The two of us live in the neighborhood, and we road our bikes to your restaurant. Went for Happy Hour. Arrived at 5:30 PM and the place was not crowded and quiet, which was perfert for us. We were greeted as we walked in and seated immediately. The server (Abby) was pleasant and very knowledgeable concerning the menu, and nicely described the dishes we asked about. Had the Kheema Egg Roll and Samosas, for starters, highly recommend. The Chicken Korma (mild heat), Chicken Biryani (medium heat), Chicken Saag (medium heat), Basmati Rice, and Naan were our choices for our main course. The portion sizes were grenerous, and the amount of meat was more than expected (even when ordering off the Happy Hour menu). All the dishes had great flavors and just to our taste palette; and with just amount of heat we like, and as ordered. We took the dishes we could not finish home, and had them the next night for dinner, and they tasted even better. The Sula wine was ok, and the pour size was as expected for a happy hour price of $5. The Moksha Mule was nice, at $10. Used the In-Kind app for payment, and also used their discounts too. We recommend Moksha and plan to go back again.
Really enjoyed our experience at Moksha. We called and checked if we can still eat if we arrive 20 minutes before closing and the staff was very accommodating. They have a vegan section in the menu. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. The Chana Pindi was my favorite dish and it was accompanied well with the Garlic Naan and Lemon Rice. The decor elevated the experience as it was higher end than most Indian restaurants. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time and birthday lunch for my brother here. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. For our drinks we had a Mango Lassi and Martinis. They were delicious and perfect compliments to our meal. For starters we had the tandoori mushrooms which were portobello caps stuff with spinach and spices. It was flavorful and had that wonderful tandoori taste. We also had the samosas that were crisp on the outside and filled with the potatoes and peas plus spices. Then for our main meal my mom and I shared the Moksha Platter that gives you a little of some of their signature dishes. It comes with tandoori lamp chops, shrimp and chicken; chicken kebab, tulsi, rosemary naan and basmati rice. We love the platter and it's perfect for sharing. My brother ordered the tandoori lamb chops that had a great portion and the garlic crab rice. Both were delicious and everyone was able to try something. Overall we had a great time and will definitely come back. I recommend trying them out if you're in the area.
Had an amazing meal of samosas, butter chicken, chicken tandoori and garlic nann. I have a go to place for Indian food but wanted to check this place out, and am so glad we did. The flavor/spice was amazing and can’t wait to return! This is our new go-to for Indian cuisine.
Still very new to the Indian cuisine! This place is awesome. Atmosphere/ Vibe, elegant uplifted. The drinks and food are perfect!!! I have tree nut allergy and was worried about cashews but was assured no issue and it was 100% awesome!
The food at Moksha Restaurant is always scrumptious and delicious! We especially enjoy their platter, which offers a wonderful variety of meats and seafood, each cooked to perfection. And their falooda ice cream is to die for — the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Every visit is a treat — the flavors are rich, the portions generous, and the experience consistently enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves flavorful, high-quality cuisine!
The location is great. The settings and atmosphere was welcoming and well appointed. The bar selection is just right. The signature drink menu is nice, the drinks were strong. The food portions were generous and the menu was nicely organized, multiple dishes to choose from.
Moksha Indian Restaurant delivered the kind of Valentine’s dinner you remember. This place is not an afterthought. It’s grounded in the traditional flavors that make Indian food feel authentic, but it’s presented with intention, from the bar to the plate. (You can tell the kitchen cares.) We started with cocktails plus a Taj Mahal beer and a lychee martini. The martini had a subtle Indian touch, lightly floral and not overly sweet. A strong start. Naturally, we ordered the samosas. Perfectly crisp, with a well-balanced spice blend inside. Do not skip the mint and tamarind dipping sauces. They bring the whole bite to life. For mains, my wife went with the Goan shrimp. Not too spicy, with a gentle hint of coconut that keeps it smooth and satisfying. I had the Valentine’s lamb shank special, bone-in and slow-cooked in a tomato-forward sauce that smelled like pure Indian spice the second it hit the table. Rich, warm, and worth ordering if you see it. Get the basmati rice and garlic naan. Both are more than enough to share. If you’re in town and the usual spots aren’t doing it for you, put Moksha on the list. Great meal, great price, and the kind of dinner that feels like a real night out.
