My tortellini was absolutely delicious. Our group of 4 had 4 different dinners and we all thought the food was excellent. The waiter was friendly and was willing to talk with us. We enjoyed everything about our visit.
This is a high quality old school Italian Restaurant. I love that the Kitchen offers off menu specials. Always good food. Always impeccable service. Quaint treasure that deserves our support.
We travel to Flower Mound often and Alfornos is our regular restaurant when we visit. The food is amazing!
Wow!!!!! I had been a loyal customer for several years to another Italian restaurant in Flower Mound. At least 1-2 times/month, orders $90-$100. I called tonight to place an order and for the first time about 2 items on the menu so I can make a decision, willing to try something different. I’m a very rude manner, guy tells me he’s too busy to answer my questions. At that point they lost me. I decide to give Alforno’s a shot as they’re closer to my place. Food is way better than the other restaurant, friendly people. I have a new favorite Italian restaurant and closer to me.
We had Alforno’s for the first time tonight. We moved in just a few blocks away about a year ago and finally tried it. I am bummed we waited so long! Every dish we had was excellent. We got Togo and everything was hot and flavorful. We already have picked out our next orders for when we definitely go back. Heard great things about this place and they were all right. We love it!
The dining room closes at 9pm and our options were limited. Alfornos was close so we thought we would go there. It was almost 9. I hated people like "us" when I worked in the restaurant business so I kinda expected to be greeted with an attitude. There was only 1 other couple in the dining room so I'm sure the kitchen was pretty much closing down. We were greeted with a smile and the waiter was also very kind. Didn't feel any attitude or pressure for us to hurry. The manager came by and asked how everything was. We told him we would be done soon so he could go home. He said to take our time he was still going to be there for another 45 minutes. He was very genuine and I would most definitely recommend Alforno's not only for the excellent food but also for Outstanding Service and Hospitality.
I can now say I've tried every entree under the chicken category, which is about 10 different dishes. Each one is delicious. I guarantee there is something here you'll like. My go-to favorite is the dish by the same name as the restaurant, Chicken Alfornos. It is amazing.
Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come back. Excellent service. Crab cakes were stellar! Ordered the Trio from the specials: meat ravioli, cheese ravioli, and fettuccine Alfredo. Superb! Highly recommend. Cappuccino ice cream and red wine For the win!
I think Alforno's is the best Italian food around. I ordered the Chicken Picata & Chicken Marsala this time to go. Both dishes were delicious & came with pasta in marinara sauce & salad. I chose their house dressing which is exceptional. If you love true Italian food Alforno's is a must. 👍👍👍
My favorite Italian dish is linguini in white clam sauce and Alforno's delivered. The clams were tender; the sauce flavorful; and the pasta perfectly cooked. There was no other customers here when I arrived for take out which was concerning but not a true gauge of the quality of food here. My mother got the shrimp and scallops Fradiavolo. She will only eat scallops if they are perfectly well cooked, not translucent like most restaurants make them. The chef cooked them PERFECTLY! My mother was so pleased. She enjoyed the sauce even though it was a bit spicier than what she is used to eating. On top of all of this the portions were huge. They included nice fresh salads and some tasty rolls. The house dressing is great.
My wife and I have been going here for years. This is a hidden gem in Flower Mound with excellent food, service and atmosphere. Live music on weekends is great too, if you haven't been please check it out!
This place is awesome!! I love all of their food. The house dressing for the salads is unique! My brother had them cater for his wedding. We had pizza, salad, bread and some kind of awesome pasta. I love this place. It's genuine Italian food and very delicious! Quick service too!
The lobster ravioli is to die for, and the pizza was incredible! But you REALLY have to get the caprese and a salad with their house dressing! It was our first time here, and we are always on the search for good Italian food. We will definitely be back! Next time I’m ordering a dish with their Alfredo sauce, because I hear it’s amazing!
