this location came to me as a huge surprise. it's absolutely delicious. the portion sizes are great. i've eaten here only twice but each time it has exceeded my expectations. i hope to try some more items off the menu as well and visit more often when i am in the mood for some really good food. if you're deciding between visiting here and another restaurant; do yourself a favor and eat here!
We come here for the Ensenada style fried fish tacos and the generous seafood ceviche. Priced reasonably and portions are great. Counter order and pick up, no waiters. has ample parking but it does get full during lunch.
The seafood cocktails were incredibly authentic, full of fresh flavors and prepared with real care. Every bite tasted vibrant and clean. The micheladas were rich, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. A fantastic experience.
Delicious Fish Tacos! Go on Wednesdays for the fish taco special. They looked so good I ordered 3. After a short wait, they were ready and ate 2, then decided I had to leave a review. Hence, the photo only has 1 fish taco. You should try them.
Great food and great price. Trust me, food is delicious. Very busy, which is a bit of a problem because they can't accommodate the people coming in at rush hours. Tables inside and out fill up. My wife and I get cheviche with good portions. Kids got tacos and burritos. The food was very good. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is usually full. Would get more stars really, which affects their service. No parking or place to eat makes us sometimes come back another time when there is enough space. They do have fast service.
Cheap, cheerful, good food. We went on a day of the week that has fried fish tacos as a special. I had 3, but 2 would have been okay. I also had the Ceviche San Lucas, which was fabulously spicy shrimp - what burns on the way in, burns on the way out. It's always busy and there's lots of Asian customers, so you know it's good food and good value.
Ordered lunch here through Grubhub. Walked inside and immediately noticed how clean everything is. The condiments are all bagged and added to the order. The employees enforced the social distancing (which I appreciate 👍) Got a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Both were good, but i think I preferred the fish. The batter is light, and crispy. The fish and shrimp are quite hot, so give it a minute.
I am a life-long Fish Taco fan. In Ensenada of course I eat my favorite of all, in other parts of Baja, Southern California - I have had Fish Tacos every where and try them any where they are available just to try people's different versions of their Fish Tacos. Fish Tacos are my favorite food. With this said, this place is delicious. The Fish Tacos are unique tasting, the fish is nice and fried not too oily and the tortillas are yellow! This is always an added bonus because it shows me a place really tries to give you the authentic Ensenada style Fish Tacos. The ceviche is good, lemony and although the fish is diced up in big pieces it looks intimidating - but trust me - it is still tasty. The ceviche de camarón is also good. Fresh. Fresh like everything else here. Today I tried the Coctel De Camaron and it was also tasty. You really can't go wrong with anything here. I am going to make it a mission to try everything on the menu. It just looks all very tasty and Fresh! Did I say Fresh? Great ambience too. The feel is just right along with different options of drinks including a Jamaica /Orange Bang / Horchata dispenser to boot! Go! Go now!
Their fish tacos are SO delicious!! And their ceviche is amazing. Their food in general have never disappointed me. Whenever I think of fish tacos. I come here. 5 Out of 5 Cleanliness 5 Service 5 Food 5 Atmosphere 5 Price 5 There is usually a long line during lunch and taco Tuesday so be aware! Also parking sucks but the food is worth it!
Great spot for seafood tacos. Location: It had dedicated parking spots which is great. Inside was clean but also a little chilly temperature wise. Staff: Friendly staff and helpful Food: I got the salmon, fish, and baja, all grilled. The tacos were stuffed with good portions of seafood which is great. All delicious and pretty big in comparison to normal traditional tacos. Price: about $15 per taco. But compared todays prices and prices at fast food joints it's pretty reasonable Overall I really liked it here
OUTSTANDING SEAFOOD!!! Definitely recommend ! They were very busy, but line moves fast, great service , friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Get the Baja tostada, it’s huge ! Also would recommend the mix soup or 7 mares . Delicious! Just lots of food for the price. I’ll be back !
