I love this place. They've got a great variety of food, soups, and desserts, turkey and pork ribs every day, also the steak 🥩 is included in the "all you can eat" dinner price. Friendly staff and good service
Had a nice brunch with my boys after a long wonderful eye doctor appointment. Everything was of course delicious and our host DJ was the best in customer service very friendly, polite and kept our table very clean. Thank you DJ.
I’m thrilled this location finally opened! I first tried Golden Corral in North Carolina and Texas, and this spot captures that Southern hospitality perfectly. The portions are generous, with a wide selection of soul food—a wonderful way to share Black cuisine with those who’ve never experienced it. The staff is incredibly friendly, and having a dedicated waiter or waitress at a buffet is a unique touch that adds to the experience. They also have take out! The food is delicious and well-seasoned, though it’s mild enough for those with sensitive tastes or allergies to adjust as needed. For you veggie lovers,, they have a nice variety. The atmosphere is lively and heartwarming—it’s great to see this place so busy. I’ll definitely be back!
Food was so good and Fresh great restaurant they got a little bit of everything
We had a nice experience at the new Golden Corral. The cashier and servers were very friendly. All the different entrees looked very appealing. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken breast... moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. My daughter was thrilled to see the blue cotton candy that was served in a plastic bag. Had an amazing trip to the local buffet, very clean dining room, upbeat staff and very friendly. James the manager was on the floor interacting with the guests and staff. Avyanna our server was on top of our table and very friendly.
Golden Corral on Shaw is the best place to eat in Fresno. The food is tasty and cooked to perfection and the customer service is great. Very rarely will you find a place in Fresno that has great customer service anymore. They have the best food and service and that is due to Frank, the general manager!! As well as Marisa and their staff. From the time we walked in they greeted us and made us feel so welcomed and kept coming up to us and refilling our drinks and made sure we got everything we needed, to the time we walked out!! Frank is the best and so is his staff!! Highly recommend this place!!
Food was great. Service was ok, z little slow. Restaurant was clean. They had a good variety of foods to eat. Salad dressing wasn't watered down. The fried chicken was juicy. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I will be going back.
Everyone on staff and hostess are Friendly and helpful they are so polite . The restaurant is clean the food is very good I am very satisfied my family is satisfied.the dessert 🍪🎂 is very good. Thank you
We’ve been here twice now, and our experience has been nice. The cashiers and servers are friendly and very helpful. Our server Laura was very nice annd kept checking on us, without being intrusive and we saw a young man by the name of DJ working hard picking up plates and cleaning tables. Lots of different food options. Place is busy but everything moves along fine. Will definitely be back! For all the people complaining, maybe they should stay home! 😊
It is so nice to have a good buffet with food variety. There is Mexican food (tamales, enchiladas, menudo, pozole and tacos). American food (steak, pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and baked Potato bar). Salad bar with your choice of toppings. Desserts to fit everyone's taste and sugar free options as well. May be a wait depending on the time of day you go and it may get a little noisy but it's just everyone enjoying the food and company.
I have been here 3 times this far. I'm very happy they reopened since they closed down 15 years ago in Clovis. The first time I visited was on a Friday afternoon and it was very busy. I'm not very good with crowds so I came back on a Thursday and a Monday. I was very delighted with the staff as they are very welcoming and attentive. It takes a special kind of personality and work ethic to stay pleasant in such a busy and demanding work environment. Great job management for hiring friendly staff members.
First time we've gone there. We enjoyed it . The 2yr old we brought with us enjoyed the food
Something for everyone, and quite tempting options too! We've enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The food buffet is fresh, delicious, and clean. They also have the to go option if you want to not overeat, are in a hurry or want to save money. Our favorite is the breakfast price.
Food was GREAT. Very fresh. Nothing was old. The service was good. She kept the table clean and brought everything we needed.
