Nove is a great Restaurant. The food and service is amazing. We go to Saratoga every year and always have dinner at Nove. I would recommend this Restaurant to everyone I know.
We love the food ! Everytime we leave, we start planning on our next return. The hostesses/hosts greet us as if we are VIP. The waitresses/waiter and servers represent Nove' at its finest. The cuisine is phenomenal. Never a disappointment, ALWAYS a delight!
The moment I walked in I felt nourished and rejuvenated. The waitstaff were pleasant and friendly. I perused both the food menu and the wine list and both have an exceptional, expansive variety. If you're a wine lover you'll appreciate the wine selection. The food menu covers everything from mozzarella sticks to pasta entrées to wood-fired pizza. Prices are comparable to the other Italian restaurants around town - but Nove is worth every bite!! They even have cappuccino! There are gluten-free options, too. So even though Nove is Italian for nine, I give this place a 10. ;-) ;-)
The food was outstanding! The Fruti di Mare was spicy and saucy, the chicken Marsala was delicious and the pasta in both was cooked to a perfect al dente. The ceilings were low which made it a little loud but the food made up for it!
Had dinner with another couple at this place last night, what a great find! I ordered simple salad and lasagna of which both were delicious. I tasted the calamari in a hot suace which my buddy ordered and I will definitely be coming back soon just for that. Overall great restaurant.
Our favorite Friday night spot ! Matt the bartender is fantastic! Great service, Conversation and amazing food each time. I honestly can not say enough about this place! Go and enjoy Matt at the bar he will make you feel like your enjoying drinks with a old friend ☘️He keeps us coming back !
My girlfriends and I had dinner at Nové last night. The food was delicious but the service was even better! Our server went above and beyond. We can not say enough great things about our experience at Nové. Highly recommend!
This was our first time visiting Nove. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the food was delicious. We had a large group and everyone was happy with their meals. Waitstaff was professional and helpful. Will definitely be back.
On a recommendation we ordered Pizza to go. Nove Sicilian pizza was delicious. Likely the best I've had outside NYC. We finished the evening with canolli that was equally satisfying. I will be back to sample more of the menu.
Best restaurant we know of in Upstate NY. Phenomenal environment, feels very classy - but you can wear jeans. Every dish we've had has been memorable. Every bill has been too - so much lower than we've expected. The bruschetta, and the desserts are amazing.
Good food and feeling for an area italian restaurant. Never been disappointed with a meal.
Anthony, Sara, and Katie are amazing bartenders. They go out of their way for their customers, dedicated and hard workers. I will always come back to Nove for these 3 bartenders. It is a true pleasure to see them behind the bar, and make sure that the customer is always happy with service, food and beverage. 10/10 for these 3!
Our waiter Tony was so nice and kept coming by our table to make sure that everything was good and to ask if we needed anything. Tony is a excellent waiter.. Our meal was wonderful and it was my birthday and Tony brought over a sparkler candle and a fantastic lemon sorbet that was inside of a big lemon and cream in the bowl that the lemon sat in...all I can say is that we had a wonderful evening and everything was delicious. If you haven't been to Nove you need to go..you will love the food, the atmosphere and the employees.
Always a great homemade style meal, phenomenal flavor and always cooked to perfection. Great for takeout dinners or dine in, staff is accommodating and friendly. Many Italian plates to choose from. Also, the pizza is fantastic!!
Favorite Italian restaurant in the area. The clams in the bread bowl are so good and the best eggplant parm.
I've never had a better bar experience than this. Matt, the bartender, I felt like I met in a past life, just makes you feel like you're a close friend. Great cocktails, not horribly striyng, but certainly not weak... Food's great too, especially the pizza. Would recommend going to the bar and chatting with Matt... I feel like he's the heart and soul of the place, although I've only been there three times.