This place is always so delicious!!!! My wife and the kids go and sit outside on the patio, even though there's room inside. It's always so fresh outside. This was a shrimp quesadilla plate, don't let the picture fool you, the potion's are huge!! I had a fish burrito and it was the size of my arm!!! Taco Tuesday deals and pleasant staff, a little bit pricey but worth it!! I'll give it two thumbs up!!
Most authentic seafood cocktails!! Freshly made and perfectly prepared. The micheladas were delicious as well 10/10.
If your are looking for quick friendly service for some fresh good fish tacos this is the place to check it out Monday Thur Wednesday are pure specials but Wednesday is all fish tacos special lemon pepper chili and the vinegar with onions it's just an amazing combo to try with the fish tacos great big tacos. I highly recommend to try it out.
If you like seafood and the taste of Ensenada food, this is the spot to come. The fish and shrimp tacos which are my go to tacos are a mouth full of goodness, I've tried the shrimp burrito and that bad boy is amazing. You wont regret it, come eat here totally recommend it. They sell adult beverages which is a huge plus for the type of food they offer, they have a restroom, and outdoor sitting. Fish taco special I believe either Tuesday or Wednesday's, they are fulfilling so heads up but you wont be unsatisfied.
Super good, I came during fish taco Wednesday and got 3 fish tacos for cheaper then I'd of gotten them at Del Taco and damn they're good. I can't wait to come back here and try more things. Pretty busy around lunch time, but there's no question why. Delicious.
Crispiest fish taco I’ve ever had. The Al pastor was really tasty as well.
Excellent Mexican seafood restaurant specializing in fresh fish, shrimp, and other seafood items. They also have meats such as chicken, beef and carnitas, though not as well known compared to the seafood. They have grilled and fried versions of their food and their portions are huge. Affordable and quick service. Their tortilla (in tacos) are not as good as Taco Manuel, nor are their meat options, but in terms of seafood, this place wins the award. Very busy during the lunch hour. My major complaints: dirty tables, flies attacking your food, and the unfriendly order intake staff. Seafood ceviche was amazing.
Ensenadas has the best fish tacos. Highly recommend the Baja Tacos with breaded fish & shrimp! One or two will fill you up, they're massive. The fish & shrimps are always super crispy and fresh. Shrimp quesadilla is also delicious. Baja Burrito is rly good as well but ginormous. I'd recommend getting an extra Baja taco instead of a burrito. Parking lot is on the smaller side. Would recommend pick up.
The prices are so worth the amount of food you get. So far the best mariscos place I have gone in CA. So recomend it. I've tried the burritos, tacos, fish soup, cocktail, shrimp quesadilla and ceviche
The parking lot is difficult to get to since its situated in a awkward location next to the freeway. Parking can sometimes be difficult to find. If you come during rush hours like lunch time then expect a big line to order. The cashiers are quite efficient and get thru the line fairly quick. The breaded shrimp tacos and breaded fish tacos are to die for. Perfectly cooked with a healthy serving of cabbage toppings and sauce. Its $8.50 for a combo with rice and beans and a drink. The rice and beans are pretty good compared to many other Mexican spots. You can serve yourself horchata, tamarind, orange, drinks or soda fountain. Definitely try this spot out!
Very crowded hard to get parking Food is awesome If you get the taco Tuesday the barbacoa tacos are from pork meat 🍖 n case you don’t eat it
Always very nice to come on Wednesday for their special taco. It's always fresh and nice. 10/10
Excellent shrimp tacos, and very good battered fried tacos as well. One thing was the terrific corn tortillas! Nice and thick and held up well to folding. Lots of beverages too! Different types of horchata drinks as well as sodas and beer.
Great Food, I got the shrimp cocktail and grill shrimp tacos and they were really well served, tacos were amazing, I will keep coming to this place for sure. You will not be disappointed.
The food was on point not overcooked not undercooked it was perfect. I am coming back again it's not that expensive kind of small for sit down other than that they do serve beer but you have to have it inside fish tacos were great crunchy and soft, capachano very good had big portions worth every penny that you work hard for
Great tasting fish ceviche tostada and shrimp cocktail combo (#4 on the menu includes drink). Lots of fish and shrimp portions. I will be returning to try other items.
