Lo bueno si breve, dos veces bueno. Un descubrimiento, no solo por la amabilidad de la camarera del viernes 26 por la mañana ,sino por la gente que había : tranquilidad, risas y sin ruido. Vermut super rico. Me quedé con ganas de esa estupenda carta pero más sitios así por favor en Madrid. ¡Volveré!

Excelente lugar para empezar a conocer la gastronomía española. Te ayudan a escoger la opción más adecuada si es tu primera vez en el país. Recomiendo

Si vas a Casa Gloria, no solo vas a comer bien, sino que vas a recibir un trato de diez. Destaco especialmente a nuestro camarero, Coco. Su energía y sus recomendaciones fueron el punto clave de la comida; nos sugirió el vino perfecto para el plato que pedimos y fue súper rápido y eficiente. Se nota cuando un restaurante cuida la atención al cliente. Un 10 para la cocina, pero un 11 para Coco. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Estuvimos anoche celebrando el cumpleaños de una amiga y cenamos de 10. El lugar es muy agradable y Lautaro hizo un trabajo espectacular. Estuvo atento en todo momento. Mi pareja y yo somos veganos y él puso total atención en que comiéramos bien. Repetiremos sin duda.

Me ha encantado este sitio, comida casera y platos abundantes, muy buen ambiente y muy buen servicio por parte de Coco, servían la comida muy rápido. Muy recomendable, volveré sin duda.

Food was amazing! I discovered this gem in 2019 on a weekend getaway. Decided to take my husband last weekend when we visited Madrid and it did not disappoint! The only dish we found a bit overrated was the paella as we much prefer the one in Ibiza…but nothing to complain about! Will definitely be coming back

I used to live in Sevilla 20 odd years ago and my favorite dish was Flamenquin. When I saw that Bar la Gloria had Flamenquin on the menu I just had to go. And through the memories and romanticization they managed to make it better. I can't recommend them enough 💕 The staff are as sweet as they come and made me feel right at home 🥰

Really nice, hearty food and lovely staff. We tried the salmorejo with sardines, the flamenquin and the beef and they were all delicious. The only improvements I could think of are: the fries were a bit too oily for my taste and the room temperature. It was a bit cold, but unfortunately I think the temperatures were quite unusual for Madrid, so that was reflected indoors as well.

Unfortunately I missed the paella day (Sunday brunch), but went for a casual dinner. Most of the meals were good but the tart of tomato and olive oil was incredible ! One of the best dish I had in Madrid.

Amazing arroz on the Sunday. 100% recommend (book in advance!). We also had the croquetas, tomato salad and huevos rotos, with a vermú to accompany. Ate it too quite to take pics!

We spontaneously chose this bar because we have a connection with the name Gloria. My girlfriend and I were there on time for opening and we weren't expecting what we found inside. A super nice and with many details furnished bar with three different rooms as restaurant. It didn't take long and more and more local guests filled the bar. The service was charming and attentive, the drinks and food were all delicious and the prices are absolutely fine. Unlucky we were not there on Sunday, other guests told us about the delicious paella you can eat there. Next time in Madrid we will be there again for sure. Thank you team of Bar La Gloria for the wonderful evening right in front of the tap.

My husband and I happened upon this restaurant and we're so glad we did. The food was incredibly and the service was wonderful! We got the patatas bravas, sandwich (Chicken escalope, green pepper and mayonnaise), Baked oil cake with candied tomatoes from Almería, as well as a sardine dish on top of an amazing puree. We wanted to get one more thing, but our waitress ensured us we had enough :)) She was right, haha, but it was so so good! Shockingly, us and one other couple were the only ones in the restaurant, but the food, service and ambiance was still perfect. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try! Heads up for tourists that the menu is only available in Spanish, however we used the great power of Google, while also just choosing at random and nothing disappointed. Thanks for a wonderful evening, Bar La Gloria!

