Great food at an unbeatable price. For people unaccustomed to Vietnamese food I recommend starting out with the "Bo Loc Lac" which translates to Shaking Beef. It's filet mingon cubes tossed in a butter soy sauce on a bed of watercress and veggies. It comes with rice or fries, personally I recommend the rice here. The most popular dish here is probably their filet skillet served with garlic butter and a dipping sauce. I also enjoy their special rice noodle which is a Vietnamese classic.
If you like Udon noodles, they serve "home-made" noodles, NOT the pre-made manufactured stuff. Their noodles are soft, chewy, irregular in size and shape because its made by slicing strings of dough directly into boiling water. There's no comparison to the pre-made stuff. Try it once and you'll be hooked.
This little whole in the wall has won 5 stars for their com ga roti. It's rotiss fried chicken which a garlic sauce and rice. It's the bomb. This place also gives you a salad and soup with a meal. This place is a must try I hear their sword fish is quite good also
Khoi Hung has perfect customer service. I recommend garlic steak with baguette and fresh squeezed orange juice. More than enough for breakfast.
They are easy to find because the plaza is right next to the gas station from the street. I consider this place is like my little hidden gem because their food is amazing. The service here is very friendly and food comes out real quick which makes it a perfect place to go to in you're in a rush. Unfortunately they do close on Tuesdays though. I have my go to dishes that I always choose no matter which restaurant I go to so obviously I'm looking for that wow factor flavor that has me craving to come back. All their dishes here that I've tried has that unique taste. It's not just me that notices this because even my picky parents who are a bit of a health fanatics agree with me. Must try dishes are the lamb dish, beef with rice, chicken with rice, and their salted plum soda. I've noticed lots of people like to order to-go here too which is what we usually do too.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant OC. There are plenty items in the menu that is perfect for gathering. They have big tables for group and family. Foods are excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Came in for the first time and the food and customer service are amazing! We got the virmicelli and fried noodles bowls and they were 10/10! Would def come again.
I had the shaken beef with garlic noodles. The food was delicious and the service was good.
I had Bo Luc Lac subd Bahn Mi for Rice, it was delicious.
The lamb chops with garlic butter sauce is so delicious. I ordered it with french fries which is very satisfying. However, if they can give more salads it would be a perfect meal. The price is very reasonable. Their service is great.
I would rate 4.5 stars if I could but I decided to be nice and rate up. The restaurant itself is unassuming but the food is really good especially for the price you pay. $7 for the house specialty fried chicken? Great deal! The chicken is nice and crispy but also really moist as well. Other reviews have stated that the chicken is bland, and while I agree, the sauce that comes with the chicken makes up for the lack of flavor in the chicken itself. The sauce is obviously where the flavor is supposed to come from and I'm glad it's on the side, other wise, the texture would become soggy. The restaurant is cash only but I feel like many mom and pop restaurants in Westminster and Garden Grove have this policy so it's nothing strange for the area. And for anyone who's lived around the area, I believe this restaurant either has the same or similar chef to what used to be Tai Buu down the street. So if you've been to Tai Buu, you know how delicious the food is here.
First time coming here and we were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food quality and somewhat out of Vietnamese ordinary. We ordered "Xoi Ga", "Hu Tiu Nam Vang" and "Bun Rieu" and all were good but their "Xoi Ga" is now on our favorite dishes. We noticed that other customers around all ordered without exception some sizzling dishes of Beef Steak or Filet Mignon so these seem to be the restaurant signatures. Next time, we will try one of these signatures dish for sure, as well as the "Lamb Chops" that also looks very tempting too. Service was fast and staffs were also friendly and very reasonable pricing. We'd suggest the owner to rearrange the restaurant decor a bit to make it more trendy and young crowd would flock the place. Just goto other crowdy places to inspire from, get some paint in the blue/gray modern tone, move some furniture around and you get a winning recipe. Thank you, keep it up...
Great French-Vietnamese restaurant in Westminster. Not too flashy, delicious food and ample portions. Make sure to order their FRIED CHICKEN WITH CHEF'S SPECIAL SAUCE or their FILET MIGNON with garlic butter. Their macaroni is a good side dish as well.
Fast service and a lot of sizzling dishes filled with butter, garlic, and onions. The mahi mahi was very meaty and the steak was cooked properly. The images on the menu make the dishes look small but you get a lot of food for the price. The floor can be slippery due to the sizzling grease though so watch your step.
The food here is amazing. Highly recommend you try the bo luc lac (shaken beef) with red rice, and the lamb chop on sizzling plate.
Filet Mignon all the way! Absolutely obsessed with getting this with the garlic butter and a side of the noodles (nui). The noodles are also stir fried and are great at soaking up any extra sauce in your sizzling plate. Each order comes with a salad and soup (we got crab meat soup)
Great food and service at this restaurant. Try out fish plates.
Walking into Khoi Hung Restaurant, your nose will prepare you. This food is good! The most common order is the Ribeye steak serve sizzling with garlic and onion and butter melting allover. This is one of the rare places you can eat goat curry with a baby bagette. Our family affectionately calls Khoi Hung Restaurant- "Baby Baggettes" enjoy
Randomly stopped by this spot and wow every dish was a hit. Service was great and food came out fast. Such a huge fan of the chunks of garlic they put on everything we ordered— so flavorful and the ribeye with garlic sauce and bo luc lac were both cooked to medium perfection. The garlic chicken wings were crispy, flavorful, and the salt and pepper on the side created such a great bite.
Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. The garlic butter filet mignon is by far the best (better than the pepper). The lamb chop was also well done. The gà rô ti sauce was good, although the chicken was a little dry. Overall very cozy and a good experience.
If you’re craving for some down to earth food Viet style steaks and hot plates this is the place. The Roti chicken is 🔥, it’s super crispy and tasty. They even have a sizzling halibut plate also. The red rice is a must with all the dishes. Don’t forget the fried eggs too. Hehe.
1/25 Back in SoCal and made our usual visit to Khoi 2 days in a row. Staff are super friendly and add to the reason we make an effort to come back. We have some similar spots in Sacramento but the family still likes Khoi filet mignon sizzling plate with butter sauce and red rice the most. Lamb chops are good as well done medium rare. Previous review Filet Mignon sizzling platter is where its at. Whenever we are in SoCal we make a point to stop here. Just came back from our 2nd visit.
The food here is top tier.
Good cheap eats!! Get the sizzling filet platter or the sizzling lamb. You can get garlic or black peppercorn flavored. Comes with a salad and your choice of red rice or fries. Both are very tasty!
Definitely go for the steak options , especially the Shaken Beef or the sizzling Ribeye steak plate! Shaken beef is very flavorful and you have the option of getting it with red rice, bread, or fries. We tried the lambchops as well- pretty good but a little small (which is usually how Lamb is served anyway , more for flavor rather than portion size, so no complaints here!) My bf and I usually get the crispy bread with the Shaken beef so we can dunk it in the sauce 🤤😍 seriously so good !