First time here and I would recommend the fish tacos. These tacos are massive not the little taquitos lol so beware. We also enjoyed the tacos dorados de papa.
Great good, rapid service, clean atmosphere
I work in walking distance, I love that I can order takeout ahead. All the food is fire, the tacos, civeches, burritos, seafood cocktails. Highly recommend they get food out quickly even when busy. The restraunt us clean and food customer service. Most recent order was I ordered 3 tacos in total for picku: 1 Taco de Pescado, 1 Taco de Camaron, 1 Baja Taco
Its breaded fish taco was amazing. The portion of ceviche was quite big. It has the taco of the day for every days of week for cheaper prices.
Ate in. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly and personable, but the food shined brightest! I had the fish ceviche tostadas and shrimp cocktail and they were both outstanding! The next time I find myself in the area I will make it a point to stop in again!
My first time coming here. Very clean , good customer service. Their fish tacos are great and the fish tostada was amazing . Will be back for More ❤️🫶🏻
Fish tacos are big and delicious. I like the daily specials, too. The tostadas and ceviches that other people were eating looked good. Good variety of hot sauces on each table, and reasonable prices.
Wow coming from San Diego these tacos hit the spot. I had combo 1 which includes 2 fish tacos rice and beans and a drink and ordered an additional shrimp taco to taste. The fish tacos is where it's at. I will definitely drive the 30 minutes to come and eat here.
A few years ago on vacation to California, my mom and I found this taco shop. I got the shrimp tacos and very single day since I had that taco I have thought about it. It may have been the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten in my entire existence. I am sad everyday that I can’t come and eat that taco since I live in Colorado. BEST TACOS OF MY LIFE.
Wow! This place is phenomenal! Absolutely the best fish tacos I've ever had! Also ordered the seafood soup and that was fabulous 10 out of 10 actually 20!
We got fish tacos, shrimp tacos, stingray tacos, fish and chips, and a steak quesadilla. The tacos are a good size and they don’t skip out on any meat! Flavor was on point. We ordered too much because we didn’t realize how hefty each taco was. 100% recommend!!!
This place had the best fish tacos in all of California. I have tried many places along the coast and this place takes the crown. I highly recommend!
Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. Get the quesadilla with meat.
Absolutely the best fish tacos around! And their seafood caldo (soups) are so good! The shrimp burrito is ginormous! Very tasty!
Bomb Baja style tacos, and delicious fresh ceviche!
amazing!!! One of the best fish tacos I have in almost all of Southern California. I gone to some fine dining restaurants and this local spot off the freeway is still amazing. Just be warned, long lines, but worth the wait.
Wow, best carne asada burrito I've had in a long time, maybe ever!!! I was initially shocked at the price of the burrito, but it was HUGE!!!! My daughter loved her fish tacos she got too, and the girl who took our order was super nice too!!! All in all, excellent, highly recommend!!!
The family's absolute favorite seafood restaurant, hands down. Fried mojarra ( tilapia) is always perfectly done. Kids love working on it. We make a small bowl of lime juice and tapatio to dip it in. My youngest can typically consume one side of it. My oldest will have the other and 2 shrimp tacos. Seafood tostada is also a favorite. This is one of the few restaurants that is authentic when we go to Mexico. My husband and son always have something different and have yet to be disappointed.
One of my favorite places to get ceviche where I know it will be fresh.
I went on a Friday night, it was pretty packed but the food was super good.
I used to go here for lunch during work at university, this place had the best fish tacos excluding some street stands. The workers were always so friendly and welcoming, it was a one of the highlights of my day. The place is a little small but the food is very worth it.
They have good fish tacos. Good portion for a reasonable price.
$2.99 fried fish tacos on Wednesdays. They don't skimp on the fried fish and the tacos are very good.
Best fish tacos!! Love taking my family there and getting the daily specials. It's also a great place for lunch meetings with both outdoor and indoor seating. I always recommend Ensenada's to visitors or to anyone who has never had it before.