I never knew there was a Golden Corral Buffet in Fresno! I was down here for the Winter Rodeo prelims at the Double RR Ranch with my pal Roudy Yates, he's shooting for the Grand National quarter horse events, and he took his whole crew to the Golden Corral Buffet...all two of us! What a treat it was, the Golden Corral Buffet is always an excellent choice. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Highly recommended this place we from kern county and we drive all the way to Fresno but so worth it food and staff are so nice always asking if we need anything awesome for family breakfast, lunch or dinner 🫶🏼
Large selection of food. Everything was hot and fresh. The staff was courteous and helpful. Would recommend.
Been here 3 times for dinner. The place is always busy but the line to be seated moves very fast. Great selection of food and everything tastes delicious. You have to have their steak, which is grilled right in front of you however you like it and taste amazing. Everything is hot and salad bar fully stocked and fresh. It's hard to decide what to eat cause there's so many selections to choose from. Their staff is very friendly and busy keeping the dining areas clean and ready for diners.
Good selection of food. Steaks cooked to order. Great salad bar & dessert area. Pretty expensive though. 4 kids, 4 adults & 3 seniors was 225 bucks. But it is all you can eat. They need more diet drink options. Not 1 diet drink.
How I miss eating at Golden Corral. The food was great and well seasoned. Great selections of pies and dessert to choose from. Service was great and staff were friendly. Our servers were the best, pickup trays and refills drinks without complains. Thank you for the great services and time.
Huge variety of food choices. DJ did an exceptional job of clearing off table as we finished off a plate. He always was doing something to make our and others guest experience great. Also hats off to the cooks for making delicious food.
I been to this Golden Corral since it opened and have been going ever since. Everything is beyond perfect. The employees here are incredibly generous. The food is amazing for what you paid. I remember when it was still a Home Town Buffet and I was sad when it was closed. Golden Corral still kept the exact same layout but also made it look prettier. Really amazing and nostalgic. 10/10
Went for the first time And i was amazed. The food is good. The mac & cheese, tater tots, mini corn dogs, apple Pie was really good. All though aside from all that i will say the chicken fried chicken, drum sticks and the fries are too salty. Over all the food was great!
Went in a little to closing time and all the food was still fresh and delicious. The option for food to go was a little bit pricey, but worth it. I didn't have to go cook dinner at home.
The food was excellent, hot and fresh. Every pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be eating there again.
Jocelyn and so many young ladies were smiling the chefs were smiling asking if we needed any other service I talked to both managers one man in the burgundy shirt tall one bed and a navy blue shirt tall. Both gentlemen were really sweet especially the one behind the chicken part counter doing the countdown on the fried chicken but everyone was so happy and they have been waiting on this for so long. Thank you for the servers keep in mind dad's and my cups field we feel very blessed and everything was hospitable. 💞💞💞💞🎊🤭
Has bigger salad and dessert section than some other locations, or maybe it feels like so because the entree section is much smaller - almost feels like I'm at Sizzler's salad bar. Nevertheless, the food was good enough - exactly what you would expect at Golden Corral, so I am not unhappy - it was a good experience, and the bang for the buck is good. Good ones were the pot roast, fried shrimp, and grilled steak (dinner). Honestly if you don't care eating steak, Sizzler's unlimited salad bar probably gets you same quality and selection for less price - but if you do want at least one piece of steak, Golden Corral is probaby the way to go. And I'm not saying the steak is going to taste like Fleming's, or Yosemite Ranch, Elbow room, Texas De brazil, etc. It is pretty basic, not high quality cut - and you shouldn't ask for juicy and fatty prime cut meat at $22.99 per guest for unlimited steak. Having said that, Golden Corral steak is probably better than Outback's 😂I enjoyed my steak at Golden Corral.