Love this place. Hadn't been here in a long time. I hoped my server at the bar was more pleasant. I didn't understand some of the names and I felt he was annoyed and kept saying chicken when I knew it meant something different. I then asked if someone could come out and help me then he said they were sauces.
We are sucker for their pau bhaji and sabudana vada. All their dishes are very flavorful. The staff here is always warm, friendly, and attentive. The service is generally quick. However, if you’re planning to visit during the weekends, it’s highly recommended to make a reservation in advance, as the place tends to get quite busy. We had also considered their food for our wedding catering and Gilbert was super nice and straightforward with us about the pricing. All in all, it’s a fantastic spot that combines incredible food and good service.
Great restaurant with a good quality! Friendly customer service! Just keep in mind that they charge 20% tip with your bill so, it’s optional if you wanna add more or not
It is what a great experience. Too much flavor, test, presentation. We got as a entrance the mushroom with spinach, tofus. And as a main course the chicken marsala, lamb, and best dish the fried coliflower.
Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in South Florida. Not only did I love everything I tried, the staff was friendly, restaurant was clean, and each dish was so flavorful. I was also a fan of how their menu was full of classic dishes but also had unique stuff such as the olive and cheese naan. Which was amazing especially if you're a HUGE olive fan like me. Definitely worth trying this place!

A Perfect Date Night at Moksha – Fort Lauderdale My husband and I had the most amazing date night at Moksha. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and soothing music set the perfect mood for an intimate dinner. The restaurant has a cozy yet elegant feel, making it a great spot for a special night out. We started with their Lamb Chop Masala, which was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. For our mains, we had the Butter Chicken, Biryani, and Coconut Curry Shrimp—each dish was rich, aromatic, and full of authentic Indian flavors. The butter chicken was creamy and comforting, the biryani had the perfect balance of spices, and the coconut curry shrimp was beautifully fragrant with a hint of sweetness. To end the night, we indulged in Gulab Jamun, which was soft, warm, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup—a perfect way to wrap up our meal. Another plus was how easy the parking was, which made the experience even more seamless. Overall, Moksha exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience
What a fantastic 4th of July dinner we had at this upscale, modern and very welcoming Indian Restaurant, Moksha! It is our new go-to place for Indian cuisine. We started with a spicy, tender, delicious tandoori octopus appetizer, followed by a perfectly seasoned Goan shrimp dish and chicken tikki masala. Both dishes were served steaming hot, with plenty of jasmine rice on the side. Their na’an is out of this world, and you must try the olive cheese…very delicious! The service was attentive, friendly, and servers are patient and willing to answer questions. This was our first time eating in (we had ordered takeout, and it was so good we returned), and although we didn’t have to wait, I will make reservations next time as the place fills up fast after 7:00 P.M. Lovely, sophisticated setting for a romantic dinner. Easy access on and off Oakland Park Boulevard with plenty of parking. This place is a super addition to our community!

It was my husband and I first time dining at an Indian restaurant. I made the reservation to celebrate my husband for an early Father’s Day. I am so glad I picked that spot. He loved it so much and so did I. I love the mixture of the spices. Everything was tasty. We fell in love with the crab rice for sure . We definitely would recommend that spot to our friends and family. We’ll for sure come by again in the near future. Thanks for the great experience!!
Gil took great care us! All of the food was delicious - specifically the rice. The rice was spot on! It wasn’t sticky and it was not raw! TENS!!!
Great experience while traveling to Fort Lord on our trip. Owner/ manager was very welcoming, suggested grilled Pomfret which was a delicacy followed by fish curry and my friend had Goat curry which was one of the best fishes we had in a long time. I have travelled extensively all over world and found this one was one t Of the best Indian restaurant I have came so far which serves food close to/ better that what you can get in India. Highly recommended. We ( me and my friend) were so impressed with the food that we went second time in a two day window before we leave the town and ordered great Pomfret followed by southern style fish curry and Goan prawn curry which were again excellently made and delivered. Thank you for the excellent food.