I was very surprised by this place. The quality and flavor was outstanding as well as being very clean and welcoming. I had the #1 which is two fish tacos with rice and beans and a fountain soda for 12.99. Lar gf e overflowing taco with pico de Gallo and mayo. The beans were delicious. My wife got potato tacos. Crispy and soft at the same time. We stopped because it was right off the 57 on Nutwood. Convenient and great.
AMAZING! We walked almost 20min to eat here and I would do it again! Portion sizes was massive and their fish and chips was the cheapest around for top quality!!! Give this place a try they had quite a few customers when we was there! Amazing!
I scarffed down my food before I took a Pic. I'll be back and post a proper review with a Pic, maybe. Get the fish ceviche, grilled Mahi tacos and the Yellow peppers, you have to get the yellow peppers.
Everything at Ensenadas is top knotch quality. The best tacos, salsa, ic cold drinks and spot on service. A must try!
50$ for 1 grilled shrimp burrito, fish and chips, and 1 tosdada of shrimp ceviche. Paid the extra price to have the shrimp grilled in the burrito and it wasnt. The burrito was really big. The food is good, there is nothing here thats bad. Seafood was perfectly cooked tender and flavorful. Service was great A+ all of those workers are running around working hard looks maybe understaffed. When they saw me waiting 40 min in the lobby they were kind and gave me another shrimp tosdada free. Highly would recommend eating here. Will come again
Tried this place for the first time about a week ago. We really enjoyed it so we came back. Seating inside is limited about 6 tables, and some barstool seating. We had the shrimp ceviche, the mango shrimp ceviche, a potato taco and some regular tacos. Food tastes fresh and was pretty packed for a weeknight
This place a small hidden spot close by to the area of Cal State Fullerton. You’ll have to work to find not only a parking spot but also some place to sit down. When it’s busy it might be better off to togo your food and eat it home. Ordered a bunch of things, shrimp tacos (all the versions, regular, grilled, and battered?), fish tacos (grilled and battered), and shrimp quesadillas combo plate (that came with a bit of rice, pinto beans, and salad/slaw). I wanted to try a bunch more things like their ceviche but there was only so much I could eat/order. All of it was great with the toppings of the tomato slaw but definitely the lime you get from the sauce bar/counter helps. They barely have any sauces and you should/could use them to help with the tacos. Overall the highlight for me were the fresh soft corn tortillas from the tacos but especially the unexpected winner from all that was ordered were the grilled fish tacos. I was hesitant at first thinking it would be meh or dry but it was quite far from that. The fish was quite moist and flavorful. I would come here just for the grilled fish tacos. This place is worth it to stop by.
My wife and I decided to order take out from this place for our very first time. I ordered the fish taco plate, which comes with 2 fish tacos,(grilled or breaded) I went with the breaded and it comes with a side of beans and rice. The rice was good but the beans were a little too salty. The tacos were huge! Very good and also very generous with the toppings and portion sizing. My wife ordered a burrito that was enormous! I'm not kidding, I did not get a picture of the burrito but it was an enormous burrito and it was delicious! Definitely recommend the burritos and the fish tacos from this place. 👌
Place had good environment along with its customers. Food had lots of flavor and descent amount. Only part I didn't like was my Shrimp Cocktails shrimp had the shell on almost half of them 😅. Breaded shrimp tacos were delicious, just like to eat as soon as I put it in my mouth not peel them.
Excellent food. No complaints here. The service was ok. While others didn’t leave tips, we did since people are working to feed you. A thank you would have been nice. Not next time. Just gonna pay the tab.
Delicious fish tacos! So happy to have this place nearby! Portions are extremely generous for the price. Specials available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The burrito could feed 2 people, it's huge.
This was my second time here. I came all the way on a plane you could say. I was excited, hungry, and eager. However, round 2, not so fast. Salsa and chips were on point. That's often a test for me and good Mexican-if that's good, the rest should follow. Tacos arrived, excited and they looked awesome. First bite, good, but something missing. Second bite, not better. . . Hummm. Third bite, the disappointment set in. Round 1 was really good, but this time, not hitting it. I left disappointed honestly. Not sure I'd go back after this time. I was really bummed. Chef isn't consistent, that's a bad sign for me. Oh well.
