Incredible service and outstanding menu. Totally prepared for the Lone Star Rally. We could not believe how quickly we were served our food. The service was phenomenal definitely recommend stopping here for breakfast.

Shykatz is such a gem! This small, family-owned restaurant is absolutely adorable inside, and the atmosphere immediately makes you feel welcome. We went for breakfast and were blown away by the portion sizes they’re huge and perfect for sharing, so we got to try a couple of different menu items and loved every bite. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. My wife had her eye on the banana pudding cake, and I promised we’d get a slice the next day, but they were already sold out that’s how good it is! I was so so sad but honestly, I don’t mind making a 5-hour trip back just to surprise her with that delicious cake. We instead got the red velvet cake slice ❤️ Everything about this place is wonderful the food, the service, the charm. We absolutely love shykatz and can’t wait to return!

Go hungry!!!! The food is cooked to order and the portions are HUMONGOUS! I'm pretty certain all buds will agree that you can actually TASTE the love it's made with ❤️ It's a busy place but don't be alarmed if the line is out the door because it moves at a steady pace due to the fact that it's open seating. Have a table to yourself or make some new friends who might even offer you a bite! It's a great place to catch locals and get the dig on lesser known things about the island. Lunch was so good I went back for breakfast the next day and many times thereafter when I lived on the island n The stuffed pancakes are not your gimmicky flapjacks on a stick and my leftover chicken fried steak barely fit in my to go box! The Strawberry Fields Forever is a salad aptly named....it's almost a field yield of fresh spinach and strawberries! Bonus: lunch can be ordered at 8am! Everything is cooked to your specifications and it's always been spot on.....even the eggs are never over or under cooked. Seems like they always get it right! They also have a soup of the day, too and Brandi greets each guest with such a sweet spirit and warm presence. Feels like home with strangers 😞

Really fun and really good! The Hurricane is a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and is delicious. We also tried the breakfast quesadilla and it's equally good. The vibe is friendly, casual and welcoming to all people. Highly recommend!

We recently had the pleasure of having breakfast at Shykatz, and it was a truly fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food? Absolutely superb. The kitchen clearly prioritizes serving hot, fresh dishes, and the portions were incredibly generous – definitely worth every penny. My wife, who was initially hesitant about the French Club Sandwich, was completely won over by the addition of a touch of syrup, transforming it into a delightful surprise. The Berries-N-Cream Cinnamon French Toast was another highlight, perfectly coated in cinnamon and bursting with flavor. As for my Rigo's Breakfast Burrito, it was a classic, hearty Mexican-American burrito that instantly brought back comforting memories of home. Overall, Shykatz delivers on both quality and quantity. We left feeling completely satisfied and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and fulfilling meal.

Visited for brunch and it was wonderful, just as we expected. Our daughter got the biscuits and gravy..... said they were wonderful (and I agree as I've had them before). Hubby got the Reuben Omelet and love it. I got the Katastrophic. Oh my goodness...... that was a huge plate of food and it was amazing!!! We checked out the online menu before we went and still changed our minds when we ordered! It is hard to decide what to choose..... everything we've had is wonderful!

This place is a hidden gem!! The service is so warm and welcoming. Very cozy and cute setup. The food though is AMAZING!!! 👏👏👏 You get a huge plate full and tons of flavor. We will be back.

This place is great! The staff is very nice and accommodating. When you walk in, you get the vibe you're in someone's home. A very warm and cozy feeling. The food is fantastic and with reasonable prices. My favorite was picking out my own coffee mug and grabbing my coffee. It was nice touch which reminded me of what I do every morning at my house. I will most definitely stop by here again if I ever come back to Galveston. We miss you already.

This place is ok. Not great, not terrible. I got the berries n cream french toast with the smuggler burrito, not deep fried. The french toast was good but it had way too much cinnamon for my liking. The burrito was ok. It was definitely a good amount of food. I enjoyed the ratio of potatoes, bacon, eggs, however I don’t believe there were any jalapeños inside. The “red” chili was also interesting. It was more like a rojo salsa flavor with the deep red chilis but mixed with like a regular homemade chili. I didn’t really enjoy that with my burrito. It also had a strong onion flavor. The service was ok. This place isn’t my cup of tea but I could see why some other people would like it. My partner enjoyed the meal.