Stopped in for lunch and was delightfully surprised. The set up inside is very modern and luxurious. Very different from your typical Indian restaurant. The chicken tikka flavor was a little different from what I usually find at Indian restaurants, but it was nothing short of delicious. Few pieces of chicken inside of it and I understand it’s good for the price, but I don’t think folks would mind a slight price increase with more chicken. The plain naan was a bit thin, the cheese naan was excellent. Overall good food and look forward to visiting during next trip.
Moksha Indian brasserie is a little hidden gem on Oakland Park. Great architecture beautiful bar and very tastefully done. Our host was very hospitable and knowledgeable, every dish that our party tried was outstanding at a very reasonable price. I hate the share this little treasure with everyone but you must check it out it would also be a great date night restaurant.
I felt like having Indian tonight, so we decided to try this place. I'm glad we did. The food was great. For the apps, my Husband had the Coconut Spinach soup and I had the Lamb spring rolls. Soup was very hearty and good and the spring rolls had a great kick (spice) to them. Very flavorful. Our entrees were the Soy Tufu Stew (Husband) and the Goat stew (me). Again, the flavor was all there. Spice is not overbearing, just the right amount of kick. Definitely recommend this place. Atmosphere is very welcoming and romantic.
Florida can get humid, after 2 hours spent lazing at the beach trying my best to do a doggy crawl swim against the waves, I realized it was time for swimming classes. However, all that paddling builds up quite an appetite and it was to my surprise I found a restaurant within walking distance from the beach which had the name 'Moksha' in it coupled with brassiere. Genuinely curious as to see how transcendent their cuisine would get, I walked and was welcomed into a fine dinning atmosphere with décor and a sense of modern ambience I wasn't used to in most Indian restaurants. Shortly after I was seated I started talking to the manager Gilbert and realized that his Goan heritage meant they had to have had a great spicy Vindaloo. We kept chatting about the embossed well written menu, and I noticed that all the dishes had a sense of original creativity to them while remaining true to the authenticity of the region the dish was from. I spent the next 2 hours sampling and eating my way through the menu with friendly commentary from Gilbert about the rich history behind each dish and the regions in India it came from. I have only highlighted favorite dishes and the Lemon Rice really hit the spot as a main course with the Kerala style red pepper prawn curry, followed by the Goan style prawn curry served with gluten free Naan. Yes, this is the only Indian restaurant I have come across where it has an entire gluten free vegan menu, which is shocking and incredibly smart. Add that to excellent customer service and incredibly fresh tasting big prawn and other dishes made to order, I realized I may have to come back to Fort Lauderdale to enjoy fine dining with Indian cuisine with dishes from all over India. The pièce de résistance was the paan flavored ice cream with a rose flavored sweet mix on top. I didn't get to try the Tandoor octopus but it is going to have to wait for my next trip here, and true to its name, this restaurant frees you from the mindless masses of curry houses you find all over the world to a truly transcendent experience. #Indian #finedining #transcendence #fortlauderdale
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The owner was both very knowledgeable and kind, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The rosemary naan and butter chicken were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavors. The atmosphere was amazing, and the place was impeccably clean. It's a great spot to share a meal with friends or family. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The tandoori chicken and paneer were also delightful and packed with flavor. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a memorable dining experience!
We went for the HH menu and it was delicious. HH is 4-6pm at the bar and in the dining room. My favorites were the garlic naan and butter chicken. We had great service. Easy parking in the attached lot.
Incredible food, service and drinks. Amazing value on the happy hour menu. Im originally from Australia and this is the best Indian food I’ve had in the U.S. it’s a must stop! I’ll remember it for years
Gandhi once said 'happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony'. Well, that probably doesn't have much to do with this review but you have to check out Moksha of you want some truly excellent Indian food. Great atmosphere, top notch service and the best Naan I've had in ages. Great lunch specials. We devoured the Saag Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Yum. Such delicious food at a very low price; we will definitely be back! 🇮🇳🍛😋
The chicken tikka saag was exceptional — rich, deeply flavorful, and absolutely worth the small confusion over which door to enter. 😅 Inside, the space felt warm and thoughtfully designed, with an refined sophistication that made the experience feel special.
