Ho prenotato per cena avevamo un impegno vicino e ho scelto in base alle nostre esigenze. Comunque una scoperta atmosfera dei ristoranti storici si scende una scala e ci attende una stanza confortevole. Il servizio attento e cortese si sono destreggiati tra i tavoli con disinvoltura tenendo tutto sotto controllo. A fine siamo saliti il proprietario ha offerto un amaro abbiamo pagato il conto buon rapporto prezzo qualità e ci siamo soffermati a parlare un po'.Consiglio se passate da queste parti di fermarvi.
Ogni volta che ritorno a Firenze la fermata è d'obbligo, e mi affido alle amorevoli prelibatezze, preparate e proposte dal cordialissimo e gentilissimo proprietario Sig. Luciano, servizio impeccabile ed eccellente carne di qualità eccelsa la migliore fiorentina della zona il tutto arricchito da piatti eccezionali della tradizione Toscana bagnati da vini di ottima qualità e come se non bastasse il locale accogliente e riservato si trova in pieno centro a due passi dalle bellezze artistiche fiorentine. Consigliatissimo.
Buca Poldo. Sono capitata per caso in questo ristorante e devo dire che mi ha sorpreso. Il locale si trova al piano di sotto, l'ambiente è molto tranquillo e i camerieri sono gentile che ti fanno sentire come fossi a casa. Ottima la qualità della carne. Prezzi adeguati alla qualità del cibo. Quando torno a Firenze ci ritornerò sicuramente.
Ieri passeggiando per Firenze ci siamo imbattuti in questo delizioso locale, abbiamo mangiato una bistecca fiorentina davvero succosa. Anche il vino era ottimo. Consigliatissimo.
Ci tengo veramente a parlare di questo locale, è la prima volta che torno 2 sere nello stesso posto in vacanza. Per prima cosa il personale è gentilissimo, e a differenza di altri mi hanno fatto prenotare anche se ero solo. Il menù è ricco di piatti interessanti, tutto rigorosamente toscano e tradizionale. Ho ordinato la prima sera tortelli buca poldo e per secondo il peposo, concludendo con una bavarese. Non sono un esperto di vini e il gentilissimo cameriere mi ha suggerito l'HEBO che ho apprezzato molto. La seconda sera ho provato trippa fritta, pappardelle al cinghiale e costoletta di agnello al ribes. Tutto favoloso, prezzi onesti. Faccio di nuovo i complimenti e consiglio a tutti di provarlo. E non provate a rifiutare l'amaro di Firenze!
lo e il mio ragazzo siamo entrati attratti dal nome, ci siamo subito ritrovati in un luogo accogliente e che sapeva di casa. Cameriere disponibile, gentile e simpatico. La pappa buonissima ce la siamo proprio gustata, gnam! I piatti alla fine erano puliti, allego prova sotto. Consigliatissimo!
Pranzo in occasione di una laurea e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il locale ha previsto due menù, uno con piatti tipici della cucina Toscana e uno rivisitato per adattarlo ai vegetariani. Il menù vegetariano era eccezionale e ha colpito anche gli onnivori:come antipasto una crema di cavolfiore, uovo in camicia e strisce di porro fritto; dei pici in crema di spargi e piselli con burrata e nocciole come portata principale (impossibile descrivere a parole la bontà di questo piatto) e infine un flan di zucca con formaggio e noci. Altrettanto buono il menù tradizionale con carpaccio di manzo, pici al ragù e tagliata con patate arrosto. Una scoperta e assolutamente da provare la rivisitazione di un dolce della tradizione: mille foglie con sottili fette di pane fritto, crema pasticcera e riduzione di vino rosso. L'interno del locale è piccolo, ma molto accogliente; c'è comunque la possibilità di mangiare nella veranda esterna.
Davvero una bella "buca". Personale gentilissimo, cibo ottimo e abbondante. Locale in pieno centro storico a pochissimi passi da Piazza della Signoria, dagli Uffizi, dal Ponte Vecchio. Se volete gustare dell'ottimo vino della cucina toscana, questo è davvero un buon posto. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo. Lo consiglio.