It was my 81st. Birthday and there were 11 of us. Ashley, was a outstanding hostess in every aspect from beginning to end. The accommodations were in a perfect spot. The service was terrific. The appetizers, entrees and deserts were excellent. We love the home town feel from the time you arrive to saying, "goodnight ". Mr. Pat Pinto
This is my all time favorite place to get italian food. Everything is made fresh from scratch and i've never, ever had a bad meal here. Whenever I get asked where I would like to go eat, I always pick this place! Every time we go, we have an amazing server who goes out of their way to make you happy in the food is consistently amazing! If you haven't tried this place yet.I truly recommend that you do. I would definitely make reservations ahead of time. So you don't have to wait when you get there. Other than that, I give the place a hundred percent!!!!! Thank you Nové for always delivering an amazing experience, paired with high quality fresh yummy food!!!
One of the best Italian meals I've ever had. The clams in white wine sauce appetizer in the garlic bread bowl was tremendous. And the prices were more than reasonable. Especially for the top notch quality food. A++
Excellent Italian food, v good service and romantic ambiance. We've tried many of their entrees and everything is delicious!! And, if you like a thicker pizza crust, their Sicilian is fantastic! You pay a little more, but it's definitely worth it!! Enjoy!
Dinner was delicious great spot to eat and enjoy the outdoor garden with a bocce court !!veal chop was cooked perfectly as well as the pork chop , melted in your mouth ! Bobby the manager greeted us with a big smile and made us feel so comfortable very accommodating for a table of 6 people
My wife and I have been here on two separate occasions - once for dinner, and once just for a quick drink. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a whole other story. Well laid out, good intimate lighting, and generally quiet. Pricing is reasonable for the area, portions are a good size, and the food is on point. When we stopped in for a drink, the bartender was exactly as chatty as we felt like being, and when my wife and I were talking to each other, didn't interrupt us. The wait staff is attentive and polite, but not overly attentive like some. Overall, both experiences have been solid.
A friend recommended this place. We were driving home and ordered takeout. By far th best pizza I've had in a long time. Crust was perfect, sauce was delicious, and cheese mixture was perfect. Highly recommended on this alone. Looking forward to going back and dining in to try some of their other dishes.
I was introduced to Nove Italian by my Mother-in-Law. She had been searching the Saratoga/Wilton area looking for a nice place to host our rehearsal dinner. She gave the place rave reviews so on a whim, my MIL, wife and I stopped in there for lunch when we were in the area. The food was excellent, the staff was extremely friendly and we had an excellent first impression. We chose to have the rehearsal dinner here, about 30 people. They put together a menu of two options, salad, bread and table wine for us and we all had a great experience. Once again food and service were top shelf. I suggested this place to friends last week and 4 of us from high school (20 year reunion) w/wives met for dinner. Several of us chose to order off of the evening specials and were very happy we did! The pork special was phenomenal and ranked "in the top 5 meals I've ever eaten" according to one of my friends. He placed it up there with Bobby Flay's restaurant in Vegas in terms of quality. I had ordered the same thing and it was without a doubt the best pork I've eaten. We have always been treated well here and have never had a bad dish. We look forward to going back again and again. Don't miss the tiramisu for dessert...delightful!
Tonight was our second experience at Nove. After remembering we had a good experience and good food the first time, we decided to go back. Tonight, Tony was our server. Tony was very friendly, attentive and had great recommendations. Our food was great and so was our service. Thank you Tony, we will definitely be back!!
Absolute five star experience. The food was phenomenal, my ultimate favorite dish brought to the table was the frutti de mare which had a very light sauce that was very flavorful. Other items were amazing as well, and the only thing that I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend were the mixed drinks. They just didn’t have the same flair that the food did but I’m happy to skip the drinks in favor of an amazing meal. Would one hundred percent recommend.
