Try the cinnamon chip bread and the banana walnut bread! The breakfast sandwiches are also divine - I got egg, cheddar, and bacon on a cheddar garlic roll and it was so good. Also - the cinnamon roll!? Delish. And such friendly staff too!!
The BLT is made to perfection. But to go is not a good ideia, once is wrapped it looses it’s crunchness
Great harvest overall. With a bit of support from AI to better balance sugar levels, along with continued training for younger staff, things could be even better. Strengthening relationships with customers from different cultural backgrounds and encouraging more diversity in the workplace would add real value. I visit often and appreciate the effort that’s already being made.
They're jalapeno, cheese roll taste and smell like the homemade rows.My mother used to make. I couldn't quit eating it.They also have a loaf of bread with sunflower.Seeds on the outside and nuts all over it.And through it a loaf of bread probably weighed three pounds. It was so delicious. I ate there three days in a row.I have often stated.Give me a little bit of something filled with flavor and I'll be happy.Don't put a big bunch of nothing in front of me.Because I'll still get up from the table.Wanting something that satisfies that taste demand. Well, the sandwiches eyeballed from them. Were all full of flavor. I left very happy. The only reason I gave them a lower rating on service is if they were willing to slice a biscuit. And make a sausage and egg sandwich. But I requested the jalapeno and cheese roll be sliced, which it is thick enough to do toasted and make me a egg and cheese and sausage sandwich.Sorry, sir.We can't do that, but we can do it with a biscuit. You can't explain to me why you can't.
Great Harvest is perhaps the cleanest restaurant in Fairbanks but I think it’s also fairly new. The sandwiches and pastries are very good and reasonably priced. The service is very friendly. Great Harvest is a great value in Fairbanks.
I love the bread and baked goods from great harvest. They also have a wide array of super cute items that are great for gifting. The customer service is great.
As a self admitted cinnamon addict this is horrible place to go…that being said it was amazing. The cinnamon roll was delicious and huge. The monkey bread muffin also delicious and lastly the snickerdoodle cookie was a delicious next day snack. If you have self control drive on by but if you need a fix this is the place.
Just a really really good sandwich shop that makes their own bread and has some amazing dessert. If I had a negative it would be their pricing $$$ is a little high imo, but I guess you get what you pay for and you definitely get delicious food made with love.
I'll be honest, I assumed this place was more for health nuts so today was my first time going. (Nothing wrong with health nuts. I'm just, not. Clearly.) Well the fast food places near by looked way too busy so I gave it a shot. AMAZING, fresh, flavorful food. Huge, appealing selection with something for anyone you might bring. Customer service was also fantastic which in itself is hard to find lately.
Nice, cozy atmosphere! Staff was extremely sweet and helpful. When we first walked in, we were welcomed and had a variety of bread samples. The monkey bread and cinnamon chip (not sure if that’s the right name) were both delicious. We both had hot sandwiches that tasted fresh, and we got to choose the bread we wanted. We got a chocolate chip cookie for dessert, and that was great too. Highly recommend!!
I placed an order for delivery through their website. The order was not ready when the delivery driver arrived to pick up. They then wanted proof of the order. When I called, I was told that it must not have printed, and they were working on the order. Then I was told the cheddar biscuits were out of stock at 7 am. The biscuits were the only reason I even placed the order. On another note, the Extreme Box I received does not feed 30-35 people, maybe 10-15 at most. Mistakes happen, but not even an apology for the mix-up is bad customer service. I'll still go back in person; their food is great, but they wasted my time and the driver's time, and I do not recommend this method of ordering from Great Harvest.
So going here I already know that the food is going to be good and the prices are gonna be outrageous, but what I did not expect was that they did not know how to just make it decent cup of coffee. I asked if they sold coffee I was told yes, they said they have lattes and mochas, etc., I said do you sell just regular black coffee and they said yes, they handed me the coffee and I couldn’t smell coffee at all so I opened the lid and could basically see the bottom of the cup, I told them that the coffee was not coffee and I handed them back a cup and said could they just pour it out for me? They asked if I wanted them to remake it, and that they had given me an Americano, I told them I did not want an Americano. I just wanted a regular cup of coffee, they took the cup poured it out and said OK thank you have a good day and I drove off. They could’ve at least offered to refund the coffee because it wasn’t coffee. Unfortunately, my wife loves this place so I guess I’ll be back.