Great food, low prices, service is OK. Staff are nice but they are too busy to attend to you. Often . You have to wait. Other than that, it's #1 choice restaurant. A great place to bring your boss for a promotion request. A good place to impress a date, too. Joy is in the air. Happiness is 80% from the people you are with and 20% the good food. This place is 100% happiness altogether.
Almost no smg on the food. The waitress was Friendly, change us food and seats gladly. The boss lady also nice. The frog legs were more beautiful than most human legs, But not more than my girlfriend’s. A bit expensive though.
The food was great! The sizzling plates are a must. The servers were cute little ladies who were very attentive. One of the best Vietnamese food I had in a while. Will definitely be returning and be my new spot to eat 😊
My kid and I like the steak here. We ordered Ribeye steak and Shaking beef go with fried rice. The Ribeye steak is great not too salty just perfect and the Shaking beef so juicy.

Need a quick bite? This is my go to spot when im i need to get some food in me. This place is popular for their filet mignon with garlic butter. They have many other food choices but i usually get the steak here.
Nice family restaurant with the sizzling hot steak plates. It seems to be what they do best as everyone orders the sizzling steaks here. Parking lot is small so finding a space can get hard or try parking next door. The tomato fried rice that you get here with the dish is very good, much more flavorful than regular white rice like everywhere else around here.
I enjoyed going here, I've been here a couple times over the years. They have a variety of food and the portions are a good sz. I usually get bun thit nuong. My husband got the steak, it was flavorful, I would get that next time. We went on Father's Day for lunch, it was crowded but hardly any wait.
Food is delicious, I drive 2 hours from San Diego to eat here. I love their many steak dishes. Although few their appetizers have never disappointed. If I had any gripes it's that they take cash only and there's no ac or its never on so it gets a little warm.
This is the only vietnamese restaurant where you can find other types of fishes beside salmon. You also have a choice how you want your fish to be prepared, well done or medium. For me the worse you can do to a piece of steak or fish is to overcook it. Here you have a choice. Thanks a lot Khoi Hung. All items on the menu are done well, bo luc lac is very good. The restaurant is clean, prices are reasonable. Food is consistent Only one problem, sometimes the air-conditioning is not on. I know you want to save money but customers need to eat in a comfortable environment, they want to enjoy and your employees need a pleasant workplace too. Overall, Khoi Hung is a gem, no wonder it has been here for a long time
Favorite things here: Lamb chops on a sizzling skillet with garlic herb butter. Fried quail with fried triangle pieces of sticky rice. Deer curry with bread. Very friendly service that's almost nonexistent at Asian restaurants. Very casual, low key, laid back atmosphere. This is definitely my favorite local Vietnamese joint. Price is very reasonable for the quality.
Mom and pop joint specializing in sizzling plates of steak. I opted for their bun which was very valued price at $8. Service was efficient and food came out quickly.
Out of all the dishes we ordered, I would have to say that the meat dishes were the winner and what they are best at. We ordered: #4: Garlic butter wings were flavorful and had a thin layer of fresh crispness. #11 shaken beef - super soft, came with side of rice #14 ribeye came out on skillet - super soft, came with side of rice and fries #16 fried chicken with sticky rice - this one caught me by surprise. It was delicious. Triangular sticky rice, lightly fried and crispy exterior. The sauce is what makes this dish when you dip it with the chicken. #24 Bún riêu - flavorful rich broth with real crab roe and tofu #22 Bánh canh tôm của - least favorite out of all. Their banh cảnh is not what I’m used to. The noodles remind me of tteokbokki, the Korean rice cake noodles. It was chewy and thick and will expand in your tummy. The broth reminds me of Súp măng cầu the crab soup but wasn’t thick. This version was totally different than what I was craving for and had a hard time finishing. It was my first time but my family second, if I come back with them again, definitely sticking to the meat dishes. 3.5 round to 4.
Upon walking in, you'll most likely get a whiff of the hot butter from the sizzling plates from diners. If they have their doors open, it's most likely due to the dining room being smokey from the plates. They offer a variety of meal options but I think they're mostly known for their sizzling plates and beef dishes. Our group had the com bo luc lac (shaken beef with rice), com suon cuu nuong sot bo toi (lamb chops with garlic butter sauce and rice), and com ribeye sot bo toi (ribeye with garlic butter sauce and rice). Even though we ordered all dishes with the red rice, there were other options to choose such as white rice, fries or bread. I'm not exactly sure what's in the red rice to even describe it. I wasn't a big fan of the red rice but to all their own. The lamb chops and ribeye were presented on a sizzling plate with a side salad with vinegarette dressing. Lamb chops were tender and ribeye lacked flavor. The star of the meal was the bo luc lac. It was also tender, shaken with plenty of sauce, and had chunks of garlic. It was absolutely delicious! The plate also had a side of watercress and onions that complimented the dish well. It was so good, our table had to order another. Portion-wise, I'd say it's a single serving. You may not want to share it with how delicious it is. Service was great, too. Now, I saw another reviewer mention this, so I will too. Just FYI, their drinks are served in small styrofoam cups. They do charge $0.50 for water. It's not a deal breaker but I guess some people may not like it. I'm assuming it's the charge for the cup itself.