Went for dinner with my family. My wife and I were in from California and the family came up from NJ to spend time and this was the perfect Italian dining for all of us. Classy but not stuffy. Dress code is lax. Despite there being an oversight on the wait for food the management more than made up for it. I gauge Italian restaurants with their chicken parmesan and theirs more than met my expectations. I wish I would have known that there was a bocce ball court in the outside area ... Would have loved to have thrown some stones. Looks like I have another excuse to come back next year. Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and friendly staff and servers. All in an upscale feel that will not kill your wallet. For 6 of us to eat we spent just over 200 dollars and all ate like kings 🤴
Bobby greeted my party of 6 people with a warm welcome ! He made some great suggestions for dinner which was excellent !! Pasta was delicious fried calamari was yummy . A perfect meal after the track ! Highly recommend
We consistently have a good experience here. Excellent food, excellent service and very personable wait staff (Angela was our waitress, and did a really nice job). Nove also has the best pizza in the area, they are our "go to" for takeout.
Nove has been a part of my Saratoga tradition for years. You can not get a better meal and a better price. I rarely get different things to eat at Italian places but at Nove there are so many great choices you can never go wrong! The staff is attentive and always ready to help. Especially during these trying times they are going above and beyond to keep the guests and themselves safe. I would have no doubt sending someone for a meal. Keep it up guys!
Ralphie was the best. Suggested perfect meals and made the night special.
Hands down the best food in the Capital District. The hospitality is unmatched—Bob, the manager, is an exceptional host.
Had a beautiful evening celebrating a special occasion with 14 of my friends. The meal was spectacular with one great dish after the next. Excellent chicken parm and spicy rigatoni. The ambiance was perfect and it even ended with a few stories from the legend himself, Bobby. Highly recommend after a great day of winning at the Saratoga track.
Me and my wife enjoyed a delicious dinner at Nove today. We started with the meatballs and then had Penna Vodka. Fresh bread along with pizza bread is served with the meal. The portions are large and the service is impeccable. The food itself was amazing. We went in with a wheelchair and it was easy to navigate around.
Had a wonderful experience eating our dinner here. The wait staff, the menu, and our meal were very enjoyable. A great American Italian restaurant and atmosphere. They have outdoor dining available and private party areas. The clams in white sauce served in a bread bowl was very good. Good sized portions as well.
First time here for a family birthday dinner. First off the service was great. Our server Carmine did not miss a beat . He was very attentive and followed up on every part of the meal . The food was great- from the bar to the apps and the main course. Pasta was fresh and dishes very flavorful, without being heavy and over powering . they made my brothers day, with a special "sparkling" dessert. A great experience all the way around. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you.
We have been to Nové many times and always have a great time. The food is great and taste amazing. My husband and I try to get a different dish each time but always seem to always get the pizza to go cause it’s great at the restaurant and great for lunch the next day. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and we are always having a good time with them
Nové is the best Italian in Saratoga! The owner Lou is a gentleman and Bobby was an amazing host
Great place to go and have a meal. Excellent take out options too
Easter dinner with 9 people. Food was excellent (had the fruta de mar) as all agreed. Service was prompt and attentive. We have been there before and they are consistent in all categories. And my Manhattan was exemplary!
Our choice place to eat, either us two or with friends n family. Great food large portions family style. Fantastic friendly service. We have been there several times never disappointed. Our waitress Kensie was great. Louie and Bob always stops by to ask if everything going OK. You will love the food. Thank you Louie.
Amazing fresh fish, great meal from bread, to apps through dinner. A hidden gem that has become a new favorite, atmosphere could use a little help, but service is excellent and makes up for what the atmosphere lacks
Everything was amazing! Food and staff! Will definitely be returning. Our waiter, I believe his name was Zorko, was top notch. Very kind and attentive, took care of everything for us. He was such a pleasure. Really helped with the experience. And the food was absolutely out of this world!
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant i have come across in a very long time. I usually travel to Saratoga every year and have found my new favorite spot. The meatballs are out of this world! Staff is very attentive and friendly. I cannot wait to be back! Thank you so much!
Wanted to try a new to us restaurant since our reservation at another restaurant was canceled. Checked the reviews and menu and Nove fit the bill. Food was excellent and the service was great. Our server Mike was the only one working the section we were sitting in and he was attentive to every table. Loved hearing all the old Italian songs that our parents and grandparents listen to. Will definitely be back when we can sit outside on the patio.