I was so impressed I went today with 3 others and it was packed. It's a Sunday usually packed with people after church. The good was hot and delicious, the girls that worked at our table was sweet, kind and cool. I had them getting water for me at least 6x and they did it with a smile. Enjoyed talked to each of them. What impressed me the most was the restrooms, wow. I have never ever been to a restaurant or store for that matter and saw a clean, fresh smelling, bathroom. No papers on the floor toilets clean smelled really good and fresh. I had to tell one of the girls how impressed I was with the bathroom. Considering how packed it was you couldn't tell in the bathrooms. They were the cleanest I ever seen. Great job Golden Corral Fresno on W. Shaw. Def recommending everyone to go enjoy the food, atmosphere etc. Thanks for a great experience girls. God Bless you all.

She came for breakfast with my husband today. It was really clean. There was a ton of food. Everything was absolutely fresh. Our server Sherri was amazing. She went above on to make sure all our needs were met. I want to thank the staff for doing an amazing job and the cooks for the favorable food and especially for all the people in the back with the desserts. Everything looked absolutely beautiful.

We recently dined at Golden Corral and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was warm and delicious, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. It was evident that this restaurant is a popular spot, as it was bustling with customers, adding to the lively atmosphere. Despite the presence of many children, who were understandably loud, the overall experience was fantastic. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff made it a great visit. If you're looking for a hearty meal and a vibrant dining environment, Golden Corral is the place to be
Food was great service was great food selection was a mixed bag because of lunch rush somethings gone or having to be made but all in all thumbs up
Their food quality is very average, but the price is great. Compared to the price from other fresno buffets, theirs is I think the cheapest. I come here only when I'm sure I would eat alot or when I'm super hungry for a big meal. If you won't eat much, then it's not worth the money. They do have lots of veggies dishes, so great if you're a vegetarian.
Was a good first experience at a breakfast buffet! Selection was fresh and plentiful, very tasty also. The atmosphere was well lit and felt comfy. Food was very good, could have been warmer though, just my preference. Service was good. Price was right. Bakery was the highlight for me, love my sweets and breads, Great presentation!! We will be back.
Kids buffet prices are a bit too much in my opinion especially for what they eat. The restaurant was clean as was the restroom. The food selection was plentiful. They have a whole dessert section with different varieties as well as ice cream and icees. Bussers are quick to pick up dirty dishes and cup out of the way. Only bad thing was they were not quick to change what dishes were out at the time so for certain items you had to guess. Will probably return...
The Fresno ca on West Shaw Ave. The Manager Marissa or Melissa is Great Beautiful Caring girl. I didn’t know I had drop my wallet. She found it found me. That is priceless. Golden Corral owner she is an asset to your Company. You have a genuine girl in on Your team. Now about her work ethic. It is great , she is walking around giving Beverage refills to customers. Checking for our needs and still checking food lines. Communicating with crew. Do you get it? I could go on and on she’s great. Hi, in my family will definitely be back. Oh yeah a female busser was also on her game
Was surprised they were even still in business, but lunch was good, atmosphere was fine, and I was able to get some of my southern favorites like catfish, fried okra, and bananna pudding.
Enjoyable!!! 🤭 On this Day Went at a cool time of the day. It was a Friday afternoon around 1:00pm. Not a big crowd at all. Food was good hot and Fresh Price was $20, fore one ☝🏾
1st time customer. 1st impression was pleasent. Front counter staff was very friendly and welcoming. You can tell the staff throughout was trying to keep everything running smooth and clean. Decor was very nice. I was impressed with the amount of food options there was. Most dishes were very good and well, others fell pretty short on flavor and prep. Steak was prepped very poorly, actually charcol'd to death. Some of the desserts looked very unappealing, couldn't even make out what they were. Overall, I would give this location a positive review and will return. Thank You!
Food was good, not great but thats to be expected. Workers were very nice and polite.
