This was my 2nd visit here. First experience was as great as today. Today I tried their all you can eat sushi menu. I went with 3 people +1 child - and their offerings did not disappoint. Everything we tried was delish! Portions were perfect. My two fav’s: 49’er roll and Pink Lady. I like this place a lot- it’s now one of my top 3 places to eat sushi 🍣
The all you can eat has a great array of different sushi's and the service is absolutely amazing. Our server was always checking in with our table ready to take our next order. Only downside is that the price of the all you can eat has increased by 9 dollars in the past year from 21 to 30 dollars a person.
I keep forgetting to make this review but this place is awesome! Staff are really professional, nice and quick on their feet. Every waiter we've ever had for the last couple years has been wonderful. We always go during their all you can eat a little disappointed they took the eel off that all you can eat but everything is Awesome!! My personal favorites are the Firecrackers and Red hawk roll. My husband's favorites are the Jack number 2 roll, the squid salad and Gyoza.
The waiter was very pleasant, didn't come by the table too often but just enough. My friend and I had the miso soup and shared an order of gyoza (potstickers). I ordered the spicy tuna and cucumber rolls. My friend was a little more adventurous and ordered the Hisui house special roll... We both split an order of green tea ice cream. Everything exceeded expectations. I will have to come back.
In the winter if you go there early for lunch the place is very cold. I think they need to heat up the restaurant before they let the customers in because it was very cold and uncomfortable.
WOW, What a find!!! Just minutes from my home and I have never realized such a great sushi restaurant existed. Our regular sushi joint has just changed ownership so we were looking for a new high quality sushi experience so we went to google. Found this place and tried 4 rolls an appetizer and a hand roll. ALL were wonderful. So much to choose from that I have my next two rolls decided on and a few more appetizers as well. We're excited to go back again and look forward to this becoming our new go-to place.
I just love this place. I wear stretchy pants and don't eat breakfast to do the all you can eat lunch. I am a huge fan of the salmon and smoke salmon nigiri here - like butter, good quality. They have gluten free soy sauce/tamari and accommodate my allergies. My coworkers enjoy the more artistically composed rolls that I am allergic to. The all you can eat menu is well-rounded for sushi compared to other places. They also have vegan/veggie sushi options on the full menu. You can order 5 items at a time so I am strategic about getting that order in so that it comes out promptly when I'm done with the previous 5 (serious sushiage!). I can put down what would be $100 of sushi off the menu so the all you can eat is totally worth it. Price has gone up over the years from about $16 now to $18 and change. Some of our more delicate flowers won't eat enough to justify all you can eat. Assess the value if you possess self-control or a tiny tummy. Service has improved. It's never been bad but we've been in where it felt a little slow. Last time I was in on a Friday for lunch and got in before the Intel table of 15 (yikes!). Service was fast and we were never lacking food or drink refills.
The best sushi in Folsom. Fresh, consistent, excellent rolls, great service, and comparatively best pricing.
I always have a consistent experience here. I get a half full restaurant. I get great attentive service. I get high quality product. I never do the all you can eat. I prefer a Chirashi Don bowl that comes with 7 different seafood varieties. My wife likes one big roll and they have plenty of innovative rolls here as well. I drive 10 miles to this place... Because it is good. Maybe not top 2% ... But very good. And priced competitively.
This is my new favorite sushi restaurant. The quality of seafood is very high. The fish is like butter! Every time I’ve eaten here it’s been great and the service is fast and friendly. I love that it’s still a fairly calm place to eat and I can enjoy my meal and time. I’ve done both the all you can eat (AYCE) and regular.
I come here more than I should probably admit. The sushi is always fresh, and the service is just as good. These days I usually grab takeout since I work on the road, but every time I pass by, my car somehow pulls into their lot on its own (very bizarre). Everything I have tried has been great. One tip, if you like a little kick, ask for jalapenos on your roll. You will not be disappointed.
First off, this place is worth every star. Service, excellent. Quality, excellent. Quantity, excellent. Value, excellent!!! Variety, excellent. We came on a Sunday for lunch, got the last table for the first wave. We will definitely be back, with friends and family. I usually don't give 5 stars the first time, but there is no reason not to. Our server Austin was great. We had our first order of sushi in less than 3 minutes!!!
Great sushi place in and around Folsom. We love their buffet. There California rolls and 49ers are mouth watering. We also like Meso soup too. A must visit if you are a Sushi fan.
Impressive. Presentation, layers of flavors, expedited service...the freshness of the fish... we were told by friends " its good." Its actually F***in amazing. It tastes better than it looks... thank you. 11/03/2022 was our first time, not our last.
Went for all you can get sushi for lunch and it was all so good!! Wasn't a huge fan of the chicken skewers but tried almost all the rolls and everything was fresh and delicious! Great serive will be returning
Nice staff, clean dining area, neat food presentations, and just fresh and good flavors. The Unagi Roll was so simple and yet so flavorful. The Tuna Poke was mildly flavored and simply delicious. I recommend.
The food here is very, very, good! When I walked in the staff was very nice and greeted me well. The place seemed very clean, and it was fun to see all the beautiful decorations. The waiter was kind as well and gave us time with ordering, not rushing us at all. I ordered chicken teriyaki, with fried potatoes, and a salad. It was so delicious! Usually teriyaki can be either too overpoweringly sweet, or on the more bland side for me. This sauce they used was a perfect balance. I was very pleased with my food.
This place is fantastic! I’m from San Diego and love sushi and this place is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality, freshness and flavor of each item we ordered was amazing. We ordered the crispy rice, the Johnny Cash and the Wildfire. And we got in immediately on a Friday night at 7! We will be coming back.
Went here for all you can eat sushi. Service was SO fast. You can order 5 items at a time and by the time we were done eating our 5th, our waiter came and asked what we wanted next. The fresh nigiri was so good. As a salmon lover, I would like to see more salmon (raw) rolls but there is a wide variety of rolls to choose from. Miso soup is not on the menu but you can request it if you want it. Overall, I left with a full belly and it was a great experience.