Very Outstanding food and great service. We were smart enough to make a reservation-suggest you do also. You won't find a better Italian meal in the area than Nove. Every aspect of was superb-amazing appetizers, the bread dish includes slices of incredible tomato pie. Plan on taking home leftovers because the portions are huge. Also, if you are dining as a party of 2, probably you should split the June Salad, as the portion is insanely large-- one of the best Salads I have ever eaten.
Wanted to try the pizza for awhile, finally drove through the area and it's really solid pizza. Had a nice light crisp outside and soft inside of the crust, made for a great flavor and chew. The zeppoles I decided to try as I've never had them before, they were pretty good and would try again.
Food was incredible!! We had 3 courses and every one was excellent. Great service too!
Great food, and great service! Ralphie is the best, super friendly, very thorough with the menu, and super patient. Food came out quickly and the pizza bread is amazing! The Margherita Pizza, Chicken Nové, and the NY Strip steak was absolutely delicious. The strip steak was extremely tender.
Have been here a handful of times— Food is consistently good, as is the service. Stopped in at a particularly busy time for a drink and appetizer at the bar and was thoroughly impressed with Jamie. She was a complete pro behind the bar and went above and beyond with her service! She was amazing.
Ralphie is AMAZING! So knowledgeable, fun, and kind. Makes you laugh! The food - incredible! We can't wait to come back!
WOW!!!!!! I was blown away by the incredible service I got here with Ralphie (highly recommend)! All of the food we got was absolutely delicious! I would not hesitate to come here again. This was my favorite chicken parm i have had in the area! Cannot wait to come back for the shrimp scampi 🤤. I also got a winter mule from the bar and it was 10/10 on taste and presentation! For dessert the nutella zeppolis were stunning and tasty!
I have been to a ton of restaurants around the Saratoga area. Not only was this restaurant peak in terms of food with three different bread options for starters and wonderfully flavorful dishes but the atmosphere was wonderful! Sound barriers everywhere to make sure that your conversation is the only one you’re hearing. It was dimly lit for a romantic feel but not so dim you need a flashlight to read the menu. The service was also phenomenal! We didn’t run into a single person who would change my mind. Sonja was our waitress and she is top notch! 10/10 recommend for all occasions!
This is the place to be in Saratoga! The staff is competent, friendly and helpful. The food is amazing especially the Arthur Avenue Raviolli!! GREAT SUNDAY SAUCE!
Service by Sonya was top tier. My husband had planned a dinner out for us and suggested Nove. We have had dinner there a handful of times and had always quite enjoyed it. We were seated by the Manager Ashley in our favorite spot. We were then greeted by our server Sonya and can I just tell you....she was wonderful! She was very engaging and professional and made sure to our preferences were accommodated. We look forward to going back for not only the meal but the excellent service. Thank you Sonya and Nove! We will be back soon.
I was not planning on eating out this evening. Definitely wasn’t dressed for it, but my mother insisted. So I suggested a restaurant I’ve driven by often but hadn’t yet eaten at (had takeout once). Luckily they seated us (though it’s possible they did give away the first table they said was being prepped for us to a regular). From the moment we sat down though service was attentive and excellent. But the food! Delizioso! We ordered a couple of meatballs to start - moist and flavorful. I ordered the Chilean sea bass - a special for the evening - and it was the best piece of fish I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly prepared, my mother practically licked up what I didn’t finish. Her lasagna was meaty and flavorful as well. She brought much of it home to enjoy for a few more meals. Next time we will save room for the in-house prepared desserts. We’ll definitely be back - better dressed for the occasion.
