This is the best place for a quick and delicious meal. I go at least two times a week and if I can’t go I order and every single time the food is amazing. This is one of the best Chinese foods I ever will have. The fried rice is cooked to perfection and the chicken always comes in good portions sizes. I wish they had more locations so I don’t have to travel so far. And I highly suggest the honey garlic chicken with the pork fried rice and you can’t forget that house salad with there ginger dressing. 10/10

Asahi restaurant has become our families go to! This location has excellent lunch and dinner specials. Our food is always fresh and steaming hot. I highly recommend the General Tso’s Chicken. The chicken pieces are large chunks and delicious. The Lo Mein is my wife’s favorite. We highly recommend the shrimp or chicken Lo Mein. The egg rolls and soups are great. A standard portion is served with all lunch/dinner specials. All of the employees provide kind service and answer any questions I have. With every visit we feel welcomed upon entry. This is our favorite local Chinese and Japanese restaurant. They have excellent prices and provide some of the best Chinese in Sunrise, Florida. Thank you for proving outstanding food and service to our family.

I used to go here 10yrs ago, in my opinion they have the best spicy tuna roll. I moved to NYC and everything has changed so much. Today I decided to go see if they were still there and they are. I was so excited and even though I've been a vegetarian for 1.5yrs, I just had to get my fave rolls. The Spicy Tuna and JB Roll. They are still as kind and attentive as ever. I recommend, their menu is affordable so if you want good food and don't want to break the bank come here. I suggest trying the spicy tuna roll. I've gone to sushi restaurants in NYC, one that was 33$ per person, and never found a place that makes a better spicy tuna roll. Don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself.

I always knew Asahi Sushi on Commercial Blvd was excellent. Absolutely fresh, melt in your mouth sushi and excellent service. But I truly appreciate their overall excellence since moving out of Tamarac and into Boca Raton. After several very disappointing attempts at finding the same quality sushi that pleases every single time in this area we have given up. We have resigned ourselves to the undeniable fact that we will have to travel back to Asahi on Commercial Blvd to enjoy sushi again. True story make no mistake.

Very rarely the rice was not cooked properly. This was so on my order this Sunday. The white rice was not fluffy and a bit undercooked.

I have had lunch at this restaurant many times. I had the honey garlic chicken with the honey on the side as a dipping sauce. Crisp and delicious. Service is very caring. Very enjoyable lunch.

The sushi boats are huge and the fish was fresh. They're only offering takeout at this point. This was the boat for 2.

All of the ingredients, including the vegetables and brown rice were fresh and flavorful. My steamed dumplings appetizer was perfectly cooked. My chicken and mixed vegetable healthy menu with garlic sauce was as "good as it gets".

Their food is always 10/10. Our delivery driver (Uber) was missing a meal from our order, Asahi delivered it for us personally. Therefore, they get 100/10 for caring about their customers. THANK YOU Asahi. That is why we will keep ordering from you.

So I lived in Sunrise back from 2016-2018 and I ordered and dined here many times. I moved to Deerfield and could never find anything like it. Saturday night about 11:30 the options are limited and Asahi came up on Uber Eats and then it all came back. I remembered it and how much I loved it. So I ordered and it brought me back. Every single element I was looking for I received. I don’t like the taste of frozen vegetables in my entree. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce. The shrimp were firm with that perfect bite to them. The vegetables were fresh and the carrots were not mushy. The eggroll had all the flavors of a fresh made egg roll. I kept telling my husband that I couldn’t stop thinking about the food because it was amazing. It reminded me of growing up in the early 90’s when you could order and it was still really good. Well we ordered again tonight. I got the same meal he got the Singapore noodles and he suffering from a heat head high and is so happy because it was the level of Hot he has been looking for. in the past five years I can honestly say that we probably have tried 30 different places to try to get that flavor that we had growing up. Asahi did it. He was intrigued because Saturday night after I ordered my food and I was eating it. I was so happy. And I couldn’t stop talking about it because I was craving it Sunday so he suddenly says you know let’s order it again. He’s been blown away. And he really is a flavor snob, he needs the heat. He needs that fire. He needs that Euphoric buzz from hot food. And now he’s gotten it. All I can say is I am so happy that him and I can both agree on takeout. That is amazing, Is fresh, and makes you want to order more. Literally right away. I totally forgot about this place since I moved away in 2017, but I am so happy that I found it again.