Great food, the house salad dressing is to die for! The owner walks around and checks in on tables and also helps out his staff. I thought that was an amazing feat. I love seeing owners involved and helping staff. Will definitely be back! Oh and they had live music!
I would not mind saying one of the best Italian restaurant in DFW. The food had always been perfect not overwhelmed with cheese or butter, just the right taste every time. Would recommend for small or big parties. The ambience is normal but if you are searching for Italian food, this is the place.
Alforno's has delicious pizza, beef cannelloni, fettuccine. I love their sauce and they have the best table bread. Sauce flavor is very important to me and theirs is one of my favorites. I eat here at least once a month.
Very relaxing atmosphere (though not really relevant since I ordered takeout). Service was very quick, in and out in no time at all. Best pepperoni pizza I’ve had in a very long time!
We ordered food for mothers day, we had multiple items, and all were good. My wife went to place our order, and they said you are getting too much food for the number of people you are feeding. My wife followed their suggestion, and they were spit on, we even had so.e left overs we enjoyed over the days following Mothers Day. We had tried their pizza the week before and would order from again definitely for Pizza or Meals to go. Give them a shot, and you won't be disappointed.
The food and atmosphere were great. We've had great service here before, but the server we had this time was terrible. When we go back, we will request a different section if he is the server. UPDATE: Steve was the fabulous server we had the first visit.
I stumbled upon this Italian restaurant while driving through the Irving area, and although the parking lot was nearly empty when I arrived and left, I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. There were only a few customers, but that didn’t reflect the quality. I ordered the crabcakes, which initially gave me pause because they came with a brown gravy that seemed unusual for crab. However, once I took a bite, I was blown away! Even though the crabcakes didn’t have lump crab meat, the flavor was fantastic, and I’d definitely order them again. The side salad was a bit underwhelming, almost like it came from a pre-packaged grocery bag, but the house dressing was excellent and nearly made up for the lackluster salad itself. For my main entrée, I had the shrimp and scallop Fradiavolo. It had a nice spicy kick and was loaded with generous chunks of shrimp and large scallops—no baby scallops here! I was impressed with how well the flavors came together. The service was fantastic as well. My waiter, Sammy, was super attentive and friendly. He made sure I had everything I needed and even helped package my leftovers to go. If you’re in the Irving area and craving homemade Italian food, I highly recommend stopping by this place. It’s a hidden gem with great flavors and amazing service!
Been eating here 20 years, penne ala vodka is better than anywhere else I’ve tried in the last 20 years. Also love the ravioli really seems home made, tonight we shall see if their pizza is gtg
This is by far the best Restaurant in flower mound.. I eat here all the never had a bad experience. The food is outstanding, My favorite is lunchtime The veal piccata. It's a perfect portion ,the side of Spaghetti It's always perfection. Or an appetizer.I highly recommend the crab cakes.Or the escot. I'm getting hungry just thinking about There
We had an outstanding dinner with another couple and all 4 entrees were delicious! Service with Mary was terrific- she was extremely attentive. Wonderful wine in our carafe we ordered. We had 2 appitizers- crab cakes & shrimp scampi both outstanding! I had the eggplant rollitini, 2 guests had veal Jerusalem And one had spaghetti & meatballs. Everyone loved the generous portions & sauces. Pasta was Terrific too Great entertainment by a piano player who was so good ! Highly recommend this restaurant- you will not be disappointed!
We went to celebrate one of our father's 85th birthday. They accommodated about 26 of us including young children and did a good job taking care of us. The food came out quickly, it was good, and the service was good as well. Make sure to try their house dressing on the salad.
Thank you Alforno’s for helping me host an awesome birthday party for my sister. The food was amazing. Calamari and the garlic cheese toast was the perfect way to start the meal. Veal Marsala, Veal Bistro, Chicken Piccata, Lobster Ravioli, Eggplant Parmesan and Gnocchi Bolognese were the favorites. (My hubby liked his pasta trio and even brought home leftovers) everything was delicious and great portion sizes. Cappuccino Pie Ice Cream leaves me speechless! Thank you again. Impressive Service. Rarely are we able to get such delicious food, great service and accuracy on large parties. Thank you for the pleasant surprise and hospitality
Had an amazing dinner. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Sam was very attentive and we enjoyed him as our server. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back.
