Ranch House Kitchen is a popular spot known for its friendly staff and generous portions. The brisket is a standout, though some find it inconsistent. Expect a wait, but most agree it's worth it. Some mention outdated prices and occasional service hiccups.

My wife and I try to stop by at least once every couple of weeks. The food is always top tier and the staff are down home, warm and welcoming !
Wow, great place in florala. I don't know much about the staff but I believe it to be almost entirely family owned and operated. The service was fantastic and the food is great. It's also in a beautiful section of time and welcomed both locals and tourists alike. Definitely a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat.
A Florala, AL native recommended this dining establishment and were we ever glad that we listened! Every dish that we’ve tried there has been really good, but the smoked brisket is out of this world. Generous portions, perfectly smoked and wonderfully seasoned. Best brisket I’ve had outside of Texas without a doubt. You order and pay at the cash register then sit down, enjoy some tea, lemonade or coffee and in a short time a server delivers a plate heaped with good food. The prices are reasonable, nice atmosphere and the restaurant is clean. Very enjoyable to eat there.
This was a great small town lunch spot! Had their Roast Beef au Jus with homemade Potato Salad .. The Roast Beef was perfectly tender, juicy on its own. There was a light touch of seasoning and cheese on a sub bun that also was correctly baked so that when dipped in the au Jus, the sandwich had that oh so delicious beefiness that was pleasant! The potato salad also was delicious, mustard base, but again, not overwhelmingly so .. great southern cooking at its best.
Located in Florala on 5th ave, I ordered brisket but was told sold out so o ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was ok not great. Homemade hot bbq sauce was runny and just ok. Sweet sauce was Memphis style. No Brunswick stew. $45 for three people. Better reviews and menu variety than Depot which is another local restaurant
The brisket was on the tough/dry side but the portion sizes was very large. The okra and slaw was really good. We'll be back but try something different.
Food was great, inviting atmosphere. The staff was nice but only spoke when spoken too. Then I was interrupting a conversation when ordering. Prices shown on maps are outdated
I took my grandson in for ice cream a few days ago. The atmosphere was great, the staff was awesome, the price wasn't even too bad. The one thing I feel they could improve on is the ice cream selection. They only had a few flavors. No rocky road,, nor brownie bits in any of the choices😔 I get that they sell other food, which I wasn't aware of until my visit, but it IS an ice cream shop. I was hoping for at least a FEW choices other than the usual flavors of strawberry, chocolate & vanilla. They had maybe a total of 8(?) including the 3 mentioned. I will say that the ice cream was fresh & a nice portion (we had the waffle cones) & I will def come back again. The ONLY disappointment was in the lack of ice cream selection.
Food was good I got the double cheeseburger and it was good not great like some of the other reviews I'd seen but still a good burger and good sized i was a little upset because the menus id seen online showed they had fried okra but when we got there the actualmenu didn't but thats not the restaurant's fault. My fiancé got the brisket plate and said it was some of the better brisket she's had. All in all would definitely go back if we're ever near Florala.
Look up a recipe for Reuben sandwiches! American processed "cheese food" is NOT an ingredient!
I ordered the Weagle, a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and all the trimmings. It was fresh, hot, and tasted good. My partner ordered a hamburger and said it wasn't hot or fresh, saying he was disappointed with it. The fries and tots were hot and fresh. As always, the sweet tea was great and plentiful.
My boyfriend and I rode down to see the town as he has never been, we saw this cute little place and decided to give it a try. We walked in and was met with a small almost classic southern deli and we got excited to try the food especially after the lady told us that the burgers were home made. After ordering and paying for a burger with a side of fries (which is an extra cost), a deli sandwich with horseradish and coleslaw (also an extra) and us something to drink we sat down and took a look at the receipt. Now we have a hard time hearing sometimes so if she told us how much our food was we didn't hear her (not her fault of course) so we were quite surprised when our total was over $30 bucks for two people at a deli. After my boyfriend was talking about going and talking to her about the cost I reminded him that she did say that the food portions were big, he sat back down and we waited for our food. We were very surprised to see that the portions were in fact not very big and that the burger that my boyfriend ordered was very dried and under seasoned. My coleslaw was very sickly sweet and actually made me sick at my stomach, the sandwich was okay but not my favorite due to the horseradish I just wanted to try it cause it sounded different. We did see the sign on the counter that stated that the sides were an extra cost, and I did remind my boyfriend that when we were ordering our food. The lady that took our order was very sweet and the style of the deli is cute but we won't be back.
We had bbq and a burger… to say we were disappointed is mild. The bbq was old tasting and the burger was so dry it was miserable. We won’t be back and we try to support locally so this is sad. When we got up to leave not one of the 4 works even spoke . Not small town hospitality
Had been coming to this place for years, went tonight to get me and the wife supper and after I picked up our food and got home we open our plates and my wife’s hamburger had no meat. So when I went back to get it fixed there was nothing but a bunch of girls sitting at the table and I’m guessing one of them was running the place, there was no greeting when I got there or no sorry when I opened the plate and showed them what they forgot, one girl just laughed and took my plate and went to put the meat on it, the only sorry I got was from the cook who said “sorry I must have been distracted” and that was it. The girls”workers” just sat at the table and continued talking amongst themselves about boys, as I overheard the conversation. Use to be a good place but now is ran by kids and they don’t care or have any professionalism amongst them. Sad really, use to be a good place to eat.
