Really nice place, tasty Bubba and excellent service Specially Lizbon she’s really nice.
Honestly ive tried poke all across nyc, and this is by far one of the best poke spots. The portion sizes are huge and $14.9 for a bowl with two proteins is crazy affordable. The ingredients are always fresh. This location never misses!
Great poke spot! Reviewing after my third visit. Unlimited number of toppings unlike other poke places! Just gotta pay extra for that avocado. Food is fresh, staff is friendly and competent, store is clean, and good selection of other food/drink items!
Poke offers a fresh, customizable take on Hawaiian poke bowls, and it's definitely a go-to for quick, healthy meals. The ingredients are always vibrant and flavorful—especially the tuna and salmon, which taste super fresh. Their wide variety of toppings (from seaweed salad to spicy mayo and crispy onions) makes it easy to build a bowl that’s both satisfying and unique every time. Service is typically fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and modern, whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Portion sizes are generous for the price, and they don’t skimp on protein. If you’re a fan of sushi or just looking for a light, delicious lunch option, Pokework is a solid choice. Just be ready to get addicted to those sauces—they're dangerously good.
Love it. Fills me up, healthy, tasty, options galore, more for your buck, First time a tip is worth it. Kids behind the counter really lay it thick, and do it with pride. I ordered the large, i can eat, I left full. Talk about a food eatong experience
My first experience with poke, and Pokeplus exceeded my expectations. You are offered a surprising array of ingredients with which to build a bowl to your exact tastes. All ingredients are fresh, and service was welcoming and friendly. The location is right around the corner from 71st-Continental Ave subway station, and Queens Blvd bus service all give easy access. Unless you are already accustomed to exotic ingredients, be prepared for a surprising new and delightful cuisine.
Great food, great portions, great people! Not reinventing the wheel by any means when it comes to your average fast casual poke joint but the fish is super fresh, there’s infinite options for customizability and I have yet to leave without having a friendly conversation with one of the employees working the counter. Highly recommend and looking forward to future visits of my own!
Cool spot to check out! Like the wall decor; seats are a bit stiff but that’s par for the course. The poke here absolutely hits the spot ^_^ their ahi tuna is particularly fresh. The bubble tea, tho? I’m about to try it after I post this review; stay tuned! Update: the taro bubble tea is DOPE. Absolutely love it.
Been here about 5 or 6 times and the food has been great every time. Fresh and delicious. Service is always quick and friendly.
I came here with my family for the first time and we had such an amazing experience here. The food was fresh and tasty. The employees here are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a nice and clean environment. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for something to eat around the area
I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and everything is perfect. Staff is extremely nice and will do whatever you need them to. Fresh and clean food absolutely great. Now for the idiots giving 1 stars and saying bad food. Make it make sense, they build their OWN bowl and then call it trash.the stupidity in people honestly is just unfathomable. And the staff is nothing but nice at the least normal. All they ask is what can I get for you, if that’s rude then you’re the softest human in NY. Food is great you should come here and ignore the bad reviews because the people who left 1 stars especially the peanuts for brains dude who said it’s $100+ is completely untrue.
Omg the place is amazing! The staff is very welcoming! Everything looks fresh! Portions are very decent compared to other places. Will definitely be back. Mai is amazing, give her a raise :)
Poki Place consistently delivers fresh, well-balanced bowls with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The portions are generous, the flavors are clean and satisfying, and the service is efficient and friendly. It’s a reliable spot for a good, no-fuss meal that feels both healthy and filling.