This restaurant was our pick for my husband and my 31st anniversary. It was a packed restaurant, but thankfully, we had reservations. Our waitress was exceptional and very attentive, even though it was crazy busy. The shared appetizer, clams with white wine and buttery garlic, served in a bread bowl, one of our favorites, did not disappoint. The cocktails were just right, along with bread and butter on the table. Our meals were delicious and served piping hot. I had the shrimp parm , served with four jumbo butterflied and perfectly breaded shrimp, blanketed with sauce and mozzarella. It came with a side of spaghetti,. My husband had the Sunday sauce with rigatoni. This came with meatballs, pork, Italian sausage, and braciole. Both were enough to fill the plates, our stomachs, and a take-home container for lunch the next day! Both red sauces were very different in flavor. Mine, like a marinara, and his, like a holiday meal cooked by my Nonni. Dinner was capped off with hot coffee, cheesecake, and flourless chocolate cake! Every course was perfectly prepared and served! I recommend Nove to everyone I know!! I can't wait to go back!!
A wonderful experience!!! The food and drinks were delicious, portions were large, and the bread was amazing. It's a beautiful restaurant. Carmine especially went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. We celebrated a birthday and he made sure she felt special and had a great birthday dinner. He also made sure our allergies were accommodated. It was truly phenomenal and I wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Got there before dinner rush but had a reservation just to be sure as it was my first visit. Greeted and seated very quickly and was told who would be coming to take care of us. Low light and good music to set the vibe for an Italian dinner. Very friendly staff and really good food. I'll be back!!(Arnold Schwarzenegger voice)
After watching Dave Portnoys pizza review of Nove, my friends and I had to go here and try the pizza. Dave rated Noves neopolitan pizza an 8.6. I would give it a 7.8. If it was a little less greasy and a little less cheesy it would have been an easy 8.5. Service is great, atmosphere is great, prices are good. Seems like a good place to take the girlfriend or wife. They have a nice big outside dining area and a very nice bar inside. Highly recommend making a reservation or you will likely be waiting
The food is always excellent. We made our reservation online which was super easy. I had the eggplant parmigiano with spaghetti. It was such a generous portion that I had to carry out the rest of my meal. They made my granddaughters birthday extra special. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great, weight staff was great, it was too dark and there was a guy hanging around looking at us the whole time we ate.
Ordered by phone and picked up. Food was fantastic! June salad, lasagna, eggplant rigatoni and meatballs. Didn't get the cheesecake we ordered, it appears they must have run out and substituted a brownie without notifying us.
I had reservations at Nove 7/14/22 at 7:15. We arrived on time and the Hostess said it would be a couple of minutes they were setting our table. While we waited more patrons arrived and were seated immediately. After 20 minutes she realized we were still waiting. She ran and set up our table. There were 4 people in our party, she brought 3 menus. When you’re seating 4 people, bring 4 menus. Our waiter Tyrone was awesome. He was very attentive to our table. When he mentioned that veal chops were on the special menu, we said what special menu? He went to get us a special menu, after he walked away, the Hostess with the leastest ran by our table and dropped the special menu on our table. Tyrone and the food were amazing. I only gave 4 stars because the Hostess was horrible. I understand it was opening day, but there is no excuse for making us wait for a table, when we sat 4 to 5 parties that came in after us.
Dinner was great. So was the service and atmosphere. Little bit of a older crowd which didn't bother us. I gave this 4 star because the desserts were awful! We got them to go my husband's cheesecake was like a sponge. I actually had to spot it out. My canolli was flavorless expect for the chocolates added to it.
The food was very good. The service was not. We were basically ignored. No one came to ask us how our meal was, did we need more butter, etc. I think you have to be part of the “in crowd” to get decent service. Obviously we were not going to spend a huge amount and I think they sensed that. But the food is excellent.
Good Food but our server was more interested in flinging her hair around. Her hair is quite long and while she had it pulled back the ponytail was flying around with every turn. Thought it was going to land in my food at one point- yes it was that long. They really need to make her tie it up! 😠
We always do takeout because the lighting inside is kept very, very dim. Every meal has been delicious, especially the eggplant parm. Would be a 5 star review had I not felt completely cheated on the Caesar salad, which was listed and priced in the menu as a full salad ($10.95) but was very small. I won't order it again (a shame, as the croutons are to die for!) Please reconsider the size of your to-go salads or lower the price. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Our waiter was really good, he has a real Italian accent.