I moved from Sacramento & the one in Sac looked nicer. It was okay & there are a fair number of choices. But a lot of fried, breaded or high fat items other than the salad bar. The attendant was very attentive
Tried for the 1st time, I have been waiting on a good buffet to come to Fresno and this is pretty good came for breakfast stayed for lunch, had a lot of food the catfish was exceptional along with the tartar sauce, the scrambled eggs were good, salad, and the ham, were really good…i recommend this place to get your grub on $22 was well worth it.. They make omelets to order, had grilled bbq chicken, and hamburgers straight off the griill...its a buffet come enjoy yourself
A good variety for dinner, drinks are additional charge. The food for first day being open. Fried chicken was salty, the fish was good, cornbread dry, mashed potatoes salty, tried pecan pie dessert and was shocked that even that was salty. Normally pecan pie is very sweet. I will be taking blood pressure medication next time. Have to try breakfast to see if that's different. Speed and service on the first day was pretty good, they were busy. You could spot the slow employees from those that were moving with purpose and that included managers too.
Trying GC for the first time with family. It was very good dinner experience. There was a lot of family friendly comfort food. Will try again soon. Thank you!

I go to Golden corral mainly to get a spinach salad with all the fixins, good vegetables and some basic good food. On this trip the steak was tender and cook med well the way it should be with just a little pink. It was clean, food was full and lots of options. I would recommend.
Staff were friendly and the place was clean. We went during dinner and were able to get steak cooked to order which was nice! However, many of the foods were either too salty or tasted like a microwaved dinner. The best food items were fried chicken and pizza. Overall I enjoyed the experience, but don’t plan on going back.
My wife and I came here for dinner. The food was okay. The Fried Chicken was good the mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good as well. The pot roast and roast beef were very dry the gravy did help. The desserts were very underwhelming. The soft serve ice cream was grainy it was probably made from a powdered mixture versus a nice creamy liquid mixture. Most of the food was just okay it wasn't terrible but there wasn't much that was great. The bathrooms were putting off a extremely nasty odor that was not very appealing nor was it very good for one's appetite
We lived in Norman, Oklahoma for a few years while my husband was an administrator at University of Oklahoma. We went to the Golden Coral Buffet & Grill frequently. The food was great. We tried the new Golden Coral restaurant that opened recently. The food was just ok. I was not impressed. It really felt like a cafeteria. We were disappointed. It is also expensive. Each person is charged $20 to $30. Drinks were an additional cost. Their salad bar was great.
It depends on the cook. I went for dinner before it was really good. I went for lunch today and it wasn’t good at all. The chicken was undercooked and the food needed more seasons
I went to get a thanksgiving meal for 2! Got there around 7:30pm! Restaurant was busy! Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend the carving station/ grilled to order steaks! The ham and steak were very good. Unfortunately they were out of turkey as well as several sides like yams, mashed potatoes, cakes and pies. And pay by the pound can be expensive! So be careful. The dressing (stuffing) had a good flavor but just way too runny! I will go back, but definitely earlier in the day. And undecided on another holiday visit.
This is a difficult review because it's a buffet. For instance I wanted to get a burger slider but the Buns were clearly burnt black and they chose to serve them anyway, but then the pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy was very good. The point being quality control. I wanted to try other items but did not pass the eye test. I wanted to give service a five-star rating because our person who refilled our drinks and removed our plates was outstanding. But it took forever to get a seated because there was only one person at the register to get us started. I hope this helps
Food is decent overall, but some of it wasn't great. The steaks are completely overcooked and burned on the outside, yet some people STILL asked for well done. Please learn how to serve and be served steaks. Many food items were not labeled. Only one set of utensils was provided. Waiters are unnecessary for a self-service buffet. I will return and hopefully improve my review next time.
Ordered two adult buffet and drinks and my bill was $59.95, no senior discount offered. The selections were basically what you could find. Most dishes were dried out or what you could scrape off the side of the serving dish. It's not worth the price in my opinion
Food was good! Didn't know the Lobster is a extra charge. Had to wait for plates more than twice. Very few people working the floor. Plates kept piling up.