Sunday 8/17/25 Lunch at Khoi Hung Restaurant with my sister. Ordered the Ribeye steak and Halibut fish sizzling iron plates with red rice, salads, and French fries. Delicious and enjoyable. Yen, service staff, was friendly, attentive, and service with a smile. Thank you Yen. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast

Not sure what all the fuss is about here. The owner lady chubby with short hair moved us to another table when they had originally set us at our table, strike one. When ordering she was rushing me, who wants to be rushed when you’re trying to order? Strike two. She charged me $2 extra for sauce that came with the halibut and com ga roti. Do they always charge for the sauce? I thought it’s $1 for additional sauce, which we did not order. Would not come back as the service and taste of food was not memorable. 😤
Got their house special fried chicken with red rice. Chicken was a little over fried and not seasoned. The rice was OK, slightly tomatoey in flavor. The garlicky soy sauce was delicious and the free soup was pretty good too. Parking is terrible. Good luck finding a spot.
Good service and options. The steak on sizzling hot plate could have been better marinated or seasoned as it was on the bland side. They are worth another try! Update: On my 2nd visit, the Hu tieu nam vang noodle soup was good and hit the spot but the butter garlic wings were bland and slightly over fried.
Parking is not so ideal. Not too busy during lunch time. Kinda spacious and clean. Menu is various. It has some fusion dishes. I got some banh canh tom cua. The noodles were chewy enough and the shrimp balls has real shrimp. Very little crab meat. The soup is a bit too salty. But that's it. No sliced pork, whole shrimps or quail eggs. No vegetables on the side as well. I dont know if it supposed to be like that.

their banh canh tom cua was way too sweet with excess sugar. Some may like it that way, to me there is no taste and flavor left, just like a bowl of gooey Coca Cola.
Food is good but pretty pricey consider its portion. The ice water need $0.5, and I have never saw any restaurants do not serve free water in US.
$15 for shrimp fried rice, this is how much in the plate, it’s a rip off, not coming back. Beware to those new
Parking is hard to find. Service is just alright. They charged you for everything, a glass of water (I thought by law, they can only charged the customers if they served water bottles. But to go in to eat they have to give customers free tap-water, no?) But they charged $.50 for water. We ate there and ordered fried sweet rice & chicken for togo, and they even charged us $.50 for the togo box. Wth...it was my first time & will be my last.

I wouldn’t eat here if they paid me. I ordered a mahi-mahi plate and they okey-doke me with cat fish nasty 🤢🤮at $16:00 a plate . I’ll will never ever go there again. Its garbage. The waitress asked me if I was good. I told her no that I ordered a mahi-mahi and they gave me catfish soon as I told her that she said something to the kitchen crew and they were laughing after she told them what I said about what they did. So I left spitting out side the door . 🤢🤮NASTY now I wonderd why it was empty . SORRY place to eat if you decide to go be cautious.😞🤬🙄