This is the best poke bowl I've ever had, these guys ACTUALLY do it right. I've eaten poke in Japan, I've eaten poke in Hawaii, and I will tell you why Pokeplus gets it, because most of NYC doesn't: > The fish and sauce are mixed separately to the toppings (not Chipotle-style) > The rice stays nice and hot while the fish stays cool > The rice is also high-quality. Yes it makes a big difference. > Spicy options and sauces galore > The bowls are pretty, for dine-in and take-out – you're probably not paying for that, but poke is the pride and joy of BEAUTIFUL Hawaii, it should be pretty. > The most important part by FAR: the ingredients are CLEARLY FRESH, even their spicy tuna uses whole chunks of tuna (if your spicy tuna roll looks like paste, that means they are using old tuna because they grind it up and mix in the spiciness....and if they're cutting costs there, then you can guess the rest) Poke is really hard and expensive to get right, and it's rare (especially in NYC) to get a gem like this that puts so much care into the bowls. Seriously, I've lived in the neighborhood for years and whoever else said "go to Kissfish" has no idea what they're talking about, probably ordered tofu over rice (please no offense vegans). I also met Lee at the shop earlier this year, hard-working guy, hadn't opened a restaurant before and took a shot on this because the man loves poke, and it shows. Anyway, I never write reviews but I saw some negative ones on here and wanted to set the record straight. But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself and say hi to Lee!
Best Poke in NYC! And thats coming from someone who tried a lot of Poke in Hawaii. The servers are all nice and the portions are never stingy. Worth traveling to!!
If you're a poke bowl lover like me, this spot is a must-try! Best poke bowl I’ve had in Queens. Super friendly staff, tons of topping and sauce options, and everything was fresh and delicious.
I recently tried a poke bowl for the first time and I was blown away by how delicious it was! The combination of fresh fish, rice, and veggies was absolutely mouthwatering. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the portion size was generous. I loved how customizable the bowl was, allowing me to choose my favorite toppings and sauces. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant for another poke bowl soon. Five stars!
The food and the staff were exceptional. From what I’ve noticed the 1 stars are from the delivery drivers who are bitter about the countless amount of times the staff has had to tell them to put the outdoor seating chairs back into place or to leave the chairs for the customers. I’ve been here many times and almost always have witnessed an encounter where these drivers have been disregarding what the staff has said, feeling entitled. I believe this place has really good food and the people who work there treat you like a friend and I will continue to suggest this place to more people.
Very friendly service, food was very fresh and delicious. They let you get 3 proteins instead of 2 like most poke bowl spots! They have many toppings available and it was all very fresh. Also very clean. Will 100% be back!
I love poke bowls so once I walked by and spotted a new poke spot in forest hills I had to try it out. Did not disappoint. I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp bowl. Tasted really fresh and the toppings are filling. Loved the sauces as well. Had to get a delivery to my house and the food tasted the same as if you got it in person. Honestly really amazing and tasty. This will be my go to spot for now on.
casual build-your-own type place with many topping options. I love the sticky white rice with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, pineapple and loads of veggies. it’s such a refreshing lunch/dinner when I’m in a crunch.
Came here for the first time — and I was really impressed! Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully put together. I built my own bowl with spicy salmon, scallop , and spicy tuna — the combo was absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly, explained everything and helped me choose. The place is clean, cozy, and has a nice vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try more combos!
The food was fresh, the shop was very clean and lots of seating, not crowded or cramped. Would recommend for a great Poke bowl.
We love this place! It’s so convenient and it’s the perfect healthy and filling meal that doesn’t make you feel bloated. Alana made my last two bowls and it kept us coming back. Jasmine made our bowls today and they’re fantastic. Highly recommend this spot.
Am super happy to have found this store. It's my second time back ordering their poke bowl Yuzu Ahi. The dressing is so addictive and refreshing! 😋 In addition, their ingredients are truly fresh and have great combination. This time around I made sure I have a photo to share here. ☺️
Tucked away into the less crowded block next to 71st avenue is Pokeplus a seemingly long spacious poke place. Just ask for every topping you can get (as long as its free of course), and always go in person to order. It is just like chipotle, if you arent there to pressure them they will skimp you on the meat.