Delicious food, ideal space for events, super friendly staff After having eaten several times and having tasted its delicious traditional, but with a personal and contemporary touch menu, we decided to celebrate a birthday party in its space reserved for 30 people. All our guests were delighted. La Gloria gave us all the facilities to adjust the event to our needs and budget, being able to participate in the design of the cocktail-menu and the number of drinks we wanted to serve. Although the space is already very nice and decorated with good taste, they allowed us to personalize it slightly to give it a birthday party touch, as well as we could play our own musical background selection. Throughout the event the staff was very friendly and always open to meet our needs. After doing a extensive search for places in Madrid, La Gloria undoubtedly offers a value for money that is very difficult to improve. We will repeat for sure. Highly recommended.

Para comer, no para tomar algo, ya que, si pides una cerveza, ademas de que el precio de la caña es alto, el aperitivo, no pasa de un simple plato de aceitunas o patatas chips.Bar muy limpio, de ambiente tranquilo, con espacio de barra, otro de mesas altas, y a parte, un comedor. La carta es variada y con raciones fuera de lo que encuentras comunmente. Tambien con varias opciones para vegetarianos. La comida, y la cocina es buena y las raciones generosas. Para ser raciones, el precio puede parecer mas elevado que otros lugares

Restaurante andaluz muy concurrido. La calidad de la comida es buena y puedes elegir platos típicos andaluces como apuestas un poco más arriesgadas como el brioche, que estaba buenísimo. El servicio es muy bueno y atento, aunque en ocasiones demasiado rápido debido a que necesitaban la mesa para el siguiente turno se cenas. En la parte de delante tienen barra y mesas altas y detrás tienen el comedor. Recomendable reservar con antelación.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon for paella. I didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was room at the bar. I arrived and 2pm and was told paella service would start at 3pm so I ordered some croquettes and a glass of wine while I waited. The croquettes were really good. The paella wasn't there best I've had, but pretty good still. The chicken was dry and some of the rice didn't seem fully cooked... It's been awhile since I've had paella so I'm not sure if this is how it's traditionally done. Anyways, a decent experience.

Not worth the hype in my opinion. Good paella but rude service! In every restaurant in Spain, there is a 15 minute leeway for being late - even if a customer is late, it’s no excuse to treat them badly! And “throw” the food at them before you even have time to sit down and order a drink.

28,50 € me han cobrado un domingo por un plato, un trocito de pan una Coca-Cola cero y unas natillas con una galleta. El plato era tomate con atún y pimientos bien.. han cobrado 16 € o 17 por un trozo de pan pequeñito industrial un euro una vergüenza y por un postre natilla casero con una galleta ridículo 6.00€ un robo a mano armada nunca más volveré .

Fuimos 11 personas a comer con reserva a las 15:00h, en la que incluimos arroz. Al llegar prácticamente nos tiraron los platos de arroz en la mesa antes de pedir entrantes. Después pedimos el resto de platos y nos lo trajeron a la vez. Cuando quisimos pedir algo más nos dijeron que la cocina ya estaba cerrada y que solo había postres y con el postre no nos ofrecieron café. Al pedírselo nos dijeron que ya iban a cerrar. Todo el servicio lo hicieron con ganas de terminar el turno. Si quieres cerrar a las 17:00h no cojas reservas de 11 a las 15:00h. En cuanto a la calidad de la comida...dejó bastante que desear. Hemos estado 4 o 5 veces y repetíamos porque nos gustaba...pero nunca más. El arroz nos lo sirvieron templado, las raciones pequeñas u sin más.

Caro y poca calidad. Bueno: croqueton de puchero y tamaño postre. Malo: precio, lomo de orza no se parece en nada al de verdad, los camareros te presionan para acabar rápido e irte. Muy caro para la calidad y servicio

We were thrilled when we got a reservation to have the famed paella (FYI, it's NOT with seafood, it's a traditional Valencian chicken paella). Also, it's only on a Sunday and you must reserve to have paella. Unfortunately my husband found a really long, dark hair in his plate. We're not fussy diners but the waiter pretty much just shrugged when we told him and later asked us if we enjoyed the food. Service wasn't great either -- we had to eventually signal to the waiter that we're ready to get paella because he seems to have forgotten about us. From other reviews it sounds as if we were really unlucky but we would not recommend, especially if you don't speak Spanish (no English menus). On the plus side, the house wine (white) was interesting.