This has become my favorite Italian restaurant. My husband and I love the Chicken Alforno! The people are very nice. We have enjoyed everything we have ever ordered.
We found this place looking for good Italian places nearby and it has become the ONLY Italian place we frequent on a regular basis. It’s the place everyone who visits us wants to go to when they’re here. The food is incredibly, the staff amazing, and they even have live music. I have tried over 10 different dishes and all of them were incredible. Truly my favorite restaurant in the area since moving to DFW.
This place was amazing!!! The food was OMG! I came in one day (because I was hungry and in the area)and had the chicken fettuccine… it was so awesome I had to come back. I was just in yesterday and I had the crab cakes and the lobster ravioli!!! Let me tell YOU… I left NO crumbs! The sauce!!! Man. Look. If I could give them more stars.. I would! This place is slept on! Yall better try it
Great local Italian spot. Our table of four all ordered different entrees and everything tasted amazing. Prices were also great considering the fact that you get a salad and garlic bread with all entrees!
We ordered spinach ravioli, garlic bread and their regular bread buns twice and it was one of the BEST!!! We will be going again
This place is awesome! Their Sicilian pizza is the best I've ever had and my favorite thing they offer. Their lasagna is also excellent. It's a true authentic family run place that consistently delivers a great experience.
I just had a quiet Lunch here. They have a very pleasant dining room. Soft music playing. Friendly staff. And Excellent Food!!!
We love the pizza here at Alforno’s. Large portions and very good quality. All your normal toppings and combinations are available, but I recommend checking out their alfredo pizza. It is SO good. We almost exclusively get this whenever we do order from here. The pickup counter is straight ahead by the way when you come in if you order take out. Just follow the signs!
We go at least once a year for my husband's Birthday and the food is always amazing.
Perfect authentic Italian experience! I always get the antipasto salad, which is best served with homemade house dressing (best you’ll ever have). We all live the garlic rolls they bring before the meals. My family often get the pizza or pastas and are always delighted. The Chicken Marsala is dimly the best my wife has ever had. What a wonderful place!
We are on our way back again to our favorite Italian restaurant in Lewisville and the surrounding area. I should have left a review years ago! The food is consistently delicious, excellently prepared, and delivered in a timely manner. We have invited several other couples to dine with us and they too, have been delighted and often suggest we go back when we meet with them again. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with their dining experiences at this charming restaurant.
Great tasting pizza. I imagine this is similar to what I would get in New York. Very fresh toppings and lite crust. This place has great pasta as well and I loved the calzone, was not expecting the ricotta but it was a nice addition. Great rolls or garlic bread with the meal, fresh side salad and they have a killer Alfredo sauce. I always get extra!
Alfonso's forever. First Uber order ever to have every garnish for each dish. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, calamari, - which the sauce is in a league of its own! Shrimp Alfredo, Meatballs and marina are all a must order!
Closest food to NYC style. Love this place! Keep up the good work! The vodka sauce is on point!
We love this place! The food is amazing! The chicken alforno is a must-have. The house dressing is amazing!
First time eating here and took my family out for Friday night dinner. Food was tasty will definitely make this restaurant a family dinner night and date night location for my wife and I. Also, we enjoyed their live music that was being played. John Dosher was very good at his piano and singing. He does this Friday and Saturday nights. Highly recommend this place if looking for authentic Italian cuisine.
Crab cakes with lobster sauce is divine! Also the best Chicken Picata around!
My family have been eating take out from Alforno’s once a week since I was very young. This restaurant is easily the best Italian food in Flower Mound. The food is always ready on time for pickup and is always pipping hot! The pizza is delicious. I’ve tried almost every pasta dish and they are all divine — my favorite is the Chicken Murphy over spaghetti. Definitely a delicious staple in Flower Mound!
