Came here on a whim as we were in Fallbrook to buy something. The food was beyond expectations. The Cole slaw and potato salad blew my mind…which is hard to do! The pulled pork was tender and flavor packed. The brisket was tender and melted in my mouth. Will definitely be driving 40 minutes to come back again.
Absolutely wonderful place and I highly recommend coming here if you are in Fallbrook! We wanted burgers after a decent hike and decided to try this out. It is located in an old firehouse and has an eclectic ambiance. They have T-shirts from a bunch of breweries on the walls, pictures of the old firehouse and other cool art. They have tables and booths and everything is super clean. The lady who took our order was very nice, friendly, helpful and checked in on us intermittently, which was nice. We ordered the beef brisket sandwich with a side of beans, the Nashville fried chicken sandwich with a side of fried okra (both sandwiches with slaw inside the sandwich rather than on the side), a beer and a cider. The Nashville Fried chicken was excellent! Fiery, saucy, crunchy, absolutely delicious. I couldn't stop eating it! Slaw inside the sandwich is the way to go by the way, as they only do meat and bread otherwise. The brisket was also good, but needed more sauce and felt a little plain flavor wise when compared to the blast of flavor from the Nashville fried chicken. The fried okra with the spicy mayo dip was excellent and I recommend taking this as a side. The beans were decent but, again, felt blah in comparison to the okra. Both the beer and cider were excellent. The pricing is also reasonable. We will definitely be back!
SOOO YUMMYYY!!! A MUST TRY if you're in the area. This restaurant is located in the historic original Fallbrook Firehouse address. It is very comforting inside and nice enclosed patio areas to eat. Food takes a little long to get, but it's well worth the wait!!! Meat is so juicy and tender and filled with lots of flavor. Try their bbq brisket sandwich. They have scheduled live singers to listen to while you eat. We didn't try their brewery, so I'm not sure about it. The restrooms are co-ed and can use some more cleaning... but it is ok.... Other than that, it was a great place to eat!
Definitely the best BBQ I've ever had! BBQ pork & BBQ Brisket sandwich 🥰😍!!! Sides 🤤🤤
My wife and I ate here over the weekend and we were not disappointed! We took a 60 minute drive up from Lakeside to visit a relative. After out visit, we were in the mood for some BBQ. And from beginning to end, Firehouse Que and Brew was simply the ticket. We loved the BBQ out in front of the restaurant, literally smoking the meats that they would eventually serve their hungry customers. The atmosphere was casual, and a great menu with many food and beverage items to choose from. We ordered Brisket, Chicken and Pork. All 3 meats could stand alone on their own with out any sauce honestly. Tasty, tender, flavorful and piping hot brought to our table. They also offered 3 sauces, Original, Sweet and Hot. All 3 sauces were very excellent. The coleslaw was great and the potato salad was to die for! Just a great place to eat and relax! And talk about customer service. We even had 2 different people ask how our meal was, and really meant a lot to both my wife and I. It shows me that the staff genuinely care about their customers. Next time, I will have to try the bread pudding! I totally recommend Firehouse Que & Brew not only for me, but also for you! :)
$53 Meal & 2 Sodas / Absolute Great Customer Service Ms. Yolanda was well spoken when going to our table for a second time to check on us. 3 adults ate decent with 3 Meat Sampler! Atmosphere is nice.