Excellent food, great service, great ambience. Highly recommend this place. The mango lassi was best I have had and that’s coming from an Indian . Lol. The naan was nice and crispy. The chicken tikka masala gravy was so good. It was not too overpowering but just right . Food felt very fresh.
Really enjoyed our dinner in Moksha. Great service, friendly greeting from the moment you enter the restaurant all the way to the end of your meal. The menu is filled with the usual traditional Indian plates like the Chicken Tikka Masala we've all come to love but also some nice surprises like the Coconut Chicken Meatballs. Will definitely return.
Came for a dinner on a whim and was so glad I did. Loved everything about this experience. Service, food and atmosphere was perfect. Great recommendation for the starter, KASHMIRI TIKKEY, and the DAAL MAKHANI was the best daal I have ever had. Super flavored and great texture. Will definitely be coming again.
The ambiance sets the mood with blue lighting, and gold accents. The service was terrific and prompt. The food that was delivered was delicious. The manager, with the deep voice, really goes table to table to check on you. That's a lost art in the management field. I ordered the Somosas, which were flaky outside and filled hot inside. The chicken Tikka was very flavorful. The naan was baked perfectly with a slight crunch. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking great Indian food in a lovely, blue environment.
Prepare to be impressed. My friend Praful introduced me to this restaurant. We enjoyed the Madras Chicken, Moksha Eggplant, Samosas, garlic and regular Naan bread, beer from India. Everything was served fresh, hot and good portion sizes. Service was great, manager visited our table too. All around excellent and exceptional Indian cuisine!
Moksha is derived from the root, muc, which means to free, let go, release, liberate. This restaurant embodies that in relation to its cuisine, its service and atmosphere. I have been there several times and I am always impressed with everything. The food is excellent and Gilbert the Owner/Manager is one of the most gracious hosts I have ever met. My app for the parking wasn't working and he offered to get coins to pay for the parking. This type of service is what you would expect from a restaurant named "Moksha". In my experience of living in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale this is not just one of if not the best Indian restaurants in both Cities but also this might also be one of the best restaurants in South Florida .
From the food to the ambience and the service, everything was perfect. The appetisers here are the best you could try. We got Angarey Paneer which was a 10/10. Paneer Kiri was a 9/10. Angarey Tandoori Chicken was absolutely delicious 10/10. I didn’t like the pav bhaji a lot it was a 6/10 but apart from that everything was great.
Yes, the seafood paella was flavorful and delicious with plenty of fish and shellfish. Yes, the decor was contemporary and cool and everything was sparkling clean. The highlight was the fabulous service. We were a large group, members of a book club, and treated like royalty. Music volume and thermostat were adjusted; special requests for modifications to dishes were cheerfully accommodated; suggestions for entrees were brilliant. The entire staff was extremely professional and helpful. Extremely highly recommended!
The place is straight up beautiful. Lovely decoration and very clean which I appreciated. We got the shrimp small plate and the paneer. The sauce that the shrimp came in was insane. Never had anything like it before, it was so flavorful. The paneer was great. Would have loved it to come with grilled veggies. Lamb tikka masala was fantastic. Full of large chunks of meat and cake with rice included. The rosemary naan was yum. Nice to try a new flavor of naan we’ve never had before.
Great food , very attentive service, and nice ambiance, place looked beautiful and spotless clean. Not your typical Indian decor , so we liked it a lot that was a bit different. The food was truly amazing. Must try octopus , duck, chicken meatballs, and naan bread. Something so simple but done extremely well. Not oily, not heavy, crispy enough to hold any sauce and with the right amount of garlic. It's definitely a place that we will visit again
Wow! The food and service were great!!! We were a group of 4 and shared 2 appetizers and 3 meals with lots of leftovers! The spices were fresh!! Great butter chicken, tikka masala, and korma! But my non-starter is always a GREAT cocktail and I was blown away!! Thoughtfully crafted drinks are my weakness and they checked every box!!! 10 out of 10!!
Enjoyed both the food and ambiance of this Fort Lauderdale vegan friendly establishment. It brings a touch of modern sophistication to traditional and authentic Indian cuisine. Probably one of the best Samosas I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you checking them out if you are vegan. They have an entire menu for us folk.
