The Johnny Cash burger is one of the best burgers I’ve had!!! BBQ, cheddar, shoestring onions, and bacon. Heaven in my mouth. The husband had a Steakhouse dip that he said was very good. My burger was better though. Lol

Great ambiance! Small pub with GREAT energy, lots of interesting beers on tap and YUMMYs from the kitchen! My taste buds were not disappointed. Nicely updated historical interior too!

10/10 place to eat! Food is amazing! The drinks are fantastic but that all I’m going to tell you! I knew nothing about this place going in, my wife and I just chose it one day and went there. Absolutely recommend trying it that way! This place is truly a hidden gem. Stop reading, go in and try it yourself. Seriously stop! 11/10 will be back again

Regarding the Johnny Cash burger, everything they mentioned was accurate. It would be ideal to have a cool beer to wash it down on a hot day. This is not a little burger, so bring your appetite. Even the tater tots are delicious—much better than the ones I used to give my kids from a frozen bag.

Fantastic food and drinks. Very cozy and enjoyable experience. Reasonable prices, burger and steakhouse dip were delicious! Will be coming back.

Johnny cash burger was excellent. Ordered one and an old fashioned during a happy hour with my work mates. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the tater tots that came as a side were incredible, crispy and didn’t even need sauce. Will definitely be coming back here for the food.

Samuel Horne's Tavern in Old Folsom was a great place to have a meal. Everything is good here. I had the cheeseburger, tots, and split pea soup. Plenty of parking out front and clean bathrooms. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Delicious food and cocktails! Highly recommend sitting out in the street seating during the summer months. Their burgers are super tasty and rich, and their salads are entire heads of lettuce!

Really fantastic burgers. The pretzel sticks were super good. Also, love the cajun parmesan tots!! The two young ladies working were super friendly and helpful. It was our first time here and we will be back for sure!

Great beer selection and amazing bar tenders. All local beers and very helpful with there hoppy to malty and pale to dark rates on the wall. Personal love showing friends this place. The Johnny cash burger is my favorite burger hands down. I only wish they had more space inside.

This place is always great. Staff is friendly and the burgers are amazing. Great rotating beer list and usually offers something the surrounding bars won’t have on tap. Full bar looks good, looks like they have some nice whiskey. Only set back is it’s a little small and can get busy but it’s worth waiting for a seat, usually isn’t too long either.

We stopped for an early lunch. The Steakhouse Dip was delicious. The tater tots were the crunchiest I have ever had. A really great beer selection with good descriptions. My son had the Elk burger and enjoyed it too.

Great pub bar/restaurant in downtown Folsom that has Trivia I think on Tuesday nights! Came here on a Saturday to celebrate a friends birthday in their outside patio and it’s great for all ages and families. They have Pliny the Elder! And some really good eats, I got the special corn beef sandwich with their tots as a Side that are popular. They have tons of brews on top and good options to choose from burgers, salads, and sandwiches. There’s street parking and some parking lots and a garage nearby. Service is great and quick! They’re very Knowledgeable and they deliver your food and you can order take out.

Help ordering, great recommendations, … the bacon was crisp, cheese was thick sliced, recommended medium- temp perfect. The fries were so good. Salted, peppered, and I had the bacon blue cheese. Hit me again!! Side full order of green chili fries. Dang!!! Spicy. Crisp fresh potatoes. … and sliders at the table. Standard fries hit the mark as well. The four stars in atmosphere were just the pub smell… partially expected, somewhat overwhelming when food was my first intent for walking in. Forgiven- but could earn that fifth star pretty easily. We ate streetside tables because we had the pup with us. They even brought out a pup water bowl. I’d give a sixth star on service if I could.

Loved that the bartender gives you samples of the different brews to help in making a selection. The food was great! My husband got the Johnny Cash burger (delicious!!) and I got the Steakhouse Dip sandwich (equally delicious!!). The bartender accidentally put my order in as the Steak & Peppers sandwich, so I was able to take a bite of that one as well; don't get that unless you REALLY like spicy food. When the bartender realized her error, she put in the correct order and the kitchen took care of it very quickly. We would definitely return and recommend Sam's to others. A few things to note: seating is limited and you head to the bar to place your orders.

Tucked into old folsom on Sutter Street is this treasure. They have beer and other cocktails. They also have food. I highly recommend their tots. Wow, they're super crispy with every bite. The food was hot and came out on cute plates. Our service was great. The Tavern has amazing service and good vibes. Recommend.

Our favorite in Old Folsom. Love their beer scale chalkboard with the scale showing hoppy v malty AND the alcohol content. Beer is delish and we respect it. Food is great too! Discovered their fancy mayonnaise on the last visit- basil aioli! Yummm And it’s in a very cool old building.

Ordered the Johnny Cash Burger and Blue Cheese and Bacon Tots. Also got an Angels Envy bourbon which they obligingly put on a single old fashioned ice cube. Everything was great, with no complaints, and I consider myself quite discerning with food and drinks. As I told the barkeep "you'd do fine in NOLA and I don't say that lightly."

I love this small local tavern. Their burgers and tots are the best. They have a daily "tot special". The staff is friendly. It's not huge so if you have a very large group, during peak hours, you might want a backup plan. There is a small amount of outdoor seating.

Great selection of rotating craft beer! The food was good but not fantastic. We have visited twice for lunch over just a few days so it was that good :) seating inside and out in beautiful old town Folsom.

Always wanted to try this place. We decided to get it & I was feeling like having a salad that day. I asked if they can add tri tip to the salad (since they have other tri tip plates) they said they couldn’t, but said they could add steak. I said sure, but it ended up being ground beef. The salad was better than I thought, I just thought it was funny that they added ground beef. Also based on the customer service experience in person, I couldn’t give 5 stars

Fun spot. Never been but went with a group for trivia night. First time and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately it was during the homecoming parade so getting in and finding parking was a bit of a challenge but after it was all smiles. Definitely a spot to hang out with friends. Nice downtown area too.

I enjoyed the Johnny Cash burger! Very good tasting! The fries are mediocre at best. They seem to have a diverse selection of beers (I'm not a drinker). There's not a whole lot of room to sit inside, so, do be careful of bringing a group larger than 4. Worth checking out at least once!
