Sgrano merita davvero una sosta. Ottime le schiacciate e ottimi anche i taglieri, pieni di prodotti gustosi e ben selezionati, e il vino che ci hanno consigliato si è rivelato perfetto per accompagnare tutto. Il locale è accogliente, curato e con un’energia piacevole, il personale è cordiale e il prezzo finale più che adeguato. Torneremo volentieri.

Attesa davvero breve anche se la fila è corposa. La qualità della schiacciata è molto alta, poiché soffice e croccante. I prodotti sono buonissimi ed ottima anche la birra senza glutine di loro produzione. Ci sono andata per due volte in tre giorni e ci tornerei ogni volta che posso! Consiglio

If you eat gluten-free, Sgrano is essential. It’s not one of those places that just offers a token gluten-free spaghetti — everything here is 100% gluten-free, and the quality is outstanding. I visited both the restaurant and the sandwich shop. The restaurant serves incredible pasta, with several types made fresh right there. I tried three different pasta dishes, each one full of flavor and perfectly cooked. My only regret now that I’m back in Dallas is that I only went once. The sandwich shop is brilliant too — they have a sit-down area and a take-out window for quick bites. It’s small, so I understand why they might not seat solo diners, but the food easily makes up for it. the service is efficient - not super friendly but it was fine. If you’re in Florence and need a true gluten-free experience, don’t miss Sgrano.

I first visited Sgrano 2 years ago when I had a takeaway sandwich. I’ve been wanting to return since then and just managed to plan a short break to Florence. We decided to eat in this time and that was a great choice. We had Bruschettine to start which was amazing with the fresh tomatoes and olive oil. I thought I had decided what I wanted in advance - until I saw the option for a platter so you could have a variety. The main sandwiches weren’t as good as I remembered though - they were so much better. The schiacciata is amazing and all 4 options we had were really good. Definitely recommended.

OBSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Service. Quality. Taste. Take away. Dine in. All 100!! Best ever!!! This is the best gluten free restaurant/take away I have ever experienced. I am the only person who has Celiac in my travel group of 7 other people and they have loved the gluten free options. There was even a very popular sandwich spot right down the road (from the take away and 1 restaurant) and my group opted for the GF Sgrano because they loved it so much. And not only that, but we also found their second restaurant location and my group said “We must go here!” and we had the greatest experience. On top of that, the prices are SO affordable and the guy at the takeaway window was very nice, extremely helpful and he makes everything personally every single day. Best quality and it blew my taste buds out of the water. I never want to leave…because of this place. If you’re GF, or heck, even if you’re not, GO!! It’s worth any wait and you WILL NOT regret it!!!!

Sgrano is an absolute gem in Florence! The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel right at home. The ingredients used in the salads and sandwiches are extremely fresh and of top quality, and the flavor combinations in the dishes are excellent. The gluten-free focaccia is simply heavenly – I couldn’t even tell the difference! The same goes for the bread rolls served with the salad. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes: one sandwich order (which includes two sandwiches) is easily enough for two meals. The tiramisu was good but quite mild in flavor—it lacked a bit of sweetness or depth. However, that’s just a minor detail. Overall, if you’re celiac, gluten-free, or lactose-free, Sgrano is a must-try, whether for lunch, dinner, or a quick bite to go!

Coeliac here. This is a fully gluten free restaurant serving focaccia sandwiches. We arrived maybe 20 minutes before closing and they kindly still put through our order to take away 3 sandwiches. We also then walked home 15 minutes, so I'm adding the context that we were last order and didn't eat them immediately. Even still, I'd recommend these sandwiches. They're much larger than I thought they'd be, and the focaccia (gluten free) was good. I know it would be even better if we'd eaten them immediately -- gluten free bread has a habit of becoming chewier the longer you leave it after cooking/heating. I had the ham, mozzarella and a porcini pâté-like 'cream' and I'd recommend this. I also sampled the sausage, cheese and broccoli rabe, which was nice (although the sausage was quite pink in places -- I think that might be more common in Italy and not necessarily a sign it's undercooked!). Finally, I tried the salami, gorgonzola and aubergine, which was also good. Definitely worth stopping for lunch, especially if you have coeliac disease.

