I'll briefly summarize our experience at La Baita. The food was excellent, well-prepared, beautifully presented, and of excellent quality. The location was beautiful, clean, and quiet, with both indoor and outdoor dining options. A plus for being able to bring your dog along. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to their customers. The prices were reasonable and in line with the quality (excellent). In short, and without further ado, it was an excellent experience that I will definitely repeat.

We had pizza and the local potato tart prathapfla. Pizza is in Piemonte style, with thick fluffy dough and small diameter.. It is not the style we like but this is what you find in this region. The other dish was also delicious but kind of small. The red house wine was delicious. If you don't especially want pizza, I would suggest the guesthouse next door for the local options, larger, prettier, more options, and maybe even a bit cheaper.

We ate reasonably well, with decent portions. I ordered the braised beef, but I didn't like it very much: the sauce was too acidic, as if the soffritto hadn't been cooked enough. When it came time to pay, my husband paid €48 for two people, which seemed quite high for what we ate. When we got home, I checked the receipt and noticed we'd been charged a cover charge for five people, so €10. It seemed like a real rip-off. I recommend being careful when paying and always checking your receipt.

Disappointing meal. The interior is renovated and pleasant. The girl serving the tables was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a negative: we ordered a plate of Piedmontese braised beef ravioli, which I thought was pre-cooked and reheated, and a plate of Walser pasta, which seemed like a half-portion and completely unrelated. Poor value for money.

Mountain hut dishes, tagliatelle with venison and so-so Walser pasta. Friendly service, certainly very courteous and kind. They also make pan pizza, which we haven't tried, but it looks good. Reasonable prices.