This has been a fave spot of ours to go for 20 years! The food is amazing and authentic. You can’t go wrong with any dish here. While the servers may be slightly less friendly, those ones have also been there for the 20 years we have been going. They are knowledgeable. Usually there is a man there is playing the keyboard and singing. Good ambiance!
The chicken bistro is fantastic! I drive from Frisco to get it whenever I can!
We have been dining in at Alforno’s since 1998. I am not much into writing reviews so this one is quite overdue. I have the following to say: If my mother were to make vegetarian Italian food, it would be like Alforno’s 🙂 Very nice food, very nice ambience. Service is always perfect. Much recommended.
Always love going here for Italian, for years now. Try the chicken bistro, lasagna, pizza - well, it’s all good!
Don't let the old fashion table cloths and wood paneled walls fool you. This place is the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover. The gluten free pizza was awesome, I'm so happy it wasn't dry cauliflower crust like many other restaurants. This pizza had substance and flavor, I enjoyed every bite. 🙌
Alforno’s did an outstanding job catering a recent church event for us. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Jay, the catering coordinator, was wonderful to work with. Communication was clear and timely, and he was very accommodating when we needed to make adjustments to meet a variety of dietary requirements. Delivery was right on time, and Jay even helped set everything up so everything looked great and was ready to go. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests, and everything was a big hit. We’re very grateful for their professionalism and the care they put into making our event run smoothly. I would highly recommend Alforno’s for catering!
Greatest Italian food in the area!!! Alfonso is a wonderful family owned restaurant. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very hard working, accurate and knowledgeable. Always a wonderful time here - and I highly recommend to all.
My husband and I went to Alfornos while visiting relatives in the area. We had the most delicious Chicken Parmesan, Penne Alla Vodka Sauce was to die for, and couldn’t resist a Lobster Ravioli which was also amazing. We finished off with the Tiramisu which was perfect. The meal reminded me of the old days in Little Italy NYC. Food made with love and a doting staff that made the whole experience unforgettable. Bravo to this family who have been there for 30 years 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely / True italian food made with Love. This family has been in Flower Mound since 1996 ^ again 96 - let that sink in. A staple in that community. We had the pleasure of meeting the Owner ^ Robert who in the truest essense is a master chief & Chef. The entire staff operates with such care towards every request you might have. Now let's get down to the food... The real Nitty Gritty !! We started with - Fried Calamari - light crispy & their REAL homemade tomatoe sauce- amazing ! Caesar Salad -w chicken / blended perfectly. Pizza - small pie - crispy crust / awesome. Main course we endulged : Penne ala Vodka ( sublime ) Lobster Ravioli ( out of this World ) Lastly - Dessert Cannoli ( w/ extra Chocolate syrup ) Tiramisu .....Yabba Dabba Doo!!! Highly Recommended. 10 star's
Alfonso is a wonderful family owned restaurant. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very hard working, accurate and knowledgeable. Over the years I have had so many of the dishes I cant keep track. The pizza is great. Good ingredients.. Great pepperoni. The spaghetti and other pasta dishes are delicious too. Linguine and clam sauce, The lobster ravioli and also my favorite, the manicotti. Always a wonderful time here.
We don't often find small italian restaurants that are unique and the food is freshly made. Everything was amazing. The lobster ravioli was delicious as was the chicken marsala. We will definitely be back.
This is a family owned Italian restaurant in Flower Mound, TX. I always enjoy their famous pizza with all the works (includes olives, jalapeños, meats, onions, etc). But this day, we enjoyed the lobster ravioli, which was a popular item in the menu. There was so much sauce to dip your garlic bread in it. Love this place. It is one of the best Iralian restaurants in the area. There was also entertainment.