Finally got around to have dinner here, we have heard such great things. The service was friendly, food was great and the drinks were made pretty well. The burnt brussels werent just as so but still very good. We went on a Friday night and the place was pretty full, perhaps consoder making reservations as we did. The dim dinner ambiance could be lightened up just a touch but we would love to return to try dofferent menu items.
Caught them on opening race day but the staff handled it like champions! Our appetizers were excellent. Do not pass on the meatball sliders or bruschetta. The Pappardelle Bolognese is definitely a star on the menu. The Chicken and Shrimp Parmigiana were very good, maybe not great. Dessert was also hit. Certainly give them a try!
As always, food was excellent. However, service was sketchy. The awesome roasted red pepper soup was served lukewarm at best as was the calamari. Same with dinner. Probably all sitting a long while. Sever had zero personality. I'd definitely return as the food is always good and may have been a one time experience.
I am a Saratoga Springs local who drives past Nove at least 4 times weekly. I stopped in once and the great service is what continues to bring me back. I typically only write positive reviews because there are enough people out there with an issue to off-set true ratings but upon receiving a sub par salad for the third time, I can’t not chalk it up to a bad produce day or a fluke. Again, the staff are phenomenal. The pasta and pizza are AMAZING! I love and trust the seafood here! The salads, whether it is the buyer, or the chef are 3/3 for browning, limp iceberg lettuce. For 10.95, I am looking for a great salad, not a salad where I eat around brown, limp lettuce. This is an amazing restaurant! I want to see this restaurant stay and flourish so I am asking and begging the produce purchaser, the chef, the kitchen staff and the wait staff to hold your salads to a higher standard. Please please please make this a place that I want to come back to!
My boyfriend and I had a mixed dining experience here. When walking into the restaurant, it had a very strange scent that was off-putting. We were seated and right away we saw that my boyfriends water glass was dirty. Then, the complimentary "pizza" bread was cold as ice and not appetizing at all - I took one bite and could not finish it. The environment itself could be better - even if it's still light outside they should keep the blinds down instead of having them partially up along with ambient/mood lighting. It was not very cozy - especially since we were seated right next to the window. We ordered the brussel sprouts side dish to share as an app, and they were just ok - not very crisp or flavorful. Luckily, the entrees were redeeming! I enjoyed my chicken marsala and my boyfriend enjoyed his chicken parm. But, the best part of the entire night was dessert: the flourless chocolate cake. One of the best i've had! We really liked our server and he had only been there a few weeks. I'd go back for a drink and dessert. I just wish the vibe was different...
The atmosphere seemed nice inside. We ordered pizzas to go. The deep dish was awful. The texture and flavor. Both pizzas had sausage, which was not liked by anyone in our party. It reminded me of previously frozen cheap sausage. You can get more flavor from a McDonalds sausage breakfast sandwich. The price was high for pizzas. I don't mind paying higher prices if the food is good. This was not. We tried this place because of the rave reviews. We are not fans.
Really nothing special. The restaurant was not busy and had a quite a few open tables but we were at a table right by the kitchen so my view was of the kitchen and wait staff going in and out. Our waiter was very good but the food was really nothing special. I’m not sure why Nove is considered one of the best in the area.
The food was reliably delicious and we spent nearly $200 for just two people only to be rushed through the meal by our waiter. He didn't even ask if we wanted dessert and took my coffee cup away before I was even done drinking it.
We have been to Nove about a dozen times over the years. To be blunt about it my 3 star rating, says it all. Four of us left disappointed. Veal parm meat was overdone. Linguini with shrimp and scungili was skimpy on the shell fish, lots of pasta. Delicious sauce. Fish platter not consistent as past times. Desert: Carot cake toppled over broken. The biggest jaw dropper was the Italian ricotta cheese cake (a joke). Sized like a half cup cake, no flavor and not what Nove used to serve. An espresso martini had no alcohol. It was Easter dinner for us. I totally understand how busy and crowded the holiday can be. As the place filled up. Service slowed down. It used to be a favorite of ours. I will give Nove one more try. So far Schenectady restaurants has Saratoga restaurants over a barrel when it comes to italian food and consistency. FYI we are local.