Super fresh fish. Can taste the difference. Fast service. All you can eat is a great option.
This place is always consistently excellent. We went to the all you can eat at lunch yesterday again. The service is outstanding and the quality of the food was great. It always smells so clean when we go in there! That is important to me. All of our fish favorites are on these rolls for all you can eat. We always finish with the fried bananas which are included. So good.
Delicious food is a good way to describe your eating experience here, but it doesn't quite cover the totality of how good it actually is. The setting is nothing special, however, the food is very special! The service is great and the wait times are some of the lowest anywhere! By the time you get done ordering what you want to eat, it's practically already being brought to your table. The menu may or may not be as extensive as similar places, but the portions compared to the prices, you'll get far more food for your funds. Did I mention how absolutely good the food is? Well, it can't be overstated.
The fish is always fresh and the service is impeccable. The best part though is that it's ALL YOU CAN EAT. We eat here at least once per month and they never miss.

We love coming here. This has been our favorite place out here near Folsom and El Dorado hills since we moved out here over 3 years ago, but lately we've noticed that the rolls have gotten much larger. It's one thing We don't like to see.Otherwis,. This would still be our favorite spot if it wasn't for that
One of the better options in the area, many options on menu, and creative rolls. Nice portions, and prompt service. Located in the ranch 99 parking lot. It’s easy to find and has plenty of parking. Go stop for sake and quick bites or dinner.
Nice restaurant with good Japanese options. Always good service. Outside of eating in, they have take out and an all-you-can eat menu. Outside of Japan, it’s my local go-to.

We enjoyed the hole in one (spicy!), jalapeño hamachi, and Johnny cash sushi rolls. The lemon slice was a unique addition to the Johnny cash roll that added some nice acidity to the fatty salmon. *drool* The sesame chicken rice bowl was a little on the sweet side with many small pieces of chicken. Okay for the price. Excellent service, clean, and efficient.

Ok for fast food sushi. Great service.
Definitely Not worth it. Unfortunately , the first time we tried the restaurant was Saturday, they are busy and only 4 people taking care of the full dinning area. The ALL you can eat is like a joke. We order the nigiri and rolls, and every round took at least 20 mins to get the food. And only 2 rounds and took us 2 hours to have them. Not content at all and time consuming. Food quality is so so. 30 dollars a person is definitely not worthy it.
I’ve been here probably 20-30 times over the past year. The people are very friendly. It’s almost always a great experience overall, if not a bit costly. However, they must’ve used poor quality fish the last time I visited, as I got food poisoning almost immediately after leaving the restaurant. This was after an empty stomach, so there’s no doubt it was this place.
Went to try their ayce and didn't like how much rice was in their Nigiri sushi. The rice was cold and bland plus we will get charged if we don't finish the rice...I've never had that much rice in my nijiri sushi before! It's honestly hard to swallow bc it's cold and tasteless like there was not enough vinegar or moisture...not going back! The chicken satay was okay but if it was grilled, it would have tasted better. It's like oven bake kind of taste. The service was good but the foods...I've had better. I'll go to Kura instead.

Dropped by here after reading reviews but left disappointed. The best thing I could compare it to is gas station sushi with extra sauce/garnish. The rice did not taste fresh either. Unfortunately we’ll not be back but I do hope we visited on a off night.