The smell of meat being smoked can be smelled from blocks away! Nestled inside the historic site of Fallbrooks first firehouse turned BBQ joint, you'll find BBQ that boast's it's the best West of Texas. They surely do not disappoint!! Not only was the service amazing, but the staff was attentive and kind. You start by walking in and ordering at the counter (due to covid-19). They do allow for outdoor dining currently so we opted to dine on their patio. Wasn't very busy for a Thursday afternoon, after the lunch rush hours, but before dinner and traffic. We had their Thursday lunch special, which consists of a brisket sandwich with sides of slaw and french fries. We also ordered a half pound of pulled pork as another meat to try. We had lemonades to wash it all down. We rounded up the meal with their peach cobbler a la mode. They serve all their meats without sauce so you can decide if you even want to add sauce or enjoy as is with the smoky flavors. While the brisket and pulled pork were both flavorful on their own I decided to try all three sauce varieties and I'm glad I did. They have original/house, sweet, and hot/spicy. The original is tangy but robust flavor. The sweet has a hint of sweet without being overly sweet and had an interesting flavor from the spices used. The hot/spicy sauce definitely has a kick, but it's all balanced well enough to keep you eating passed the heat. I tried all three sauce individually with the pulled pork and chunks of brisket. Each one changed the experience slightly on their own. Now, add a little of all the together in the same bite and wowsers!! Their Cole slaw is definitely worth mentioning. It wasn't overly sauced and drowning, it had just enough moisture, but still every bite treated as if you just made it fresh. Crispy, flavorful, and I can't stand Cole slaw, but I ate every last bite because it was that good. Even their french fries were cooked to a perfect crispy outside that crunched and was seasoned well, but had a light fluffy inside, even with being small fries and not steak fries. Now the peach cobbler a la mode y'all!!! Wow! I think I'll be dreaming about that for the next few nights at least. It was the perfect combo of sweet, salty, crunchy, and delicate. I was very tempted to order one to go for dessert after dinner tonight. I would most definitely recommend this place to anybody that wants to experience a piece of Fallbrook's history and amazing BBQ all in one. I haven't tried their beers yet, but look forward to tasting soon. Big shout out to Ivan Martinez, for amazing service and making us feel super comfortable and for making this meal and experience over the top!
Our family drove by and decided to try it out. The food was delicious!! The whole staff was super friendly, especially the manager. He took the time to talk to us and even gave my kiddo a hot wheel car. Absolutely great!! Try out the dessert!
Google reviews did not steer us wrong. Popped in to try it out after seeing solid reviews. We ordered the ribs and bbq chicken salad. The hot bbq sauce was on point! Chicken was cooked perfectly & my husband was super happy with his ribs. We loved the guy working there, he was so helpful and a total rockstar guiding us Portlanders to his recommended dishes.
Food was really good. Coming from the south definitely a good solid bbq place. They have mayo based slaw which is very important for my family due to preference. We over ordered for 2 adults getting the sampler special and brisket entree leaving plenty of leftovers for another meal. Will definitely come back again. Not sure what else needs to be said so I’m done reviewing.