The food was amazing, the young lady that made my bowl Amberlee was so nice and patient considering it was my first time trying poke. I will definitely be coming more often and trying different bowls
This is my favorite poke spot in Forest Hills! The staff is always friendly and courteous, and the restaurant is kept very clean. The portion sizes, even for the small bowls, are generous. My top pick is the YuZu Ahi Bowl—it’s light, refreshing, and has just the right touch of sweetness from the pineapple. Perfect for summer! Highly recommended.
This poke bowl is a flavor explosion! Fresh rice, vibrant seaweed salad, juicy cucumber, and sweet crab sticks create a delicious base. The crushed nuts add a satisfying crunch, while the creamy avocado brings a luxurious touch. Served simply with two forks, it's a quick, healthy, and utterly satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
I’m so happy Pokeplus opened close enough to work, my gym, and 15-20 minute ride from home. I’ve tried another poke spot on Austin Street and I wasn’t a fan and also had a stomach ache. There’s a lot of variety to choose from when building your own bowl and the staff gives a good & generous portion. It’s never crowded during the times I go which I like because I can enjoy my lunches peacefully. Staff is very nice and efficient. Clean space and great spot for a quick healthy fix.
I had a bowl, mango slush, and bubble tea. The bowl is very fresh. I like that they had a lot of options for protein, mixins, and sauce. I devoured the food in 15 minutes. The workers were amiable and patient, too. The establishment was spotless. The mango slush was very refreshing. I would come here again when I'm in town.
Delicious fresh bowls. Rude staff ignored the uber eats delivery guy. Constantly rolling their eyes for any request. I recommend picking up to avoid the uncomfortable treatment.
I had been wanting to taste this Poke restaurant since some time ago. The ingredients are fresh and delicious! I had half brown rice and half veggies, 3 proteins. I chose spicy tuna, spicy salmon and shrimp. I chose a bit of the majority of veggies except the jalapeño and avocado and a dash of wontons for topping. As for the sauce, I like spicy mayo and didn’t see it! To me that’s what spices up a poke bowl. It was a good experience!
I ordered a regular sized poke bowl which included 2 choices of protein. I got spicy salmon and tuna but protein portions are small compared to other places for the same price. I picked 2 sauces to go over everything and the bowl still ended up being on the drier side especially over rice. Portions for toppings are also very small. All I tasted was the crispy onions and garlic.
Pokeplus has dramatically reduced the size of its large poke bowls while keeping prices exactly as they were. I'd say this clamshell is half the original size that used to be filled to the brim. This is an unethical way to deal with inflation and operating costs. For this reason a 5 star food experience has turned into a 3 star review.
I am putting my review on Google instead of the delivery app. This is the 3rd time there was a foreign object in my food. First time was a piece of blue plastic. I shrugged it off thinking maybe when they were emptying an ingredient piece of the plastic fell in. 2nd time there was a hair, I shrugged it off cause I was so hungry it’s whatever it’s not like they wear hairnets there anyways. 3rd time there was a STAPLE! I was chewing and felt something crunchy so I picked it out and it was a full on piece staple. Like WHAT. I know they stable their bags shut for delivery but then how did the staple end up inside my food 5 bits deep into my bowl! I really enjoy the food but there is too much different ingredients and too much different flavors going on to know exactly what I’m eating, I’m scared of what else is mixed in with the food. Please look in your bowl and on every piece of bite you put in your mouth before swallowing.
Ordered on door dash and they completely messed up the bowl, they switched ingredients and added shrimp to a bowl of someone that is allergic, would avoid on uber or DoorDash. Also very little meat when ordering online.
I have ordered from DoorDash multiple times and never had a issue but today was the first and last time I’ll be ordering from here. Not sure if there’s someone new preparing my food but wasted about 30 dollars for this and threw it all away because all I was eating was soaked up spicy chipotle sauce juice. I asked for chicken and shrimp and barely got any chicken mostly shrimp. This was the worst experience and the refund DoorDash wants to offer is ridiculous