Well they increased there already expensive prices. $20 for fettuccine Alfredo when you don't get a salad or meat is extremely pricey for off Broadway Saratoga. I mean I would understand maybe if it was the best fettuccine Alfredo ever but it is just middle of the road. I live close by and get take out here often and have eating in restaurant before and it seems they cater more towards in restaurant diners. They offer valet in the summer time and try to make the restaurant seem really fancy by having cool sounding meals as specials. However I think they are a bit short on the high quality fancy restaurant target they are shooting for based on their prices. I have eaten at many high quality pricey places locally Saratoga national and many Ruth Chris restaurants around the country. They have insane prices because the quality is insane high to match the prices. Here the price is high but quality is only par. Either the quality needs to be severity increased or the prices need to come down. I know I will not be returning any time soon after their recent undeserving price hike. Overall I am a fan of this establishment and want to see it succeed and continue to be around. However knowing it has changed hands and names a few times over the years I could easily see this recent price hike as a beginning to and end for Nove. Perhaps they will increase the quality to match the prices or decrease the prices. However I am not holding my breath and will be some time before I and willing to sink $20-25 a meal for pasta and sauce to find out.
Service was good but we both thought the food was horrid. Tomato sauce was straight out of a can no seasonings whatsoever. Bruschetta was so hard my tooth almost came out .Went there one time and it will be the last time.
My boyfriend and I went for dinner this past week. We got sat at a table in between 2 other tables. Both of the families sitting on either side of us were from the city. This was perfectly fine, obviously. But what bothered me was the way our waiter treated us. He had a mediocre level of respect for us but went above and beyond to the other tables by as because, just like him, they were from the city. We were so close we could hear everything they said. So when he offered them extra free starter dishes (the tomato pie), and shared the specials of the night with them and not with us. I felt a ting of rudeness. My boyfriend and I were ready to leave as I was beginning to get uncomfortable and just wanted to go home. I felt as though he was avoiding us. Never got our drinks refilled. All we had was water. He kept walking by repeatedly even if I was in mid word trying to politely ask for the check. We only got our check when he got it for the one table next to us. Once we received it and ran our card, only until we got home realized we got charged the wrong amount.. it was only a few dollars more, but it was more or less the principal that I felt that we were not shown an equal amount of courtesy as others. I'm a local and always have been and have been soooo excited to try nové for years and was beyond excited to go. I unfortunately do not believe I will be back as it didn't live up to the hype, especially not for the price. Food was good but not as good as I was expecting.
We have gone to Nove during the Saratoga season many times; always enjoyed their food and prices were fair. Belmont weekend had none of their traditional menu items and the prices were almost doubled. Our waiter asked if we wanted flat or sparkling water, so we said "flat", thinking it was tap water. When the bill came, we were charged $14 for two bottles of water, which the waiter said was "flat" water. We never asked for any kind of bottled water, let alone two bottles, which he took it upon himself to bring. When we questioned him, he said we said "flat" water (because he never explained it) and then said in a cocky manner that "he would pay for it". All 4 of us did not appreciate the way he waited on us. Between the prices for that weekend being raised and our waiter's attitude, we will be hard pressed to go back there again. Oh, and btw, we are in Saratoga for 40 days each season for the last 20 years, not just newcomers. Very disappointed in Nove!
We came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day, while I understand this is a busy holiday I will not be returning to this establishment. Throughout the entire night plates were stacked up as pictured in my view that were dirty. The server while not rude was not friendly and was frazzled the entire night. If you asked for a drink or the check he either forgets or he takes a long while before returning. The music was too loud and while the lights were dimmed for ambience it was too dark and felt basement like. The food was not fresh & was too hot when served to be enjoyed. The cocktails were not enjoyable and were watered down. You know a place is bad when you decide to skip dessert.