I recently visited India and was feeling homesick and missing the food terribly and decided to give moksha a try for date night. This restaurant by far has the best Indian food in the area and took me right back to India. The ambience, decor, and details of this place are beautiful and walking in everything smells so good, so hard not to order the whole menu! Incredible experience, every single thing we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend the tandoori rack for an entree, the best lamb chops I have ever had!
At first, I was a little disappointed because my pickup order took about 40 minutes instead of the 15 I was told. But once I got home, all was forgiven. The lamb biryani was outstanding - rich with saffron and perfectly cooked lamb. The other two dishes we ordered were just as good, and the garlic naan was full of flavor. Definitely worth the wait!
WOW!!! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The owner mentioned that my group was the 1st to try the chicken kabobs. They were bursting with flavor. He mentioned they rotate the menu yearly, which is nice. I will definitely come back. Serving size for a large man was good. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely visit again.
Upon entering this restaurant, you can feel that something special is going on here. Gilbert, the manager is very friendly and accommodating! The food is amazing. We had apps and two entrees. The fresh taste, the smooth look, music, and great staff create a wonderful dining experience. Find the time to dine in, or take out, you won't be disappointed!
We saw this place reviewed on Facebook. He gave a glowing recommendation . On our way back to Orlando we decided to try it. Not only was the food great and authentic. It was made to order and as fresh as can be. The flavors hit you tongue but are not over powering. As we live in Orlando (3+ hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale. When we got home the food was still warm!! We had dinner and the take out stuff the next day and it was still to perfection!! It’s a must have for anyone in the areas or visiting. They offer dishes no other Indian restaurant does. Cheers to the chef and your menu both eats and drinks!!
Came for dinner after my girlfriend watched a TikTok about the restaurant. Was very skeptical at first because everything online always looks amazing but honestly this place lived up to the hype and more. The service was great, super attentive and professional. The drinks were refreshing and delicious. The food was very well done. Super packed with flavour and delivered everything you want from Indian food. It was spicy, aromatic and we'll executed. If you are thinking of coming here just do it, you really won't regret it!!
Had dinner there tonight everything was excellent. Ambience is wonderful. Food and service was exceptional. Will return. Again and again. Our new favorite Indian restaurant!
My wife and I have been going here for a couple years now, the service is always great, the atmosphere is clean and upscale, the owner is always there making sure everything is running efficiently, and the food is always fresh, plentiful, and delicious! We always get the octopus to start and it is fabulous and just spicy enough to be enjoyable while not overpowering. We have had the malai kabob, the rogan josh, the butter chicken, the moksha platter, the chicken tikka massala, the gulab jamoon, the garlic naan, cheese naan, and more and everything has always been great!
Moksha is a great restaurant to get authentic Indian food. The restaurant is clean and has modern decor. The service is standard, nothing extraordinary. They have many menu options that are unique including the Angarey Paneer which comes out with literal flames on it. Other than that, I would suggest getting the tandoori mushroom, paneer makhani, and any selection of their naans.
Hands down the best Indian restaurant in Florida. The service is warm and attentive, and the food is authentic and delicious. We ordered the chili calamari, coconut curry shrimp, crab sago, fish curry, butter chicken, and garlic naan. Each dish was absolutely exceptional!
It’s been a while since I had been. But so glad I returned. The menu has changed a little since my other visits and we now have some more traditional dishes to enjoy. The place is extremely well set out. It’s a destination! And Indian!! Service is great, and will recommend options. The food was amazing.
This was the best Indian dining experience and cuisine I’ve ever had. Everything was great. The flavors, the suggestions, the execution. Looking forward to trying some more. I went with my girlfriend and we ordeeeed a few different things and shared it all. It ended up being 4 meals all together. Well worth it. We also went there a little late but they were very courteous and understanding.
Very affordable for a great variety of food. Vegan options are amaziiing and I am not even vegan. The service is calm, nice, and knowledgeable about the menu if you don’t know what to order asks the server what do they prefer and they’ll even tell you which meat is best with what. I went here twice me and my coworker/friend who is vegan and she looks for protein with her life style and this restaurant really helped with that. I really wish I could post videos also
This is a really great Indian restaurant. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the paneer makhani, saag paneer, and daal makhani. The interior design is modern looking and I liked the atmosphere. The food took a while to come out but was hot and fresh when it arrived at the table. Overall, I would highly recommend!