Steve is an absolute rockstar and the reason we’ll be coming back! His exceptional knowledge of the complete menu blew us away he was able to answer every question with confidence and made spot-on recommendations that enhanced our entire dining experience. On top of that, his efficiency and attention to detail were unmatched. Steve managed to balance friendly service with incredible professionalism, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. And of course, the food was fantastic perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. But honestly, Steve’s service elevated everything to the next level. If you visit, make sure to ask for him. He’s a true gem, and we can’t wait to return!
This is a long overdue review of Alforno’s. We moved to Flower Mound over 25 years ago and have loved Alforno’s the entire time. I’ve lost count of the amount of food we’ve ordered. We usually do takeout, but have eaten there many times. Wonderful staff and incredible food. Pizza is great. Chicken Parmesan is great. Everything is great!!
We placed a large order for our company lunch. All orders were individually bagged, with person's name, boxed up carefully and made on time for pick up. Everything was prepared as ordered and there were no complaints. The small pizza (12") was enough for 2 ppl. The house salad dressing was the best I've had. The food was great. Thank you! We will be ordering from you again in the future.
Expensive plate of vegetarian Penne - $20+ They did accommodate my no oil pasta, no sugar, request. So, an option for vegans. Our waitress was in a different planet on Valentine's night. We ordered for two and wanted our food to arrive at the same time, which it did not. The menu was taken away from us straight away and no desserts were suggested nor was a dessert menu offered. Valentine's night - hello?? My wife's food was good according to her. Overall, we can't recommend this place: 1. Too pricey 2. Subpar wait staff 3. Mediocre atmosphere
One of my favorite Italian restaurants that I've dined at. Good for date nights. Low lighting and soft music. A very pleasant and attentive waitstaff. No complaints about the food. Best house dressing I've had. Best tomato basil creme sauce I've had. Portion size is more than adequate. Looking forward to revisiting!
I'm a Northeast girl that grew up with homemade Italian food, even the restaurants taste like homemade. At Alforno's I did have the chicken piccata, which was very tasty. I did enjoy the fact that it wasn't breaded. Yummy!
It was my first time visiting Alforno's, we went for my niece's birthday and I decided on the lasagna, It was just OK. On the menu it says beef lasagna but I really didn't see very much beef, It wasn't your typical lasagna and the sauce was a little bland. My appetizer was delicious, I had the cheese garlic bread with tomato oh also the garlic rolls are good too. Our server Jena was wonderful, matter of fact the whole wait staff that helped us was great I have no complaints on that. All in all our experience there was pleasant. It seems everybody enjoyed their food and had a really good time, I may be back.
There's not a bad dish on the menu. The staff is very friendly. Some evenings they have someone playing a piano. If you liked Alfredo's in Lewisville, you'll like this place.
Food was alright. Service was great. A bit expensive
The spinach ravioli only comes with 4 ravioli. Granted, they are great and handmade....but portion was so small even with the amazing garlic bread and small house salad.
It was a cute place. You could tell they take pride in the quality of their food. Their chicken alfornos was very good and had a very depth of flavor to it. The Cesar salad and rolls had a bit to be desired as they tasted like the it wasnt cooked enough to let the dough rise but their main dishes were full of flavor and tasted well
The chicken Alforno’s is awesome. Their cheese sticks r really good too. Service used to be great but for the last few years, it has been bad. My go to place for Italian food. Employee got mad at me cuz they made several mistakes with my to go order & asked them to remake them. Not paying $60 for 2 adult meals 1 kid meal & 2 r wrong! Get real & change ur attitude.
Had dinner here to celebrate my niece graduating. They were able to accommodate our party bit didnt look to busy at the time. Crab cakes ordered for appetizer where more breading than meat & the sauce was of a gravy consistency & flavor. The garlic rolls that were brought out where a little hard & difficult to chew. I did enjoy the Chicken Marsala & the service was great. We did get a hesitation & a displeasing look when the check was brought out. It was a party of 8 split in 3 separate bills. It was difficult to read & understand.