Nice employees assistanting customers. Employees within each other not so much. There was a employe who burned his female coworker arm. Seems like they spoke to their manager about the accident but he seemed to not care. Didn't stay to see the show but their needs to be better team friendliness. Food was good but some where cold. Ice cream machine doesn't work. Slowwwwww to dispense icecream (one out of the two ice cream where broken) with a long line just for vanilla flavor. For the price and food I would rather go to a Chinese buffet. Place is ok just wouldn't come back with my family. For 4 ppl it came to $110.
Well my gf kept on about going cause its so good she would say. So I decided to try it out and my honest opinion...it was a disappointment. They didn't really have many selections and their ice-cream machine wasn't working. I honestly would've enjoyed a fast food place alot more than this. But that's just my opening. I won't be going again.

Pace is ok, friendly customer service . Some food is not edible to standards for breakfast. Dinner is better, yet be careful on fried foods. Noticed fries & seafood was not cooked completely. Had to send it back . Sweets & salad was good. Soups are good flavors. They do need more markings on the products. There was areas missing or no labels. Over all it is a place to eat buffet. Cost each person at breakfast will run you $22.20 out the door . I stay for the dinner to take in on all the menu items.

When you think of golden coral and you think rows and rows of food, so many choices and a chocolate fountain then this is not the Golden Corral to go to because this is nothing like that… only a few choices, best thing was fried chicken, and fried shrimp. Other than that people seemed to love their rolls… needs more options of food. Only a few desserts. Temperature was hot so that was a plus. Lunch adult price is $16.99 until 4 pm and extra cost for drink. Then there was the raw pizza dough… so if you like that then this is all for you! People do not give any personal space. Seems like everyone is hungry for nothing. John’s incredible pizza buffet is way better. Won’t go back.
Tried this location several times. The first 2-3 times after they opened everything was pretty good. Even with the higher prices, it seemed worth it. However the last 3-4 times the quality has continued to decline. For $60 on a Sunday afternoon it should be fresh and at the peak of freshness. Nope. We basically paid $60 to enjoy mashed potatoes. Never again! Sooo disappointed and just mediocre at best. I see how the new has definitely worn off this place; just another subpar restaurant.
I was excited to try this buffet out, unfortunately I left very disappointed. The only good thing about this place was the cucumbers which you can't mess up. Most of the food tasted like the one placed next to it. I honestly feel like all the food is from cans and they probably use the same oils for all the food. Why would broccoli taste like fish? I don't recommend this place, you're better off going to golden harbor.. ITS WAY BETTER! This place was not worth the price.
The breakfast menu was awesome! Unfortunately there seemed to be a mixup and we didn't really get to eat much. Our server had just returned from lunch and cleared our whole table! Receipt GONE... brand new cup of OJ and fresh coffee all cleaned up. We had only been there 15 min and we were dumbfounded.. we ended up leaving without getting to finish eating so I would say that would be our last visit there. We have been in for dinner a few times and this never happend...
Very disappointing. My experience was nothing like I expected. I frequest the Bakersfield GC and this fresno location is nothing like it. It is pressed for space. We were sat in a walkway to the kitchen by desserts. It was very uncomfortable! When we got food, we had to fight our way back to our table! The workers stand in groups at that corner by the dessert bar and guests are getting desserts, therefore we could not get to our table. Very bad place for a table. The entire place was filthy. The floors made me sick. The womens restroom was very bad. Trashcans were over flowing in the stalls. And the food was not great at all. My roll (which is my favorite part of GC) was hard and cold. The salad was ok. There were not many topping to choose. I am very disappointed. I will make the trip to Bakersfield.
My husband and I went to golden corral recently before he had a flight to enjoy the breakfast buffet. I’ve gone multiple times at a location in North Carolina where it was always really good and hot. I thought it would be the same at this location and was unfortunately disappointed. Majority of the food was cold making the experience not as appealing. Otherwise they had good coffee, salad, and desserts; the service was good overall with the workers being friendly. The hot food was just not up to par and I understand it’s a buffet with their being minimal people at the time to enjoy the food, it sits, the warmers should at least keep the food warm to enjoy. As of right now I would not be returning to this particular location.