Bro people be tripping. The ayce sushi not even decent. Food was not great either. Service was fast and it's nice inside but I think there are too many solid choices. Sorry. Step your game up for the asking price or drop it 10 or so and then you are where you should be in terms of quality and price. Went here on a YouTube or reddit review. Yeah...this is a no fly zone for me
Talk about fall of a shining star. Five years ago, I would’ve rated this place.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was what I would consider one of the best sushi restaurants in the Sacramento region. I rated them against Sky (EDH) and Kru (Sac), even above the popular Mikuni chain. After Covid, there has been a steady decline in service and quality. My family and I stayed loyal, all the way until last night. When we first started going, I just figured the restaurant was new and needed time to build. Since then, the decor has not progressed beyond what you would expect from a strip mall diner. The service used to be absolutely stellar. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The newer employees treat you more like you’re a nuisance and would rather adjust your bill versus just correcting the order. Normally, I enjoy dining in, but I also have a large family so we do a lot of takeout. On my last two experiences, one dine in and one takeout, the person taking my order missed an item. (The first time it was my personal meal and by the time I realized my meal wasn’t coming, my family was mostly done with their meals. The second time was just a side order of rice for takeout). Most of the time I can let sloppy decor and poor service slide, as long as the food stays of superior quality. This is why I’m finally giving Hisui a rating. The fish was so poor quality, I may have been safer with gas station sushi last night. After spending over $100 for a dinner, I just couldn’t just not eat the sushi. I definitely suffered the consequences for my actions though… repeatedly. I would not rank myself as a sushi, connoisseur, but I am definitely a great admirer of the dish. If I wanted this quality of sushi, I could go to a South Sacramento all you can eat buffet for half the price. If I want to spend this much for dinner, I’d just as soon go up to Sky or Mikuni’s instead. At least there I know the quality is going to match the $. It’s sad to see such a once great establishment fall to its current status. My family won’t be going back any time in the foreseeable future.
I have been coming to Hisui since 2018 and the quality and variety for the all you can eat was great at a good price. They are cutting corners like portion of fish, more rice and crab. They think they can cut corners and still charge the same price as your competitors while they’re not cutting corners is ridiculous The service is not good anymore. I just went to Umi in Roseville and paid the same price for more variety and better cuts of fish. Hisui used to have eel and smoked salmon and they have removed it due to “costs” yet they still increase the price of AYCE. If you want good AYCE go to Umi or Raku. Never coming here again.
I have been eating at Hisui Suishi for years. Unfortunately, when they changed ownership, the sushi chefs changed also. I don't know who's decision that was but it wasn't good for business. I ordered my usual roll and was very disappointed that it wasn't the same. As a matter of fact, it wasn't edible. I ate a few pieces and threw the rest out. I won't be back unless the other chefs return. I wish the restaurant the best and hope they can make corrections to stay in business. The people are nice. Food isn't good anymore.
We’ve been coming here regularly since they first opened in 2016. Things have been going downhill in the past year. Unfortunately tonight will be our last. Very poor service. It was only half full and took 45 mins before any food arrived. One of the rolls had tuna that was brown and leathery. I’ve never sent a roll back but something was not right. The manager was initially reluctant to take the roll off the bill saying it was normal. If that was normal then I can’t ever go back 🤮
The place is nice & the people but the quality of food was not good. This is by far the worst sushi place I have been too. I would not recommend to anyone if someone asked for a good sushi spot. The only good thing I enjoyed was my Gyoza & sprite. The steak teriyaki lacked seasoning The sushi was not the best quality.
Came here months ago and saw the owner force a disabled child on crutches to get up and walk across the restaurant to a different table so they can seat a large party together to keep their business. Management clearly does not care about their customers and only wants money. Quality of nigiri was very poor and rubbery, mainly rice. Seats were ducked tape together and the tape pulls on your skin— the inside is not maintained at all and is deteriorating. There was only one server working and they looked very stressed and upset. This restaurant is disgusting and an absolute joke to sushi restaurants, you’re better off finding sushi from the Safeway dumpster. Take your business to a place that actually cares about their customers and doesn’t treat their employees poorly.
We used to really like this place for their AYCE sushi, but it has really gone downhill lately. Price is almost double from what it used to be (it’s now $30) and the nigiri now has the tiniest pieces of fish I’ve ever seen! Large piece of rice, but tiny sliver of fish …. not the way it should be served at all. Sadly we won’t be back because they are now skimping way too much on the fish yet charging substantially more.
I’ve been to so many sushi buffet in California and this is by far the worst. First the service was absolutely trash my girl friend and I got there 45 minutes before they closed and were told we had 10 minutes by the OWNER to Order and eat and that we couldn’t get the all you can eat only up to 2 rounds smh even though we are paying full price then the server rushed us out by forcing us to order all our rolls and one time giving us literally 30 seconds to look over there Wack menu never going back here again would not recommend and the rolls were terrible