As soon as we walked in, they asked my kids if we were here for takeout. Based on the reviews, I didn’t expect this kind of treatment. The Alfredo was okay, and the other dishes were not impressive.
Waiter just made a lot of rude faces and wasnt very friendly. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Best part was actually the salad. I got the house dressing and it was like a very garlicky marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese! I thought it would be gross but it was delicious!
My wife and I have visited this place in the past 2 years 3 different times, and unfortunately, the consistency of lack of service and the stigma of prejudice seem to show forth each time we've visited. It's not blatant, but subtile - however elevated enough to be recognized each time we were served there. Examples of the treatment is being last to receive your drink order (water) while noticing your server had left, went to the kitchen, came back out with a water container, serve a couple more tables, go back to the kitchen, and THEN come back out 5 mins later finally with our water order. Mind you, a couple tables may have already been established, but a couple parties (as we observed the room) may have came after we did, but was rendered their drink order qnd bread before us. We've seen the bread that came out the prior times we were present were made a certain way (which we've noticed other tables received this past time) but when we got our bread, it looked very well done and pretty greasy from the oil and garlic. Again, my wife and I have been here 2 different times from a year or two apart hoping that maybe after the 1st time this place may have just had "bad days". With the hope of returning, we looked forward to better food and service but was disappointed each time. Food: my wife complained about the meal she had lacked flavor. She ordered thr chicken with crab meat and shrimp special they were advertising on their blackboard in the front. I pretty much have been consistent and ordered the lobster ravioli, and I can say that the sauce is consistent but sometimes the ingredients like the ravioli have not been. If it wasn't for one of the servers (that offered refills) to bring us a to go sack (in consideration of our welfare), this rating would be a step lower as our main server was pretty dismissive and underlined tolerant of our presence. Proof of my observation is asking another server to summon our server so that we could give our order (as my wife and I finally decided what we both wanted). I saw the requested server go to our main server to get his attention, and the reaction on his face was disgust (as if he didn't want to come over here)... Our server didn't know that where he stood, I could still see him! But instead of calling him out and elevating the issue, my hope was that my wife and I would just enjoy each other. My last example of feeling treated in a uncomfortable way is the hovering of our main server after bringing the check out for me to pay for our meal (as if we may walk out if he were to step away). I've realized that this is one of the places that may not want people like me and my wife around. We're people of excellence and respectful, but demographically we were the "different ones" in the room. I later observed how others were served. I noticed as a bi-product of our past experience how everything transpired and even later compared it to our last 2 times (that were months to years apart) to finally come to this conclusion: We tried to give this place 2 more chances, but ultimately, we should have went to Olive Garden or another reputable Italian restaurant. At least the live music was decent...
My Chicken Alfredo was very oily , couldn't even eat it. I threw it away.
I’ve been hearing so much about this local gem. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and while it was yummy, I think it lacked flavor. Though this is personal opinion but I felt it was lackluster. The salad was very yummy and fresh, and quite a bit portion which I liked. The bread was pillowy and soft with a buttery taste. Service was not good. I was not greeted when I walked in and shrugged off and the person handing my my order was rude and very dismissive. Wasn’t a fine in experience so maybe it’s different but I was not a fan of the service from walking in to out.
Food was ok. Stick to the pizza it was delicious, pasta was ok good portion size and the house dressing on their salad is a definite no. They should stick to a balsamic vinaigrette or Italian dressing. It was almost like a marinara sauce on salad very strange. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere was very dated and blah, a blast from 30 years ago. Service was fantastic very fast and attentive. Just the food didn’t hit the mark. It was ok nothing special. They also hand write their check/bill and their chip function doesn’t work on their credit card POS machine which got my credit card blocked. Perhaps time to invest in a proper POS system.
Based on reviews, I was really optimistic, but it did not deliver. Service from our waiter wasn't great, though other servers appeared to be more attentive to their tables. Pasta was bland. Appetizers were ok. Desserts were fine. The meal felt expensive for what we received. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area, but this isn't one I would return to.
