You probably think that all diners are the same but let me tell you this one was better. Our server was Mike and he was on point with everything. Suggestions service smile personality everything that you would want with the service. The food was awesome. Somebody in my party had a tuna melt and they loved it and I had the cheeseburger with chili and salsa was easily the best burger I've had in a very long time. Save yourself for the desert it was awesome warm pound cake with ice cream and chocolate syrup.

I gave it one star because I didn't eat. After the pandemic they stop making There specials every week. I was in the mood for the beef stew with carrots giant carrots. But I was totally disappointed. They changed to the new menu. The Lobster bisk To die for Their pies absolutely delicious. I'LL BE BACK!

Peter Pan diner is the best diner in Long Island!!! My family and I always go here and enjoy it every single time!! Service is great every single server is wonderful! Food is delicious and always comes out hot!! Only thing bad about Peter Pan is the parking lot is kind of small

YUM! I love a great diner. The burger was simple and delicious, cooked perfectly. I love jazzing up the side of fries and making them ✨disco✨ with melted mozzarella and gravy, and it was great! The onion rings are great too. I've heard the sweet potato fries are amazing, so I'll have to get those next time. Plus, the free Famous Amos cookies at the front of the diner are a nice added touch. Excited to come back!

This diner has been here for years! This is a beautiful and immaculately clean diner. All staff is great. The food is delicious. No matter what you ask for. This is a win win for us. Food portions are huge. Desserts are to die for. We have been coming here for over 20 yrs.

Most of the Sundays morning I order family breakfast and I have never had any issues the order is always on point they really take time to read your order and follow the instructions, the the cashier guy even call me by my name is something so simple but it cheers me up every time, also very the restaurant is very clean. I just move from bayshore but I will drive 30 minutes to get my home fries 😂

I went to the Peter Pan Diner on 8/27/2022. I have always enjoyed the food and service at this diner. I ordered The New Champ sandwich and everything was great. Shortly after receiving my food, the owner came to my table with another The New Champ sandwich. He told me he saw the sandwich as it was being delivered to my table and he noticed the sandwich was not big enough, so he brought me another sandwich to take home. I had no problem with the first sandwich, but it did not measure up to the standards of the owner. What a surprise! Kindness is always a wonderful thing.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is awesome and love to chat with customers. The food portions are huge and their desserts are out of this world. If you never been here, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This diner has been around for over 35 yrs. The food is great. The staff is wonderful. I have been going there since I moved to Long Island. You can eat whatever you want, when you want it. Decorations for holidays are always appropriate. Love it!

I have been going to this place for years. The people are nice and kind. Haven't been back to long Island in a while so I needed to stop and have some breakfast. It's nice to go to place that gives a solid portion of food instead of some chain that has it all laid out ahead of time. Coffee was constantly full and the waiter checked on us often. Made me miss living on the Island.

Everyone was so professional and kind. Greeted with smiles during my entire stay. I will definitely be back to enjoy another meal.

Best diner on the island. It's been renovated and looks more like a hybrid diner/restaurant rather than your classic NJ/Long Island diner. They have an extensive menu selection and even dedicated menus for grilled cheese and burgers. The staff is great, and food is always good. I go here at least once a week for a meal and I'm never disappointed.

This place is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious and the customer service is great! It is worth every penny they even gave us rice pudding and we didn’t even order it! I highly recommend eating here !

I love the atmosphere at Peter pan diner and the food is so good (Well I stick to grilled chicken sandwiches and breakfast food mostly). I don't recommend coming during busy hours as I feel on rare occasions you will get some issues with the quality of food (Slightly undercooked chicken?)however if there is any issues the staff is wonderful and will fix it for you. The owner is lovely and the staff so I understand mishaps during rushes of business that is why My review is still five stars because overall the place is amazing!

This Diner is one of the best I've been in. It's cleaner than most and the variety on the menu is excellent along with the taste of the food and the portions! Burgers are great Reubens are great salads are delightful and delicious! Parking lot needs a little help though getting a parking space but if you do it off hours you'll get your spot and enjoy great food! We have a waiter by the name of Johnny he is excellent remembers what your likes are what you drink and make suggestions on things that might fit your pallet. He's really a great waiter! Recommended highly!