I am editing my past review from 3 stars to 5 stars because I had food delivered from there yesterday and the food was so much better than a year ago. I had the Eggplant with Chicken and Fried Tofu (I added it) with brown rice, mixed soup and roast pork eggroll. My friend had the Bourbon Chicken and her son had the wings and fries. Everybody said the food was delicious. BUT, the delivery driver forgot our 3 eggrolls and we had to call the Restaurant 3 times, put on hold, asked silly questions until they sent us the eggrolls. They did throw in a generous portion of Crab Rangoon for free to make up for their poor customer service. Hopefully they will not be making too many mistakes like this in the future and to improve their customer service because we order from Asahi 3-4 times a month!! Not recommended for dining there because it is a small area with limited number of tables that is why I gave it a 1 star for atmosphere. So just order takeout or delivery.

I ordered dinner over the phone and they said it would be ready in about ten minutes. "Whuuuuuuuuut?" I thought to myself. Ten minutes? How is that possible? But sure enough, when I got there it was bagged up and ready to go. They greeted me warmly and I paid for my food and off I went. Happy and slappy. The only thing I'd change is their wonton soup. It's the most bland wonton soup I've ever had. Otherwise their food is delicious.

We had a very nice experience. As soon as we sat down, the server brought over Chinese noodles and took a beverage order. We decided to eat healthy, and ordered steamed chicken and shrimp with Chinese vegetables. They served it in a bamboo steamer basket with cover. It was delicious! Best Chinese food I’ve had in years. Next visit, we are going to order their sushi. I looked at what others were eating and the sushi rolls looked absolutely delicious. A great choice for a local Chinese Restaurant. If the owner reads this...please get rid of the old carpeting :)

We order from Asahi about once a week. Food is always great. We’ll order both Chinese & Japanese and have never been disappointed. If they tell you that the delivery will be 45 minutes to an hour it’s alway a lot sooner. I think this is the best Chinese Japanese restaurant around

we have been eating here for years, this is the best Chinese restaurant with Japanese sushi in Tamarac or sunrise area. Truthfully, I like it better than even some “high end” sushi places in Coral Springs in Parkland! The tuna tataki is absolutely fantastic; Tuna always comes beautiful and red. It is seared to perfection. Fried appetizers are always a hit such as crab Rangoon & the spring rolls. The edamame is always delicious. Can’t go wrong with their chicken rice soup esp when you’re feeling under the weather. We love the chicken teriyaki Bento box, shrimp in lobster sauce, beef & eggplant, egg fu yung, and honestly even just a typical Cali roll +add CC from here is done really well! thanks for years of yummy, consistently flavorful chinese & asian food!

Love this place! Been ordering from them for over 14 years now and they never disappoint. Never a wrong item always fresh, hot, and fast! The delivery guy is a doll and the place should be an institution for the area. Many places come and go this place always been and always will. My go to for our household is lomein, dumplings (both the Chinese and Japanese), Rangoon, steak on the stick, spring rolls, Ribs (we have had both boneless and bone in) chicken wings, spider, lobster, and their birthday roll, and have had many of their specialty items from their tilapia dish, beef and broccoli, Kung Pao, and bourbon chicken. And again, always great! Entire family loves them. My kids when they want anything delivery they ask specifically for this spot! I have been getting takeout & delivery from here for years and never a bad experience. Food is always hot & prepared to my specifications. Plus the cool Chinese / Japanese combo menu offers plenty of variety. Staff are friendly, and right now for the Covid-19 crisis, they have a perfect set up for contactless pick up, and all the staff were wearing masks.

I have ordered from this place for years and have always had a good experience. The last time I went the order tasted spoiled. I called the restaurant and the familiar voice on the phone apologized and credited my account so the order was replaced. I picked up my order up and it was back to the delicious experience I have always had with Asahi.