One of the nicest Indian restaurants in the area. Food is excellent. I come here often and have yet to have a meal I didn’t love. Food is fresh and flavorful. Service sometimes lacks and you will sit with empty water glasses or not be offered refills. It’s ok though because the food makes up for it.
What a fantastic 4th of July dinner we had at this upscale, modern and very welcoming Indian Restaurant, Moksha! It is our new go-to place for Indian cuisine. An amazing happy hour. I don’t understand why this place isn’t PACKED on weekdays other than a lot of North Americans seem to think that most Indian food is too spicy or the flavour profiles are too unusual. I have to say I LOVE Indian food when it is done well and for Fort Lauderdale (in particular) it is great to have this neighborhood gem nearby. Highly recommended: lovely staff team; fast and friendly and full of flavorful variety.
This was my first visit at Moksha. I saw the advertisement on social media and was excited to try their pani puri, I went to other indian restaurant and it was never on the menu. I think I found a new favorite place to take my parents. We enjoyed everything and was very pleased with what we ordered. I enjoyed that the food came out steaming hot, and very tasty 😋 💯 recommended
Went there for my wife's birthday with friends, already had very high expectations as we saw alk the good reviews upfront. It was totally worth it, after so long we have a proper indian restaurant near by with authentic indian taste. All the appetizers were awesome, specially the samosa and tandoori chicken was so tasty and mouthwatering, full of indian flavors. The rajasthani chicken was superb, naans were very soft and the saffron rice was too good, never had such aromatic rice in US before. Ghee mutton roast also lived up to the expectation, in dessert we had rasmalai and pan ice cream. Rasmalai was good but the pan ice cream was awesome, authentic taste of pan masalas in an ice cream, it blended in so nicely and ended the beautiful meal with a very satisfying note. The server was very knowledgable and kind enough to bring us a chocolate cake for my wife's birthday, it was really a nice gesture from him. It was really special and this type of experience is what customers always look for and want, it's about the entire experience, not only food that matters. The interior including the restrooms are so good, clean and well decorated. The server took his time, didn't hurry us, told a lot about upcoming menus. It was really really a nice experience and quality time spent. Request everyone who loves indian cuisine to come here and enjoy the delicacies. I am definitely coming back and I really hope that they keep their standards like this for long. Kudos to the chef, management and the workers here...!!!!
Came here after it was recommended by several different people on different occasions and was not disappointed. Gilbert took care of us as a server but we came to know he was part owner as well! He recommend us several dishes when we were uncertain and everything was delicious. I'd definitely recommend the Moksha Mule and the coconut shrimp appetizer we well as the paan ice cream for dessert. The tandoori fish dish was also great in flavor. Definitely wish I'd tried Moksha sooner, it for sure beats other Indian restaurants in the area. Will be back with friends for sure!
My boyfriend and I just left Moksha Indian Kitchen and Bar, and this was our first visit. It will not be our last. The food and service were EXCELLENT. Every single dish and drink tasted amazing. No exaggeration. Every bite had bold flavor and was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was attentive, kind, and patient with recommendations. The owner, Gilbert, truly goes above and beyond. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in, and that energy stays through the entire meal. Here is everything we ordered, and every item delivered. • Lychee Leela cocktail • Cucumber Kumari cocktail • Chili Calamari appetizer • Tandoori Lamb Chops as an appetizer • Pani Puri appetizer • Jhinga E Aatish with basmati rice • Patiala Ghosht lamb, medium spice, no rice • Truffle Mushroom Naan • Garlic Naan The pani puri was especially nostalgic for me. I have not had it in years, and it brought back so many memories. It was fresh, flavorful, and done right. The lamb chops were tender and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend demolished them. The Patiala Ghosht had deep flavor and rich sauce. The shrimp dish had a lot of spice and warmth. The naan came out fresh, soft, and addictive. It was my first time having mushroom naan, and I was not disappointed .Even the cocktails were balanced and smooth. You can tell care goes into every plate. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt average. If you enjoy Indian food or want a place with great service, strong flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere, this spot deserves a visit. I would recommend Moksha Indian Kitchen and Bar without hesitation.
