Came on a saturday and the tacos were spectacular, self sat at the bar and the bartendenders were on it and super attentive. Would def return again, food is super flavorful and it’s a great vibe overall! Tried the elotes/equites and they were a 10/10 for me and i tried the blackened fish + shrimp tacos and this def fulfilled our taco craving, fish was tender, the pickled onions on it were chefs kiss esp that cotija cheese and the lime hookup and they had corn tortillas, def recommend!
More than just a margarita! We enjoyed lunch and some cocktails. We were in the bar area. Staff very attentive and pleasant!!! Heidi took care of us and was amazing! We came to shop and from out of town. So happy we stumbled upon this place. We will be back on our next trip in a few months!
Had a great lunch at Rocco’s Tacos on Las Olas today. First time here and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is fun and lively, the food was delicious, and everything came out quickly. What really made the experience though was our waitress, Genesis. She was wonderful. So friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. She checked in on us at all the right times and made sure everything at our table was perfect.
It was our first time going there. Myself and my wife went on Valentine's Day. The service was excellent. The food was excellent and we had a great meal left over. Food was brought home. I love the fact that they make the guacamole right there in front of you. I'll definitely be trying something different the next time I go there
I'll start this by saying I'm not a fan of guacamole. I've never had the urge for it or been pleased at the taste but I figured I'd try it after hearing that it was home-made it. It was the best guacamole I've ever tasted. I LOVED it. I couldn't stop stuffing my face with it and I've never gone nuts like that over a dip before. The nachos were fresh, the enchiladas I got were flavorful and the churros were nice size too. There's lots of artwork and decal that all are interesting to look at so the atmosphere is great as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
absolutely love this restaurant and always leave excited to come back. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable—perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a special night out. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu without ever being pushy. The food is the real highlight: every dish is clearly made with care, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s a classic favorite or something more creative, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portions are satisfying without being overwhelming, and the pacing of the meal is just right. Overall, this restaurant never disappoints and has become one of my go-to spots for a great dinner. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent food and a great dining experience.
Rocco‘s Tacos is a very well-known Mexican restaurant on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. They have convenient parking all around the area, as well as, valet parking right in front of the restaurant. I highly recommend reservations to this restaurant - specifically for dinner. They get quite busy most nights. Their servers are very nice and have a great knowledge of the menu. The margaritas are absolutely delicious. One of my favorite favorites is their skinny margarita. For appetizers, love to order the tableside guacamole. It’s super fresh and delicious and serves at least 4 people. I also love their chips. They are seasoned perfectly and have a lot of flavor. One of my favorite dishes is actually not on the menu. It was on their old menu, but every time I go there they are kind of enough to still make it for me. It’s a cheese quesadilla with black beans and plantains. I believe it also comes with steak but as a pescatarian, I order it without. It is so delicious and is always made perfectly. Since Rocco’s is located right on Las Olas and it’s a great spot for a nice walk after dinner. Highly recommend.
If I could give more than five stars, I would! We had the pleasure of being served by Liza in Fort Lauderdale, and she truly made our entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and so attentive without ever being overbearing. She knew the menu inside and out, gave amazing recommendations, and made sure our drinks were always full and everything came out exactly right. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does. Her positive energy and friendly personality made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. The food was great, but the service is what will bring us back — and that’s all because of her. If you’re dining at Rocco’s, ask for Liza! She’s an absolute gem and a huge asset to this place!
Rocco’s Tacos never disappoints! The food was absolutely delicious—from the tacos to the fresh guacamole made with love by the best, the one and only Cynthia. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Great vibe, great drinks, and great service all around. Highly recommend AJ as a server she's absolutely amazing !!! 10/10 experience 🤗🔥🔥🤗
Rocco’s Tacos on Las Olas is an experience and tonight was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in South Florida. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric: vibrant, upscale, and perfectly balanced between lively and welcoming. The food was phenomenal across the board, every bite packed with bold, authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. This is the kind of place where you slow down and savor every single dish. But what truly elevated the night from great to unforgettable was our waiter, Chris. Hands down, one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. Chris was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and effortlessly personable. He knew the menu inside and out, gave incredible recommendations, timed everything perfectly, and made us feel genuinely taken care of without ever being intrusive. His energy, confidence, and attention to detail completely transformed the meal into something special. You can tell when someone truly takes pride in what they do and Chris absolutely does. He is the definition of hospitality and a huge asset to Rocco’s Tacos. If you’re coming to Las Olas and want an amazing night out with incredible food, unforgettable service, and a vibrant atmosphere, Rocco’s Tacos is a must. And if you’re lucky enough to have Chris as your server, you’re in for a world-class experience. We will 100% be back.
I freaking love this place. The atmosphere is the definition of imagination, fun, an spice. The service and food were point equally amazing and delicious. I keep trying to check out other restaurants when I'm over on this side of town, but Rocco's keeps taking my attention and selection.
My brother's and I visited Rocco's for lunch and had an excellent experience. The overall layout was very welcoming and the staff made us feel right at home. Most places I get table side guacamole I feel as if the ingredients haven't had enough time to marinate, but here the seasonings made it perfect and it had a lot of good flavor. We ordered the burrito bowl, tacos, and quesadilla all of which came out great. Especially the chorizo tacos. Those we a a favorite by far. The bar tender was kind enough to put together a unique flight of tequila for us to try as well. We all enjoyed it and had a chance to try something new. The manager stopped by one or two times to make sure everything was good and that we were happy and our waitress was very attentive and checked on our table often. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rocco's. The establishment was clean, well ran, with great service, good tequila, and awesome food!