Food is usually always good. Sometimes the sushi rolls seaweed have an oily taste like old oil but other than that is ok

We wanted a healthy option for dinner, but needed delivery. This place was on point. We ordered the teriyaki salmon dinner bento and it was delicious. The miso soup was a little sweet for my taste but everything else was delicious. We'll definitely order again.

Review update: Had a really bad experience about 5 yrs ago. My Aunt loves this place still, so on a recent trip we ordered to go. I had the Unagi and rice. It was tasty and with out issues at a reasonable price, within a reasonable time. Ordered for 6, everyone enjoyed their food.

Good food so far. I gave it a 4 star because I only order "pork fried rice and egg rolls " I haven't tried anything else. So far for me I love it. Wish they would open the door like it use to be. Kind of sucks everyone outside hanging out.

Decent Asian food, I cannot say it is the best but it's decent. The staff is friendly and they prepare the food quickly and also deliver quickly. I would reccomend for sushi and quick bites like wings and egg rolls.

This restaurant use to my favorite place to purchase food. Recently went back and it has changed drastically. The food is subpar. The gentleman that took my order didn't give me the right soup, which I have to discard now. Hopefully, it will get better in the future.

Used to be 4stars. Maybe the management changed. Rice was not fresh. Paid extra for miso soup with my order. Received Miso Soup that was old and smelled funny. Very off-putting. I threw it out. The Bourbon chicken was good with some pineapple. However, I'll be looking for a new Chinese spot.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time in about 7 years, last Friday. I remember their food being quite tasty, but it appears the standard and service has changed. Today, I placed an Uber Ears order and indicated that I wanted by sauce on the side, as opposed to being tossed with the wings. I got a call saying that I have to order the sauce separately and that it was an extra charge. Mind you, I wasn't asking for extra sauce, just for it to be separate so I could control how much of it eat. The plain wings were also a dollar less than the sauces ones, so they wouldn't be losing money. The person who called also stated that the wings were already tossed and kept asking if I still wanted to purchase it on the side. l then asked, is it already tossed because they missed the note on the order? She said yes. There was no effort to accept the fault, but that's fine. Perhaps there is a forgotten reason that I had not been there in 7 years.

We received our food at 8:30pm, the sushi was terrible and the fried rice was dry. I don’t know what happen with them but they were my go too for Friday nights. After tonight I nor longer want to order there. Sushi with no filling inside. Just rice.. terrible

We usually order delivery service from here and haven't had any problems. But tonight was different, it took an hour and 15 minutes to get delivery from them and we live just over a half mile away. Plus all the bags that had our food smelled like cigarettes. I called them on it and they denied that the driver smoked and hung up on me. Plus the order was wrong, who sends sushi with a side of fried rice. It will be a while before we order frome them again.

Im gonna be the “Karen” and say this was the worst sushi i’ve ever had with confidence. Ordered a few rolls and each one was literally flavorless. The spicy tuna has no flavor at all and even the spicy mayo had no flavor. The sushi rice was not fresh at all. The rolls had a very stale taste, as if the sushi rice had been sitting all day. The tempura flakes in the tuna avocado salad were old as well and were made earlier in the day, not fresh at all. Terrible, flavorless and careless food.... lets just say the trash can “ate” more than i did. Whole foods has better sushi than this place... please look else where!

I ordered one of their sushi-sashimi boats based on other reviews and it was a catastrophe. Lots of dry rice, small pieces of sub-quality, tasteless fish. Overpriced. and Awful!

Maybe because we used door dash... but this food was less than good. Very greasy, no flavor, overcooked lo mein, general tso's chicken was not a normal flavor... just not a place I would go to again.