We went out for a nice dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant was so cold people were wearing their jackets. The service was fair at best, the chicken parm cheese was already solidified when it arrived, and the beer selection was Poor. The marinara sauce tasted like it was ragu and the parking lot was a sheet of ice. Really disappointed. During Covid, we don’t get out as much and this was not good. I expect less service right now, but the things that need to be good weren’t.
We went here based on the recommendations from Bar Stool Reviews (which is a few years old). Pizza was really lousy as well as the clam chowder. Bar stool likes crispy thin crust. Our was thick and under cooked- and the cheese was greasy- very disappointing. Clam chowder had a strong taste of chicken broth. Based on other reviews the food appears to be hit or miss since there are good reviews here and a number of bad as well. Not worth the trip so far from town when there are better options near by.
Service was excellent but unfortunately ordered chicken marsala that had no marsala flavor at all. So i asked if they could just give me a little more marssla sauce without taking my plate back. They eventually took my plate and brought it back tasting exactly the same. Ended up wrapping it. My husbands steak was grizzly and fatty. Paid the big check but we will not be back
Ordered pick-up on a Thursday night I got the Lasagna. This is our first time ordering and Lasagna is my barometer for Italian food restaurants. The top pasta layer was like a piece of cardboard. The meat and cheese was ok. The sauce had hardly any flavor and very watery. Wife got Fettuccine Alfredo. Again had almost no flavor…hardly any pepper…again very watery. Pasta tasted like cheap instant pasta. Extra two meatballs ordered had hardly any spices. Very bland unflavored meat…sauce was terrible. Bread was stale and whipped butter had no taste. Flushed $50 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and go to Momma Mia’s for good Italian food. Yuck.
Really sad to say as this was my favorite summer spot and restaurant around. Completely gone downhill. Service is so so drinks are watered down and food low quality. As a matter of fact food came out in 10 min no way it was cooked fresh no way. Disappointed now I gotta search for replacement summer spot for dinners
Very disappointing takeout experience. I arrived shortly after the expected time and they took my money (more than $100 for 5 pies) and said it would be just a few minutes. Five minutes later I saw the hostess, manager and chef arguing in the kitchen - it was clear they had lost my order. The hostess came out and told it would be five minutes more, and held up five fingers. It was 25 minutes more. There are more professional and customer-friendly ways to handle a mistake. Lying to your customers is perhaps the single worst option.
We have been going to Nove for years and tonight after our group spending $600 we had terrible service. This waiter with a downstate attitude took forever to get our drinks and treated us poorly. When our checks came he stood and watched each of us to make sure he received a tip. We put a 20 plus % tip but added it in the total. He took the receipt and demanded we break out the tip. We told him to subtract the bill from the total and that was his tip. We live one mile from Nove but will go to the Wishing Well more often now. Nove must have changed ownership because they now have a NYC attitude towards customers.
Stopped in for dinner, the server was nice and friendly, however that was about it. We waited over 30+ Minutes for our meals to come out while others that were seated well after us had already received their meals. Then after finally receiving our long awaited meals, the chicken Marsala looked like it was slopped together more as a rushed after thought then anything…runny bland liquid for sauce, half sized portion, absolutely no flavor and really poor presentation. Can’t believe the kitchen would have even sent this out to a customer. Very disappointed after reading good reviews, but definitely won’t be back.
Easter Sunday was terrible in there. We waited 15 mins to be seated even with reservations. The tables were on top of each other and the waitress couldn’t reach Everyone at our table so she passed the drinks and food. You couldn’t back your chair up with out hitting the chair behind you. The expresso martinis had no alcohol in them and weren’t served at the same time. My carrot cake split in two and the waitress said oh well. Could not get a side salad. You could order a big salad. The main course was lukewarm. Tons of pasta but little of the shrimp topping. Very disappointed all the way around. They should not have crammed tables together and perhaps have more wait staff and cooks. It will be awhile before we return if we return.