Abbiamo provato le focacce senza glutine. Belle abbondanti e abbastanza veloci nel servizio. Purtroppo avevo chiesto una modifica in fase di ordinazione ma non è stata fatta ma molto gentilmente mi hanno rifatto la focaccia. Abbiamo scelto di fare take away, ordini entrato nel ristorante e attendi fuori in quanto è abbastanza piccolo. Buona ma non la top di Firenze, purtroppo la mia su un lato era un pò cruda e gommosa.

Delusione sotto ogni punto di vista Sono stato attirato dalla promessa di un tagliere tipico, ma purtroppo l’esperienza è stata ben lontana dalle aspettative. Gli affettati, che dovrebbero essere il fiore all’occhiello di un locale italiano, erano di qualità mediocre: prosciutto dal sapore piatto, con una consistenza quasi gommosa, e nessuna traccia di quel profumo intenso che ci si aspetta da un prodotto stagionato con cura. Le verdure? Praticamente inesistenti. Un paio di foglie tristi e scondite, messe lì più per riempire il piatto che per offrire qualcosa di fresco o equilibrato. Nessuna attenzione alla stagionalità o alla presentazione. Il vero colpo basso, però, è arrivato con le schiacciate fritte. In teoria dovrebbero essere croccanti e leggere, ma quelle servite erano unte al punto da sembrare immerse in litri d’olio. Basta guardare la foto: lucide come specchi, pesanti e poco digeribili. Un peccato, perché con un minimo di cura nella frittura avrebbero potuto essere il punto forte del pasto. In sintesi, un’esperienza che lascia l’amaro in bocca. Prezzi non giustificati dalla qualità, e una cucina che sembra più interessata a fare volume che a valorizzare i prodotti. Due stelle solo per la cortesia del personale, ma sicuramente non tornerò.

I was really excited to try this place but left feeling disappointed. The first sandwich I ordered (their most popular) had tough meat that was hard to chew and strangely flavored. I then tried a turkey sandwich, but it was overwhelmingly salty. The bread on both was very thick, slightly burnt, and so tough that it actually hurt the roof of my mouth. The staff who helped me was also rude. I don’t usually write bad reviews but unfortunately this just wasn’t what people made it out to be. But hey, maybe you’ll have better luck. This is just my experience.

Esperienza pessima e gestione del cliente ancora peggiore. Mi sono recata in questo ristorante e ho ordinato un gin lemon, che sul menu era indicato chiaramente a 8€. La cameriera mi ha chiesto quale gin volessi, senza però spiegare in alcun modo che alcune scelte avrebbero comportato un sovrapprezzo significativo. Non mi è stato presentato un listino con i prezzi dei singoli gin, né mi è stato specificato che scegliendo un determinato marchio il costo sarebbe quasi raddoppiato. Al momento del conto mi sono ritrovata a pagare 14€ per un semplice gin lemon. Alla mia richiesta di chiarimenti, mi è stato risposto in modo scortese e sbrigativo che con il Gin Mare il prezzo fosse quello e che “c’era scritto”. In realtà, sul menu il gin lemon risultava a 8€, mentre le alternative di gin erano indicate solamente in una sezione separata da quella dei drink. Come se non bastasse, abbiamo pagato 18€ per un tagliere di salumi che definire deludente è poco: solo due tipologie di salame (due fette ciascuna) e due fette di prosciutto. Quantità ridicola e qualità nella media, con un rapporto qualità-prezzo assolutamente ingiustificabile. Trovo il comportamento poco trasparente e decisamente scorretto. Un cliente deve essere informato in modo esplicito di eventuali maggiorazioni prima di ordinare, non scoprirlo al momento del pagamento. Ancora più grave è stata l’assenza totale di cortesia nel fornire spiegazioni. Non tornerò e non lo consiglio a chi cerca correttezza, chiarezza nei prezzi e un minimo di attenzione verso il cliente.
