Una cena qui alla Locanda è un'esperienza senza pari. Piatti della tradizione ma con ingredienti di altissima qualità con una preparazione che sa far risaltare il piatto rendendolo indimenticabile al palato. Da provare assolutamente.

Ci sono con i miei genitori e mio fratello sabato sera. Abbiamo ordinato 3 antipasti di pesce 1 primo (spaghetti cacio e pepe), pesce spada alla griglia fritto di calamari e infine i dolci. Elegant restaurant with excellent food. I enjoyed the restaurant's original recipe for a salted meat appetizer and Gattinara risotto. The hotel, under new management, is located in a 19th-century villa with underfloor heating, luxury taps from local manufacturers, and large, quiet rooms. Thank you, I had a great time.

Kindness and professionalism are the order of the day. We'd never been there before, but on the advice of a friend, we opened the inn's door this evening!! The owner, a lovely lady, welcomed us, and in less than 10 minutes we had the best ossobuco, enjoyed so far with a lovely saffron risotto! To finish, a spectacular herb liqueur! Warm welcome, elegant setting, and superb cuisine. Both the meat and fish dishes are excellent. For the first time, I tried fried soft-shell crabs... delicious. The mushroom risotto was superb. The wine list was also good. Prices were reasonable.

Villa Cavalleri è una locanda con ristorante inserita in un bello stabile ottocentesco situato alle porte di Gattinara. Provo la ristorazione come al solito un sabato sera presentandomi all'apertura. L'accoglienza è calorosa e gioviale anche perché la conduzione è a carattere familiare. Il ristorante si compone di 2 ambienti con una capienza che penso possa aggirarsi attorno ai 50 coperti. Le sale sono perfettamente manutenute anche se l'arredamento è discutibile (grandi madie non inserite perfettamente nelle pareti d'appoggio, applique che ricordano palchi di corna, colori di sedie e tovaglie non nelle mie corde). Il menù si divide fra piatti della tradizione locale e piatti di mare; la carta dei vini predilige etichette locali e piemontesi oltre ad una selezione di cantine nazionali. Con chi mi accompagna scegliamo come antipasto una tartare di fassone accompagnata da peperoni alla piemontese. Facciamo seguire la carne all'albese da un risotto al Gattonare e concludiamo con un filetto alla griglia accompagnato da patate e carote. Con una bottiglia di Gattinara Franchino, una di Lauritana e 2 caffè spendiamo 146 euro ridotti a 140. Tutte le preparazioni erano squisite e perfettamente cucinate e servite. Il locale accogliente ed il bagno ordinato. Peccato essersi dimenticati dello scontrino al momento di saldare! Merita comunque di essere provato.

Mi sono recato con la famiglia ( 4 adulti e 2 bimbe piccole ) dopo avere prenotato il ristorante per sabato santo. Abbiamo consumato piatti ben preparati con un servizio impeccabile da parte del proprietario e da sua figlia. La cortesia dimostrata è stata un valore aggiunto. Ne siamo usciti tutti soddisfatti. Lo consiglierei a tutti.

Welcoming place, excellent food, friendly staff except for the owner, who was very pushy and unprofessional. (The lady at the entrance, however, was very kind and courteous.) They pointed out that we only ordered the first course but had run out of bread. (We then ordered 8 second courses.) We reported an intolerance and they replied, "You'll know what you can eat" (we couldn't know how it was cooked). The wine menu prices are not updated. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. 🤨

Let's start with the food: the food is very good at reasonable prices. The wine list is good. The location is beautiful, a well-furnished period house with a high-quality table setting. Plenty of free parking nearby. And now we come to the sore point: the manager, with abundant kindness, entertains guests, but in the meantime, doesn't bother to listen to them. Be careful when ordering wines; they might arrive with more bottles than you ordered, which will be added to your final bill. This is unprofessional behavior. The service, therefore, is beyond comment. It's a shame to ruin a lovely evening with a surprise at the end.

Terrible service. Very RACIST comments by the waiter/owner who litterally had the courage of saying to my partner of brown skin that he shouldn't order the chocolate cake becuase he already had so much brown on him. He kept making comments about his appearance. And he thought we should laugh about his jokes. We ask for the bill and he gave us a random number, we pay and then I ask him for a detailed bill. He started acting very weird, like he didn't know how to use the cash machine and that saying his daughter had forgotten to put some extra cost on the 'new' menu and that was why he overcharged us. He repaeted many times that italians, and himself were above anyone else in the planet. Food was ok, but I wouldn't recommend anyone with some value for human rights to give more money to such facist man