Moksha is one of my favorite restaurants in South Florida. The owner is incredibly gracious, the wait staff is attentive and kind and the food is INCREDIBLE. I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants, but never one like Moksha. The atmosphere is sophisticated and has a great ambiance. It’s consistently a very pleasant dining experience when I dine in, and even wonderful when I get takeout. Definitely put this on your list of must-try restaurants!

Loved the paan cocktail and the Mexico to Mumbai cocktails. I would return just for the drinks. Also enjoyed the Keema Roll with lamb as a starter. Everything else was ok.
Great atmosphere, interior design, cleanliness and professional staff! However the tandoori items were very dry and the dahi puri barely had any dahi. The serving sizes are small so I’d say it’s overpriced. They need to up their game or quality to meet the high price point they’ve set.

Beautiful modern and chic restaurant with exceptional service and delicious food. Will be back.👍 2nd visit experience: everything was still good except a manager/owner berating an older employee for something at the opposite end of the restaurant, I don't know what transpired, but there has to be a better way of handling it. The situation takes away from the whole dining experience. 👎
The food here seemed to be pretty good. The portion sizes for the price are much smaller than I expected. Also they add in an 18% gratuity to every single check no matter if you're a party of one or a party of hundred.
Moksha is part of the newer trend of “trendy” Indian restaurants. That usually means a decor which is slick and modern and could almost be any type of restaurant (no Taj Mahal posters!) and food which doesn’t resemble the staples you find in more traditional Indian restaurants. The biggest negative to this trend is high prices and Moksha finds itself at the upper end of the range one would pay for Indian cuisine. The food here was good but felt like it was trying very hard. The Bayview Naan had lots of yummy fruit and was really good but very hard to eat. The mixed grill with various tandoori items was the best option and the biryani was good but significantly spicer than any I have had before which made it difficult to eat. Service was prompt and attentive but the extremely high pressure up selling of items and more food really turned me off. Haven’t ever had that happen to that level at any restaurant I have been to anywhere in the world.
Pretentious and disorganized. Service quality severely lacking. After all the bragging about their Michelin star it was a very big disappointment. Update: January 2, 2020 I came back to try this restaurant again. I opened my mind and really was open to a brand new experience and was sooo pleasantly surprised! Everything was exquisite. Tandory hen was delicious, not dry as usual. Ordered eggplant great, spinach kale tempura amazing, even the tomato soup was great.
My husband and I had an 8:45 PM reservation and were seated right away. The host stood out immediately—he wasn’t just seating guests but also cleaning tables, making drinks, running food to cars, and checking in with customers. He truly did it all with a calm, professional attitude. The food was excellent—flavorful, fresh, and served quickly. The only letdown was the $8 rasmalai, which felt a bit small and underwhelming for the price & the portion sizes of entrees. Overall, great service, authentic taste, and a welcoming atmosphere.
They have stopped serving lunch and start at 3pm with the dinner menu. This makes for an expensive late lunch, because even if the mains are reasonable the trimmings are overpriced ($3 chutneys, $5-7 for small nans...) We shared samosas for starters which were just ok, followed by Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo. Very good. So I really have mixed feelings about the change of opening times and menu and the overpriced sides. Very nice and attentive service as usual.
All the food we ordered was tasty and yummy, except that their level of very spicy is equivalent to medium or mild in all the other Indian restaurants. Sever was okay, we didn’t like our cocktails, the Taj Mahal beer was fine. This is my new to go order if they can level up the spicy food 😊 🌶️👍🏼
For a casual Indian eatery it is a pleasant experience.well located on east Oakland blvd this restaurant offer good food but suited more for take outs. The shish kebab were dry and not juicy and the other plates were acceptable. No comparison to Bombay dombar on las olas that offers a certainly more grandiose seating and a tastier variety of Indian cuisine.the parking is easy and the service is good. The pricing is good for the patrons who prefer a more modest controlled pricing and prefer to limit their exposure to less than 50 dollars a person.i would suggest to the owner to decrease their pricing on the wines as this would make it easy to the customer to order it. If you are in the vicinity and looking for a quick affordable non alcoholic dinner this is for you

I had a huge craving for Indian food early this week so I decided to try out Moksha since I've heard a good amount of things about it. To be very honest, I was quite disappointed with my experience. To begin with, the Angarey Paneer was not the best. Being a huge lover of Paneer, this dish just tasted odd. The "chili vinaigrette" simply tasted like microwaved Sriracha sauce. With the lamb vindaloo, I was really disappointed with how rough and tasteless the meat was. I do have to say the waiters were attentive and I had absolutely no problems with the service. It's just that the food was totally lackluster and disappointing. I have tried a lot better Indian spots in South Florida. Also, it was a bit expensive relative to other spots for what we actually ended up having.