Went on a Wednesday at one and it was empty! Amazing friendly service, very clean seating area. Three different types of barbecue sauce and they’re all wonderful. I got the smash burger and my boyfriend got the brisket plate. Fries were melt in your mouth and so was the brisket, burger was HUGE and delicious. Mac and cheese was extra cheesy and garlic mash was good. The cashier was also working the bar and doing restaurant duties and somehow still found time to make sure our drinks were filled and the food was good. This is our new favorite barbecue spot, can’t wait to come back soon!
They were so kind to let us make an order when they were within 10 minutes of closing up. (We misunderstood the restaurant times versus the Door Dash times.) The staff were GREAT and had amazing attitudes about everything. The food is the best BBQ is San Diego County and the fried okra is cooked to perfection 👌.
Have been eating here frequently for more than a year. Love it. Well seasoned fries, creamy mac, and refreshing Cole slaw. Can’t go wrong here. Always ask for the spicy sauce!

We ordered the Meat Sampler Combo and got to try out a little of everything - a great option for first time visitors who are unsure of what they want to try. The brisket and sausage were the best, tri-tip and ribs were a little dry. The brisket was sooo juicy and tender. The sausage has a nice spicy after kick to it and is great for any spicy lovers. The Mac and cheese side is really nice as well as it has a bit of butter flavor added to it.
What a perfect spot for some bbq with the family. So cozy, feels like home. This spot would be perfect to go to eat during summer time with the patio area. Great food selections with plenty of meats 🍖 😋. We got the mac and cheese fries, fries, pulled pork sandwiche, and tri tip platter.
Nice people and great brisket! Lots of indoor seating, and there is a bar area. Plenty of tv’s to catch the game. All the meats were terrific, though a little more seasoning would have been preferred for my taste. The mashed potatoes weren’t great but the beans more than made up for it. All the staff were super upbeat and cheerful, and the restaurant has a bright and happy feel. This is a very popular place with the locals! Reasonable parking space but can be tight. Easy to spot with the big fire truck out front!
The Food was delicious I liked the brisket but half of it was fat I didn't mind though it was a little dry though. the ribs were fall off the bone tasty had a good smoked flavor the sauces were flavorful I really liked the spicy and the sweet BBQ sauce. The beans were not the cowboy beans I love to eat they were ok, Mac and cheese noodles were a little undercooked did not go well with the cheese sauce. Corn bread was ok had corn kernels in it I wanted a solid piece of bread no filler or a johnny cake. The fella's I went with were unhappy with the BBQ cause of the Fat so I got a couple of extra portions cause I do not like to waste food! So I filled up on the meat. The beer tap was under maintenance so I did not get to taste their house brews. service was very good the lady who took the order was very polite and patient helping us decide also letting us know what the locals favorites were. The decor was up to date clean and welcoming and they had clean restrooms a very clean spot to stop and eat. I was very pleased with my experience but my friends were not very impressed. I love BBQ spots looking for that whole pig BBQ always happy to stop and see what a local restaurant has to offer for new experiences. Friday May 17th 2024 about 3 or 4 pm.

As you see, the Burger is stylish. It has green skirt. But it's too high to bite for me. I can't taste every ingredient at same time. I realized that each ingredient is good, but they don't make harmony. The burger needs leader of their taste. It should be meat. Flies are very good. (BBQ Burger and French flies $19.02)
Pulled pork sandwich was pretty good, mac n cheese was tasty. Brisket was the best dish of the night. Sides were all very bland and not worth it. I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere it was very lively with plenty of comfortable seating.

Having traveled throughout Texas for BBQ I find myself struggling to find something that satisfies my cravings. Unfortunately this place was subpar . I ordered a tri tip sandwich with coleslaw and fried okra. The tri tip was cold , dry and SAD , I’m just blown away with how do you serve cold tri tip on a cold bun. The amount of tri tip on my sandwich was very minimal it was more bread than meat. Made me think this was old meat served. The bun wasn’t warmed or toasted. The coleslaw was awful it was very bitter as it was mainly cabbage ends. The okra was ok but again anything fried is good. The atmosphere is spot on with a bbq establishment but I did not like there was only micro brews served at a bbq place this is unheard of. Unfortunately I will not be revisiting

Their smoked brisket is the best I've ever had and in big portions. Tri-tip is very good, too. I'm going to try their whole menu in due time. The deserts are perfect as well. It has gone down, while they are nice. The food they gave me looked like just leftovers? Or they piled little pieces of what was at the bottom of the tin. I mean, just wow, I felt bad cause the taste also suffers now. It was pretty bland, and the beans were soupie? Not a thick sauce, just watery beans. Just felt like they didn't care anymore and raised prices, but I know we are all struggling, and I'm trying to support this place over 4 years now.
What happened to this place? This used to be the best Brisket you could get in California. So tender, so perfectly seasoned. I am willing to bet that management, ownership, or the grill master has changed. I recently visited this place since its well out of the way but from what I remember well worth it and the Brisket was very tough, over cooked, and highly over seasoned. Super salty. Its so sad. I'm curious if this was just a one off and will update this review when I give it one more shot. However, I am certain that something has changed either new owners, new management, or a new grill master or lack thereof. Very Sad about my loss of the best brisket you could get anywhere local.