First, let me preface by saying I rarely write reviews of places, and when I do, it's because of it being an exceptional place. In this case, exceptionally bad. I love asian food!! It's been my favorite since I was a child. So i'm not a newbie at it. Now this place, it was my first time ordering from them. I ordered Mongolian Beef and a Spicy Tuna Roll. First the spicy tuna roll is about as big as a quarter. It was mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about. The mongolian beef was a disaster! It says spicy, but there is no spice at all. In fact there is no flavor at all. I found whole dried chilli peppers in it, so I guess I was just supposed to eat them to get flavor, rather than they be chopped up and meld with the sauce. So I did something I, also, rarely do. I called the restaurant to tell them how dissatisfied with the food I was. Now, I understand no business likes having customers call and complain. But this place, the person on the phone got very rude and defensive and rather than apologizing or attempting to make peace, she just told me next time don't order from them. I was just calling to tell them that I found their food to not be as advertised and rather bland and flavorless. Rather then try to make the customer happy, they essentially told me to get lost. I know lots of others are happy with their food, but I for one, won't be giving them my business again. If they had tried to make amends and offer to make me something else or something like that, I'd give them another shot. But someone who is just so blatantly rude, pass!

The best part of my meal was the egg rolls. Everything lacked the flavor I’m used to and I just want to keep brushing my teeth. High priced for the quality. I won’t order again.

The 2 women on duty were extremly rude and harrassed me because I was viewing there sushi bar. They laughed at my friend for ordering room temperature water, subtracting shrimp due to his allergy and a couple other things from his dish due to his sensitive diet he is on for healty reasons. The 2 women then kept staring at us laughing and speaking in another language. Also, heard how rude/unprofessional the one behind the cashier counter spoke to customers on the phone. Never will return here nor recommend this place.

Absolutely awful. I ordered chicken in garlic sauce, it smells so bad and it doesn’t taste any better while lacking flavor. The crunchy tuna roll was also nasty. And it looked like chicken the color threw me completely off. The beef fried rice was a little sticky also flavorless. The beef was very dull in color and did not look like beef. So mad I wasted money here. Everything was 0/10

Pretty lousy food. Ordered the bento box sashimi. It was dreadful. Ginger salad tasted off, California roll had funky tasting avocados, sashimi was a poor grade, and the miso soup tasted like salty dish water. Will not be going back. Even the seasoning of extreme hunger could not save this meal.

This restaurant missed one of my orders, which was a small house special fried rice, so I called them back and they said it would be a half hour to deliver the rice. I received the rice, put in a bowl and found a dead roach in there. Do not eat from here, very unsanitary. If I could put negative stars on here I would. Bad experience. If you like eating roaches then go for it but if you like to eat good fresh food then don't even look in their direction.

I ordered a bunch of food. It took 1.5 hours to receive and everything was cold. Food was horrible. Don’t order their sweet and sour chicken. Their sauce for it is terrible. Will never order from them again.

We had to wait an hour and half for our food. When the food arrived they didn't put my sushi roll in the bag. My husband went to find the driver but he left in a hurry. We call the restaurant and the lady kept saying we are so busy. Okay I understand your busy but you didn't even put my sushi rolls in the bag that I paid for. So I had to wait another 20 minutes. The driver knocks on the door and leaves the food outside my door doesn't wait to say I'm sorry or thank you! That is so rude and unprofessional! When we called to talk to the manager she was laughing at my husband like it was some kinda of joke. Im sorry but we own a business and we would never ever do that to our customers. We will never return again!

I am a faithful loyal customer where I have always brought from this restaurant every week. However, after today they were no longer be getting my services not only was I up charged for an item that I didn’t request but my mail also didn’t include the proper sauce in the drink with the proper temperature. I am so disgusted how management handled the situation where I will save my $30. I’ve spent every week on lunch here to go somewhere else.

I rarely do reviews, but the food is so bad I felt I had to say something. We ordered a Dragon Roll, Rainbow roll, Qt of Chicken fried rice, and MuShu Pork. Both the rolls were subpar at best. The fried rice wasn’t even fried just some bleached looking pieces of chicken and a few peas. Absolutely no flavor. The MuShu pork also looked very unappetizing and the pancakes were awful. We spent over $54 and ended throwing away the food. Save your money and your taste buds from this awful experience. I just hope we don’t end up getting sick.

I paid $30 for a shrimp and chicken fried rice. The shrimp and chicken was not fried nor the rice, had no flavor and the rice was hard. I ask for one order of vegetable egg rolls but he charged me 2 orders of veg. egg rolls and pork and chicken egg rolls. And my family don't even eat pork. To spend all that money and not get your money's worth, what a waste.