What a wonderful place for breakfast. Hot food good coffee and service. Bang for your buck top pick of the week. It was heartbreaking to have seen on TV this morning 7/2/2024 that they had a massive fire. The media spoke with the owner. Lets keep them in our thoughts and prayers as they work through the process of rebuilding.

Came here for dinner on New Year’s Day!! What a great staff and great way to ring in the new year. We especially appreciated our waitress, Shari, who warmed our cold hands with warm mugs. She was inviting and friendly and very attentive to our dining needs. Wonderful vibe at Peter Pan Diner!! And food was amazing too…

This has quickly become my go-to spot! The staff is so warm and accommodating, it’s like going to a to a friend’s home rather than an eatery! The food is delicious. My favorite is the Original Patty Melt with Russian dressing. It’s absolutely fantastic.

I miss this diner so much, other diners just don’t hit the same way. I’d come here whenever I was craving my Greek grilled cheese and sangria, it was very affordable and fair too, with the same lovely waiting staff every time. Can’t wait for you guys to reopen!

It has been a long time since I ate at this diner and i must say that I am so glad I returned. I was attending a meeting there and this place was fanatic. From the atmosphere to the staff, I am already thinking of my next visit there. The people in my party ordered food but I was just having water at the time. Peter came over (since he knew the other members of my party) and we started chatting. He was very personable and asked what I wanted to eat. I ordered some egg whites and toast and he went and put the order in himself. The taste was amazing and the service phenomenal. I can see why this place has wonderful reviews and many repeat customers. We asked our server for the check and she said that "Peter was taking care of it." Now, if that isn't a way to gain and keep clients I don't know what is. I would also like to thank Laura and Lauren, we bothered both of these lovely waitresses during our visit. Good waitresses , great food, and an owner who cares about his clients=perfection.

Never order the liquor. First, let me say the food is wonderful. The servers are quite kind. But again, DON'T ORDER THE LIQUOR. I asked for an Old Fashioned at first; I saw they had a collection of whiskey, so I figured it wouldn't be that big of an ask. Unfortunately, neither the server nor whoever they had working behind the counter seemed to know very much about making drinks. So instead I just ordered a Jack & Coke. $12.95 for a freaking Jack & Coke. That's insane! They'd make back the bottle in 3 drinks! Jack Daniels is NOT pricey. I've paid less for elevated cocktails in the city. And had they given me a good cocktail, I would've said that was a fair price. But no, they gave me a splash of jack with a heavy dose of soda. That's $8 max, not $12.95. I should've known better than to order it when I didn't see the liquor menu, I guess. Aside from that, the food is some of the best on the Island and the service is phenomenal. Tip 'em well, they deserve it.

Way better than your average diner. Selection of dishes was almost overwhelming with some non-run-of-the-mill selections. The food was also really good. Each person in my family completely cleaned the plate. We will come back here when in the area

This place has been here for as long as I can remember. Possibly the best diner burger on Long Island, and I don't think anywhere has more diners than Long Island. Great place to head to after a long night out. I'd give it 5 stars but parking is not easy.

Excellent diner. I had a sausage egg and home fry dish. My wife, daughter, and I all are there and the food must've come in under five minutes it was insanely fast! The home fries, sausage, and toast were excellent really good flavors and nice and hot. The eggs did seem a little dry but that was probably just because they were scrambled and I know a lot of places just batch cook those. They didn't rush us out the door and the waitress absolutely loved my daughter (she's two and a half) and really interacted with her awesomely. I would definitely recommend and go back here!

They have the best burgers around. As a matter of fact, when I went there this past Friday 7-12-13, I was pleasantly surprised to see Peter expanded their burger selection further. One of the new ones, the chili cheeseburger, was phenomenal. The staff is also terrific as well.

The prices at this dinner are a little overpriced I ordered my daughter scrambled eggs $7 .....my bill was 70$ with tip for breakfast 2 adults 1 child. Wife omelet me pancake home fries 2 eggs sausage link 2 coffee. Idk maybe I'm wrong.