Ci siamo fermati per un capriccio per uno spuntino e una birra. Il posto era così meraviglioso che alla fine siamo rimasti per un paio d'ore. Il personale era eccellente. Tutti quelli che abbiamo visto non erano altro che professionali. Abbiamo ordinato alcune birre, una bottiglia di vino, delle bruschette e un piatto di formaggi e carne. Tutto era assolutamente delizioso. Abbiamo dimenticato uno dei nostri telefoni lì per circa un'ora e i server lo hanno tenuto per noi. Altro che professionalità. E per finire, dopo che abbiamo finito, ci hanno offerto un bicchierino di limoncello in omaggio e il sever ne ha preso uno con noi. È sicuramente una buona sosta per uno spuntino. ~~~~~~~~~~~ We stopped on a whim for a snack and a beer. The place was so wonderful we ended up staying for a couple of hours. The staff was excellent. Everyone we saw was nothing but professional. We ordered a few beers, a bottle of wine, some bruschetta, and a cheese and meat platter. Everything was absolutely delicious. We forgot one of our phones there for about an hour went back, and the servers kept it for us. Nothing but professionalism. And to top it off, after we were finished, they offered us a complimentary shot of limoncello, and the sever took one with us. It’s definitely a good stop for a snack.

Sono tornato dopo quasi vent’anni, per un ricordo d’infanzia, e ho fatto benissimo! Appena dietro piazza della Signoria, potrete gustarvi l’autentica cucina Fiorentina, con i classici crostini al lardo, con il patè di fegato, passando poi al cinghiale con polenta e un’ottima Fiorentina cotta alla perfezione, il tutto accompagnato da ottimo Chianti. Personale gentilissimo, conto adeguato alla qualità alta dell’esperienza, torneremo ancora senz’altro, consigliatissimo!
Da molto tempo volevamo provare questo ristorante in centro, oggi passando per caso abbiamo deciso di fermarci e devo dire che ne è valsa la pena. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la cordiale accoglienza, di quella cordialità vera, spontanea che ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Piatti curati e di qualità, porzioni giuste, buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Se stai cercando un ristorante tipico nel cuore di Firenze, a pochi passi da Palazzo Vecchio e a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella, questo è il posto perfetto! Locale accogliente e autentico, con un’atmosfera calda e familiare che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il cibo è davvero ottimo: piatti tipici fiorentini preparati con ingredienti di qualità e grande attenzione ai sapori della tradizione. Porzioni abbondanti, qualità eccellente e prezzi davvero onesti, soprattutto considerando la posizione centralissima. Un plauso speciale al personale: gentile, professionale e sempre sorridente, pronto a consigliare i piatti migliori e a farti vivere un’esperienza piacevole dall’inizio alla fine. Tutto davvero perfetto. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole gustare la vera cucina fiorentina senza spendere una fortuna! 🍷✨
Questo ristorante è un accessorio che Firenze indossa con minuziosa cura. Sono andata a cena con la mamma domenica sera, e custodirò un caro ricordo di questo posto. I proprietari sono stati tanto accoglienti e gentilissimi. Un clima caldo, di casa, nel contempo raffinato. La trippa era ottima, la carne di cinghiale morbida e profumata. I crostini di polenta ai porcini, poi, ci hanno conquistate. Abbiamo concluso la serata con un buonissimo amaro, che ricorda le nostre origini. A presto! ❤️
Quando ho ospiti a cui tengo far sperimentare attenzione, gentilezza ed ottimo cibo, il ristorante "Buca Poldo" è una garanzia. Un ambiente caldo ed accogliente, vicinissimo a Piazza della Signoria. I proprietari attenti e gentilissimi, ogni volta ci coccolano con le loro prelibatezze, materie prime di ottima qualità, preparate e servite con maestria. The recipe for a good restaurant: basement in an offshoot alleyway. We were grateful to find a place like this open on Christmas day. The atmosphere is very charming and quaint. It looks so homey with the dim lights, paintings, and wine bottles decorating the small dining area. The sheep’s milk pecorino with truffle/balsamic and honey as an antipasti dish whetted our appetites. The bread was rustic and crusty, perfect for sopping up sauces. The truffle ravioli had such a wow factor! We ordered 2 plates. It’s a homemade pasta with delicious sauce. There were Christmas specials, and we enjoyed the lamb with artichokes and potatoes. For dessert, we had the pera cotta, cheesecake, and affogato. We loved how light and smooth the cheesecake was, and we were pleasantly surprised to find chocolate sauce in the center of the scoop of gelato. Overall, this has been our favorite restaurant on our Italy trip so far!