Just wasn't good food. I remember Golden Corral in Clovis in the 90's, boy that was good!!! As if your mama cooked everything herself. I hate to give bad reviews but we were very, very disappointed.
I would say for what we paid the food could've been better, there wasn't much variety. The customer service was okay they weren't very friendly. The desserts (cakes) were pretty dry. A lot of what I wanted was either cold or not cooked very long. The seating I felt was real close to each other. I wish the food looked how it said on the website or at least had more variety of things, don't think I'll be coming here again unfortunately
It was just okay. The best part about my meal was my made to order omelette. Did not appreciate a mouthful of coffee grinds on my last sip of coffee. Luckily I was with my family so I didn't make a fuss and it was my birthday!
Food was ok, I would like if they had a choice of baked chicken, I wanted greens, I wasn't sure what they had that looked somewhat like greens but I nope I wasn't sure. Would I go back, probably not.

Worst food I ever had. $85 for 3 people. My salad and water were my best items. Never again. Our server Angie was a doll. She was nice and had good hospitality at all the tables.
First of all, I understand the lunch and the dinner price changes at 4, my partner and I got to the restaurant at 3:25. By the time we reach the register it was 4:02 and of course we had to pay dinner price. Im completely upset, but it is what it is. Not only we had to pay dinner, my drink cup had lipstick stain and that irritated me even more. While getting a new cup, I decided it's time to get some food, and behold! The first plate I got from the "clean" area, there was old food still stuck to the plate! Oh I was done, I didn't want to throw a fit so I just gave it to the server immediately and told her "this one is dirty". Overall, the place was super busy, the service was adequate, the cook was nice, it's just the experience itself I was not happy.
Heard about the opening for so long and finally got together with my family to try it. Got sat down right away. A+! Kinda crowded but nonetheless. Started off with the drink station, got our drinks, then immediately off to the food. Got my first plate and it was really good and hot. Flavorful. (Picture included) Afterward, it was ok. Meatloaf was overly tangy with ketchup, Mac and cheese was bland and mushy. Desserts tasted like Betty Crocker boxed cake. Our server, Savannah was attentive and sweet. Guests looked like they were in bad moods so it killed my appetite for a good portion of the night. I could have went for more. My husband, brothers and sons enjoyed it. Is worth it? Once in a while when you’re not wanting to cook and don’t want to be home. I wish all the food was consistent in flavor like my first plate.
This was my first and last time visiting this Golden Corral. I called the day before to ask about bringing a party of 15 and was given completely wrong information. When we arrived, we were told they don’t take reservations, don’t do prepaid, don’t set up large tables, and don’t even sing happy birthday. Because of that, my family had to sit separately at four tables. The service was terrible. There were no plates for over 15 minutes, over 20 people waiting, and multiple food stations were empty. No one was at the meat station, and when I asked an employee in a blue shirt for steak (who looked like a manager), he was passive aggressive and pointed across the station instead of helping. Very unprofessional. The food quality was also extremely disappointing. Most items were overly salty, dry, or undercooked. Even the desserts were soggy or not fully baked. Definitely not worth the price, and now I understand why this location has low ratings. The only good part of our visit was Cecilia, who was friendly and worked hard clearing tables. Overall: poor service, poor food quality, and not a place I would recommend.
$17.99 a person for lunch... food is pretty bad. Pizza is bad. Fried is chicken bad. Hamburger sliders are decent (hard to mess those up). Salad bar decent. Soda good. Ice cream good. Mostly everything is not as good as school cafeteria food.
Worst food I ever had. $85 for 3 people. My salad and water were my best items. Never again. Our server Angie was a doll. She was nice and had good hospitality at all the tables.