The lobster ravioli was good, but the other pastas were bland and tasteless. Service was just okay.
Was hoping for a local neighborhood Italian place. Disappointed personally but lots of other locals seem to love it. Food was average but expensive for what you got. Decor is extremely dated.
Just recently tried this place on a whim looking for an Italian place. Right when we first walked in, something felt off. Waited by the hostess booth for awhile and the worker standing by booth just stared at us for a bit and didn’t say anything.. just grabbed two menus and we followed. After we sat down we waited a good 10 minutes just to see our waiter. He took our order and the remaining service was subpar. Could easily tell the difference on how our table was waited on compared to others. The other tables were met with friendliness and enthusiasm while ours felt like we don’t want you here vibes We tried to be really nice and understanding. Maybe they’re short staffed and having a bad day but even after considering we left dissatisfied with our experience here.
We ordered 2 of the chicken Alfredo’s and ordered extra Alfredo sauce. We got home and there was not extra sauce. I called and asked and they said it was in the dish. I laugh because I’d hate to know what the pasta is like without paying for extra sauce. The pasta lacked flavor. We also paid for garlic bread and it was hard and just not worth it.
Sadly this will be my last visit. I ordered carry out today and one of the entrees was chicken piccata. The chicken was tough and dry and very difficult to chew. There were way too many capers in this dish as well. Someone must have thought they were peas. I counted over 30 of them. This dish went into the garbage. What a waste of money. I have spoken to the owner Robert in the past due to having food being poorly packaged and leaking through the bag onto my car seats. Marinara not fun to clean up in ventilated seats. It happened one other time after speaking to Robert and I never heard from anyone so I stopped going. I lose money by going here! Today was my first time back after several months. So very disappointing.
I ordered online. I arrived after the time the food was supposed to be ready. They said they had no order from me. The guy went back into the kitchen and miraculously he found the order. Now, I know sometimes mistakes happen. Noone's perfect. However, the fact I placed the order and they had not yet started on the order, he made some excuse about the online system doesn't always work. OK, that's fine... But did he make any apologies about making me wait? No... And then after 30 minutes, he simply gives me my food. Again, no apologies. I don't know what's with that attitude about treating customers, but there are many other fine restaurants in the Flower Mound area who know how to treat customers properly... So will be going to other restaurants from now on. Also, on a prior visit, the waiter completed smelled of tobacco. It was very off-putting to the meal... Almost like being in a smoking section. We could overlook that but not someone who can't recognize when they are inconveniencing their customers.
I would give this place 0 stars. Horrible service. Workers were rushing us to order even though it was 8 PM. We barely got up from the table and everyone was leaving the building and the scent of cleaning supplies was overwhelming. Our server was not kind and didn’t offer any suggestions. Food was cold with no flavor. Bread was so hard. Seemed like whole jug of dressing was put on the salad. Very overpriced. Overall do not recommend.
I recently dined at Alforno's Italian Kitchen, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The food was lacking in flavor, leading me to wonder if anything was made fresh or if it all came from a can. It might appeal to those on salt-free or fat-free diets, but for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine, it simply doesn't deliver. To make matters worse, the customer service was quite disappointing. The staff was overly pushy and even brought us takeout boxes before we had finished our meals, which felt rushed and intrusive. Given that we were one of only three tables dining that day, it’s clear that the atmosphere was not welcoming. Overall, I cannot recommend Alforno's Italian Kitchen based on this experience, and I doubt I will be returning.
Stopped in to see what it was about. Not impressed. The tortellini which was frozen and not fresh made was overcooked and mushy and the cream sauce was really thick with no flavor. It actually began to break(separate) on my plate after it was served. My wife ordered the chicken special, chicken was dry and seemed to be drowned in the same bland cream sauce. It had a thick piece of mozzarella on it that was congealed. Will definitely not be back.