I had amazing experience in this restaurant yesterday. The staff was super nice, helpful and friendly. Amazing food paired with amazing wine and with fresh bread and tasty olive oil. Hidden from a rush piazza, yet directly there. I can only recommend and visit it for the next time I am in the city.

We were a bit hungry that day because it’s very difficult to find good restaurants in this city, and there are a lot of fake reviews on Google Maps. I heard our hotel staff recommend one of “buca” restaurants in Firenze. Luckily, we found this place! We ordered tiramisu and risotto, and they were amazing. It was such an honor to talk with the tiramisu master after the meal. Highly recommend their Il Risotto Estivo and tiramisu! (Btw their staffs were really friendly, we’ll definitely go back again in the future. :D )
This is the best ravioli I’ve ever had in my life. The wine was amazing as well. We had both red and white wine. My wife had the clam pasta and loved it as well. I believe we were talking to the owner of the restaurant who was also serving us. He gave us so many amazing recommendations and was so kind! This is sort of tucked away from the main tourist street and we highly recommend grabbing some pasta and wine here!!
This place was an unexpected find. The food was incredible and the wait staff were lovely. The inside seating was inside in a cool cellar, a welcome relief from the heat.
We went to Buca Poldo for an early lunch after visiting some of the local attractions in Florence.and were seated by friendly staff. There were very few customers. They explained and recommended the dishes. We had salad and steaks. Both were delicious.
Another reviewer wrote that they wished they had come to Buca Poldo before their last night in Florence and I thought that was a bit cheesy. Until we went also on our last night in Florence. Starting with the atmosphere in the dining room - the basement level is naturally cooler and the air con was a welcome respite to the late June night. You know you’re in Italy when you’re here. You just do. It’s great. The coccoli was fresh and the cheese was decadent. Definitely a great start to the meal. For the main I ordered the ravioli Buca poldo and I STG it was the best pasta dish I’ve had in my life. It was aromatic, creamy, perfectly portioned and delicious. 10/10 recommend. We finished with Tiramisu obviously and it was incredible. Soft and fluffy yet saturated with espresso. Another 10/10 must order. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow we’d be back 100%. This was the perfect send off from Florence and I can’t recommend visiting Buca Poldo enough. Seriously.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We started with a delicious ravioli dish filled with ricotta and spinach…and continued with a mouth watering Florentine steak (with potatoes) for two…..amazing! For dessert, the server came up with a tasty affogato delight! The service was excellent and the outdoor seating area was attractive.

This was a pleasant found. We were nearby and decided to give it a try and were so happy with the food and service! Everything we had from mushrooms flan to steak were delicious. We will for sure to go back if we are in the area again!
A Hidden gem within walking distance to Duomo, Florence. This is where locals go to get homemade food. Very reasonable prices. The ossobuco is great!
Down an ally and down stairs you will find a great restaurant with pleasant staff who speak excellent English to guide you through your meal. Very tasty food and wine available in half bottles. The complimentary grappa and Amara Toscana at the end was much appreciated.
The best restaurant I tried in Florence. The dishes we ordered all tasty. Although the owner was very busy to service at the other tables 😌. The vegetable balls were amazing, the sauce and cheese blend into one, and they taste very layered without overpowering each other. The ravioli with truffle tasted like heaven, I raised my eyebrows at the compliments while eating them. Tiramisu is nice too, very creamy but too sweet for me.
Very happy to have found this restaurant for dinner. We shared the ravioli with truffle sauce and florentine steak. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. As dessert we had the tiramisu and it did not disappoint at all. Very friendly and polite staff. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent service & food. The steak florentine, veal steak, linguine vongoloi & their desserts are amazing!! We ate here everyday either at lunch or dinner and were never disappointed. The staff are delightful & friendly without being pushy. This is the place to try true authentic Florentine food. One more reason to visit this beautiful city!!
A little off the main Street and that's how we knew it was worth a try. Reviews are good and for a reason. Service was at it's best and food didn't disappoint at all. Every single dish was very good. You should definitely try their ravioli and home made cream brulee. Table wine was very good too.

Boato carino e caratteristico in pieno centro a Firenze. Situato ai margini di piazza Signoria dove si gode del pieno gusto fiorentino. E proprio questo gusto lo si sente anche nel cibo.