I placed an online order for pickup. When I arrived, a staff member informed me that one of the items I ordered was unavailable and stated that I was responsible for removing it from the order through the app. After checking the app, it clearly indicated that the store needed to process the refund directly, which caused unnecessary confusion. Additionally, the “Giant Cookie of the Day” was missing as well. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope the store improves its communication and online order handling in the future.
Im only giving the 2 stars because its the only “healthier” option in town. For the price of the sandwich, I would have expected more. My bread slices werent even a half an inch thick, and barely any meat. My sandwich was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich with a tiny hint of bread and chicken salad. Even the chicken salad on the sandwich had more nuts than it did chicken. Highly disappointed!
I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this is needed. The customer service the last few times I have gone has been awful. Yesterday though was ridiculous. The girl at the counter knew nothing about customer service(pink hair to help identify her). I went in with my daughter and she was asking me about the bread board. She didn't say hi, offer to help, or acknowledge we were even there. Another girl came up to the counter and I got her attention asking for help. She helped us with a slice and got the items we wanted to buy, then asked the first girl to check us out. She looked like she didn't want to, even rang up my white chocolate cherry roll the wrong price. When I told her that the price was different than posted she said she was told just to select the closest item to it to ring up. I told her I wanted the price posted again and she said she wasn't supposed to change the pricing. Sounded like she was overcharging customers all morning on this. If she didn't fix it the third time I requested I was going to not get anything and just leave. My kids really wanted monkey bread though. The girl finally figured it out and saw I wasn't letting it slide and it looked like she rung it up as a day old item price. I even asked if she had a manager there and she told me no, this was around 1pm approx. Today I got the monkey bread out I bought and the whole middle was uncooked and gooey(completely raw). It was gross. I'm just tossing it since that's unsafe to eat. Due to this and awful customer service I won't be back. I used to work at the Anchorage Great Harvest and while I don't care for the owner he knew how to make sure customer service and product quality was always on par. I have never been greeted, asked if I need help at your store, or offered to try something on the bread board.
Today we ordered an iced latte and americano. We've been waiting for atleast 20 minutes. They are just in the back gossiping, and when my husband reminded them of our order that's when the lady told him that they are just making it right away. Too bad their baked goods are nice but their service sucks.
Ate one place, here, yesterday, Puked for an hour. No its not the flu, complete recovery after puking. I don't recommend supreme roast beef sandwich. Update: the response from the owner is misleading. Foodborne illness are not rare, there are millions of cases per year. Some food toxins such as staph aureus can cause nausea and vomiting in as little as 30 minutes to 8 hours.
Got 2 of the 10/10 breakfast sandwiches. I give them 2/10 though. Starting with the menu. $13.25 for a sandwich..? Then if you get the garlic cheddar bread it’s an extra 1.50..?? Sandwiches were crazy thin. A single egg smashed out to fit the sandwich. 1-1/2 slices of bacon. This sandwich should be about $6-$7..MAX!!! The bread is sliced thinner than Walmart Great Value bread. That bread should be sliced Texas Toast style for these kind of prices!! I haven’t been more disappointed in a breakfast purchase ever. Also - the wait…yikes…….
The food here is really good and hate to leave a bad review. But I waited over 35 minutes for only a coffee. It seemed to be a problem with most orders either got lost or wrong for what I saw.
Messaged 3 days ago about plastic being in my food, no apology or anything but seems we get responses here. all together in this town many restaurants standards have quite dropped some old cooks and bakers moved on, new ones take our place let’s remember our health is at stake, and this is something I would expect to happen in a large scale company not someone who has “a” shop. Pretty shure I ate a piece this one scratched my lip.