When I need a fried fish taco fix this place does it. Always fast service and food comes out quick, freshly fried, and topping also fresh. Haven't had the ceviche yet but it looks good, I stick to the fried fish tacos and potato tacos which I recommend. The prices are also a plus, plenty bang for buck for what you're getting.
Food was decently priced and was solid A bit too much breading but the only real complaint was how many flies there were
I usually get two fish Tacos and a tostada mista that feeds up to three people. It's like eating in Ensenada but saving the travel time lol My Wife always gets the potato crunchy tacos and something so simple can taste so good. Definitely one of my go to spots for fish tacos and a tostada mixta.
Tacos are so good! I mean it's a taco, but these are definitely delicious. Shrimp is also a popular item.
I like the shrimp burritos here. Sometimes they are just good and sometimes amazing. Never had a bad one, just some inconsistencies in how they are made.
Not the best first experience, so I'll do it again later on. I had the fried fish tacos and they were only OK due to the fish was tough. The fish was fried in dirty oil so the fish had a burnt taste to it. The sauce could be more flavorful, but they were juicy. I will give them another chance.
Decent spot. Burritos are huge and have a good amount of seafood in there. Got the fried shrimp burrito (good) and fish ceviche (ok). Total cost was $30 for two meals and two drinks.
Carne asada quesadilla was a little too greasy. The carne asada inside was excellent. Very tasty. The fish tacos were a little too breaded but overall good. I liked Large portions. I would buy the fish tacos again but not the quesadilla.
This place is decent. I love the one in Corona 100x more. The food is still yummy, but trying this place after trying the one in Corona there’s no comparison. The shrimp tacos are good, the ceviche San Lucas is great too. The service here is always mid & for some reason they seem to always have register issues (cash only). The atmosphere is good for like a place to grab lunch solo or with some coworkers/ catch up with a bud. I wouldn’t recommend any of their non mariscos items; got a quesadilla here and it was soggy and greasy. Now I still would go back from time to time for the tostada, it has amazing flavor & a decent price. But nothing I’m dying to go back for. Thanks!
Ensenada's potato tacos are garbage now they don't put the lettuce and tomato inside the taco anymore they put it on top, the vegetarian burritos have gotten smaller. They do not give you salsa anymore with your meals they say it's inside and it don't be. Overall ensenada has changed it's garbage. 😞
The first time I ordered through GrubHub, I missing item, but they refunded and the grilled fish tacos were so excellent. the second time at work ordered in a week the order was perfect and again I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. tonight to order I ordered four grilled tacos and I got breaded fish so I'm on a diet and I can't eat it I don't want to eat it it's not as good as the grilled shrimp tacos. I gave the driver a $15 tip. the driver was fantastic. The cook keeps on messing up on the orders being delivered, so I can't order from here anymore
This place was recommended to me by my uncle so I came to try it out. I walked in and was greeted by a young guy and an older guy with glasses ended up taking his spot. Thinking that this guy was gonna be nice to take are order but no this guy had an attitude and was annoyed that he was taking are order I didn’t take much time looking at the menu since he didn’t give much of a friendly welcoming. The food was not all the best since I know of other places that their ceviche is better and their staff treat customers a lot better.
Ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. Firstly I was greeted rudely without a smile (which is okay on its own, sometimes you have a bad day) but the tacos were just thrown together, way too much cabbage and not enough sauce barely enough shrimp. The beans were below average and the rice was flavorless. If they didn’t want me to come back they got their wish.
I've been coming here for 5+ years even before it was ensensada and I'm done with it. food used to be better but the customer service is horrible. I come in very polite and on multiple occasions the girls behind the counter are rude for no reason. Mostly the short one with red lipstick. I ask for names and of course they don't give them to me and they don't wear name tag and apparently they don't have a boss or manager to answer too either. This use to be a staple for the Mexican community on Wednesdays it was packed, now it's nothing but Asians. I see why.