I’ve been a regular here for a while. My usual order is always the ghee mutton and something else. But always the ghee mutton. Ordered it again tonight, and they charged a different price than before and what’s listed on the website. I pointed out the mistake, and was just flatly dismissed by the waiter handling takeout orders. SMH. Fix your website’s menu. Annoyed by the guy’s attitude. I get it if the price changes. Apologize and say you’ll update it. And don’t just pass it off like the customer is an idiot.
I was excited to try this place and had a chance to get takeout before dining in. When I stopped by to pick up, my excitement grew seeing the ambiance and the warm greetings by the host. All of this was short lived. To my surprise, the portions were unreasonably small. I have not seen a place where only four puris come with an order of pani puri or dahi puri. There were no flavors in dahi as part of dahi puri at all. It was dahi and some puris (only four) with plain aloo in it. Pani flavor was good but here is the worst part - the puris were stale, soft and smelly. I could give zero stars if there was an option. I need a refund. I am now discouraged to dine in. Daylight robbery much? 🤦🏻♂️

We’ve ordered dahi puri, pav bhaji and chicken biriyani. Dahi puri was better. Pav bhaji was very bad (tastes like tomato sauce). We’ve asked spicy chicken biriyani, they’ve added too much of red chili powder on it. Over all waste of money
Our server Aniket completely ignored us and we had to flag him down several times. The happy hour prices was good and the food was good, but the service was so abysmal that it makes it not worth it. There’s better happy hours (and Indian restaurants) out there, save your time and money.
We went to this restaurant for dinner on weekday. The service was very slow and they took almost an hour to serve the main course. We ordered the Indian chaats and veg biryani. The taste was average. Pav Bhaji was the only dish that we liked here.
I haven’t been to Moksha for a while. I was always impressed with the whole experience. But based on what occurred during this visit, I won’t be going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone. As usual, the food was very good, but the service was terrible. Our server, who has waited on us in the past, took our order, brought the food & the only time we saw him after that was when he was checking on other tables. Towards the end of our meal, we finally asked another server for water refills & a to-go box for the leftovers. Probably not a big deal but coupled with what occurred next, it really created an even larger disappointment. Moksha now uses those handheld payment machines. It was handed to me without the total amount in a certain box & when I asked if I was supposed to put the amount in he asked if I was leaving a tip. I said yes but I was going to leave cash. I handed him the cash & had the receipt emailed to me. I should have checked the receipt thoroughly before I paid (my bad) but I did not. I noticed the cost was higher than in the past but I just assumed it was because the prices were a little higher. Well, they had added an 18% service charge (we were a party of 4). & when I asked the server if that was a tip, he said yes. When I said to him that I guess I had doubled tipped him, he just looked at me & walked away. A few minutes later he came back to the table & asked if I wanted the cash back. I was really embarrassed at this point & of course said no. So between the service charge & the cash I gave him he received a 50% tip. Pretty good for only having to take our order & bring our food. ‘Service charge’? He knew it was a tip & STILL asked me if I was going to leave a tip. Hey, Moksha - how about letting your guests know you are adding an 18% tip to the bill? It doesn’t really matter to me, as I won’t be going back. But let anyone reading this review be aware since the restaurant doesn’t tell you.
Food is okay. However they charge a 18% service fee without letting you know beforehand and call it restaurant policy and ask for a tip on top of that. Despite, we being just 2 people. Happy hour plates seem to be limited per person as well which again they do not mention beforehand as they say something else while taking the first order then something else when we wanted to do a second order of appetizers even while it was still happy hour. Won’t be going back.