It’s such a shame how one person can ruin so much! I’m a business owner. I know how hard it is to obtain a loyal customer base! I work with non profits and community based organizations throughout the Central Valley! Two separate visits two bad experiences from the same person! The female manager was responsible for my bad experience. She was Completely unprofessional and ruined my experience at this location both times! It sucks when a person shows you they know what good customer service is but they just refuse to give it to you specifically!
For the type of food it is the price is very high. The shrimp were over cooked and dry. The chicken fried steak was weird. The cup situation is odd. Can I only use the one cup? Are the clear cups for refills? There is juice but it isn't labeled. The drink section is much smaller than home towns. The ham was good but the server only gives a tiny piece not even a full slice so you have to ask for more. Another tiny piece like three bites. For $30 a person that's ridiculous. There is no trays so if you have kids you're screwed. You can't leave them alone at the table but you also can't carry multiple plates. Please get trays. Silverware isn't out either so we had to hunt people down for that. Ugh Nothing was hot or even warm.
Food in general was nasty! The restroom smells very bad, you can smell them by the salad bar. Couldn’t even get from the salad bad thinking of all those germ in the air contaminating the salad bar because it’s steps away from the restrooms. Never going back.
I gave a 1 because of the food. Went for breakfast and was sick for 2 days afterwards. All the sides were cold and salty. The tamales were under cooks soft and no taste. It is a shame I used to go to golden corral in Southern California and lines were out the door because the food was great. This wasn't the case.
Absolutely horrible. $35 for one lunch with drink. Nothing I tried was worth putting in my mouth. Left three plates on the table. What ever you do don't go eat there! You've been warned ⚠️
There is an extremely small variety of food. Not to mention the food was terrible! All the workers were rude. Would bump right into you and not even apologize or say excuse me. Not worth the my time! First and last time I will ever go.
I honestly was not impressed at all by this Golden Corral. I'm originally from Texas and I've been to Golden Corral in Wisconsin as well and this was not a typical Golden Corral. The buffet choices were not as advertised. Some items were either overcooked or undercooked. InTexas and Wisconsin you have a big variety of food choices from sliders to steak and a big variety of different roll choices along with a variety of butters. They also offer different soups and Asian dishes. The dessert bars are filled with lots of tasty choices and the soft serve machine is always working. I was disappointed that this location in California didn't offer many choices and the dessert bar wasn't as good either. I really wanted ice cream but the machine was out of order. The ladies that clean tables and pick up your dirty dishes are not too friendly and they expect a tip. For what? Clearing your used plates? At least the other Golden Corralsi mentioned in Texas and Wisconsin they ask how you're doing and ask if you need drink refills and get it for you and drinks are included in the price of the buffet. My Son payed almost 90.00 for a buffet that was not impressive and rude workers. Will not return and would not really recommend it. If you're ever in Texas try their Golden Corrals ... You'll definitely see a different in the buffet choices.
When it first opened the food was on point. Great selection and fresh. This last time we came food was not as usual. Meatloaf was dry and burnt and the chicken and dumplings were cold. To make matters worse they refused to allow my husband (who is diabetic) bring in his own drink. Manager told him to drink water. Who wants to drink water with dinner? This place has pretty much gone down hill.
Food is hit or miss, all the food looks like it’s sitting out for a while and doesn’t look appealing especially for $23 that they are charging you, workers are not friendly. Cashier was having a personal conversation with another employee when we walked up and finished her conversation before she even acknowledged us. Sharon the lady in our section skipped our table multiple times, never came to talk about us. Only reason I know her name is because she kept introducing herself to every other table and getting them refills but not us, went to other tables multiple times. This is not nice and she’s lucky it’s a new year.