Went to dinner with my kids on a Saturday night. We were seated right away. Liked my food very much. Only issue is the kids pizza my daughter ordered. She's very picky so when the parsley was generously added to it she freaked out and refused to eat it. Other than that no issues. The waitress was very nice. Loved the live entertainment. Food is great. Delivery and pickup have issues. Delivery messed up my parents meals and left out my meal on my birthday. Called to notify them and spent 15 minutes for them to say they know and driver is coming back. Driver came back 30 minutes later with my meal. Parents meals were cold by then. Never apologized or offered anything.

Updated review: Still enjoy this diner but last couple times had some minor issues. Went during Christmas break and the waitress seemed uninterested in her job. Disappeared into the kitchen for about 15 minutes after taking our order. Popped her head back out and then dipped back in was MIA for another 10 minutes. She came out with her own food but we still has nothing. Later brought out stuff over and said "oh I thought you had your food already." No, try again. And the last two times we ordered take out, where we picked up, the order was wrong and had to call back and have the right food delivered. The second time this happened, was on hold approximately 20 minutes. Lesson learned, will check the order before leaving.

Pretty good, enjoyed my breakfast the omelet was a little small but with the home fries and toast I guess the price was worth it. I rather pay a little more for a bigger omelet. The pancakes were delicious. Looks like the redid the place since I last was here way before covid.

No reservations accepted - We had a group of 8 and there was a 20 minute wait to get in. Parking in their lot - spaces are tight. His & Her restrooms. They have tables, booths & High chairs. Everyone was nice & friendly from servers to management. We ordered coffee, OJ, Apple juice, Pepsi, various omelets, burgers, sandwiches with dip, London broil steaks & various fries - all were delicious. Kid friendly too.

My friends and I were looking for a kid-friendly diner that we could all agree upon so that we could catch up for a bit over lunch. The little guy was very impressed by the christmas decorations and enjoyed his pancakes without a fuss. The food was on par with what you would expect from a Long Island diner. The chicken wrap was great. The reuben was even better than expected, and the fries were nice and crispy. The only gripe that we had was with the service staff and how they communicated with the kitchen. Two members of our group had dietary restrictions that were explained to the server, but were not fully understood. Three out of the five of us got exactly what we asked for, so I'm giving a three out of five service rating.

After waiting for 15 min to get served we asked a nearby server who would check on us. He said “it isn’t me” and then came back saying he would be waiting on us (Mario?). He took our order and came back a bit later with our food. My meal was incorrect. I ordered the grilled cheese loaded with turkey club. He brought me the club. My husband corrected him. He brought back just a grilled cheese and said “I heard turkey club”. The food was mediocre. The service was horrible. Came here and was told this place was an incredible local diner. I wouldn’t chose to come back here.

I have passed by this diner for many years and finally I stop in. The menu is large. Greek fare is the specialty as well as other American comfort foods. Menu items are a little pricey. Most meals start at $12. Taco salad is amazing.

Needed a break from hospital food and ordered a roast beef sandwich with fries and was disappointed. Fries were undercooked and roastbeef tasted like deli, not fresh roasted. I will say the food was well presented, with friendly service and quick delivery.

We were excited to try the Peter Pan because it was recommended to us. We were disappointed as soon as we sat down because of a strong odor that permeated the dining room. The place looked and felt old and shabby. The sour/rotten smell in our area really made us lose our appetite. The service was fast and friendly. The food was average. Cannot recommend. Overall, a D+.

Usually love this place and has been my go-to for a while but lately they have consistently messing up orders. Not even hard orders, just "burger with cheese" basic orders. I haven't had an order from them the past 5-6 times I've gotten from them that wasn't wrong in some way.

I drive 20 miles one way just for your thin crispy edge pancakes. On my last visit I could tell that they weren't the same, thicker more like I Hop. Today my brother in law went for pancakes and he asked what happened to your pancakes? Please don't change what isn't broken. Thanks, a loyal customer!

I love the food, just wish the waiter. Would have care more about us. She first took cared of tables that came after us. When she was refilling coffee , she skip us. I want it a dessert but was waiting for her to even walk by our table ones for 20 minutes. She finally came. Me and my wife had a 500 dollars just for her tip it was the 23 of December. She judge a book by the cover. And got only 10 dollar tip. My wife beg me to give to her.