It was my first time here and I LOVED it!! The service was great! The vibe was pretty chill, we arrived around 5pm on a Saturday. So we avoided that weekend night rush. I absolutely love that the guacamole is made FRESH table side! Seriously, who doesn’t love fresh guacamole! I had the fish tacos (YUMM) and my friend had the shrimp quesadilla which is her favorite on the menu! We both went with mocktails which were also good. I’ll just go ahead and add this to my must revisit list. 😊
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The food here is absolutely incredible. The guacamole was easily some of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The smash burger tacos were unique and delicious, packed with flavor in every bite, and the chicken tacos were just as amazing—juicy, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. On top of the amazing food, the service made the experience even better. Marcella took care of our table and was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests. Manager Larry also came by to check on us, which was such a thoughtful touch and shows how well the team here values their customers. All around, fantastic food, great atmosphere, and truly excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to everyone!
Came here for lunch at around noon, and even at that time of day we were almost immediately seated. The place is well decorated inside which really adds to the atmosphere. There are also multiple tvs with sports channels on if that's something you enjoy. We ordered tacos with nachos on the side, and for the latter they actually bring a cart to your table and make the guacamole in front of you inside of a cool stone bowl, which is pretty neat. Now if you order tacos they come in a set of three, so if you visit the place with friends or family you can share tacos for a mixed platter. I'm glad we did that, because each taco tasted great. We really enjoyed our meal here, and if we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be coming back here again for a meal.
Carne asada and crispy fish tacos were amazing but the table side guac was hands down the best. I could honestly have had 3 orders of that and nothing else 🤭 totally worth it. Our server Marco was incredibly attentive, professional and just the nicest human being. Everyone that we encountered that worked here though was amazing though. Highly recommend!
Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar in Fort Lauderdale offers a fun dining experience with an undeniable emphasis on great cocktails and a lively atmosphere. The food, like the famous tableside guacamole is certainly good and flavorful, making it a highly enjoyable meal. We ordered chicken nachos and a steak burrito. However, if you are searching for deeply authentic, traditional Mexican cuisine, you might lean more towards TexMex or "Americanized" versions rather than the rustic depth of genuine regional cooking. It's a great spot for the vibe and tasty food, just set your expectations for a fun Floridian take on Mexican, not a culinary passport to Mexico.
The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff strike that perfect balance between brash and courteous, making for an entertaining dining experience. The fresh, made-to-order guacamole prepared tableside is a definite highlight and adds to the charm. Unfortunately, there was a very unpleasant odor throughout the restaurant—something like a sour or musty, restroom-like smell—that really detracted from the overall experience. If you can get past that, the food and service are both great. Prices are a little on the high side, but overall it’s a fun and memorable spot worth visiting once the cleanliness issue is addressed.
I ended visiting the restaurant after having dinner in a different place. A group of friends asked me to joined them for a drink. They ordered tacos and they were very happy with the food. I only had one expresso martini and it was good. They made the guacamole by our table, very fresh and they ask how do you want it. They give you couple of options. Their menu looks pretty decent and portions too. I’m pretty sure next time I will try the food.
Nice experience on the patio. Came hungry and left stuffed. Everything was delicious, portions are big and we definitely got too much, but it was great later on at home. The three salsas that came with the chips were awesome, especially the Verde. Molcajete is the way to go, incredible flavors. Service was very friendly and attentive as well. Looking forward to returning.
I was treated to a meal here recently. I did like how filling the meal was and on another day perhaps, I would have appreciated a strong sangria but this time I ended up leaving more than half of it untouched. However, I do realize that I probably should have voiced my request up front. Just not used to boozy ones. On the other hand, that there was no water brought out first, is odd to me. The first waiter who served us did seem a bit harsh in his demeanor although he did get through the proper greeting. Just didn't seem like he was too much into serving. Perhaps a bad day. I also didn't like that he got argumentative with my friend who asked for a traditional Mexican dish off the menu but instead was told "Well, they are hamburgers here." Thanks for the heads up, but I would have hoped that he instead tried to bring it to the attention of the cook and if nothing could be done then and there, took the request into consideration. My friend knows what he is talking about and the waiter just seemed pushy and inconsiderate if this restaurant is trying to be authentic. From then on, it did get better service-wise. The female waitress was very kind. My tacos were filling and tasty on the top and I did like the shells but I would have preferred a bit more flavor on the fish. Maybe it is supposed to be like that though. The cream with the sandae desert was delicious. The brownie I was not impressed with and actually left most of it behind, both from being full and not really finding it that great. I am guessing it was frozen and I can be wrong, but to me it didn't taste like todays delivery. The seating outside I did like. I quite miss Fort Lauderdale and I still find it to be safe and friendly.
The interior at Rocco’s Tacos in Fort Lauderdale is stunning. The eclectic artwork and vibrant aesthetic make a strong first impression and set the expectation for a bold, energetic dining experience. Unfortunately, the atmosphere quickly became overwhelming. The music was so loud that normal conversation wasn’t possible, and with a packed dining room, it felt like everyone was shouting over each other just to communicate. It took away from what could have been an enjoyable night out. The food was the biggest disappointment. The flavors felt muted and watered down, lacking the depth and spice you’d expect from a restaurant that markets itself around authentic, vibrant cuisine. Everything looked appealing on the plate, but the taste didn’t match the presentation. The house margaritas were also underwhelming and forgettable. For a place with such a strong visual identity, I expected the food to be just as bold. Right now, it feels like ambiance is prioritized over flavor. With more attention to seasoning and a more balanced atmosphere, this restaurant could truly stand out.
Warning !! If you are looking for a Mexican dining experience on the world famous Las Olas, look elsewhere! From the atmosphere, bland food, poor service and overall “family vibes” (even on a busy Saturday in prime tourist season).