I'm sorry but never again. Food is not good it's definitely giving royal Caribbean food. Temperature is good but food doesn't taste good lacking lots of flavor. But what overall did it for me was yes they have stacks of plastic gloves near the plates but they didn't have anyone standing and enforcing making sure people actually put them on!! This is imporatnt I didn't like eating and having to think of all the hands that were touching the spoons with no gloves and then put back in the serving dish literally me and my party were the only ones using gloves to serve ourselves. None of the other customers used gloves!! Just definitely not sanitary. 🦠🦠🦠🦠🤢🤢🤢🤢
I believe this is a rebrand from Hometown buffet, but it is even worse than that used to be. It was just pure microwave dinner slop. It feels like high school cafeteria food. It’s cheaper for a buffet but definitely not cheap enough for how bad the food tastes. I could think of dozens other restaurants with tastier food at a lower cost. Took my parents who are gluttonous when it comes to buffets and neither even wanted to get a second plate. I’ve never witnessed that before.
Went for breakfast and the food was between cool and lukewarm. Food wasn't of the highest quality either. This would all be fine and acceptable if it's in the neighborhood of $8.99 but it's NOT! I feel like like I was ripped off and won't be going back. Do better Golden Corral or your stay in Fresno will be short lived.
Good Lord where to even begin. I didn't get too many items (for fear of getting sick after eating what I did eat) so I can only comment on what I tried and what I saw. First.. nowhere near the one that closed in Clovis years ago. This location is AWFUL. Went there for lunch buffet at about 2:30. Started with the salad... ranch dressing, what was left that I had to scrape from the bottom of the bowl, was overly sweet. Croutons were stale. Lettuce looked like going bad pieces were mixed in with fresher pieces. The cheddar cheese looked and tasted so processed. Got the bourbon chicken, at least I hope it was chicken, and they were tiny skinny pieces that many were hard; taste was ok. The mashed potatoes were so dry that I had to bang the spoon hard to get them on my plate, and still had difficulty doing so. Plus, the container was about 1/4 full so guessing they were old. That's another thing, so many items weren't being refilled. The gravy that was next to the potatoes was old as it had solidified film on top, like the clam chowder soup I tried. The mac n cheese was mush. I wanted a carved piece of ham but once I looked at the tiny bit that was left on the cutting board and saw how dried out it was, I moved on. Plus there was no one at the station to slice it. I then moved onto the desserts. I grabbed a piece of what I think was chocolate pie, and some lemon cake. All I could handle of each was one bite and almost spit out the chocolate one. The chocolate pie was about the nastiest thing I ever tasted. It was so thick and dry. The so-called lemon cake didn't taste anything like lemon but more like what it looked like, overly greasy cake. The entire place looked like it's always in disarray. NEVER going back which suck as I love American buffets and this is the only one in town.
First time and last time the food is not good and they don't even have tables for 10 people i went with my family and they put us in different tables and we where only 9 people they put my kids in a different table .is not worth paying almost $300 for nine people and not having a good service. Worst buffet i ever went 😫 😩 😪 😑
They were not prepared for the amount of people that came on a Sunday. We had to wait for silverware. The food was really bad as some was inedible due to the amount of salt. My expectations were low but they even missed that expectation. The server was really good thought
I just got a meal here and it was awful. I thought coming home to CA would give my tummy much needed good food. Well tomorrow is another day. Thank Goodness CA is not like OR flooded with bad food! Yay!
The worst food i ever had and I’ve been to jail. Spent $35 for one adult and a 4 year old the sodas were flat, eggs watery, pancakes burnt, sausage was cold, the only thing my kid ate because she said everything was nasty was the plastic bowl of cereal, the waffles tasted fine but thats the one thing you have to make so it was edible. Do not bring your family if you want to leave after eating feeling good i shoulda went to Denny’s woulda been same price if not cheaper with the all you can eat pancakes for $6.99
In Houston Texas their food is great. I was so happy to go to this one. Spent over $70 for 3 at lunch. A lot of food was cold. Tamales, meatloaf and others even though someone was walking around with a thermometer. The hot link sausage was totally gross. The only thing that was eatable was the popcorn shrimp and the little burger they had. I tried a little bit of everything but the food was horrible. Please ask your Texas location how they do it better. I guess I have to travel back to Texas to have a good golden coral experience.