Place was clean.. We were seated immediately. Service was quick and waitress was friendly. Food was okay. Pancakes a little over cooked. Home fries undercooked. Eggs were good! Orange juice was delicious, tasted fresh squeezed. I probably won't come here again.

I'm not sure what happened with our most recent visit. Normally the food is excellent, however this time, everything was loaded with salt. The gravy for the turkey dinner tasted like McCormick powdered gravy. The stuffing had an off taste to it. We honestly only ate half our food, it was that bad. Our server was brand new, he literally had been working for only a few hours. Despite this, he was pleasant and found the answers to our questions. The owner or manager was busy being chatted up by some gentleman who clearly thought very highly of himself. They shared a rather loud conversation that went on for 10-15 minutes. For now, we'll be avoiding this diner.

I am highly disappointed in the food I received for take out on 2/19. I ordered 2 chicken ceasar salads, for a total of 36.80, which is pretty steep for 2 salads. It was my second time ordering the salads because my first experience was excellent. The first time I ordered, I ordered the same 2 salads and was happy to pay over 16 dollars for the salads because they were delicious and plentiful. I ordered the same 2 salads and received 2 salads the size of side salads. It was extremely disappointing considering the cost of the salads. Not to mention the take out tray fee. Had I opened the order in the diner, I would have never walked out with them. I was already home making it difficult to then go back to the restaurant to address my concerns. It is very unfortunate because the salads are delicious. Just not delicious enough to pay 36 dollars for 2 side salads. Sad to say....very disappointed.

Went for breakfast. Burnt home fries and burnt egg white in my wrap. Paid my bill as front desk female laughed when we said the food that we left on the table was terrible when she asked. Went to the deli to get breakfast instead. Don’t waste your money here. Lousy food and no one cares if you complain.

Huge disappointment with this long time diner. We have been consistent customers for 20+ years…not anymore after tonight! We have been ordering for delivery through the pandemic and they have sent incomplete orders twice. The first time I called and was told that a credit would be applied to my account. The next time I placed an order I was told that the credit could not be applied because the girl who applied it was not there. WHAT??!! Tonight I ordered, they charged my $47 ($54 inc tip) and left out an item. I called and was told said item was not ordered. Can these people do nothing correctly? We are done with this diner. There are many around and we will move on. Highly disappointed.

I am sorry but today was enough there were 4 drunk guys that brought their own Coors Beer in , and they were so loud and using language. There were kids and elderly in there as well. The coward of the manager allowed the employees to get abused by them as well. All she was worried about was the money & not the employees & customers . I felt so bad for the girls they stiffed them. She came by and told us theirs nothing she can do. I was disgusted i said excuse me you call the police to have them removed. They finally leave and they spud off on the wrong side of the road you allowed them to drink in your place you’re responsible if they hurt someone you should have call the police. Shame on you.

All diners have pretty much the same menu. But what makes a good diner is how clean is the place and how quickly they turn over their food. Peter Pan Diner looks like a nice place and seems pretty clean. Today I had their roast turkey dinner and if I wasn't as hungry as I was I would probably just got up and left. The turkey was old and was absolutely horrible and so was the stuffing. After suffering through the entree I asked if the strawberry shortcake was fresh and was told all cakes are delivered fresh each morning. That may be true but the piece of cake I had was definitely not fresh. It was old and it was stale. I haven't been to this diner for a long time, but I can say that I won't be going back again.

My husband and I had the worst experience. My husband ordered a breakfast platter, I ordered the lamb and potatoes and it came with three broccoli. I'm going to say we are never going back to this restaurant. We spent too much, we left more than half the food. The lady came over with the box she was nice, we declined. Truthfully, I wouldn't feed my dog that mess.

Wouldn't go back to this diner anymore! While eating a busboy is sweeping the rug by our table. I proceeded to tell him I didn't appreciate him cleaning the floor while we were still eating. While paying I told the older gentleman at the register and he proceeds to tell me that if the dining room wasn't cleaned he'd get complaints. No customer service etiquette at all! Not even I'm sorry or I understand and it won't happen again. This place doesn't get my hard earned money anymore!!!!!!
